Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of paper money thickness detection, in particular to a method and a device for detecting that paper money is out of range in the detection range of a thickness sensor.
Background
In a self-service teller machine and a paper currency sorter, thickness detection of paper currency is a necessary function, and adhesive tapes, folding angles and the like adhered to the paper currency can be identified through the thickness characteristics of the paper currency, so that unqualified paper currency is removed. Since the tape may be stuck anywhere on the banknote, the thickness measurement must be able to cover the entire banknote.
Because the width of the paper money passing channel of the paper money is larger than the detection width of the thickness sensor, the paper money can deviate after entering the paper money passing channel. In the thickness algorithm, a machine needs to process thickness data acquired by a thickness sensor, and the prior art cannot judge whether paper money is completely in the detection range of the thickness sensor before processing, so that relevant operation can be performed on all the thickness data, and if the paper money is out of range, the operation is abnormal, so that time waste can be caused. Therefore, it is necessary to determine whether or not the banknote is out of bounds before performing the correlation calculation of the thickness data.

Example one
The embodiment provides a method for detecting the border crossing of paper money in the detection range of a thickness sensor, which is suitable for border crossing abnormity examination before the thickness of the paper money is detected by various self-service teller machines, paper money sorting machines and the like. The method is generally carried out by a device for detecting the crossing of a banknote over the detection range of a thickness sensor, implemented in software and/or hardware, generally integrated in various types of banknote checking apparatuses.
FIG. 1 is a flowchart of a method for detecting a paper currency crossing a boundary of a detection range of a thickness sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method comprises the steps of:
and S11, judging whether the four corner points of the paper money in the paper money passing channel are completely in the detection range of the thickness sensor, if so, normally performing thickness detection, and if not, executing the step S12.
Acquiring an image of paper money in the paper money passing channel in a mode including but not limited to image scanning, infrared light transmission and the like; identifying the acquired image, and determining the positions of four corner points of the paper money in the modes of image identification and the like, wherein the four corner points are the vertexes of four corners of the paper money; and judging whether the four corner points are completely in the detection range of the thickness sensor.
And S12, acquiring the position of the thickness data in the detection range of the thickness sensor.
The detection range of the thickness sensor is determined by the effective detection range of the thickness sensor in the currency detection equipment. The thickness sensor acquires the thickness data of the paper money in the paper money conveying channel and feeds back the position where the thickness data appears.

And acquiring a detection channel for the thickness data as the position where the thickness data appears, namely the position where the paper money appears.
For example, the detection range of the thickness sensor is averagely divided into 10 detection channels, the first channel is the channel No. 1 channel close to the left boundary of the detection range, the second channel is the channel No. 10 channel close to the right boundary of the detection range, the third channel is the channel No. 2 to 9, and which detection channels for detecting the thickness data are respectively determined as the positions where the thickness data appear.
And S13, judging the position of the paper money out of range on the detection range of the thickness sensor according to the position of the thickness data.
When the number of the detection channels with the thickness data is less than the number of the channels which are occupied by the width of the paper money, if the thickness data appears in the first channel, the paper money is out of bounds at the first boundary of the detection range, and if the thickness data appears in the second channel, the paper money is out of bounds at the second boundary of the detection range.
For example, if the number of channels to be occupied by the width of a 100-yuan RMB is 8, if the channels with thickness data are channels 1 to 7, that is, the number of detection channels with thickness data is less than 8, it indicates that the banknote is out of bounds on the detection range of the thickness sensor, and at this time, the channel 1 has thickness data, it can be determined that the banknote is out of bounds on the left boundary of the detection range, that is, the banknote is out of the left boundary of the detection range.
And determining that the paper money is out of range on the detection range of the thickness sensor, and determining the out-of-range position, so that subsequent calculation of a thickness detection related algorithm is not required, or corresponding calculation adjustment is made according to the out-of-range result.
And S14, normally performing thickness detection.
And if it is determined through image recognition that the four corner points of the paper money in the paper money passing channel are completely in the detection range of the thickness sensor, performing subsequent thickness detection calculation.
According to the embodiment, the out-of-range condition of the paper money on the detection range of the thickness sensor can be judged before the calculation of the thickness detection related algorithm of the paper money is carried out, and the waste of time caused by the calculation of abnormal data is avoided. The position of the boundary crossing can be accurately judged, the debugging is convenient, and the recognition rate of the thickness detection related algorithm is improved.
