The invention relates to a power cable insulation test sleeve and a use method thereof, wherein the power cable insulation test sleeve comprises an insulation sleeve, a fastening bolt and a cushion block, wherein the cushion block is arranged in the insulation sleeve, the fastening bolt is in threaded connection with the insulation sleeve, the bottom of the cushion block is matched with the inner wall of the insulation sleeve, and the top of the cushion block is provided with a groove matched with the outer wall of a cable for accommodating the cable; the fastening bolt comprises a handle, a limiting raised head and a screw rod, one end of the screw rod is fixedly connected with the limiting raised head, the other end of the screw rod is fixedly connected with the handle, the screw rod is in threaded connection with an insulating sleeve, and the limiting raised head corresponds to a groove of the cushion block and is used for fixing a cable. The advantages are that: the power cable insulation test sleeve can effectively shield stray current by applying the principle of 'interelectrode barrier' under the condition of insufficient insulation distance, increase insulation strength of cable interphase, opposite ground and lead connection, reduce influence of stray current on test results during test, and ensure accuracy of cable test data.

The upper part of the limiting raised head is matched with the inner wall of the insulating sleeve.

Referring to fig. 1, the method for using the power cable insulation test sleeve comprises the steps of screwing the fixing bolt 3, enabling the limiting protruding head 7 to be arranged on the top of the inner wall of the insulation sleeve 2, sleeving the insulation sleeve 2 on the joint of the tested cable 1, screwing the fixing bolt 3, enabling the limiting protruding head 7 to abut against the cable 1, and fixing the cable 1 through the limiting protruding head 7 and the groove 8 of the cushion block 4.
The invention can effectively shield stray current by applying the principle of 'interelectrode barrier' under the condition of insufficient insulation distance, increase the insulation strength of the cable 1 at the interphase, opposite and lead connection positions, reduce the influence of stray current on test results in test and ensure the personal safety of the site and the accuracy of the test conclusion of the cable 1. The cable 1 is clamped and fixed by the fastening bolt 3 and the cushion block 4, so that the test sleeve is fixed on the outer wall of the cable 1, and the insulativity of the cable 1 is ensured.
