Abstract

本发明认识到电视机为广泛使用的电视网提供 预编程标记是理想的。用户只要从目录中选择适当 的频道,然后选择相应的预编程标记,就使频道与标 记联系起来。在一实施例中,预编程标记是一图形状 的边印或是电视网的服务标志。

Description

本发明涉及具有频道标记功能的电视接收机。
许多新型的电视接收机都具有频道标记性能,要求用户为每一个频道送入一个合适的标记。它可以通过连续显示字母选出专用的字母,也可以借助于在遥控装置上的字母键盘上送入字母的办法来实现。这种频道标记特性是从例如美国印弟安那、印弟安那波利斯汤姆森消费者电子有限公司制造的RCA    CTC-140底盘的电视机上了解到的。
遗憾的是,此过程要花费很多的时间,并且用户还要有耐心,新型电缆电视机可以传送多达125个频道。
本发明认识到,电视机为广泛使用的电视网提供予编程标记是最理想的。用户只要从目录上选择一个适当的频道,然后再选择一个相应的予编程标记,就可以把频道与标记联系起来。在一实施例中,予编程标记是图形状的边印或是电视网的服务标志。
图1是适于实现本发明的电视机部分的框图。
图2a-2c是依据本发明产生的屏幕显示的示意图。
图3a和3b是显示在屏幕上的频道标记的图示。
参照图1,电视机包括一射频(RF)输入端100,从此输入端接收射频(RF)信号并把这些信号加至调谐组件102。调谐组件102在调谐控制器104的控制下选择并放大特定的射频信号;调谐控制器经过导线103供给调谐组件102调谐电压,通过用粗双端箭头表示的信号线103′送给调谐装置102频带切换信号。
调谐组件102把接收的射频(RF)信号变成中频(IF)信号,并且把中频(IF)输出信号送到视频(VIF)和音频(SIF)放大及检波单元130。放大及检波单元130放大加到其输入端的中频(IF)信号并且检出在那儿所含有的视频及音频信号。已检波的视频信息被加至视频处理器单元155的一个输入端。视频处理器单元155的其他输入端接至屏上显示及图形处理器电路140。已检波的音频信号被送入话筒装置136之前先送到音频处理器135进行处理及放大。
根据系统控制微计算机(μC)110所施加的控制信号,调谐控制器104产生调谐电压及频带切换信号。名词“微计算机”“控制器”及“微处理机”在这里用是等效的。微计算机110从红外(IR)接收器122和从装在电视机自身的“本机”键盘120上接收用户触发的命令。红外(IR)接收器122接收遥控发射机125的红外(IR)发射。微计算机110包括中央处理单元(CPU)112,只读存贮器(ROM)114,及存有与通道有关数据的随机存取存储器(RAM)116。随机存取存储器116既可内连也可外联微计算机110,既可以是易失型存储器也可以是非易失型存储器。名词“RAM”还意于包括电可擦除可编程只读存储器(EEPROM)117。精通此技术者将会发现,如果用易失型存储器,当接收机“关”掉时,用一个合适的备用电源保持其内容也许是能满足需要的。
微计算机110靠备用电源145供电运行,它经一控制线151控制操作电源150以便有选择性地将电力供给电视机的其余部分。微计算机110还含有一计时器118。微计算机(或控制器)110根据用户从本机键盘120或从红外接收器122送入的控制信号产生一控制信号使调谐控制器单元104控制调谐器102选择特定的射频(RF)信号。
调谐器102产生一中频(IF)信号并把此信号送至处理单元130,此处理单元130含有中视频(VIF)放大级,自动频率调谐(AFT)电路、视频检测器及伴音中频(SIF)放大级。处理单元130产生第一基带复合视频信号(TV)和伴音载波信号。伴音载波信号被送至音频信号处理器单元135,此处理器单元中含有一音频检波器并且可能含有一立体声检波器。音频信号处理器单元生成第一基带音频信号并把它加至扬声器单元136。第二基带复合视频信号及第二基带音频信号从外部分别由视频入VIDEO    IN及音频入AUDIO    IN加入到视频信号处理器及音频信号处理器。
把第一及第二基带视频信号(TV)耦合至视频处理器单元155(在处理器中有一选择电路未表示出来)。在控制器110的控制下,屏上显示(OSD)处理器140上产生一字符信号和图形信号,并把这些信号送至视频信号处理器155的第二输入端,因为他们包括在已处理的视频信号中。电可擦除可编程只读存储器(EEPROM)117与控制器110相联,并且作为一非易失型存储器用来存储自动编程的频道数据及用户送入的频道数据。
在视频信号处理器单元155的输出端,已处理的视频信号被送至显像管驱动放大器156放大,然后再送到彩色显像管组件158的电子枪显示。在视频信号处理器单元155的输出端,处理过的视频信号还被送到同步分离器单元160上用于分离出水平及垂直驱动信号,随后再加到偏转单元170上。从偏转单元170上输出的信号加到显像管组件158的偏转线圈上以控制其电子束的偏转。迄今所说的电视机除屏上显示(OSD)及图形处理器(GRAPHICSPROCESSOR)140外人所共知,例如:从美国印弟安那、印弟安那波利斯汤姆森消费者电子股份有限公司制造的RCA    CTC-140底座的彩色电视机很容易了解。
现请参照图1的剩余部分、图2a-2c的菜单显示和图3a及3b的屏幕显示阐述本发明。
图2a示出的是用户要送入的频道11的标记所讨论的菜单屏幕。用户利用遥控单元125的正(+)和负(-)键在菜单上下移动,突出醒目标记(LABEL)行;并且按下选择(SELECT)键选择标定行来改变标记。然后用户再按正(+)和负(-)键一步步通过标记予编程目录。图2b显示的是予编程标记NBC。如果用户想送入予编程标记NBC,他就简单地按下遥控单元125的选择(SELECT)键。反之,用户找不到合适的予编程标记,他就要一步步通过目录,一直到他找到标记“你送入”(YOU    ENTER)为止,一选择“YOU    ENTER”标记,用户就可以按正(+)、负(-)及遥控单元125的选择(SELECT)键来送入他自己的标记,一直到他拼出理想的标记为止。为了进一步说明之,图2c显示了用户送入标记(USER′S    LABEL);图3b表示在电视机300b的屏幕310b上显示的用户送入的标记。
图1的屏上显示及图形处理单元140具有产生高分辨率图形的能力,在控制器110的控制下于显像管组件158的屏幕上显示高分辨率图形。经数字控制总线131,控制器110与屏上显示及图形处理单元140通讯,屏上显示及图形处理单元140的能力之一就是能够在屏幕上产生图形边印或各种尺寸的服务标记。图3a示出电视机300a的屏幕310a,屏上右上角显示一个用边印表示NBC电视网的视频图像。这个边印是由屏上显示及图形处理器单元140产生并存在只读存储器(ROM)内的。把图形边印与电视通道联系起来的程序与上面给出的选择文本标记的过程一样。即:用户一步步通过予编程文本标记的目录,一直到他找到合适的那一个为止,例如NBC。一旦选择了NBC,假如对应的文本标记存在存储器中,控制器110就使屏上显示及图形处理单元140代替予编程的图形边印。
本发明建成及试验过的方案有108个予制标记和19个用户送入标记的存储空间。

Claims (4)

1、一种电视接收机,包括有:
根据用户的操作送入数据的装置(120、125);其特征在于:
存储相当于予制标记数据的存储装置(116、117);
耦合到所述的存储装置(116、117)的控制装置(110),以便从所述的存储装置(116、117)读取所述的数据;以及
接至所述的控制装置(110)的屏上显示及图形发生器装置(140),以产生用于显示的文本字符及图形信号,所述的文本符号及图形信号与所述的存储数据相对应;
其中根据用户输入的数据,所说的控制装置(110)把所述的存储标记数据与电视频道数据联系起来。
2、依据权利要求1的装置,其特征在于:所述的予制标记是网络边印或服务标志。
3、依据权利要求1的装置,其特征在于:所述的予制标记包括文本符号。
4、依据权利要求1的装置,其特征在于:与标记有关的数据是用户送入的。
