Description

本发明涉及食品包装,特别是在微波烤箱中膨化爆玉米花的柔性包装。
以前提出了多种用于在微波烤箱内膨化爆玉米花的方法或直角端装有角撑板的包装袋。美国专利US-4,691,374描述了一种可用来进行烹调的包装袋,其中成角状联接板的密封区设置在包装袋的底部(见图1、3和4)。虽然这种包装袋非常好,但是依然存在着某些缺点。值得注意的是图9中的包装袋呈普通椭圆形,如同吹胀的球。在进行本发明的研制工作中,我们发现,用微波炉膨化爆玉米花的过程中,包装袋易于形成椭圆或足球形状,包装袋的这种形状影响接收器的效果。接收器是受微波感应的片状材料。接收器安置在包装袋的一个壁上,用来吸收微波能量和以热的形式传递能量,以使玉米膨化。我们还发现,在包装袋下部的底板开始向上朝着包装袋的各端部弯曲,并且容易使爆玉米花烤焦,这主要是因为在这种情况下,食品没有与接收器相接触。
鉴于这些缺点,本发明的首要目的是提出一种方法,改进包装袋的形状,在微波炉内膨化爆玉米花时,随着包装袋膨胀,使得安置在包装袋侧板上的接收器更有效地工作。另一个目的是找到一种方法,改变包装袋的形状,以使接收器在尺寸上可以做得大些,不至于产生过度烤焦、炭化、或者燃烧。又一个目的是找到一种方法,使在微波炉内膨胀的包装袋保持有一个平面,尤其是包装袋的下部面板,处于扁平状态,以使该下部面板更好地适应微波炉的底板。还有一个目的是增大下部面板的面积。本发明总的发明目的是提供一种方法,控制在微波炉中膨化谷物用的包装袋的形状,以改进包装袋的性能,这些性能可以通过测定爆玉米花的体积、爆玉米花的膨胀密度、未爆开谷粒的数量、排出蒸汽的可能性,以及包装袋烤焦的程度显示出来。
这些和其它有关本发明的详细的和特殊的目的将在下面通过举例,以及参考后面的说明加以理解。在理解了本发明所述的原理之后,本专业的技术人员能够得出几种本发明的变化形式。
所述的包装件包括包装袋,该包装袋有一对面板,这对面板由沿径向延伸,向中央突出的联接板连接。包装袋的底部有一坚固耐久的密封区。在包装袋的顶部由热塑性粘合剂形成可破裂的密封区。这种热塑性粘合剂的密封区允许在膨化谷物过程中,打开容器顶部,形成排气口。底部密封区包括涂敷有粘合剂的密封区,它们以成角状的形式从包装袋的中央延伸,朝着侧边缘倾斜,沿包装袋的整个底端设置有密封区,使容器底端封闭。上部密封区在各边设有成角状的粘合剂密封区,并且在各侧面形成自由站立的、向外突出的,具有密封边缘的三角形折片。它们倾斜的边缘相交在包装袋中央附近的两个相互隔开的点上。四个折片相交的端点为包装袋确定蒸汽排出区。在顶端和底端的成角状密封区在四个点A-D上相交于包装袋的面板。在包装袋的面板中装有接收器。由A-D四个点确定包装袋的矩形区域。当谷物在微波炉内进行膨化时,矩形区域保持相对平坦状态。
当包装袋处于扁平状态时,联接板相向延伸,几乎到达包装袋的中央。因此,联接板最中央的折线靠得非常近,以致将包装袋分隔成两个平行的腔,即在包装袋的下面板和联接板之间的下腔,以及位于联接板和包装袋上面板之间的上腔。当包装袋被填充时,上腔由固定密封区保持封闭状态,而下腔打开,接收要膨化的谷物和食用油。
参考下列附图,对本发明的实施例做进一步说明。
图1是形成包装容器的纸坯内表面的平面图,它显示了最佳的粘结剂附着区和接收器。
图2是食品被装入包装袋之前,包装袋被撑开时的透视图。
图3是图2的顶视图。
图4是在微波炉内爆玉米花膨化后,包装袋的侧视图。

现在,参见图1,其中图解说明柔性片材10的内侧,由它为包装件提供包装袋22。可以看出,柔性片材10通常呈矩形,并包括相互平行的顶部边缘和底部边缘32和34,它们分别同相互平行的侧边36和38构成直角。边缘32形成包装袋的顶部,边缘34形成包装袋的底部。侧边缘36和38以相互重叠的方式粘接,形成如下所述沿纵向延伸的重叠密封边。
在柔性片材10的内表面具有一对分别位于顶部和底部的、设有用于密封的热塑性粘结剂的带状区域40和41,可以采用任何一种合适的施胶设备向纸坯涂敷粘合剂。用任何一种商业上适用的粘合剂可以形成粘合剂带状区40和41。最好采用热敏感热塑性粘合剂,如聚乙酸乙烯脂,或聚乙酸乙烯脂的共聚物的粘合剂,涂层重量为5~7磅/令纸。另一种合适的粘合剂是热固性聚乙酸乙烯脂乳液粘合剂,例如俄亥俄卅哥伦布城富兰克林国际公司商标名为Duracet12的产品。如果需要,也可以使用其他粘合剂,如糊精或淀粉基粘合剂。当包装袋在高速自动化设备中成型为管状,并且进行填充时,最好使用热塑性热密封粘合剂。在上述情况下,将粘合剂的带状区40和41固定在一起,经过加热和加压形成密封边。
粘合剂的带状区40和41可以有多种宽度,但只应当是合理的宽度,例如7/8英寸宽的粘合区最好。这样,对于“浮体”有足够的空间。粘合区在片材10中的位置变化取决于用来形成密封边的热密封夹具。
纵向密封边28靠垂直配置的粘合剂带状区36和38沿纵向形成,带状区36和38分别位于纸坯10中相反的表面。粘合剂带状区36和38最好由热塑性粘合剂形成。而且,如果需要,可以使用快速固化的精糊粘合剂或树脂型粘合剂。当密封边28搭接,形成包装袋22时,粘合剂带状区36和38互相接触。因此,在两个面对面粘合层之间形成一牢固的粘合区。同样,在端部密封边靠粘合剂带状区40和41形成的情况下,粘合剂带状区总是同对面的粘合剂带状区的一部分相接合,使一层粘合剂带状区,以面对面的方式,与另一层相密封。用这种方法,形成牢固的粘合区。它比单层粘合剂粘合普通纸形成的粘合区强度高。
片材10最好由两层片材形成,例如由25磅/令纸漂白的不透油牛皮纸作为内层,借助于适当的粘合剂与作为外层的30磅/令纸普通漂白牛皮纸形成叠层材料。在叠层之间设有微波接收器43。例如,美国专利US-4,735,513,US-4,878,675中描述的将金属化的塑材膜夹在两层牛皮纸之间,或者象美国专利申请SN456,159现在的美国专利US-4,970,358中描述的涂层。在接收器和内层不透油的牛皮纸层之间,使用的粘合剂置好是聚乙酸乙烯脂基的乳液粘合剂,如新泽西州卡勒斯特Elektromek公司出品的Elektromek乙烯基乙酸共聚物的粘合剂。Duracet12粘合剂也能用于纸坯的内部和外部,这两种粘合剂涂层重量为4~6磅/令纸,比较而言,以前使用较小的接收器用43a表示。制造的接收器43可以比以前使用的大25%。
在制造过程中,沿六条画好的线50~55折叠纸坯10,形成包装袋22。线50~55不表示折痕,而是当包装袋22被成型之后,沿50~55形成折线。一般在生产过程中,没有必要预先加工出折痕。在折线52和53之间是底平面板56。包装袋的上部(右边)分别由在折线50和55对面的平面部分58、58a形成。在平面板56的右侧和平面板58的左侧之间有联接板。在图1中,左边的平面表示为60、60a,右边的平面表示为62、62a。联接板分别通过折线51和54连接。
在包装袋22的底部设有相似于美国专利US-4,691,374中成角状的密封区,它们与粘合剂设置区64-71的倾斜边的位置相对应。成角状的密封边包括联接板和各面板之间的密封。在联接板的各面板之间,包括一对位于包装袋左边和右边的成角状密封边,其中成角状区域66与成角状区域67相密封。而成角状密封区域65与成角状密封区域64相密封。全部倾斜的密封边向上朝外倾斜,离开包装袋的中央,使各联接板与相邻的面板(顶部或底部)的部分区域相接触,并粘接。显而易见,虽然可以在联接板和相邻的面板上设有粘合剂涂敷区,当然,也可以仅在这两者之一中设置粘接剂涂敷区,不过这在一定程度上将形成粘接强度较弱的粘接区。
在包装袋顶部设有第二组具有斜边的密封区,该密封区包括第一组相配合的密封区68、70,以及第二组相配合的密封区71、72。两组密封区都适合于将联接板60a、62和面板56相密封。可以看出,固定密封区68-72的位置使这些倾斜的密封区沿折线倾斜。折线向上,并向着中央朝包装袋的顶部32伸展。在包装袋顶部各边构成角状粘接剂密封区。如图所示,形成四个可自由站立的,向外伸出的三角形折片75、75a、77、77a。在上述折片中,成角状密封边位于包装袋各边。在包装袋中央附近顶端部32上,折片相交于两个相隔开的点E和F。在三角形折片75、77相交处的点E和F之间的距离决定蒸汽排出区G。在图7和图8中示出封闭的蒸汽排出区。图9表示在进行膨化的最后阶段,当蒸汽排出时,区域G的形状。
已经看出,在微波炉内加热包装袋直到谷物膨化,密封区68、70的顶点在A,角状密封区71、72的顶点在B,相结合的粘合区64、65的顶点在C和D。这样相交的四个点A、B、C、D决定了装有接收器43的矩形底面区域73。由四个相交点A、B、C、D确定在粘结区端部和低板区域之间的相交线,致使底面保持相当平坦的状态,并且在膨化过程中很好地适应于微波炉的底面板。
从粘合剂带状区40向下朝着软包装底部伸展,在纸坯左边有两个相配合的凸耳状粘合剂涂敷区42、44,它们相互密封。在纸坯右边也有两个相配合的凸耳状粘合剂涂敷区46、46,它们也相互密封。用凸耳状粘接区42、44、46、48作为固定粘合区,使包装袋的腔55上部部密封在一起。下面将对此进行更为充分的描述。
联接板的折线51和54将包装袋分为两部分,即扁平部分55和膨胀部分57。如图2、3所示,固定粘接区42、44、46、48在爆玉米45被装入包装袋之前形成。固定密封区42、44、46、48将牢牢保持扁平部分55处于扁平状态。这样,使得可膨胀部分57能够完全膨胀,以便将一定量的爆玉米和食用油45装入包装袋的膨胀部分57。这大大有助于提高包装袋的填充效率。事实上,在一台典型设备运行条件下,固定密封区可以减少爆玉米落在地上的损耗量。这种损耗每天每台填充机大约为60~100磅。
美国专利US-4,691,374描述的包装袋和目前出售的所有其它用微波膨化爆玉米花的包装袋膨胀时,容易形成椭圆形或球形。对比而言,本发明利用底部成角状密封区与向外自由站立,并且突出的三角形折片75、77相协作,折片75、77分别在相互隔开的两点E和F处汇聚。当进行微波加热时,随着包装袋的膨胀,形成一个大底板73,该底板73保持平坦状态,以便支撑接收器43。这样就使包装袋呈矩形或盆形的形状。通过测定膨胀的爆玉米花的体积,爆玉米花的膨胀密度,残存的未膨化的哑豆数量,排出蒸汽,以及内装物被烤焦的程度,可以得知改进了膨化性能。包装袋的形态也易于和膨化性能相协调,并且不容易受变化因素的影响,例如膨胀速度、纸张湿度、谷粒温度,等等。另外,选用的接收器43可以比以前使用的接收器43a(图1示)更大些,并且非常安全。
当需要时,具有倾斜边的粘合区80、82可以设置联接板与包装袋的上面板58、58a之间,与角状的密封区68~72对齐排列。
三条沿水平方向配置,用于使内装物定位的粘合剂涂敷区69、69a、69b保持食品45从所有路径落入包装袋22的底部34,采用的方法与美国专利US-4,691,374中描述的相似。
我们发现,经过改善的盒形包装容器的矩形形状可以提高爆玉米的膨化及其综合性能。倾斜密封区的相交角度影响最终包装袋的几何形状。对于不同条件能够确定出最佳方案。对于底部和上部的成角状密封区,与包装袋的径向轴线成42~55°角时,可以得到好结果。
术语“角状密封”意味着密封区相对于包装袋径向轴线有倾斜边。如果需要,密封区68-72上的三角形区域可以完全涂敷粘合剂。此外,如果需要,可以使粘合剂完全复盖纸坯表面。加热的夹具可以用来密封包装袋的端部。在这种情况下,由密封夹具的形状决定密封区的位置。因此,热密封区可以取决于热密封粘合剂的涂敷形式;必要时,也可以由夹具的形状来决定。使用的热密封粘合剂的数量和粘合剂自身的强度可以控制粘接剂结合处的质量。在形成包装袋和固定粘接区结合后,如图2,图3所示,爆玉米和食用油45被装入腔57内。借助适当形状的热密封夹具形成顶部密封。
谷物膨化后,如图10所示,消费者可以用手打开容器顶部,从包装袋内取出爆玉花。依靠容器内部的蒸汽压力,通过排气区G在顶部打开开口。随着上述情况产生,当容器内部压力增加到足够高时,在包装袋顶部剥开密封区40。因为包装袋顶部密封区40比底部密封区42的强度弱,包装袋22总是在顶部由于膨胀开裂。因此,包装袋可以自行排气。此外,包装袋22的开口总是位于同一地方G,该处介于角状密封区的相交点E和F之间。
当理解了上述发明原理之后,本专业的技术人员可以从本发明的权利要求书中得出本发明的多种变化形式。

Claims (5)

1、用于在微波炉内膨化谷物的包装袋,其特征在于:具有一对顶边和底边相互平行的上面板和下面板,其确定包装袋的顶部和底部,而且各面板有呈直角的侧边;向中央突出,并沿纵向延伸的左右联接板在包装袋的上、下面板之间延伸;联接板将包装袋分为一对贮存腔;在包装袋的顶部和底部,至少在联接板和下面板之间具有角状密封区;角状密封区的边缘从底面板的侧边向中央延伸到包装袋的相邻端,包装袋的底端沿横向夹紧封闭全部边缘;在包装袋的顶部,联接板和包装袋的底面板之间构成角状密封区,并且构成向外突出的、可以自由站立的三角形折片,这些三角形折片具有倾斜延伸的密封边,这些密封边相交于包装袋中央附近的两个相互隔开的点,位于折片端部上述两点之间的距离决定包装袋的蒸汽排出区;烹调过程中,在内部压力的影响下,蒸汽排出口打开;角状密封区的外端在四个点A、B、C、D与底面板相交,于是由三角形折片确定矩形底面区域的顶边,底面区域中设有微波感应接收器;在微波炉内膨化谷物时,使接收器保持相对平坦状态,以便提供一相当大的平面支撑板,以提高膨化谷物的膨化效果。
2、按照权利要求1所述的包装袋,其特征在于:角状密封区相对于包装袋的纵向轴线有大约42~55°的倾斜角。
3、按照权利要求1所述的包装袋,其特征在于:固定密封装置用于在封闭条件下密封包装袋的一部分,而包装袋的第二部分打开,以便装入要膨化的谷物。
4、按照权利要求3所述的包装袋,其特征在于:固定密封装置包括在联接板和上面板之间的粘合剂涂敷区,其与顶端相邻,当要膨化的谷物装入包装袋时,使联接板和上面板相密封。
5、按照权利要求1所述的包装袋,其特征在于:在包装袋的顶端和底端,联接板和上、下面板之间,设有角状密封区。
