Description

External traditional Chinese medicine formula essential oil for treating haemorrhoids
Technical Field
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to externally applied essential oil (also called as red peach blossom essential oil) in a traditional Chinese medicine formula for treating hemorrhoids.
Background
Hemorrhoids (Hemorrhoids or Piles), also known as Hemorrhoids, hemorrhoidal disease, hemorrhoid diseases, etc., are chronic diseases in which the venous plexus of the anorectal base and the anal mucosa is varicose to form one or more soft venous masses. The hemorrhoids are located in the mucous membrane inside the anus and called internal hemorrhoids, and located in the vicinity of the inside of the anus and called external hemorrhoids, both of which are called mixed hemorrhoids. Currently, British scholars are mostly called Piles and American scholars are called Hemorrhoids. The former is named from the appearance of the hemorrhoid like the ball, the latter is named from bleeding as the clinical feature, which refers broadly to internal and external hemorrhoids. The patients with light hemorrhoids have inconvenience for the normal life of people, and the serious patients have health influence. If the hematochezia lasts for a long time, anemia of different degrees and even hemorrhagic shock can be caused, so that the life is threatened; when the hemorrhoid is necrotic and the infection is serious, the infection can pass through the blood system to cause the systemic infection, and the consequence is serious.
The clinical manifestations are as follows:
1. it is mainly manifested as hemafecia, which is characterized by painless, intermittent, fresh blood after defecation, blood dripping or bloody hand paper in defecation, constipation, alcohol drinking or aggravated by eating irritant food.
2. Simple internal hemorrhoid has no pain, only has the feeling of falling and swelling, can bleed, develops to prolapse, and has pain when combined with thrombosis, incarceration and infection.
3. The internal hemorrhoids are divided into 4 degrees. Bleeding during defecation at degree I, the bleeding can be stopped automatically after defecation, and the hemorrhoid does not fall out of the anus; II, frequent stool blood; the excrement falls out of the anus during defecation, and is automatically returned after defecation; ③ after the III degree hemorrhoids are separated, the auxiliary reduction is carried out by hands; IV degree hemorrhoids are outside the anus for a long time and cannot be accommodated; wherein, the internal hemorrhoids above II degree mostly form mixed hemorrhoids, and the symptoms of the internal hemorrhoids and the external hemorrhoids exist simultaneously, so that the pain and the pruritus can appear, wherein the pruritus is usually caused by viscous secretion flowing out when the hemorrhoids are prolapsed. The latter three degrees are more than the mixed hemorrhoid.
4. External hemorrhoids usually have no special symptoms, and can cause swelling and pain when thrombosis and inflammation occur.
Although various medicaments for treating hemorrhoids exist at present, the use of the medicaments is not satisfactory for various reasons, so that the improvement and innovation of the medicaments for treating the hemorrhoids are imperative.

At 30min after the last dose, each group of rats was sacrificed, rectal tissue 15mm from the anal fur margin was cut and water was blotted with filter paper. Fixing part of tissues by 10% formaldehyde, embedding paraffin, slicing, HE staining, and performing pathological histological observation; part of the tissue is prepared into tissue homogenate, and the contents of MDA and SOD of the anus tissue of each group of rats are measured according to the instruction of a kit.

1. Standard of hemorrhoid
The traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis standard is as follows: refer to the Chinese medicine industry Standard of the people's republic of China "Standard of curative Effect for diagnosis of TCM disease symptoms" (ZY/T001.7-94).
(1) Symptoms are: intermittent hematochezia: is characterized by dripping blood and shooting blood when in defecation. Large amount, bright red color, blood not confused with feces. It can also be manifested as bloody toilet paper. And II, prolapse: the granular tumor can be withdrawn from the anus after defecation, can be automatically restored at the initial stage, can be restored after being held back by hands or laid in bed for rest at the later stage, and can be withdrawn when severe people squat, walk, cough or sneeze. ③ discomfort of anus: including anal pendant distention, foreign body sensation, itching or pain, which may be accompanied by mucus overflow.
(2) Physical signs: the mucosa skin at the same position above and below the tooth trace is raised and connected into a whole, and the anus is soft and is positioned at 3, 7 and 11 points.
The diagnosis can be established by including (2) above and (1) above.
Western diagnosis standards for hemorrhoids: refer to the "hemorrhoid clinical diagnosis and treatment guidelines" developed by the rectum and anus external science group of the surgical conference of the Chinese medical society, the anus and intestine conference of the Chinese medical society and the anus and intestine conference of the Chinese traditional and western medical society in 2006.
2. General data
62 patients are out-patient. 32 men and 30 women; age minimum 22 years, maximum 56 years; wherein, 8 cases of internal hemorrhoids, 42 cases of external hemorrhoids and 12 cases of mixed hemorrhoids; the shortest disease course is 1 month, and the longest disease course is 3 years; all patients were not willing to receive surgical treatment. The groups were randomly divided into 2 groups. Treatment groups 32, 16 men and 16 women; 4 cases of internal hemorrhoids, 22 cases of external hemorrhoids and 6 cases of mixed hemorrhoids. Control group 30, male 16, female 14; 4 cases of internal hemorrhoids, 20 cases of external hemorrhoids and 6 cases of mixed hemorrhoids. The two general data are compared and have comparability.
3. Methods of treatment and results
The treatment group is that the red peach blossom essential oil is externally applied for 3 times per day. The anus part is washed clean by clear water after defecation so as to avoid secretion pollution. The control group is topical hemorrhoid ointment of Moschus, 3 times daily. 10 days is 1 course of treatment. Neither use antibiotics.
The curative effect standard is as follows: the evaluation is carried out according to the standard of curative effect of anorectal diseases of traditional Chinese medicine in the traditional Chinese medicine industry Standard of the people's republic of China. The effect is shown: swelling and pain, hemorrhage, and disappearance of exudate, and retraction of hemorrhoid; improvement: swelling and pain, hemorrhage, and exudation disappear, and the retraction degree of hemorrhoid is not less than 2/3; and (4) invalidation: there are symptoms of swelling, bleeding, and exudation, and the retraction degree of hemorrhoid is less than 2/3.
32 cases of treatment groups are cured, 12 cases of treatment are effective, 7 cases of treatment are ineffective, and the total effective rate is 78.1%;
the control group has 30 cases, 10 cases are cured, 9 cases are effective, 11 cases are ineffective, and the total effective rate is 63.3%.
