本发明涉及一种平缝机的面线切线机构及平缝机。平缝机的面线切线机构，包括压脚组件、定刀、动刀和压簧片，压脚组件包括设置在机头下部的压脚板，压脚板位于针板上，定刀固定设置在压脚板，所述定刀的刀刃朝前，动刀活动地设置在定刀上且与一驱动机构连接，驱动机构能够驱动动刀在定刀上前后来回滑动，压簧片与压脚板固定连接且抵压在动刀上，动刀上开设有钩槽。本发明使得平缝机在进行下道缝纫工序时，起缝不会将缝线线头带入缝料底部，同时被夹住的缝线线头靠近针眼位置，使得缝线线头至针眼的长度足够短，保证了缝料上不会出现鸟巢状的线团，大大提高了平缝机缝纫缝料的美观度。
