Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to functional food or health food, in particular to a composition for treating cough and application thereof.
Background
Cough is a protective respiratory reflex action of a human body for removing secretions or foreign matters in the respiratory tract, but severe long-term cough can cause respiratory tract bleeding, persistent severe cough can affect rest, physical strength is easy to be consumed, elastic tissues of alveolar walls can be damaged, and emphysema is induced. The traditional Chinese medicine considers that cough is caused by external six excesses and internal injury of internal organs, and has the syndrome of sound and phlegm caused by affecting the lung. The book Su Wen Bing Zhi Qi Yi Bao Ming Ji (Collection of Qi Yi Bao Ming Ji for Su Wen Bing) written: cough means no phlegm but sound, lung qi impairment but unclear; cough is silent with phlegm, and spleen is damp and moves with phlegm. Cough is a sound due to phlegm, which affects the lung qi and the spleen dampness, and also affects the lung due to exogenous pathogenic factors or internal injury of the viscera. Western medicine thinks that cough can be divided into acute and chronic types, and acute cough is mainly caused by virus, mycoplasma or bacterial infection, but chronic cough causes relatively complicated disease, and treatment cycle is long, easy to repeat, difficult to cure. In the prior art, western medicine takes effect quickly, but has large side effect and easy relapse of illness.
Therefore, it is highly desirable to provide a drug for treating cough, which has the advantages of obvious curative effect, quick response, difficult recurrence and no toxic or side effect.

This experimental example was used to compare the efficacy of examples 1-3 and comparative example 1 in treating cough.
1. Selecting a crowd:
selecting patients with cough of 25-70 years old, and 50 people of male and female.
2. Diagnostic criteria
Wind-heat affecting the lung: cough with coarse breath, sticky white or yellow sputum, pharyngalgia, hoarseness, fever, slight aversion to wind-cold, and slight thirst; red tongue tip, thin white or yellow coating, and superficial and rapid pulse;
dryness hurts the lung: dry cough with little sputum, uncomfortable expectoration, dry nasopharynx and dry mouth; red tongue tip, thin and yellow coating, little fluid, thready and rapid pulse;
phlegm-heat obstructing the lung: cough with thick breath, thick and yellow sputum, feverish dysphoria with smothery sensation and dry mouth; a red tongue with a yellow and greasy coating and a slippery and rapid pulse.
3. Experimental methods
Dividing 100 patients into 5 groups of 12 patients, respectively taking 5g of the composition granules of examples 1-3 in groups 1-3, and taking with 50ml of warm water twice a day after meals; group 4, taking medicine according to the Kekemin instruction, and taking the medicine as a comparison group; group 5 was no drug and was a blank control group; the administration period is 5 days.
4. Assessment of efficacy
And (3) curing: cough and sputum disappear or cough and sputum do not appear basically day and night.
The effect is shown: the cough frequency is obviously reduced, and the sputum volume is obviously reduced.
The method has the following advantages: a reduced number of coughs or a reduced amount of sputum.
And (4) invalidation: cough and sputum did not improve or aggravate.
5. The results are shown in Table 1
TABLE 1
As can be seen from the healing results in the table, the patients in the placebo group rarely treated cough by their own self-healing ability for a treatment period of 5%, and drug therapy is an effective treatment. The effect of treating cough of example 1 of the present invention was not inferior to that of the comparative example. The composition of the invention has the function of treating cough, and the patient taking the composition of the embodiment 1 does not have the adverse reactions of sleepiness, body fatigue and the like of the patient in the comparative example. The composition of the invention is safe and effective, has no side effect and has the advantages. The examples 2 and 3 also show better effect of treating cough, and the function is slightly worse than that in the example 1 due to the mixture ratio difference of the traditional Chinese medicine components. Thus, example 1 was determined to be the most preferred embodiment.
