Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及电缆连接领域。其中本发明的实施例涉及多个电缆连接头组成的阵列。
背景技术
电脑或者类似的装置通过连接以借助电脑网络分享和交换信息。常规电脑网络为局域网(“LAN”),其代表性的使用了数据通信协议(LAN标准),例如以太网(Ethernet)、光纤分布式数据接口(FDDI),或令牌环,其限定了通信体系结构中的物理层和数据传输器所起的作用(即,协议栈)。国际电气与电子工程师协会制定的802.11协议簇中的多种标准(“WiFi”)有望成为大多数用户的主要计算机网络协议。但是某些用户继续要求固网连接以符合特别的工业标准。可使用各种类型的电缆以实现固定网络,取决于使用的LAN标准,例如,尽管UTP(非屏蔽双绞线)布线对于以太网为常规手段,以太网协议也能通过使用50-或者70-欧姆的同轴电缆而实现。
在LAN标准下,交换机或者路由器为包含有多个端口的电脑,多个端口将交换机连接在局域网中或者局域网外的其他电脑上。通常,可将路由器放置在远离几个或所有其它电脑的位置以符合特殊的应用要求。例如,可将路由器放置在受控访问的位置,而其他电脑可被普通用户或者公众接入。相应地,或许有必要从使用者的位置到路由器的位置设置成捆的多芯电缆。由于各种原因,在没有混淆电缆与端口的对应关系的情况下,也有必要在路由器上周期性的断开或者重新连接电缆束。
发明内容
按照本发明的具体实施例,使用腔壳来快速地将多个同轴电缆连接头连接到路由器或类似装置上整齐定位的端口,或者从路由器或类似装置上整齐定位的端口拆除。
其中一个实施例中,腔壳包含有上壳体和下壳体,所述上壳体具有第一多元凹槽,所述下壳体具有第二多元凹槽。下壳体成型为与上壳体相互匹配。上壳体与下壳体彼此配合以形成集线室和电缆出口,并且第一多元凹槽与第二多元凹槽的配合形成多个连接腔以容纳电缆终端连接头,多个连接腔平行的从集线室布置到与电缆出口相对的腔壳前侧。
在另外一个实施例中,多芯电缆包括有多个导体,每个导体分别具有终端连接头;且腔壳包含有多个连接腔,每个连接腔分别支撑一个连接头,这些连接头彼此之间平行对齐。
鉴于结合附图对本发明优选实施例的具体描述,其目的、特征以及优点将会进一步的清晰化。

具体实施方式
本发明的实施例提供了一种如图1和图2所示的成组的腔壳10,以可靠地接收和支撑用来终结多芯电缆的芯线的同轴电缆连接头。本发明的腔壳10包含有上壳体12和下壳体14,在其前侧均具有凹槽15,上、下壳体的凹槽相互配合形成了一排连接腔16(如图2所示)。上壳体12和下壳体14能被固定在一起(例如,通过螺纹紧固件、铆钉、粘合剂、焊接、闩接等)以形成如图1所示的集线室18和电缆出口20。
为了使用腔壳10,将多芯同轴电缆22(如图1所示)设置于上壳体12或者下壳体14的电缆出口20中,且电缆的终端连接头24设置于连接腔16中,多芯电缆的光纤头26设置在集线室18内。在这种情况下,连接腔16平行对齐地支撑终端连接头24,从而可将所有的连接头同时连接到与之匹配的一排路由器端口或者与路由器端口断开。终端连接头24如图所示按照线性排列,或者按照其它现有的路由器端口排列方式构造。将上壳体12和下壳体14固定在一起以在连接腔16中支撑终端连接头24。
可选择地,一个或者多个凹槽15的内部标记有定位指示部28(例如,数字),该定位指示部28标识了什么电缆终端应该被设置在这个连接腔中。例如,在一典型实施例中,一四核处理器同轴电缆可携带四组不同的数据流从一个路由器的四个端口传递到网络内的四个不同电脑上。定位指示部28可指示技术员如何放置电缆终端连接头24,从而使得每一台电脑都能通过多芯电缆连接到与之相应的路由器端口上。
如果上壳体12或者下壳体14还具有一个或者多个方向标记部30,从而使得腔壳10能够合适地连接在成排的路由端口上。例如,上壳体12包含有塑料套管30a以宽松地容纳螺纹紧固件,下壳体14包括有塑料衬垫30b以通过螺纹夹紧螺纹紧固件。因此,如图2所示,螺纹紧固件的头部32在上壳体12上用作方向标记部,指示出了如何将腔壳10设置在路由器上。但是,在没有使用螺纹紧固件或者铆钉的实施例中,上壳体12的外表面可以成型有一个或者多个方向标记部。
在一些实施例中,上壳体12和下壳体14可包含有具有孔36的调整片34,孔36用于容纳紧固件,紧固件可将腔壳10保持到路由器本体(图中未示意出)。此外,相邻于调整片34,上壳体12和下壳体14的外壁38上具有凹形出口40,在凹形出口40处,腔壳10与电缆终端连接头24间隔开(即在凹形出口40处,连接腔16不接触支撑终端连接头24),以便减少模制壳体所需要的材料。在一些实施例中(图中未示出),凹形出口40可连续横穿腔壳10,以进一步减少模制壳体所需的材料,从而上壳体12和下壳体14的加强肋42在调整片34之间不相互接触。但是,足够的加强肋42须限定出凹槽15,从而使得终端连接头24被平行对齐地支撑。
尽管该发明通过其典型实施例被从细节上展示和描述,需要本领域技术人员理解的是,在不偏离本发明的保护范围以及主题精神的前提下,可以允许在其形式和细节上做出改进。
例如,仅通过改变连接腔的形状,可将腔壳10构造成用于容纳多种其它推拉式连接头阵列,例如8P8C,RJ45,USB,mini-DIN,模拟结构(D-sub),东芝连接(TOSLINK),企业系统连接(ESCON),光纤分布式数据接口(FDDI)等等。

Claims (11)

1.一种多芯电缆终端腔壳(10),其特征在于,包含有:
上壳体(12),具有第一多元凹槽(15);以及
下壳体(14),具有第二多元凹槽(15),且下壳体(14)成型为与上壳体(12)相互配合;
其中,上壳体与下壳体彼此配合形成集线室(18)和电缆出口(20),并且第一多元凹槽与第二多元凹槽的配合形成多个连接腔(16)以容纳电缆终端连接头(24),多个连接腔(16)平行且对齐地从集线室(18)延伸到与电缆出口(20)相对的腔壳前侧。
2.如权利要求1所述的多芯电缆终端腔壳,其特征在于,多个连接腔(16)成型为支撑同轴电缆终端连接头。
3.如权利要求1所述的多芯电缆终端腔壳,其特征在于,第一多元凹槽或第二多元凹槽中至少一个标记有定位指示部(28)。
4.如权利要求1所述的多芯电缆终端腔壳,其特征在于,上壳体或者下壳体中的至少一个标记有方向标记部(30)。
5.如权利要求1所述的多芯电缆终端腔壳,其特征在于,上壳体和下壳体通过螺纹紧固件(32)结合在一起。
6.如权利要求1所述的多芯电缆终端腔壳,其特征在于,上壳体和下壳体共同在腔壳上限定出至少一个凹形出口(40),凹形出口(40)与腔壳的前侧相邻。
7.一种多芯电缆(22),其特征在于,包括:
多个导体,每个导体分别具有终端连接头(24);以及
腔壳(10),包括有多个连接腔(16),每个连接腔分别支撑对应的终端连接头,终端连接头之间彼此平行对齐。
8.如权利要求7所述的多芯电缆,其中,导体为电导体。
9.如权利要求7所述的多芯电缆,其中,导体为光导体。
10.一种用于快速连接多根电缆于多个整齐排列的端口的方法,其特征在于,包括以下步骤:
提供一腔壳(10),该腔室限定了多个连接腔,多个连接腔与多个整齐排列的端口相互对应;
将多个电缆中的一个电缆的终端连接头(24)插入到多个连接腔中的一个;以及
将腔壳定位以将多个终端接头连接到多个整齐排列的端口。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,进一步包括以下步骤,根据腔壳上预先标记出的定位标记(28)插入终端连接头。
