DE 696 07 247T2记载了液压流体,其包含乙氧基化单胺、乙氧基化二胺或乙氧基化多胺或脂肪胺和脂肪羧酸或其酯与聚氧亚烷基乙二醇的反应产物(如由蓖麻油和二丙二醇获得的酯交换产物)的混合物。所述混合物起腐蚀抑制体系的作用。
英国专利说明书908,291记载了包含纯化的蓖麻油酸酯的液压流体,其通过以下方法获得:使蓖麻油与聚亚烷基二醇(例如乙二醇)进行酯交换,随后通过穿过离子交换树脂进行纯化,并借助含自由氧的气体对纯化的酯进行热鼓风。所述蓖麻油酸酯在液压流体中表现出润滑特性。
迫切需要改进的高性能液压流体组合物和制动液以提供优异的润滑作用(即减小摩擦)。此外,迫切需要高性能液压流体组合物和制动液,以提供优异的润滑作用并具有低温粘度,同时满足或超越由本领域记载的液压流体组合物和制动液所实现的最小ERBP以及特别是WERBP温度需求。
根据本发明,已发现上述定义的功能性流体组合物,其表现出优异的润滑作用和优越的ERBP、WERBP和低温运动粘度的值,同时保持优异的抗腐蚀性、高的稳定性,并满足其他物理特性要求如pH和储备碱度。此外,在低于-40℃的非常低的温度下例如-50℃下的运动粘度值优于本领域的功能性流体组合物。
在优选的实施方案中,组分(C)的烷氧基化物为以下物质的烷氧基化物:蓖麻油酸、蓖麻油或任何其他蓖麻油酸酯,优选蓖麻油酸或蓖麻油,且非常优选蓖麻油。
针对本说明书的目的,该蓖麻油为至少部分地且优选完全酯化的酰基甘油,其中至少一个、优选至少两个酰基基团为蓖麻油酸或异蓖麻油酸,优选为蓖麻油酸。
例如,脂肪酸的混合物优选包含两分子蓖麻油酸与不带羟基基团的脂肪酸的混合物,所述不带羟基基团的脂肪酸优选选自油酸、亚油酸、棕榈酸和硬脂酸。
在一个优选的实施方案中,蓖麻油的OH值为160至173mg KOH/g。
组分(C)的烷氧基化物优选通过饱和或不饱和的羟基取代的C8至C22脂肪酸或其酯且特别是蓖麻油酸、蓖麻油或任意其他蓖麻油酸酯与至少一种环氧烷烃反应而制备,所述组分(C)的烷氧基化物特别是蓖麻油酸、蓖麻油或任何其他蓖麻油酸酯的烷氧基化物。环氧烷烃可为环氧丙烷、环氧丁烷、环氧苯乙烷(styrene oxide),或者优选为环氧乙烷。还可使用产生环氧烷烃单元的统计或嵌段结构的所述环氧烷烃的混合物。
具体而言,所述组分(C)的烷氧基化物的结构优选在分子中包含饱和或不饱和的C8至C22脂肪一元羧酸单元或至少一种饱和或不饱和的C8至C22脂肪一元羧酸单元,所述饱和或不饱和的C8至C22脂肪一元羧酸单元在游离羧酸官能团上被一个以上的氧亚烷基单元酯化——条件是该游离羧酸官能团存在于分子中——并带有羟基基团,所述羟基基团位于所述烷氧基化物的脂肪酸侧链上且被一个以上的氧亚烷基单元醚化。
作为组分(C)的烷氧基化物的基础,该饱和或不饱和的羟基-取代的C8至C22脂肪一元羧酸或其单元、优选饱和或不饱和的羟基-取代的C14至C20脂肪一元羧酸或其单元的实例为10-羟基硬脂酸、12-羟基硬脂酸且特别是蓖麻油酸。该不饱和的羟基-取代的C8至C22脂肪一元羧酸可作为用于制备组分(C)的烷氧基化物的游离羧酸或相应的酯。在蓖麻油酸的情况下,蓖麻油作为其天然存在的甘油三酸酯可有利地与环氧烷烃以酯交换形式反应,从而生成所需的蓖麻油烷氧基化物和甘油。蓖麻油酸的任何其他酯(例如相应的甘油二酯或甘油单酯或相应的甲酯、乙酯、丙酯或丁酯)可用作用于酯交换的反应物。根据与蓖麻油酸酯、特别是与蓖麻油进行的烷氧基化反应的条件,酯且特别是甘油三酯还可保持其羧酸酯官能团、特别是其甘油三酯官能团,并且仅在位于脂肪酸侧链上的羟基处烷氧基化,在此处被一个以上的氧亚烷基单元醚化。
所述组分(C)的烷氧基化物,特别是蓖麻油酸、蓖麻油或任意其他蓖麻油酸酯的烷氧基化物,通常包含2至200、优选4至100、更优选6至80、最优选10至50、且特别是20至40个环氧烷烃单元,所述环氧烷烃单元优选环氧乙烷单元。“环氧烷烃单元的数目”意指每摩尔饱和或不饱和的羟基-取代的C8至C22脂肪一元羧酸或其单元(作为组分(C)的烷氧基化物的基础)的环氧烷烃的摩尔数。使用为蓖麻油酸的甘油三酯的蓖麻油,用于烷氧基化的环氧烷烃的量是指使3当量的蓖麻油酸或其单元被烷氧基化。为了更高的烷氧基化度,亚烷基单元的数目为作为统计数的平均值,原因在于烷氧基化同系物在产物中的分布。在待烷氧基化的分子中可存在两类羟基基团,即一类待被酯化(或酯交换)且另一类待被醚化,酯化可发生或可不发生,醚化总是发生。
羧酸或其酯(如蓖麻油)的烷氧基化、特别是乙氧基化的方法是本领域中已知的,因此,不需要在本申请中进一步描述。
通式(I)的功能性流体组合物的组分(A)包括乙氧基化度为n=2至n=6、优选n=2至n=4、更优选n=3至n=4且非常优选n=3的物质。组分(A)可为单一物质或在乙氧基化度和/或基团R1方面不同的物质的混合物。基团R1优选地为C1-至C4-烷基基团并且可为甲基、乙基、正丙基、异丙基、正丁基、异丁基、仲丁基、叔丁基、正戊基、正己基、正庚基、正辛基和2-乙基己基、乙基,非常优选正丁基或甲基,且特别优选甲基。
所述硼酸酯及其制备方法是本领域公知的。特别用于本发明的功能性流体组合物的硼酸酯可通过使硼酸与适当的烷氧基二醇组分反应而制备,所述烷氧基二醇组分与组分(B)中的烷氧基二醇不同或相同,优选与组分(B)的烷氧基二醇相同。通常,该烷氧基二醇组分为在乙氧基化度和/或基团R1方面、特别是在平均乙氧基化度方面不同的物质的混合物,这导致一定的乙氧基化度的标准偏差,即数目n或m。
有用的硼酸酯的实例包括包含以下物质:三甘醇硼酸甲酯,其也命名为三-[2-[2-(2-甲氧基乙氧基)-乙氧基]-乙基]原硼酸酯;三甘醇硼酸乙酯;三甘醇硼酸正丁酯;及其混合物。其他有用的硼酸酯包括包含以下物质的硼酸酯:四甘醇硼酸甲酯、二甘醇硼酸甲酯、四甘醇硼酸乙酯、二甘醇硼酸乙酯、四甘醇硼酸正丁酯、二甘醇硼酸正丁酯及其混合物。

在优选的实施方案中,组分(B)包括通式(II)的烷氧基二醇的混合物,其仅包含或主要包含m=3和/或4的物质。“主要”意指至少60重量%,更优选至少75重量%,最优选至少90重量%的组分(B)包含m=3和/或4的物质。在最后一种情况下,m小于3(例如m=2)和/或m大于4(m=5和/或m=6)的烷氧基二醇物质可以少量存在,优选以小于10重量%、更优选小于8重量%且甚至更优选小于5重量%的量存在。

所述烷基残基可全部由石化产品获得,例如工业C8-C15烷基混合物、2-乙基己基或2-丙基庚基,或可全部或部分地基于可再生的原料,例如可使用脂肪胺(如硬脂胺、油胺或牛脂胺)作为烷基胺乙氧基化物的基础。
乙氧基化度通常为每个烷基胺分子1至35个环氧乙烷(“EO”)单元,即至少一个烷基胺乙氧基化物包含1至35个EO单元,优选包含1.5至15个EO单元,更优选包含1.8至9个EO单元,最优选包含2至6个EO单元。所述乙氧基化度是统计值,即烷基胺乙氧基化物通常被认为是具有不同数目的EO单元的物质(同系物)的混合物。
在本发明特别优选的实施方案中,至少一个烷基胺乙氧基化物包含至少一个线性C3至C20烷基链和1至35个EO单元;更优选地,至少一个烷基胺乙氧基化物包含至少一个线性C6至C13烷基链和1.5至15个EO单元;最优选地,至少一个烷基胺乙氧基化物包含至少一个线性C7至C12烷基链和1.8至9个EO单元;特别地,至少一个烷基胺乙氧基化物包含至少一个线性C8至C11烷基链和2至6个EO单元。

通常合适的烷基胺乙氧基化物为市售可得的具有2个EO单元的辛基胺。
所述烷基胺乙氧基化物可通过本领域技术人员已知的常规方法制备,所述方法例如在碱金属氢氧化物的催化下或在双金属氰化物的催化下使烷基胺与环氧乙烷反应。
根据本发明,所述烷基胺乙氧基化物对功能性流体组合物和制动液分别具有部分的腐蚀抑制特性和部分的溶剂特性。
本发明的功能性流体组合物的组分(D)除了包含烷基胺乙氧基化物之外,还可包含至少一种具有腐蚀抑制作用的其他添加剂。合适的具有腐蚀抑制特性的常规添加剂包括:脂肪酸如月桂酸、棕榈酸、硬脂酸或油酸;亚磷酸或磷酸与脂族醇的脂;亚磷酸酯如磷酸乙酯、磷酸二甲酯、磷酸异丙酯、磷酸正丁酯、亚磷酸三苯酯和亚磷酸二异丙酯;五氧化二磷与如上述作为组分(B)的烷氧基二醇的反应产物;含氮杂环有机化合物,如苯并三唑、甲苯三唑、1,2,4-三唑、苯并咪唑、嘌呤、腺嘌呤以及这些杂环有机化合物的衍生物;烷基胺如单-(C4至C20-烷基)胺和二-(C4至C20-烷基)胺,例如正丁胺、正己胺、正辛胺、2-乙基己胺、异壬胺、正癸胺、正十二烷基胺、油胺、二正丙胺、二异丙胺、二正丁胺、二正戊胺、环己胺以及这些烷基胺的盐;烷醇胺,如单-甲醇胺、二-甲醇胺和三甲醇胺,单-乙醇胺、二-乙醇胺和三乙醇胺,单-正丙醇胺,二-正丙醇胺和三正丙醇胺和单-,二-异丙醇胺和三异丙醇胺。当然,可使用上述具有腐蚀抑制作用的添加剂的混合物。
除了烷基胺乙氧基化物和可能地具有腐蚀抑制作用的添加剂之外,组分(D)的添加剂包中还可存在其他的常规添加剂,例如稳定剂如pH稳定剂、抗氧化剂如吩噻嗪和酚类化合物(例如羟基苯甲醚(hydroxyanisol)和双酚A)、消泡剂和染料。
优选地,包含一种以上的烷基胺乙氧基化物的组分(D)的添加剂包由大部分的具有腐蚀抑制作用的添加剂和少部分的具有抗氧化作用的添加剂以及可能的消泡剂和染料组成或基本上由大部分的具有腐蚀抑制作用的添加剂和少部分的具有抗氧化作用的添加剂以及可能的消泡剂和染料组成。在组分(D)的添加剂包中,烷基胺乙氧基化物的比例为0至100重量%,优选为1至99重量%,更优选为10至98重量%,最优选为40至97重量%,各自基于组分(D)的添加剂包的重量计。
还可考虑将除组分(A)、(B)、(C)和(D)以外的其他物质配制到本发明的功能性流体组合物中,条件是注意不要使ERBP或WERBP温度降低至低于本发明较优的高水平或使低温粘度增加至大于可接受的水平。例如,基于组合物的总重量计,本发明的功能性流体组合物可包含0至20重量%的稀释剂或润滑剂,如聚环氧乙烷、聚环氧丙烷、聚(C4至C10亚烷基)氧化物、二烷氧基二醇或硼酸酯共酯(borate co-ester)。此外,因为制备方法,在本发明的功能性流体组合物中还可存在少量如基于组合物的总重量计d最高达5重量%、特别地最高达1.5重量%的组分(A)和/或(B)的前体如二甘醇和三甘醇。这些前体不干预组分(C)或(D)的作用。
根据本发明,三种组分(A)、(B)、(C)和(D)在功能性流体组合物中的存在量如下:
(A)0至94.99重量%、优选15至90重量%、更优选30至75重量%、甚至更优选45至65重量%、最优选56至62重量%;
(B)5至99.99重量%、优选5至80重量%、更优选20至65重量%、甚至更优选32至52重量%、最优选36至42重量%;
(C)0.01至5重量%、优选0.05至2重量%、更优选0.1至1重量%、最优选0.15至0.9重量%;
(D)0至10重量%、优选0.01至7重量%、更优选0.1至4重量%、最优选1.5至2.5重量%。
以上(A)、(B)、(C)和(D)的全部%值是指本发明的功能性流体组合物的全部组成,或者——如果还存在除组分(A)、(B)、(C)和(D)以外的其他物质,例如上述稀释剂和/或润滑剂——是指(A)加(B)加(C)加(D)的总重量。在每种情况下(A)、(B)、(C)和(D)的%值加和为100重量%。
本发明的功能性流体组合物在ERBP和WERBP温度方面且同时在低温粘度性能方面表现出优异的性能。优选地,其表现出的ERBP为至少260℃、更优选至少265℃、最优选至少270℃,和/或WERBP为至少180℃、更优选至少182℃、甚至更优选至少184℃、最优选至少185℃且特别优选至少187℃。
本发明的功能性流体组合物表现出的低温运动粘度优选小于750厘沲(“cSt”)(=mm2/s),更优选为小于685cSt,最优选小于680cSt,各自均在-40℃的温度下测定。
本发明的主题还为饱和或不饱和的羟基取代的C8至C22脂肪酸或其酯的烷氧基化物作为具有润滑作用的添加剂在功能性流体、特别是在液压流体和制动液中的用途,位于所述烷氧基化物的脂肪酸侧链上的羟基被至少一个氧亚烷基单元醚化,优选被至少一个氧亚乙基单元醚化。
本发明的功能性流体组合物特别用作制动液,例如用于具有液压制动系统的车辆(如客车和小货车)的制动液,其表现出优异的润滑作用并且保护制动系统的泵的密封件的橡胶或弹性材料不发生变形和/或泄漏。此外,本发明的功能性流体组合物用于新的电动或自动防抱死制动系统,该防抱死制动系统需要更低粘度的流体以满足低温下的运行。
本发明的功能性流体组合物除了其在ERBP和WERBP温度方面的优良性能及其低温粘度性能之外,还表现出良好的防腐性、良好的水相容性、适中的pH值(例如约7至约8.5)、良好的低温和高温稳定性、良好的氧化稳定性和良好的化学稳定性。
以下实施例旨在说明本发明的低温功能性流体组合物的特性和性能,而不对本发明不作限制。
实施例
本发明的以下包含蓖麻油乙氧基化物的功能性流体组合物(“FFC1”、“FFC2”和“FFC4”)的摩擦系数值根据DIN 51834-2的测试程序利用弹性材料测试板EPDM RM-69测定。为了比较,测定相应的不含该蓖麻油乙氧基化物的功能性流体组合物(“FFC3”)的摩擦系数值并与FFC1和FFC2比较。摩擦系数值越低,功能性流体组合物的润滑特性越好。

Claims (11)

1.一种功能性流体组合物,其包含:
(A)基于组合物的总重量计的15至90重量%的一种以上的具有通式(I)的烷氧基二醇硼酸酯
[R1-O-(CH2CH2-O)n]3B (I)
其中R1为C1至C8-烷基基团或所述基团的混合物,且n的值为2至6;
(B)基于组合物的总重量计的5至99.99重量%的一种以上的具有通式(II)的烷氧基二醇组分:
R2-O-(CH2CH2-O)m-H (II)
其中R2为C1至C8-烷基基团或所述基团的混合物,且m的值为2至6,R2和/或m分别与R1和/或n不同或相同;
(C)基于组合物的总重量计的0.01至5重量%的蓖麻油酸、蓖麻油或任何其他蓖麻油酸酯的烷氧基化物,位于所述烷氧基化物的脂肪酸侧链上的羟基被至少一个氧亚烷基单元醚化;
(D)基于组合物的总重量计的0至10重量%的包含一种以上的具有腐蚀抑制作用的添加剂的添加剂包。

9.根据权利要求1或2所述的功能性流体组合物,其表现出小于750厘沲的低温运动粘度,所述低温运动粘度在-40℃的温度下测定。
10.根据权利要求1至9中任一项所述的功能性流体作为制动液的用途。
11.如权利要求1至3中任一项所定义的蓖麻油酸、蓖麻油或任何其他蓖麻油酸酯的烷氧基化物在功能性流体中作为具有润滑作用的添加剂的用途,位于所述烷氧基化物的脂肪酸侧链上的羟基被至少一个氧亚烷基单元醚化。
