背景技术
这种板片体在涉及保持有多个该板片体的中继电连接器的专利文献1中已经公开。
对于该专利文献1所公开的板片体而言,形成为金属带片状的多个信号端子和接地端子相互平行配置,除了一端侧和另一端侧以外,具有被埋设保持于绝缘材料的基材的埋设部、和在上述一端侧和另一端侧从基材突出的突出部,该突出部形成有通过与对象连接体接触而电连接的接触部。
为了实现与埋设部的阻抗的匹配,突出部构成为:端子宽度大于该埋设部的端子宽度,即,埋设部的端子宽度小于突出部的端子宽度。此外,为了避免端子宽度急剧变化,将埋设部与突出部间的边界区域形成为锥形部而使埋设部的端子宽度逐渐变化。

然而,在专利文献1的板片体中,虽在信号端子的埋设部将埋设部与突出部间的边界区域形成为锥状而使埋设部的端子宽度逐渐变化,但保持该信号端子的基材从保持埋设部的部分开始急剧消失,因此这种绝缘材料处的保持状况的急剧变化使埋设部与突出部之间的阻抗匹配变得不足。除了这种电特性上的问题之外,还存在信号端子在突出部附近的保持强度不足的问题。为了解决这种保持强度的问题来确保保持强度,需要增大埋设部的端子宽度,但这样一来,会产生无法获得阻抗匹配的问题。
发明内容
鉴于这种情况,本发明的课题在于提供一种板片体,能够改善信号端子的埋设部与突出部之间的阻抗的匹配,并且能够改善突出部的根部处的强度。
对于本发明的板片体而言,呈金属带片状的多个信号端子相互平行配置,并具有被埋设保持于绝缘材料的基材的埋设部、和在上述一端侧从基材突出的突出部,该突出部形成有通过接触或焊接与对象连接体电连接的连接部。
在本发明中,上述板片体的特征在于:基材具有在整周上覆盖信号端子的周面而保持该信号端子的主体保持部、和暴露该信号端子的周面的局部且覆盖并保持剩余部分的半暴露保持部,信号端子的突出部在上述一端侧的位置从该半暴露保持部相对于上述主体保持部突出,上述半暴露保持部的至少局部形成为比主体保持部薄,埋设部形成为至少与上述主体保持部相对应的该埋设部的部分的端子宽度小于突出部的端子宽度。
根据这样构成的本发明,信号端子在与突出部邻接的区域由暴露周面的局部并利用绝缘材料覆盖其他部分的半暴露保持部保持,因此确保信号端子的保持强度,并且作为在被完全埋设于绝缘材料的埋设部与未由绝缘材料保持的突出部的部分之间借助中间绝缘材料进行保持的部分而形成半暴露保持部,因此避免绝缘材料相对于端子的存在状况的急剧变化而使绝缘材料相对于端子的存在状况逐渐变化,由此改善阻抗匹配。
在本发明中,信号端子能够借助半暴露保持部暴露形成信号端子的周面的四个表面中的一个表面并利用绝缘材料覆盖剩余的三个表面。由此,在实现半暴露保持部的情况下,能够以仅暴露一个表面的方式形成信号端子,因此模塑成型变得容易。另外,在半暴露保持部比基材薄的部分,即便与对象连接体接触时承受接触压力,也如上述那样不仅维持保持强度而且弹性挠曲变得比基材容易。
在本发明中,优选信号端子借助半暴露保持部使端子宽度朝向主体保持部而逐渐变小。这样,若在半暴露保持部的区域使端子宽度逐渐变小,则端子宽度逐渐变化,而不会急剧变化,因此改善阻抗匹配。
在本发明中,优选基材不仅与信号端子平行地埋设保持接地端子,而且还保持覆盖信号端子相对于该基材的表面所存在的区域的屏蔽板,该半暴露保持部形成有使接地端子的相对于暴露面而言的相反面局部暴露的窗部,屏蔽板位于该相反面侧,该屏蔽板的一部分具有弹性片,该弹性片在上述窗部内与上述接地端子接触。由此,由于具有接地端子、屏蔽板,从而能够与传输高速信号相对应,在该情况下,弹性片与接地端子导通,由此能够以简单的构造进行接地。另外,接地端子也可以与信号端子同样由半暴露保持部保持。此外,若使屏蔽板抵接于半暴露保持部,则加强该半暴露保持部。
在本发明中,优选屏蔽板的一部分被埋设保持于基材。

对于本发明而言,如以上那样,信号端子与从基材突出的突出部邻接,在该基材形成有半暴露保持部,借助该半暴露保持部使端子宽度与基材的主体保持部中的端子宽度相比宽度大,并且由于设置有使利用绝缘材料覆盖周面的程度处于在整周覆盖的主体保持部的状态与从基材突出而完全暴露的状态的中间状态的半暴露保持部,所以不会使被绝缘材料覆盖的影响急剧变化,由此改善埋设部与突出部之间的阻抗匹配。并且,即便在半暴露保持部比主体保持部薄的部分,利用半暴露保持部保持了信号端子的状态下,也具有挠性,由此与对象连接体连接时的弹性变形会更加充分。

本实施方式的板片体被组装于将电路基板等的连接部件彼此电连接的中继连接体。也有时并列设置多个该中继连接体来形成一个中继连接器。

上述板片体20整体如图2、图3所示。图2是从一个表面观察该板片体20的图,图3是从另一个表面观察的图。板片体20利用由平板状的绝缘材料构成的基材21对带状且细长的多个端子40、和由第一屏蔽板51和第二屏蔽板52构成的屏蔽板50进行保持。多个端子40由信号端子40S和接地端子40G构成,关于连接部而言,信号端子40S和接地端子40G形成为同一形状。在本实施方式中,端子按照40G、40S、40S、40G、40S、40S、40G…的顺序进行排列。位于接地端子40G彼此间的两个信号端子40S形成为适于传输高速信号的成对端子,并被上述接地端子40G夹住而被屏蔽。上述端子40的用于与对象连接体连接的连接部形成于该端子的从基材21的上下端突出的突出部41S,上述端子40在上下端的突出部彼此间的范围内形成被埋设于基材21的埋设部。
相对于信号端子40S而言,基材21具有主体保持部21A和半暴露保持部21B,该主体保持部21A在端子长边方向上遍及大范围埋设保持在整周上被覆盖了端子四周的埋设部,该半暴露保持部21B与该主体保持部21A的端部邻接设置并暴露端子的四周的局部而且覆盖剩余部分。即,信号端子40S的突出部41S从上述半暴露保持部21B突出,在该突出部41S的前端部形成有通过接触或焊接与对象连接体电连接的连接部42S。之后对上述信号端子40S的突出部41S和基材21的半暴露保持部21B进行详述。
上述基材21利用其主体保持部21A保持信号端子40S,但相对于接地端子40G而言,在端子长边方向上在与上述主体保持部21A相对应的范围内且在多个位置,从基材21的表面突出的较小的短柱部贯通并支承于接地端子40G的小孔部。即,接地端子40G不由基材21埋设保持,而由上述短柱部支承。该接地端子40G在除了主体保持部21A以外的方面与信号端子40S相同,在从半暴露保持部21B突出的突出部41G的前端部具有连接部42G。
这样,对于由基材21保持的信号端子40S和接地端子40G而言,信号端子40S的连接部42S和接地端子40G的连接部42G被制造成同一形状且同一尺寸,但在信号端子40S的连接部42S与由基材21的主体保持部21A保持的信号端子40G的埋设部之间,形状尺寸存在差异。即,信号端子40S的埋设部的宽度小于连接部42S的宽度,接地端子40G的埋设部的宽度大于连接部42G的宽度。也就是说,由于信号端子40S的连接部42S和接地端子40G的连接部42G为同一形状且同一尺寸,所以信号端子40S的埋设部的宽度小于接地端子40G的连接部42G的宽度。
在上述基材21的两表面侧安装有屏蔽板50,以适于传输高速信号。如图2所示,在基材21的一个表面安装有第一屏蔽板51,而且如图3所示,在另一个表面安装有第二屏蔽板52。
第一屏蔽板51形成为波形,在图2中,该第一屏蔽板51交替具有平板部51S和槽板部51G并形成为连续的一个部件,其中,该平板部51S在与在端子排列方向上邻接的两个信号端子40S相对应的范围内从基材21的表面分离而在该平板部51S与基材21的表面之间形成间隙,该槽板部51G在与该平板部51S彼此间的接地端子40G相对应的范围内相比上述平板部51S的表面更加凹下。槽板部51G通过相比平板部51S更加凹下而与接地端子40G接触,贯通形成于该接地端子40G的小孔部的已叙述的短柱部也贯通上述槽板部51G的对应小孔部,该短柱部的突出头部被加热压变为铆钉状而形成卡止突起部21C,由此将上述第一屏蔽板51保持于基材21。
如图3所示,第二屏蔽板52也具有与第一屏蔽板51的平板部51S和槽板部51G分别形状相同的平板部52S和槽板部52G。因此,在具有该平板部52S和该槽板部52G方面,第二接地板52与第一屏蔽板51完全相同。但是,第二屏蔽板52除了上述平板部52S和上述槽板部52G以外,在上下端以上下对称的方式具有同一形状的端板部52T,并依靠平板部52S、槽板部52G以及端板部52T形成为一个部件。
如图5的(B)所示,上述第二屏蔽板52具有端板部52T。该端板部52T沿端子排列方向延伸形成于上述第二屏蔽板52的端子长边方向两端位置。该端板部52T非接触地覆盖对所排列的多个信号端子40S和多个接地端子40G进行保持的一连串的半暴露保持部21B。
对于上述端板部52T而言,在端子排列方向上,在接地端子40G的位置形成窗部52T-1,如图5的(B)所示,在该窗部52T-1内设置有弹性片52T-1A,该弹性片52T-1A朝向接地端子40G的突出部41G弯曲形成并与该接地端子40G的暴露部分弹性接触,并且,在端子排列方向上,在邻接的两个信号端子40S的范围内形成窗部52T-2,并设置有从该窗部52T-2沿端子长边方向翘起的矛形片52T-2A。在将板片体20组装于壳体10之后,该矛形片52T-2A卡止于壳体10的对应位置而防止板片体20脱落。
这样,利用基材21对多个端子40(信号端子40S和接地端子40G)进行保持,在该基材21的两表面安装有屏蔽板50(第一屏蔽板51和第二屏蔽板52)的成对两个板片体20以形成为相互对称的方式相对并平行配置并被保持于壳体10内(参照图4的(A)、图4的(B))。
接下来,对信号端子40S的突出部41S、基材21的半暴露保持部21B及其周边进行说明。图5是从上述基材一个表面进行观察的图,图5的(B)是从上述基材另一个表面进行观察的图,图6的(A)是图5的(A)的俯视图,图6的(B)是图6的(A)中的B-B剖视图,图6的(C)是信号端子在与对象端子接触的接触状态下挠曲时且与图6的(B)相当的图,图6的(D)是图6的(B)中的D-D剖视图。在图中,也存在通过对于已叙述的部位标注其符号而省略了其说明的部分。
在图中,信号端子40S由基材21(主体保持部21A和半暴露保持部21B)保持。半暴露保持部21B形成为比主体保持部21A薄,并且相对于信号端子40S而言在周向上仅使信号端子40S的一个表面即图5的(A)中的上表面暴露并覆盖信号端子40S的剩余的三个表面(在图5的(A)中为信号端子40S的下表面和两侧端面)。如图6的(B)所示,上述半暴露保持部21B在信号端子40S的下表面侧朝向端子前端侧以锥状形成为薄壁。对于信号端子40S而言,在端子长边方向上在上述半暴露保持部21B的范围内,端子宽度从突出部41S朝向由上述主体保持部21A保持的部分逐渐变小(也参照图6的(A)),由此获得埋设部与突出部41S之间的阻抗匹配。突出部41S朝向前端(自由端)阶段性地减小端子宽度,在前端附近形成有沿板厚方向弯曲的凸状部分,该凸状部分形成为与对象端子接触的连接部42S(参照图6的(B))。如图6的(B)所示,半暴露保持部21B除了比主体保持部21A壁薄之外,还朝向端子前端侧以锥状形成为薄壁,因此即便信号端子40S的突出部41S与对象连接体抵接,并挠曲至图6的(C)的单点划线的位置,上述半暴露保持部21B也会保持强度并追随上述突出部21S的挠曲。并且,半暴露保持部21B与第二屏蔽板52抵接,因此借助该第二屏蔽板52提高强度。此外,在屏蔽板50设置弹簧部并使该弹簧部依靠接触压力接触于基材21的表面,由此能够提高基材21的强度。
与上述信号端子40S的突出部41S和上述基材21的半暴露保持部21B的形态完全相同的形态也被采用于接地端子40G中,接地端子40G在突出部41G具有与信号端子40S的连接部42S相同的连接部42G,并且接地端子40G由半暴露保持部21B保持。
在本发明中,半暴露保持部21B覆盖了端子底面侧,但为了确保由该半暴露保持部21B保持的端子的强度而欲使半暴露保持部21B大于埋设部处的端子宽度的情况下,为了与之相对应地实现阻抗匹配的目的,也可以如图6的(E)那样,在上述半暴露保持部21B的端子底面侧形成较细(在图6的(E)中在与纸面成直角的方向上较细)的狭缝孔21B-1。

Claims (6)

1.一种板片体,其构成为:呈金属带片状的多个信号端子相互平行配置,并具有埋设保持于绝缘材料的基材的埋设部、和在一端侧从基材突出的突出部,该突出部形成有通过与对象连接体接触或焊接而与该对象连接体电连接的连接部,
所述板片体的特征在于,
基材具有在整周上覆盖信号端子的周面并保持该信号端子的主体保持部、和暴露该信号端子的周面的局部而覆盖并保持该信号端子的周面的剩余部分的半暴露保持部,信号端子的突出部在所述一端侧的位置从该半暴露保持部相对于所述主体保持部突出,
所述半暴露保持部的至少局部形成为比主体保持部薄,
埋设部形成为:该埋设部的至少与所述主体保持部相对应的部分的端子宽度小于突出部的端子宽度
在所述突出部从所述对象连接体承受接触压力时,该突出部与所述半暴露保持部能够弹性挠曲。
2.根据权利要求1所述的板片体,其中,
信号端子在半暴露保持部暴露形成信号端子的周面的四个表面中的一个表面并利用绝缘材料覆盖剩余的三个表面。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的板片体,其中,
信号端子在半暴露保持部端子宽度随着趋向主体保持部而逐渐变小。
4.根据权利要求1或2所述的板片体,其中,
基材将接地端子埋设保持为与信号端子平行,而且还保持对于该基材的表面覆盖信号端子所存在的区域的屏蔽板,该半暴露保持部形成有使接地端子的相对于暴露面而言的相反面局部暴露的窗部,屏蔽板位于该相反面侧,该屏蔽板的一部分具有弹性片,该弹性片在所述窗部内与所述接地端子接触。
5.根据权利要求1或2所述的板片体,其中,
基材将接地端子埋设保持为与信号端子平行,并且还保持对于该基材的表面覆盖信号端子所存在的区域的屏蔽板,接地端子与信号端子均由半暴露保持部保持,该半暴露保持部形成有使接地端子的相对于暴露面而言的相反面局部暴露的窗部,屏蔽板位于该相反面侧,该屏蔽板的一部分具有弹性片,该弹性片在所述窗部内与所述接地端子接触。
6.根据权利要求5所述的板片体,其中,
屏蔽板的一部分被埋设保持于基材。
