Abstract

The invention relates to a refrigerated goods storage device for a refrigeration appliance, comprising a plate (4) having lateral, front and rear edges (25, 7). At least one pair of springs which can be elastically compressed in the lateral direction is arranged on the lateral edges of the plate (4).

Description

Refrigerated goods storage device for a refrigeration device
Technical Field
The invention relates to a refrigerated goods storage device for a refrigerator, in particular a domestic refrigerator, such as a refrigerator.
Background
The refrigerated storage device is used for dividing the storage space in the refrigerator into a plurality of grids which are overlapped up and down. In most of the refrigerators sold on the market today, the storage space is delimited by an inner container which is deep-drawn in one piece from plastic. The manufacturing accuracy during deep drawing is relatively low, so that the dimensions of the finished inner container can vary considerably. Furthermore, in order to enable the die for deep drawing to be pulled out of the finished inner container without problems after the end of the deep drawing, the width of the inner container must be reduced from the open front side to the rear wall of the inner container. The refrigerated goods storage device to be used in such a refrigerator having a deep drawn inner container must therefore be small enough so that, if the inner container is narrow, it also fits into the inner container. When the inner container is standard or wide, the refrigerated storage may move in the inner container in a lateral direction, which may result in an interfering snap sound and wear on the inner container or the refrigerated storage.
EP 0582784 proposes that an adapter is provided for fastening the refrigerated goods storage unit in the inner container of the refrigeration appliance, said adapter being fastened by snap-engagement of pins in receptacles on the side walls of the inner container and having bearing surfaces projecting from the walls, by means of which bearing surfaces a recess of the refrigerated goods storage unit is engaged, said bearing surfaces supporting the recess on the one hand and fastening the recess in the depth direction of the inner container on the other hand. Furthermore, the adapter comprises a spring which can be deflected from the edge side to the inner container wall in contact with an edge of the refrigerated goods storage unit. In principle, however, it is possible with the aid of the spring that, although a possible tolerance for the width of the inner container can also be used for the gapless centering of the refrigerated goods storage device, the longer the spring, the greater the tolerance to be compensated for and the greater said tolerance and therefore the more protruding the adapter. Furthermore, the adapter increases the complexity of the assembly of the appliance and makes it difficult to change the assembly height of the refrigerated goods storage unit in the inner container, since the adapter must be assembled together with the refrigerated goods storage unit.
EP 1929223 a1 discloses a refrigerated goods storage device for a refrigerator, wherein a vertically displaceable leaf spring forms the rear end of a lateral edge of the refrigerated goods storage device. The leaf spring serves to releasably latch the refrigerated goods storage unit in a form-fitting manner in a groove of a side wall of the inner container; said leaf spring cannot compensate for manufacturing tolerances of the inner vessel.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a refrigerated goods storage unit which can be mounted reliably and immovably in an inner container of a refrigeration device despite possible deviating widths of the inner container.
This object is achieved in that, in a refrigerated goods storage device for a refrigeration device, which has a plate with a lateral edge, a front edge and a rear edge, at least one pair of springs which can be elastically compressed in the lateral direction is arranged on the lateral edge of the plate.
In order to protect the panels, which are made of glass in particular, against impacts on their edges, the edges of the refrigerated goods storage unit can be formed by a frame which surrounds the panels.
The spring can then constitute a part of the frame as desired.
The frame can be integrally molded, in particular injection molded, directly on the plate. In particular, however, it is more economical to produce refrigerated storage units of different sizes if the frame consists of a plurality of profiles each extending along an edge of the plate.
The spring can then be expediently formed in one piece with the same profile or with two different profiles.
In order to fix the refrigerated goods storage unit in the inner container which narrows toward the rear in a manner customary in the art, the springs of the first pair are preferably arranged adjacent to the front edge.
In order to adapt to the shape of the inner container, the front profile forming the front edge of the refrigerated goods storage unit is preferably longer than the rear edge of the refrigerated goods storage unit.
The rear edge itself can also be formed by a profile; however, a design is also conceivable in which the panel is surrounded only at the front and at the sides by a profile and the rear edge of the refrigerated goods storage unit is the rear edge of the panel itself.
In order to achieve an unobtrusive mounting of the spring, the front profile can have a recess on its longitudinal end, in which recess the spring is arranged and which is delimited at least in the forward and upward direction by a wall in each case.
Preferably, the two springs of the first pair are formed in one piece with the profile forming the front edge of the refrigerated goods storage unit.
To form the frame, the front profile is snapped onto the two side profiles.
In order to securely fix the plate, at least the two side profiles should have grooves which receive the edges of the plate. Additionally, such a groove can also be provided on the front profile.
In particular, if the rear edge of the plate is exposed without being surrounded by the profile of the frame, the groove of the side profile can be closed at its rear end in order to securely fix the plate.
A second pair of springs, which are elastically compressible in the lateral direction, can be arranged adjacent to the rear edge of the refrigerated goods storage unit.
The second pair of springs is preferably each integrally formed with the side profile.

Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawings:
fig. 1 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of an inner container of a sectional refrigerator and a refrigerated goods storage unit according to the invention arranged therein;
FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the refrigerated storage unit;
fig. 3 is an enlarged perspective view illustrating a front corner of the refrigerated storage unit;
FIG. 4 shows the corner of FIG. 3 in an assembled state;
FIG. 5 is a sectional view taken along a depth direction of a front corner of the refrigerated storage unit of FIG. 4; and
fig. 6 shows a rear corner of the refrigerated storage unit in a perspective view.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows, in a sectional view, an inner container 1 deep-drawn from a plastic sheet, which is provided for fitting into the body of a refrigeration device housing in a manner known per se. Formed on the side wall of the inner container 1 are supporting ribs 3, against which the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 rests. The refrigerated goods storage unit 2 comprises a planar plate 4, preferably made of tempered glass, which is surrounded by a frame 30 at least along its four edges in order to fix and protect the plate against damage. The frame 30 is composed of a plurality of profiles which are injection-molded in one piece from plastic. In the case shown here, the front profile 5 is inserted onto the front edge 25 of the plate 4, and the side profiles 6 (of which only one on the side of the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 facing the viewer can be seen in fig. 1) surround the side edges of the plate 4 and rest on the supporting ribs 3. The profile is not shown on the rear edge 7 of the plate 4, but a profile can also be mounted here, so that the profile forms a frame extending around the plate 4.
Fig. 2 shows the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 in an exploded perspective view, wherein the side facing downwards in the assembled state of fig. 1 is turned upwards in the view of fig. 2. The front profile 5 and the side profile 6 are shown opposite the edges 25, 32 of the plate 4, to which they are to be inserted. On the underside of the side profiles 6 facing the viewer, one latching projection 33 is seen each, which engages with the recess of the supporting rib 3 when the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 is fitted into the inner container 1 and, as a result, latches the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 immovably in the depth direction of the inner container 1. On the upper side of the side profile 6, a rib 34 is formed, which can be used as a guide for a pull-out box, not shown, supported on the refrigerated goods storage unit 2.
Fig. 3 shows the front corner of the refrigerated goods storage 2 from the same perspective as fig. 2 and on an enlarged scale. A part of the plate 4, of the front profile 5 and of one of the two side profiles 6 can be seen, respectively.
The front profile 5 comprises a vertically oriented end face 8 facing the open front side of the inner container 1 in the installed state of fig. 1 and horizontal arms 9, 10 proceeding from said end face. The horizontal arms 9, 10 delimit a groove which receives the front edge 25 of the plate 4. The groove is designated 11 in fig. 5, which cannot be seen directly in fig. 3, since it is closed in the lateral direction by a wall 12 which connects the two arms 9, 10 to one another. Only a portion of the arm 9 on the opposite side of the slot 11 is visible through a window 31 in the upper arm 10 (in the perspective of fig. 3).
On both longitudinal ends 35 of the front profile 5, the wall 12 delimits, together with end sections 36, 37 of the end sides 8 and of the horizontal arms 9, which project laterally beyond the wall, a recess 13 on each end of the front profile 5, which recess is open to the side and downward in the assembled state of fig. 1. A projection 14 projects from the wall 12 into the recess 13 in the extension of the horizontal arm 10. On its side facing the end side 8, the projection 14 transitions into a gently undulating spring 15 which projects over a lateral end edge 26 of the arm 9. On the opposite side of the projection 14, a guide wedge 16 projects rearward beyond the rear edge 17 of the horizontal arm 10, said guide wedge being intended to engage with the side profile 6.
Adjacent to the wall 12, a locking recess or locking window 19 is provided in the horizontal arm 10.
As in the case of the former profile 5, the side profile 6 also comprises two horizontal arms 21, 22 which are connected to one another by a wall 23 and form a groove which receives the side edge 32 of the plate 4. A barb 20 is formed on an arm 22 of the side profile 6 which is level with the horizontal arm 10 of the front profile 5 in order to engage with the locking window 19 in the position shown in fig. 4, in which the profiles 5, 6 are inserted onto the plate 4. In the view of fig. 4, the arm 21 is largely hidden behind the arm 22 and the wall 23, and a part of the arm 21 can be seen which projects in the lateral direction beyond the wall 23 in order to support the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 on the supporting rib 3. The arm 22 carries, on its front end, at its outer edge, a vertical plate 24 which, together with an opposite wall 23, delimits a wedge-shaped, rearwardly tapering guide recess 18 which receives the guide wedge 16.
If, during the assembly of the refrigerated storage unit 2, the front profile 5 is pushed onto the plate 4 and onto the profile 6 inserted laterally thereon, the front edge 25 of the plate 4 is first inserted into the groove 11 of the profile 5. Thus, when the horizontal arm 10 below hits the tip of the barb 20 shortly before, the profile 5 is connected to the plate 4 in a vertically immovable manner, so that the barb 20 is elastically deflected downwards and slides onto the arm 10. The arm 10 is clamped between the barb 20 and the plate 4, while the guide wedge 16 penetrates into the guide recess 18 of the side profile 6 and thus forces the profiles 5, 6 to be oriented relative to one another in the width direction of the refrigerated storage unit 2, in which mutual orientation the side profile 6 is positioned substantially without play in the width direction by the guide wedge 16 contacting both the wall 23 and the plate 24 when the barb 20 reaches the latching window 19 and is inserted into the latching window, and the plate 24 extends the end edge 26 of the arm 9 flush, which extends at an acute angle to the depth direction of the refrigerated storage unit.
The edge 27 of the latching window 19 which acts on the barb 20 as shown in fig. 5 (or the side of the barb 20 opposite the edge 27) can be oriented slightly obliquely, so that when the profiles 5, 6 are butted against one another, the barb 20 presses against the edge 27 without reaching its relaxed position again, and therefore the profiles 5, 6 remain pressed against one another. Thereby, the profiles 5 and 6 are held together fixedly and without play.
The spring 15 projects in the lateral direction beyond the end edge 26 of the arm 9 by a distance corresponding to at least half the width tolerance of the inner container 1. It is thus ensured that, when the width of the inner container 1 is minimal within the tolerance, the profile 5 still has a space between the side walls of the inner container 1, and that, even at the maximum width of the inner container, the spring 15 is elastically biased at both ends of the profile 5 in contact with the side walls of the inner container 1 in order to center and fix the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 between the side walls.
A rear profile can be inserted onto the rear edge 7 of the plate 4 and in a similar manner, as described above for the front profile 5, can be latched onto the side profiles 6 in order to fix the plate all around. In the embodiment shown here, such a rear profile is missing, but instead the side profile 6 is closed at its rear end, as can be seen in the right-hand part of fig. 5, by a wall 28, so that the plate 4 is held essentially immovably in the depth direction between the wall 28 and the end face 8 of the front profile 5. Wall 28 may also be absent if the distance between rear edge 7 and the rear wall of inner container 1 is small enough in the assembled state that plate 4 cannot escape from groove 11 of front profile 5.
Fig. 6 shows a rear corner of the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 according to an alternative configuration in a perspective view. The spring 29 projecting laterally from the wall 23 of the side profile 6 (here partially received in the recess 38 of the wall 23) is elastically deformed in contact with the side wall of the inner container 1 in the assembled state. In order to support the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 at four points by the springs 15, 29, the front spring 15 must therefore not be able to relax, in that the refrigerated goods storage unit 2 is rotated about a vertical axis and the front profile 5 has an orientation which differs from the transverse direction of the inner container 1.
