Detailed Description
For simplicity and clarity of description, the invention will be described below by describing several representative embodiments. Not all embodiments are shown herein. In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the present invention. Some embodiments are not described in detail, but rather are merely provided as frameworks, in order to avoid unnecessarily obscuring aspects of the invention. Hereinafter, "including" means "including but not limited to", "according to … …" means "at least according to … …, but not limited to … … only". The word "comprising" in the description and in the claims is intended to include at least to some extent, and should be interpreted as including other features which may be present in addition to those mentioned later.
The application provides a media content processing method, and a system architecture applied by the method is shown in figure 1. The system architecture 100 includes: the system comprises a media content platform 101, a network 102 and a plurality of user equipment 103 a-103 n, wherein each user equipment 103 a-103 n can complete information interaction with the media content platform 101 through the network 102. The user devices 103a to 103n may respectively run the media content application clients 104a to 104n, and the users 105a to 105n may receive various media contents pushed by the media content platform 101 through the media content application clients 104a to 104n, where such users may be referred to as users who are readers or target users of the media contents. Such as: the user can receive the information or article pushed by the WeChat public number through the WeChat client, can receive various microblog information or articles pushed by the subscription number through the microblog client, and can receive various news information or articles through the news client (such as the first item in the present day, the fast news in the day and the like). In addition, a user who is a media content provider (also referred to as a user who is a publisher) may also publish original media content to the media content platform 101 through a media content application (e.g., 104n) running on its own user device (e.g., 103 n). Such as: a public number user may upload messages or articles through a wechat public number platform, from various media platforms provided by a media user through wechat, news, or video applications, and the like. When a media content provider uploads media content, two portions of content are uploaded: first media content and second media content. The first media content is a message or an article to be issued, and comprises a title, complete text content, a complete picture/animation/video set and the like; the second media content is representative content of the first media content, and may include a representative image and/or title, and may also include abstract text content, which is content that is displayed on the media content application client (for example, first screen display content of the first media content) and is linkable to the first media content, and when the user clicks the second media content displayed on the media content application client, the second media content is linked to the first media content, and then the first media content is opened and displayed, so that the user can browse the complete content of the first media content. Here, the second media content may include images such as pictures (also referred to as cover pictures), animation, and videos (e.g., small videos).
The user devices 103a to 103n may be portable terminal devices such as mobile phones, tablets, palmtop computers, and wearable devices, PCs such as desktop computers and notebook computers, and various smart devices having internet access capability and display interfaces such as smart televisions. The media content platform 101 may be any of various platforms that provide media content services, such as: a wechat public number platform, a microblog platform, a news application platform, a video application platform, and the like.
Fig. 2 is a user interface diagram of an application client displaying second media content according to an example of the present application. Fig. 2 shows a message push interface for the public number "phoenix technology" to which a user subscribes. Wherein the first screen shows a second media content 20 comprising: title 22, cover picture 21 and abstract 23. After the user sees the second media content 20, if the message is of interest, the user clicks on the second media content 20 and can open the first media content to which it is linked to read in depth the body content of the message.
Since the first screen shows the second media content as the representative content when the first media content is pushed to the user as the reader (referred to as the reader user for short), the user as the publisher (referred to as the publisher user for short) needs to carefully select the cover picture, the title, and the like to attract the attention of the reader user, and further guide the user to click the second media content to open the first media content.
In some examples, a publisher user has previously set at least one of an image, a title, and a summary text for a first media content on the media content platform 101 as a second media content. Then, the media content platform 101 pushes the second media content to the target user (or called target audience, TA) of the first media content, and when a user clicks the second media content displayed by the application client in the user equipment, the media content platform 101 sends the first media content to the user equipment of the user, so that the user equipment of the user can display the first media content. Since the setting of the second media content is fixed, before the media content is formally pushed, the publisher user and the media content platform 101 cannot determine the interest level of the reader user in the second media content, and if the interest level of the reader user in the second media content is not high, the access amount of the first media content is affected, for example: click rate, exposure.
In view of this problem, the present application provides some examples, a publisher user may set a plurality of second media contents for a certain first media content on the media content platform 101, where each media content may include at least one of an image, a title, and a summary text, and when pushing the media content, the publisher user may first determine the second media content that is interested by the publisher user according to an access record that actually occurs by the publisher user, and then push the second media content that is interested by the publisher user.
Fig. 3 shows a flow chart of a media content processing method provided by an example of the present application. This method may be applied to the media content platform 101. As shown in fig. 3, the process 300 includes the following steps:
step 301: setting K second media contents for the first media contents; wherein the second media content is presentation content in an application client that is linkable to the first media content. Wherein K is an integer greater than 1.
Here, when a publisher user publishes first media content to the media content platform through the application client, K second media contents may be selected, such as: multiple cover pictures or multiple titles are selected for an original article. The media content platform may store the first media content in association with the second media content.
In some examples, any of the second media content includes at least one of the following content representative of the first media content: images (pictures, animations or video), title text and abstract text.
In some examples, the K second media content includes all or part of the image (picture, animation, or video) in the first media content; wherein any two second media contents comprise different images. Such as: a published article of the public number contains ten pictures, and five cover pictures can be set for the article as the first screen display content, and the five cover pictures can be from the ten pictures in the article. For another example: an article published by the public number contains ten pictures, ten cover pictures serving as the first screen display content can be set for the article, and the ten cover pictures can be all ten pictures contained in the article.
In some examples, the image in the first media content may be filtered to remove images of low quality (such as pictures with low resolution), two-dimensional codes, emoticons, and the like, and the remaining image may be used as the image in the second media content.
Step 302: when the first media content is pushed, the following steps 303 to 305 are performed.
Step 303: and pushing K second media contents to the application client of the partial target user of the first media contents. Wherein a second media content is pushed to an application client of a target user.
Here, the media content platform may determine its target user through user targeting or subscription settings of the first media content, such as: the user who concerns about a certain public number is the target user of the message or article published by the public number, the user who concerns about a certain microblog account is the target user of the message or article published by the microblog account, the user who subscribes to certain media content of a certain media account is the target user of the media content, and the user who is directionally matched with the user of the media content such as news, advertisements, public service promotion messages and the like is the target user of the media content.
Step 304: and selecting the second media content with the highest user interest degree from the K second media contents according to the access records of the partial target users to the K second media contents.
Here, according to the access records of the user to the second media contents, such as: click rate, exposure, screen dwell time at the application client, etc., user interest of each second media content may be determined.
Step 305: pushing the selected second media content to application clients of other target users.
Here, when pushing the second media content to the application client, if the second media content contains an image, such as a picture, animation, or a small video, which can be a cover page, a link (e.g., URL) pointing to the image data may be sent to the application client, so that the application client can pull the image data for presentation through the link. The image data in the media content may be stored in each Content Delivery Network (CDN) server distributed in the network, the link refers to the image data stored in the CDN server, and the application client may quickly pull the image data from the CDN server.
In the above example, a plurality of first screen display contents (second media contents) may be set for one media content (first media content), and when the media content is released, the first screen display contents may be released to some users first (which may be referred to as trial release), so as to determine the first screen display content with the highest user interest according to the access records actually generated by the user, and then the first screen display content with the highest interest is released to the remaining users. Therefore, the first screen display content really interested by the user can be dynamically selected for releasing, and the releasing effect of the first media content can be improved.
In some examples, after step 301, further comprising: dividing target users of the first media content into N groups; wherein N is an integer greater than 1; k groups are selected from the N groups and K second media contents are assigned to the K groups, wherein each group corresponds to one second media content and different groups correspond to different second media contents. Here, K is less than N.
In the above example, step 303 specifically includes: respectively pushing K second media contents corresponding to the selected K groups of users to the application clients of the selected K groups of users; step 304 specifically includes: selecting the second media content with the highest user interest degree according to the access records of the K groups of users to the K second media contents; the other target users in step 305 include groups of users that have not been selected before in the N groups (e.g., the remaining N-K groups of users).
In some examples, the target users may be divided into N groups according to user orientations, wherein each group corresponds to one or a group of user orientations, and thus K second media contents may be allocated to K groups according to the respective corresponding user orientations of the K groups. Here, user targeting refers to a target user characteristic of a certain content or service, and may include: gender, location, age, user behavior characteristics, etc., each of the second media content may correspond to one or a set of user orientations. Such as: the grouping of target users may be age-oriented such that groups of users of different age groups may be assigned different second media content. Here, the user characteristics (or user dimensions) of each target user can be determined from user profile data maintained from an Internet Service Provider (ISP), and the user orientations corresponding to each target user can be determined, so that users can be grouped according to the user orientations. By adopting the scheme, the second media content which is relatively interested can be put in the user in a targeted manner when the second media content is put in advance, so that the second media content with the highest user interest degree determined subsequently is more in line with the actual situation, and the accuracy is higher.
In some examples, step 304 may further include: when the second media content with the highest user interest level cannot be selected, the following processing is executed:
1. and selecting part of target users from the target users which are not selected currently, and pushing K second media contents for the application client of the target users which are selected currently.
2. And selecting the second media content with the highest user interest degree according to the access records of the currently selected part of target users to the K second media contents.
Here, after trying to deliver each second media content to some target users for the first time, it may not be possible to determine the user interest difference of several second media contents, for example, the user interest scores of the second media contents are the same or have small difference, and thus, the second media content with the highest interest cannot be determined. In this case, a part of the target users may be selected from the remaining target users, and the second media contents with the highest user interest level may be determined by performing trial-and-error on the second media contents again. By adopting the scheme, the second media content with the highest user interest degree can be more accurately determined. When users are divided into N groups and K groups of users are selected for trial delivery, the scheme of the multiple trial delivery is specifically realized as follows:
when the second media content with the highest user interest level cannot be selected in step 304, the following processing is performed:
1) selecting K groups from the currently unselected groups, wherein the K groups currently selected are respectively allocated with K second media contents, wherein each group corresponds to one second media content and different groups correspond to different second media contents. Here, the process of allocating K second media contents to each group of users may be performed before step 302, and after dividing the users into N groups, the second media contents for trial delivery corresponding to each group may be allocated.
2) Respectively pushing K second media contents corresponding to the application clients of the currently selected K groups of users;
3) and selecting the second media content with the highest user interest according to the currently selected access records of the K groups of users to the K second media contents.
In some examples, the second media content includes images such as: pictures, animations or videos. The data for these images may be stored in Content Delivery Network (CDN) servers distributed across the network. When K second media contents are allocated to K groups of users, a link of an image in the second media content is allocated to any one group of the K groups. In step 303, when the K second media contents corresponding to the selected K groups of users are respectively pushed to the application clients of the selected K groups of users, for the application client of any group of users in the selected K groups, the link of the image allocated to the group is pushed to the application client, so that the application client pulls the data of the corresponding image from the CDN server through the link for presentation. When pushing the selected second media content to the application clients of the previously unselected groups of users in the N groups: and pushing the link of the image in the second media content with the highest user interest degree to the application client aiming at any application client of the unselected groups of users, so that the application client pulls the data of the image in the second media content with the highest user interest degree from the CDN server through the link for displaying.
In some examples, the second media content includes images such as: pictures, animations or videos. The data for these images may be stored in CDN servers distributed in the network. When K second media contents are allocated to K groups of users, a link of an image in the second media content is allocated to any one group of the K groups. And allocating preset image links to the groups which are not selected before in the N groups. When the second media content with the highest user interest level is selected, the data of the images in the CDN servers corresponding to all the allocated links may be further replaced with the data of the images in the second media content with the highest user interest level. In step 305, when pushing the selected second media content to the application clients of the groups of users not selected before in the N groups: and pushing a preset image link to any application client of the unselected groups of users, so that the application client pulls the data of the image in the second media content with the highest user interest from the CDN server through the link for displaying.
In some examples, as shown in fig. 4, the media content platform 101 includes an application server 111 and a statistics server 121, and the specific media content processing procedure 400 is as follows:
step 401: the publisher user uploads first media content (such as his original article of the public number) and K second media contents that are first screen presentable to the application server 111 via the application client 104 n. The application server 111 may be a WeChat Server, a microblog Server, a news Server, a video Server, etc.
Step 402: the application server 111 groups the target users of the media content into N groups.
Step 403: the application server 111 selects K groups of users from the N groups of users, allocates the K second media contents to the K groups of users, and binds the K groups of users and the K second media contents respectively. Wherein one group of users is assigned and bound to one second media content and a different group of users is assigned and bound to a different second media content.
Step 404: the application server 111 pushes K second media contents to K groups of users, that is, sends their respective corresponding second media contents to the application clients 104a and the like of K groups of target users. Here, if the second media content includes an image (e.g., a picture, an animation, a small video, etc.), a link of the image is sent to the application client, so that the application client pulls the image data from a device (e.g., a CDN server) for storing the image data in the network according to the link.
Step 405: the application server 111 sends a statistics request to the statistics server 121, where the statistics request carries information (such as content identifiers, indexes, and the like) of the K second media contents. The statistical server 121 may count user behavior characteristics occurring in the internet, acquire access records of the user for the K second media contents from the user database, and determine the second media content with the highest user interest according to the access records of the user. The statistics server 121 may return a statistics response carrying information of the second media content with the highest user interest level to the application server 111.
Here, when a user accesses (clicks or browses) a media content by using the application client 104a, the application client 104a reports user access data (such as information of the media content, click parameters, time of stay of the media content on the screen, etc.) to the media content platform 101, and a user database in the media content platform 101 may form and store a user access record according to the collected user access data.
In some examples, when the statistics server 121 cannot determine the second media content with the highest user interest, the returned statistics response may indicate that the second media content with the highest user interest cannot be determined, and at this time, the application server 111 may perform steps 404 to 406 again until the received statistics response indicates that the second media content with the highest user interest is determined.
Step 406: the application server 111, in response to the statistical response, pushes the determined second media content with the highest user interest level to the remaining N-K groups of users among the N groups of users, that is, sends the second media content with the highest user interest level to the application clients of the remaining N-K groups of target users.
In some examples, if the second media content of highest interest to the user includes an image (e.g., a picture, animation, small video, etc.), a link to the image is sent to the application client in step 406.
In some examples, in step 403, if the second media content contains an image, the link to the image may be bound to a corresponding set of users. Further, other groups of users that are not selected may be bound to a preset default link. That is, all users are bound to one image link. While step 406 is performed, the following steps may be performed:
step 407: the application server 111 sends a replacement request to the image replacement server 131 in the media content platform 101, the replacement request carrying information of the second media content with the highest interest level.
Step 408: in response to the replacement request, the image replacement server 131 replaces the image data in each CDN server pointed to by all the image links bound to the target users with the image data corresponding to the second media content with the highest interest level of the user. Such as: if the second media content is a cover picture, the cover pictures in each CDN server pointed to by all pre-bound picture links may be replaced with the cover picture that is determined to have the highest user interest level.
In these examples, in step 406, the application server 111 may send the default link to the application client directly according to the preset setting, without modifying the link field to fill in the image link corresponding to the second media content with the highest user interest. Because the image data pointed by all the related links are replaced by the image data with the highest user interest level, the application client can still acquire the image data with the highest user interest level through the received default links. Therefore, the processing efficiency of the application server 111 is improved, the image data with the highest user interest degree can be distributed in more CDN servers, the processing resources of the CDN servers in the network can be better utilized, and the system performance can be improved.
In the above steps 304 and 405, accessing the record may include: a click-through rate for the second media content and/or a dwell time of the second media content on the application client screen. The selecting the second media content with the highest user interest level may specifically include: and determining the user interest value of each second media content according to the click-through rate and/or the staying time, and selecting the second media content with the maximum user interest value as the second media content with the highest user interest degree.
In some examples, the user interest value may be determined according to the click rate and the dwell time, and then weights may be set for the click rate and the dwell time, and the click rate and the dwell time may be weighted and summed to obtain the user interest value; alternatively, the user interest value may be calculated by using a preset algorithm and using the click rate and the stay time as parameters.
In some examples, the images in the K second media content are denoted as p1, p2, … …, pk, respectively. The click rate of the user accessing these K images in the record is denoted ctr1, ctr2, … …, ctrk, and the dwell time of these K images is denoted t1, t2, … …, tk. Thus, two different dimensions of data are available for each image, T: [ T1, T2, T3., tk ] and C: [ ctr1, ctr2, ctr3., ctrk ].
If T numberAnd the image corresponding to the highest value of the group and the highest value of the C array is the same, for example, the j-th image is the image with the highest user interest level. If the image corresponding to the highest value of the T array and the highest value of the C array are different, a formula can be utilizedAnd calculating the user interest value of each image, sequencing the user interest values, and taking the image corresponding to the image with the maximum user interest value. Such as: click rate is 0.03 and dwell time is 4s, then according to the formulaThe calculated score is 3+ 2-5.
