Abstract

The present invention relates to a low-irritant oral composition, and more particularly to a high-bubble, low-irritant oral composition containing a glutamate-based surfactant and an amidopropyl betaine-based surfactant, which hardly irritates the oral mucosa, is excellent in bubble generation performance during use, is less bitter and unpleasant, and is excellent in use feeling.

Description

Low-irritation oral composition
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a low-irritation oral composition, and more particularly to an oral composition containing a glutamate-based surfactant and an amidopropyl betaine-based surfactant, which has excellent foam-generating ability when used, hardly irritates the oral mucosa, reduces bitterness and unpleasant taste, and remarkably improves feeling and preference in use.
Background
Sodium lauryl sulfate is used as a foaming agent in various forms of oral compositions. Sodium lauryl sulfate is widely used as a foaming agent because of its advantages of low bitterness and abundant air bubbles unlike other anionic surfactants, and is also known to be a component that stimulates and induces inflammation.
As described above, anionic surfactants including sodium lauryl sulfate generally have a problem of strong irritativeness. Therefore, in order to improve both the detergency and the foaming property while alleviating the strong irritation, an amphoteric surfactant is used together in some of the known techniques. It is known that such amphoteric surfactants have less irritation than anionic surfactants, and when used in combination with anionic surfactants, the cationic nature of the surfactants makes the bubble film stronger, and improves the stability of the bubbles. However, most amphoteric surfactants have a limited amount of use because they exhibit strong bitterness and unpleasant taste.

< preparation example > preparation of toothpaste
Examples 1 and 2 and comparative examples 1 to 4 were prepared according to the compositions shown in the following table 1, the units shown in the following table 1 being weight% of the respective ingredients based on the total weight of the composition.
TABLE 1
Figure BDA0001622142130000051
< test example 1> evaluation test of foaming ability
The foaming power of a toothpaste using a glutamate surfactant and an amidopropyl betaine surfactant was evaluated, 5g of each of the toothpaste compositions of examples 1 and 2 and comparative examples 1 to 4 in table 1 were weighed in a beaker, 45g of purified water was added to make 50g of the total amount, the mixture was put in a 250ml measuring cylinder, the opening of the cylinder was closed, and the foaming power was measured in a state of rotating at 180 degrees for 8 times, and the measurement was repeated 3 times. The measurement was carried out on a scale of 250ml, and the number corresponding to the height at which bubbles were formed from 0 was recorded in ml. The measurement results are shown in table 2 below.
TABLE 2
Example 1 Example 2 Comparative example 1 Comparative example 2 Comparative example 3 Comparative example 4
1 time of 186.1 193.6 180.6 177.5 182.5 180.9
2 times (one time) 185.8 192.2 178.9 178.8 183.6 179.6
3 times of 187.2 194.8 179.8 179.6 182.4 182.7
Average 186.4 193.5 179.8 178.6 182.8 181.1
From the results of table 2 above, it is understood that example 1 including sodium lauroyl glutamate as a glutamate-based surfactant and lauramidopropyl betaine as an amidopropyl betaine-based surfactant and example 2 further including arginine are more excellent in foaming ability than comparative examples 1, 2 containing only sodium lauroyl glutamate or lauramidopropyl betaine alone.
It is also known that the foaming ability of examples 1 and 2 is also more excellent than that of comparative example 3 using sodium lauryl sulfate and comparative example 4 containing sodium cocoyl glutamate and cocamidopropyl dimethyl glycine solution which are generally contained in products not using sodium lauryl sulfate.
Thus, it was found that the foaming ability was more excellent when the foaming agent contained sodium lauroyl glutamate and lauramidopropyl betaine together or arginine in addition thereto, as compared with comparative examples 1 to 4 in which the above-mentioned components were used alone or the conventional foaming agent generally used was contained.
< test example 2> evaluation test for irritation to oral mucosa
In order to evaluate the irritation to the oral mucosa when a glutamate-based surfactant and an amidopropyl betaine-based surfactant were used together, 20 subjects sensitive to mucosal irritation were used as test subjects, and 1g each of the toothpaste compositions of examples 1 and 2 and comparative examples 1 to 4 was applied to a toothbrush, and the irritation to the oral mucosa was evaluated for 3 minutes by brushing the teeth. Depending on the degree of stimulation, the oral mucosa was evaluated for irritation by an average of 20 persons, in which "no irritation was felt", "little irritation was felt", "2", "3", "strong irritation was felt" and "4". The evaluation results are shown in table 3 below.
TABLE 3
Figure BDA0001622142130000071
As can be seen from the results of table 3 above, the toothpaste prepared by comparative example 3 containing sodium lauryl sulfate showed greater irritation to the oral mucosa compared to examples 1 and 2 and comparative examples 1, 2 and 4, and examples 1 and 2 of the present invention showed less irritation to the oral mucosa compared to comparative examples 1 to 4 using sodium lauroyl glutamate or lauramidopropyl betaine alone or containing a conventional foaming agent generally used.
< test example 3> evaluation test of bitterness and unpleasant taste
In order to evaluate the feeling of use when a glutamate-based surfactant and an amidopropyl betaine-based surfactant were used together, 1g each of the toothpaste compositions of examples 1 and 2 and comparative examples 1 to 4 was applied to a toothbrush, and after brushing for 3 minutes, the bitterness and unpleasant taste were evaluated, with 20 flavor examiners as test subjects. The bitterness and unpleasant taste were evaluated by a standard 5-point method (5 points: very strong, 4 points: strong, 3 points: normal, 2 points: weak, 1 point: very weak) according to the degree of bitterness and unpleasant taste, respectively, and the bitterness and unpleasant taste were evaluated by an average value of 20. The evaluation results are shown in table 4 below.
TABLE 4
Figure BDA0001622142130000072
As can be seen from the results of table 4 above, the toothpaste compositions of examples 1, 2 of the invention of the present application had a much lower degree of bitterness and unpleasant taste than comparative examples 1-4, particularly comparative example 4 containing sodium cocoyl glutamate and cocamidopropyl dimethyl glycine solution.
As described above, the low-irritant oral composition of the present invention comprises a glutamate-based surfactant and an amidopropyl betaine-based surfactant, has excellent bubble generation ability, causes very little irritation to the oral mucosa, has reduced bitterness and unpleasant taste, and has excellent sensation upon use.
