Abstract

混合插座连接器及混合插头连接器
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种混合连接器,尤其涉及一种具有RJ45结构并同时还配备有MPO(Multi-fiber Push On)设备的连接器,以便其能传输电信号和光信号。
【背景技术】
美国专利第US8,708,754号揭示了一种混合连接器,其具有常规RJ45的结构,并能同时传输电信号和光信号。然而,这种设计只能设有两根光纤,并且没有提供弹力用于确保与对接光纤插头连接器和RJ连接器的配合。因此,需要设计一种具有常规RJ45结构并进一步配置有MPO设备的混合连接器,用于传输电信号和光信号。
【发明内容】
本发明所要解决的技术问题在于:提供一种混合连接器,其具有RJ45结构并进一步配备有MPO设备。
本发明所要解决的技术问题是通过以下技术方案实现的:提供一种插座混合连接器包括绝缘本体,其设有RJ45收容槽和位于绝缘本体后侧的固持组件。固持组件包括固持体和安装在固持体上并具有若干变压器的电路板。若干端子固定于和连接于电路板,并具有向前延伸至收容槽的弹性接触部。MPO装置固持于固持体,且具有若干向前朝向收容槽的若干的光纤。相应的插头连接器包括设有用于收容另外一个MPO装置的绝缘外壳,以及若干用于收容若干端子的通道。一电路板位于绝缘外壳后端,并与端子相连接。安装到电路板后端的电缆以及连接至另一MPO装置的光缆。显然地,与前述美国专利第US8,708,754号相比,其插头连接器与插座连接器的光纤对接偏离收容槽的中间位置,而本发明的插座连接器与插头连接器配合的光纤配合发生在收容槽的中间。
MPO设备的另一安装方式是直立式的安装在RJ45收容槽的侧边。在这种位置,MPO设备具有更充足的空间用于安装包括弹簧的相应组件,其中弹簧起到提供弹性耦合力的作用。

【具体实施方式】
如图1至图17所示,一种插头连接器100与安装在电路板300上的插座连接器200对接。插头连接器100包括绝缘外壳102、沿前后方向贯穿绝缘外壳102的插槽104、若干贯穿绝缘外壳102前端面并与插槽间隔设置的通道106、及可绕着前端面远离通道106偏转的锁尾108。在竖直方向上,插槽104设置在通道106和锁尾108之间。
连接组件110收容在插槽104内,其包括电路板112、若干连接在电路板112前端区域的端子114、若干连接在电路板112后端区域的芯线116、以及MPO装置118。MPO装置118收容于插槽104内,且包括保持架120、收容于保持架120的若干光纤122、以及一对设置于保持架120两侧的定位柱124。保持架120的前端面向前凸出超过绝缘外壳102的前端面,定位柱124向前凸出超过保持架120的前端面。在本实施例中芯线116和光纤一起设置于线缆126内。
插座连接器200包括绝缘本体202、沿前后方向位于绝缘本体202后端的固持组件204。绝缘本体202形成有沿前后方向贯穿绝缘本体202的RJ-45收容槽210、若干沿垂直于前后方向的上下方向连通收容槽210的通道212。固持组件204包括固持件206和安装在固持件206上的电路板208。若干端子207连接于电路板208的前端区域,并且各自延伸通过相应的通道212进入到收容槽210内。若干变压器214和若干共模抑制器216安装在电路板208上,其中变压器214收容在固持件206内。MPO装置收容在固持件206内,并具有若干光纤224紧密地面对收容槽210的后端。一对定位孔226位于若干光纤224的相反两侧。若干接脚端子228固持于固持件206,其中每一接脚端子228的两相反端分别连接至电路板208和电路板300。一对LED(发光二极管)218设置在绝缘本体202的侧壁上。金属外壳220包围绝缘本体202和固持组件204。作为传统RJ-45绝缘本体,绝缘本体202形成有靠近前开口并用于插头连接器100的锁尾108锁扣的锁扣孔203。
当插座连接器200与插头连接器100对接时,其中绝缘外壳102收容在收容槽210内,定位柱124收容在相应定位孔226内,端子207从竖直方向上机械地和电性地与端子114连接,光纤224与相应光纤122沿前后方向上耦接,锁尾108与锁扣孔203干涉配合。每一端子114呈杆状,并在前后方向和竖直方向上多次弯折。每一端子114具有连接于电路板112的第一竖直部、自第一竖直部弯折后向前延伸的第一水平部、自第一水平部弯折后竖直延伸的第二竖直部、以及自第二竖直部弯折后向前延伸的第二水平部,所述第二水平部为接触部用以与外部物件对接。所述第一水平部的前端还设有沿竖直方向上弯折延伸的预压部,所述端子207首先与预压部接触再滑动至与第二水平部接触。
美国专利第US8,708,754号在插头连接器内采用刀片形端子,占据了很多空间,从而只有很少的空间用于安装MPO装置。与前述的美国专利第US8,708,754号相比,本发明的不同在于端子114只占据绝缘外壳102很少的空间,以便相应的MPO装置118安装在锁尾108与端子114之间,因此确保了足够的尺寸用于MPO装置,以及更好的电气传输和光传输的排配。另一优点是相邻的端子之间具有更少的串音干扰(crosstalk)。
图18到图25示出了本发明的第二实施例,其中插头连接器500具有在横向方向上并排的电对接端口和光对接端口。插头连接器500包括形成有大插槽504和小插槽506的绝缘外壳502。小插槽506贯通绝缘外壳502的前端面,而大插槽504通过若干通道508向前贯通至外部。电连接组件510收容在大插槽504内,光连接组件530收容在小插槽506内。电连接组件510包括电路板512、若干连接至电路板512前端区域的端子514、以及连接至电路板512后端区域的若干芯线516。光连接组件530包括配备有一直促使MPO装置532向前的弹簧534。与第一实施例类似,MPO装置532包括若干光纤536和一对设置在横向相反两端的定位柱538。在本实施例中,锁尾509位于靠近大插槽504的附近而不靠近小插槽506。容易理解地,插座连接器的电对接端口和光对接端口也是并排设置。

Claims (10)

1.一种混合插座连接器,其包括:
绝缘本体,其设有符合RJ-45端口尺寸的收容槽,所述收容槽在前后方向上与外部空间连通;
若干形成于绝缘本体上的通道,其与收容槽在垂直于前后方向的上下方向上连通;
固持组件,其位于绝缘本体的后方,所述固持组件包括固持件和安装在固持件上的电路板;
若干电子元件,其安装在电路板上;
若干端子,其连接于电路板,每一端子具有延伸进入相应通道和收容槽的对接部;
若干接脚,其连接于电路板并电性连接至相应的端子;以及
MPO装置,其设置于固持件并位于收容槽的后方,所述MPO装置具有若干向前延伸至收容槽的光纤,以与插入收容槽内的插头连接器的另一MPO装置对接。
2.如权利要求1所述的混合插座连接器,其特征在于:所述混合插座连接器还包括安装在电路板上的若干变压器和若干共模抑制器,所述变压器收容在固持件内。
3.一种混合插头连接器,其包括:
绝缘外壳,其设有贯穿绝缘外壳前端面用于与外部空间沿前后方向连通的插槽;
若干通道,其在垂直于前后方向的竖直方向上与插槽间隔设置;
电路板和连接于电路板上的若干端子,每一端子的接触部延伸进入相应通道以与外部物体在竖直方向上对接;
MPO装置,其收容于插槽内,所述MPO包括保持架和承载于保持架的若干光纤,每一光纤的前端抵达了保持架的前端面,保持架的前端面凸出超过了绝缘外壳的前端面;以及
可偏转锁尾,其设置在与若干端子相反一端的绝缘外壳上,其特征在于:所述MPO装置在竖直方向上位于锁尾和端子之间。
4.如权利要求3所述的混合插头连接器,其特征在于:所述保持架在竖直方向上的尺寸不超过绝缘外壳在竖直方向五分之一的尺寸。
5.如权利要求3所述的混合插头连接器,其特征在于:所述连接组件包括连接于电路板的芯线,所述光纤与芯线一起设置于一线缆中。
6.如权利要求3所述的混合插头连接器,其特征在于:每一端子呈杆状,并在前后方向和竖直方向上多次弯折。
7.如权利要求3所述的混合插头连接器,其特征在于:每一端子具有连接于电路板的第一竖直部、自第一竖直部弯折后向前延伸的第一水平部、自第一水平部弯折后竖直延伸的第二竖直部、以及自第二竖直部弯折后向前延伸的第二水平部,所述第二水平部为接触部用以与外部物件对接。
8.如权利要求7所述的混合插头连接器,其特征在于:所述第二水平部的前端还设有沿竖直方向上弯折延伸的预压部。
9.一种混合插头连接器,其包括:
绝缘外壳,其设有贯穿绝缘外壳前端面用于与外部空间沿前后方向连通的小插槽;
大插槽,其与小插槽在垂直于前后方向的横向方向并列设置;
若干通道,其在垂直于前后方向的竖直方向上间隔设置,并与大插槽在前后方向上贯通;
电路板和连接于电路板上的若干端子,电路板收容于大插槽,每一端子的接触部延伸进入相应通道以与外部物体在竖直方向上对接;
MPO装置,其收容于小插槽内,所述MPO包括保持架和承载于保持架的若干光纤,每一光纤的前端抵达了保持架的前端面,保持架的前端面凸出超过了绝缘外壳的前端面;以及
可偏转锁尾,其设置在与若干端子相反一端的绝缘外壳上,其特征在于:所述MPO装置和连接组件在横向方向上并列设置。
10.如权利要求9所述的混合插头连接器,其特征在于:所述可偏转锁尾靠近大插槽而远离小插槽。
