Example four
On the basis of the first to third embodiments, the present application further provides an imaging system to achieve simple and reliable installation and electrical connection between the consumable and the imaging device. Fig. 8 is a schematic structural diagram of an imaging system according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 8, the imaging system provided in this embodiment includes the consumable 1 described in the first embodiment or the second embodiment and the imaging device 2 described in the third embodiment. Wherein the consumable 1 and the image forming apparatus 2 in the image forming system can be mounted and connected together, thereby completing the image forming job. In the imaging system, the imaging device 2 includes an electrical connection assembly 22, the electrical connection assembly 22 includes a protruding positioning column 221, a first contact pin 222a and a second contact pin 222b, the positioning column 221 is used for being connected to the consumable 1 in a matching manner, the first contact pin 222a is located on a side wall of the positioning column 221, the second contact pin 222b is located on a side of the positioning column 221, and the first contact pin 222a and the second contact pin 222b are both used for being electrically connected to a contact on the consumable 1.
Specifically, the consumable 1 and the imaging device 2 in the imaging system are detachably connected, so that the consumable can be replaced conveniently. When mounting the consumable 1 onto the image forming apparatus 2, contact connection between the electrical connection members between the consumable 1 and the image forming apparatus 2 is also required. The following describes a connection method and a connection process between an image forming apparatus and consumables, taking a specific image forming system as an example.
Specifically, a consumable housing portion that can house the consumable 1 is provided on the apparatus main body 21 of the image forming apparatus 2, and the consumable 1 is detachably mounted on the image forming apparatus 2. An electrical connection assembly 22 is also provided within the consumable housing. The electrical connection assembly 22 is electrically connected to the chip 12 provided on the consumable 1 and transmits a communication signal between the imaging apparatus 2 and the consumable 1. The electrical connection assembly 22 includes a protruding positioning column 221, a first contact pin 222a and a second contact pin 222b, the positioning column 221 is used for being connected to the consumable 1 in a matching manner, the first contact pin 222a is located on a side wall of the positioning column 221, the second contact pin 222b is located on a side of the positioning column 221, the first contact pin 222a and the second contact pin 222b are both used for being electrically connected to a contact on the consumable 1, the first matching surface 121 and the second matching surface 122 are outer surfaces of the chip 12, and when the positioning column 221 is inserted into the engagement structure 111 in a matching manner, the first matching surface 121 is adjacent to a side wall of the positioning column 221.
One end of the consumable 1 comprises a chip mounting part 11 and a chip 12 arranged on the chip mounting part 11, wherein the chip mounting part 11 is provided with an engaging structure 111 adjacent to the chip 12 and used for matching and inserting a positioning column 221 on the imaging device 2 and a chip accommodating groove 112 used for accommodating the chip. Taking the example where the engaging structure 111 is a circular groove, the engaging structure 111 is used to accommodate the positioning post 221 on the main body 21 of the imaging device 2, and the chip accommodating groove 112 is located on one side of the engaging structure 111 and is adjacent to the engaging structure 111.
The chip 12 has a first matching surface 121 parallel to the extending direction of the positioning post 221 and a second matching surface 122 perpendicular to the extending direction of the positioning post 221, the first matching surface 121 is provided with a first contact 1211, the second matching surface 122 is provided with a second contact 1221, and the first contact 1211 and the second contact 1221 are both used for matching connection with the contact pins of the imaging device 2.
Optionally, the first matching surface 121 and the second matching surface 122 are two outer walls of the chip 12, respectively, and the area of the first matching surface 121 is generally larger than that of the second matching surface 122, and electronic devices on the chip 12, such as a memory, a circuit, etc., can be disposed on the outer wall of the chip 12 parallel to the first matching surface 121.
When the chip 12 is mounted in the chip-receiving cavity 112 of the chip mounting portion 11, the second matching surface 122 is exposed outside the consumable 1, and the first matching surface 121 is disposed opposite to the engaging structure 111. When the consumable 1 is inserted into the imaging device 2, the positioning posts 211 are fully inserted into the engagement structures 111, and the first mating surfaces 121 on the chip 1 can complete the contact connection between the first contacts 1211 and the first contact pins 222a together with the positioning posts 211.
In order to ensure reliable contact between the contacts and the contact pins, the first contact pin 222a is in a free state, and is spaced from the center of the positioning post 211 by a distance greater than the distance between the first mating surface 121 and the center of the engagement structure 111. This is because the first mating surface 121 is closer to the center line of the positioning post 211 than the first contact pin 222 a. Therefore, when the first contact pins 222a are inserted into the engaging structures 111 along with the positioning posts 211, the first contact pins 222a are pressed by the first matching surfaces 121 to deform, so that the first contact pins 222a contact the first contacts 1211 in the engaging structures 111, thereby ensuring direct electrical contact and communication between the imaging device 2 and the chip 11.
Alternatively, when the positioning posts 211 are matingly inserted into the engagement structures 111, the positioning posts 211 are generally located outside the chip 12. When the consumable 1 is inserted into the imaging apparatus 2, the chip mounting portion 11 corresponds to the electrical connection assembly 22 of the imaging apparatus 2, and the axis of the positioning post 211 substantially coincides with the center line of the engagement structure 111. The positioning posts 211 are fully inserted into the engaging structures 111, the chip 12 is on one side of the engaging structures 111, and thus the positioning posts 211 are also on one side of the chip 12 without passing through the chip 12, so that the chip 12 has a simpler structure.
In this embodiment, the imaging system includes a consumable and an imaging device; the consumable comprises a chip mounting part and a chip arranged on the chip mounting part, wherein a meshing structure which is adjacent to the chip and used for matching and inserting a positioning column on imaging equipment is arranged on the chip mounting part, a first matching surface which is parallel to the extending direction of the positioning column and a second matching surface which is vertical to the extending direction of the positioning column are arranged on the chip, a first contact is arranged on the first matching surface, a second contact is arranged on the second matching surface, the first contact and the second contact are both used for matching and connecting with a contact pin on the imaging equipment, the first matching surface and the second matching surface are the outer surface of the chip, and when the positioning column is matched and inserted into the meshing structure, the first matching surface is adjacent to the side wall of the positioning column; imaging device is including equipment main part and the electrical connection subassembly of setting in equipment main part, including convex reference column, first contact pilotage and second contact pilotage on the electrical connection subassembly, and the reference column is used for the mating connection on the consumptive material, and first contact pilotage is located the lateral wall of reference column, and the second contact pilotage is located reference column side, and first contact pilotage and second contact pilotage all are used for and the contact electricity on the consumptive material is connected. Therefore, the contact on the chip can be connected with the contact pin on the imaging device without arranging a hole or a groove on the chip, the structural difficulty and the cost of the chip are reduced, and the stability of electric connection is enhanced.
Finally, it should be noted that: the above embodiments are only used to illustrate the technical solution of the present invention, and not to limit the same; while the invention has been described in detail and with reference to the foregoing embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that: the technical solutions described in the foregoing embodiments may still be modified, or some or all of the technical features may be equivalently replaced; and the modifications or the substitutions do not make the essence of the corresponding technical solutions depart from the scope of the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention.

Claims (13)

1. A consumable applied to an imaging device, the consumable comprising a chip mounting portion and a chip disposed on the chip mounting portion, it is characterized in that the chip mounting part is provided with a meshing structure which is adjacent to the chip and used for the matching and inserting of the positioning column on the imaging equipment, the chip is provided with a first matching surface parallel to the extending direction of the positioning column and a second matching surface vertical to the extending direction of the positioning column, the first matching surface is provided with a first contact, the second matching surface is provided with a second contact, the first contact and the second contact are each for mating connection with a contact pin of the imaging device, the first matching surface and the second matching surface are outer surfaces of the chip, and when the positioning column is inserted into the engagement structure in a matching mode, the first matching surface is adjacent to the side wall of the positioning column.
2. The consumable of claim 1, wherein the second mating face is disposed toward a side proximate to the imaging device.
3. The consumable according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the first and second mating surfaces is planar.
4. The consumable of claim 1, wherein the engagement structure comprises one of a mounting hole, a mounting groove, or a notch.
5. The consumable of claim 1, wherein the second contact extends to the first mating face.
6. The consumable according to claim 1, wherein the second mating face is provided with a recess, the second contact being located within the recess.
7. The consumable of claim 1, wherein the first mating face is provided with a boss on which the first contact is located.
8. The consumable according to claim 1, wherein the area of the first matching surface is larger than the area of the second matching surface.
9. The consumable according to claim 1, wherein the first contact is a ground contact.
10. The consumable according to claim 1, wherein the chip comprises an information storage portion located on the chip at a location other than the first matching surface and the second matching surface.
11. An imaging system comprising the consumable of any of claims 1-10, and an imaging device comprising an electrical connection assembly, wherein the electrical connection assembly comprises a protruding positioning post for mating connection to the consumable, a first contact pin located on a sidewall of the positioning post, and a second contact pin located to the side of the positioning post, the first contact pin and the second contact pin for electrical connection to different contacts on the consumable.
12. The imaging system of claim 11, wherein the first contact pin is spaced further from a center of the locating post than the first mating surface is spaced from a center of the engagement structure when the first contact pin is in the free state.
13. The imaging system of claim 11, wherein the locating posts are located outside of the chip when the locating posts are matingly inserted into the engagement structures.
