技术领域
本发明涉及一种包括下压托架(hold down bracket)的电池组。
背景技术
由使用化石燃料例如汽油和柴油的车辆引起的最大问题之一是空气污染的产生。使用能够充电和放电的二次电池作为车辆电源的技术,作为解决上述问题的一种方法已吸引相当多的注意。结果,开发了仅通过使用电池来运行的电动车辆(EV)和联合使用电池和常规发动机的混合动力电动车辆(HEV)。一些电动车辆和混合动力电动车辆目前正被商业化使用。镍-金属氢化物(Ni-MH)二次电池已被主要用作电动车辆(EV)和混合动力电动车辆(HEV)的电源。然而,近年来,锂离子电池也已被使用。
为了使这样的二次电池用作电动车辆(EV)和混合动力电动车辆(HEV)的电源,需要高输出和大容量。为此,将多个小尺寸的二次电池(单元电池)彼此串联连接,以便形成电池模块和电池组。根据情况,将多个小尺寸的二次电池(单元电池)彼此串联地和并联地连接,以便形成电池模块和电池组。

在本发明中,所述电池模块中的每一个可以是电池单元本身或安装有两个或更多个电池单元的小尺寸模块。所述电池单元中的每一个可以是在有限空间内提供高堆叠比的板状电池单元。例如,所述电池单元中的每一个可以被构造成具有将电极组件安装在由层压板制成的电池壳体中的结构。
安装有两个或更多个电池单元的电池模块的实例公开在韩国专利申请号2006-12303中,所述申请已经以本申请的申请人的名义提交。在该专利申请的公开内容中,电池模块被构造成具有如下结构,其中在将所述电池单元布置成彼此紧密接触使得所述电池单元彼此面对的状态下,将两个电池单元安装到具有输入和输出端子的框架元件。
电池模块的另一个实例公开在韩国专利申请号2006-20772和2006-45444中,所述申请也已经以本申请的申请人的名义提交。在这些专利申请中的每一个的公开内容中,电池模块被构造成具有如下结构,其中在将所述二次电池布置成彼此紧密接触使得所述二次电池彼此面对的状态下,将两个二次电池的外侧用一对高强度电池盖覆盖。
上述专利申请的公开内容通过引用并入本文。然而,构成根据本发明的每个电池模块的电池单元中的每一个的结构当然不限于在上述专利申请中公开的电池模块的上述实例。
在具体实例中,所述电池模块中的每一个可以被构造成具有如下结构,其中两个或更多个单元模块被布置成使得所述单元模块彼此相邻,并且所述电池模块中的每一个的电池单元彼此串联连接,所述单元模块中的每一个包括安装在电池盒中的一个或多个电池单元。
更具体来说,所述电池盒可以被构造成具有位于所述电池盒的相反两侧处的框架结构,以固定所述电池单元的外边缘密封部分,并且所述向外突起可以形成在所述框架的一侧的下端或相反两侧的下端处。
在这种情形中,所述向外突起可以设有紧固孔,用于固定所述电池模块组件的紧固构件被插入到所述紧固孔中,例如通过钻孔形成的紧固孔,并且可以通过所述紧固构件实现所述电池单元之间的连接和固定。
此外,所述电池模块中的每一个可以包括被固定到所述下压托架的凹陷,所述下压托架被构造成具有如下结构,其中下压托架的一个侧面区域覆盖所述电池模块的向外突起,并且下压托架的另一个侧面区域联接到所述底板。所述下压托架可以设有固定部分,其被构造成与所述凹陷接合。因此,可以将所述电池模块稳定地固定到所述底板,以抵抗当向所述电池组施加外力时引起的所述电池组在前后方向上的振动。
一般来说,取决于应用有电池组的装置的类型,所述电池组被装载在所述装置的有限空间中。因此,重要的是将电池组构造成使得所述电池组可以在预定空间中提供最大容量。电池组的构造极大地依赖于构成大部分所述电池组的电池模块中的每一个的构造。
通常,在车辆的电池组中,电池组在车辆中的装载空间由于布置在具有高集成度的车辆中的车辆部件而受到限制。因此,电池组可能被装载在狭小空间中,例如限定在车辆的驾驶员座位与副座位之间的空间。为此,构成所述电池组的电池模块可以被构造成具有长方体结构或隧道式结构,其中所述电池模块的高度大于所述电池模块的宽度,并且所述电池模块在前后方向上的长度大于所述电池模块的高度。
因此,电池盒可以具有与所述电池盒在装置例如车辆中的装载位置相对应的尺寸和形状。例如,电池盒可以被构造成具有长方体结构,其中在所述电池盒装载在所述底板上的状态下,所述电池盒的高度大于所述电池盒的下端宽度。
同时,所述向外突起中的每一个的下部的至少一部分可以朝向所述电池模块向上倾斜,并且所述向外突起中的每一个可以在最下端处设有朝向所述底板突出的向下延伸部,使得形成在所述电池模块组件的下端处的所述向外突起可以被稳定地固定到所述底板。因此,所述下压托架被稳定地固定到所述底板。
此外,如上面提到的,所述电池模块组件的所述向外突起中的每一个可以设有凹陷,所述凹陷被构造成固定到所述下压托架,并且所述下压托架可以设有被构造成与所述凹陷接合的固定部分。因此,可以将所述电池模块组件稳定地固定到所述底板,以抵抗当向所述电池组施加外力时引起的所述电池组在前后方向上的振动。
同时,所述下压托架可以被构造成具有提高所述下压托架的刚性的结构以抵抗施加到所述下压托架的外部振动。例如,可以在所述下压托架的一个侧面区域与另一个侧面区域之间形成凸缘(bead),以便提高所述下压托架的刚性。
为了在所述下压托架与所述底板之间实现联接,所述下压托架可以在所述另一个侧面区域处设有一个或多个用于与所述底板联接的通孔,例如通过钻孔形成的通孔,并且可以将紧固构件通过所述通孔插入并紧固。
可以提供各种不同的紧固构件。例如,所述紧固构件可以是螺栓或螺钉。然而,本发明不限于此。
所述电池组可以进一步包括顶盖,在所述电池模块组件被装载到所述底板上的状态下,所述顶盖被联接到所述底板并同时覆盖所述电池模块组件。在将电池模块组件经由所述下压托架固定到所述底板的状态下,所述顶盖被联接到所述底板。
一般来说,所述电池单元中的每一个可以是锂离子电池或锂二次电池。然而,本发明不限于此。
作为参考,锂二次电池包括正极、负极、分隔物和含有锂盐的非水性电解质溶液。
所述正极可以例如通过向正极集电器涂覆正极活性材料、导电剂和粘合剂的混合物并干燥所述混合物来制造。在需要时,可以向所述混合物进一步添加填充剂。
正极活性材料可以是但不限于分层化合物,例如锂钴氧化物(LiCoO2)或锂镍氧化物(LiNiO2)或由一种或多种过渡金属替代的化合物;由化学式Li1+xMn2-xO4(其中x=0至0.33)表示的锂锰氧化物或诸如LiMnO3、LiMn2O3或LiMnO2的锂锰氧化物;锂铜氧化物(Li2CuO2);钒氧化物,例如LiV3O8、LiFe3O4、V2O5或Cu2V2O7;由化学式LiNi1-xMxO2(其中M=Co、Mn、Al、Cu、Fe、Mg、B或Ga,并且x=0.01至0.3)表示的Ni位点取代的锂镍氧化物;由化学式LiMn2-xMxO2(其中M=Co、Ni、Fe、Cr、Zn或Ta,并且x=0.01至0.1)或化学式Li2Mn3MO8(其中M=Fe、Co、Ni、Cu或Zn)表示的锂锰复合氧化物;化学式中的Li被碱土金属离子部分取代的LiMn2O4;二硫化物化合物;或Fe2(MoO4)3。
通常添加导电剂以使所述导电剂具有以包括所述正极活性材料的化合物的总重量计1至30重量%。对导电剂没有特别限制,只要所述导电剂表现出高导电性而所述导电剂在施加有所述导电剂的电池中不引起任何化学变化。例如,石墨如天然石墨或人造石墨,炭黑类如炭黑、乙炔黑、科琴黑、槽法炭黑、炉法炭黑、灯黑或夏日黑(summer black),导电纤维如碳纤维或金属纤维,金属粉末如氟化碳粉末、铝粉末或镍粉末,导电晶须如氧化锌或钛酸钾,导电金属氧化物如氧化钛或聚苯衍生物,可以用作导电剂。
粘合剂是协助活性材料与导电剂之间的粘合以及与集电器的粘合的组分。粘合剂通常以包括所述正极活性材料的化合物的总重量计1至30重量%的量添加。作为粘合剂的实例,可以使用聚偏氟乙烯、聚乙烯醇、羧甲基纤维素(CMC)、淀粉、羟丙基纤维素、再生纤维素、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、四氟乙烯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、乙烯-丙烯-二烯三元共聚物(EPDM)、磺化的EPDM、苯乙烯丁二烯橡胶、氟橡胶和各种不同共聚物。
填充剂是用于抑制正极膨胀的可选组分。对填充剂没有特别限制,只要它不在施加有所述填充剂的电池中引起化学变化并且由纤维状材料制成。作为填充剂的实例,可以使用的是烯烃聚合物例如聚乙烯和聚丙烯,以及纤维状材料例如玻璃纤维和碳纤维。
另一方面,负极可以通过向负极集电器施加负极活性材料并将该负极活性材料干燥来制造。在需要时,可以选择性地向负极活性材料添加上述组分。
作为负极活性材料,例如,可以使用碳,诸如非石墨化碳或石墨基碳,金属复合氧化物如LixFe2O3(0≤x≤1)、LixWO2(0≤x≤1)、SnxMe1-xMe’yOz(Me:Mn、Fe、Pb、Ge;Me’:Al、B、P、Si、周期表的1、2和3族元素、卤素;0≤x≤1;1≤y≤3;1≤z≤8);锂金属;锂合金;硅基合金;锡基合金;金属氧化物,例如SnO、SnO2、PbO、PbO2、Pb2O3、Pb3O4、Sb2O3、Sb2O4、Sb2O5、GeO、GeO2、Bi2O3、Bi2O4或Bi2O5;导电聚合物例如聚乙炔;或Li-Co-Ni基材料。
分隔物被插入到正极与负极之间。作为分隔物,例如,可以使用表现出高离子渗透性和高机械强度的绝缘薄膜。分隔物一般具有0.1至10μm的孔径和5至300μm的厚度。作为用于分隔物的材料,例如,使用由表现出耐化学性和疏水性的烯烃聚合物例如聚丙烯、玻璃纤维或聚乙烯制成的片材或无织物。在使用固体电解质例如聚合物作为电解质的情形中,所述固体电解质也可以起到分隔物的作用。
含有锂盐的非水性电解质溶液由极性有机电解质溶液和锂盐构成。作为电解质溶液,可以使用非水性液体电解质溶液、有机固体电解质或无机固体电解质。
作为非水性液体电解质溶液的实例,可以提到的是非质子性有机溶剂例如N-甲基-2-吡咯烷酮、碳酸丙二酯、碳酸乙二酯、碳酸丁二酯、碳酸二甲酯、碳酸二乙酯、γ-丁内酯、1,2-二甲氧基乙烷、四羟基Franc、2-甲基四氢呋喃、二甲亚枫、1,3-二氧戊环、甲酰胺、二甲基甲酰胺、二氧戊环、乙腈、硝基甲烷、甲酸甲酯、乙酸甲酯、磷酸三酯、三甲氧基甲烷、二氧戊环衍生物、环丁砜、甲基环丁砜、1,3-二甲基-2-咪唑烷酮、碳酸丙二酯衍生物、四氢呋喃衍生物、醚、丙酸甲酯和丙酸乙酯。
作为有机固体电解质的实例,可以提到的是聚乙烯衍生物、聚氧化乙烯衍生物、聚氧化丙烯衍生物、磷酸酯聚合物、聚搅拌赖氨酸、聚酯硫化物、聚乙烯醇、聚偏氟乙烯和含有离子解离基团的聚合物。
作为无机固体电解质的实例,可以提到的是锂(Li)的氮化物、卤化物和硫酸盐,例如Li3N、LiI、Li5NI2、Li3N-LiI-LiOH、LiSiO4、LiSiO4-LiI-LiOH、Li2SiS3、Li4SiO4、Li4SiO4-LiI-LiOH和Li3PO4-Li2S-SiS2。
锂盐是能够容易溶解在上述非水性电解质中的材料,并且锂盐可以包括例如LiCl、LiBr、LiI、LiClO4、LiBF4、LiB10Cl10、LiPF6、LiCF3SO3、LiCF3CO2、LiAsF6、LiSbF6、LiAlCl4、CH3SO3Li、CF3SO3Li、(CF3SO2)2NLi、氯硼烷锂、低级脂族羧酸锂、四苯基硼酸锂和酰亚胺。
此外,为了改善充电放电特性以及阻燃性,例如,可以向非水性电解质溶液添加吡啶、三乙基膦、三乙醇胺、环状醚、乙二胺、n-甘醇二甲醚、六磷酸三酰胺、硝基苯衍生物、硫、醌亚胺染料、N-取代的噁唑烷酮、N,N-取代的咪唑烷酮、乙二醇二烷基醚、铵盐、吡咯、2-甲氧基乙醇、三氯化铝等。根据情况,为了赋予不可燃性,非水性电解质溶液可以进一步包括含卤素溶剂,例如四氯化碳和三氟乙烯。此外,为了提高高温保持特性,非水性电解质溶液可以进一步包括二氧化碳气体。
根据本发明的另一方面,提供了一种包括具有上述构造的电池组作为电源的装置。所述车辆可以选自电动车辆、混合动力电动车辆和插电式混合动力电动车辆。
所述装置的结构和制造所述装置的方法在本发明所述领域中是公知的,因此其详细描述将被省略。
本发明的有益效果
正如从上面的描述明显看出的,根据本发明的电池组包括下压托架,以将构成电池模块组件的电池模块适当固定到底板。因此,本发明具有稳定地固定所述电池模块并使由于在向所述电池组施加外力时引起的电池组在前后方向上的振动所造成的电池组的内部变形最小化的效果。

具体实施方式
现在,将参考附图详细描述本发明的示例性实施例。然而,应该指出,本发明的范围不受示出的实施例限制。
图2是典型地示出了根据本发明的实施方式的电池组的分解透视图,图3是典型地示出了根据本发明的实施方式的电池模块和下压托架的透视图。
参考这些图,电池组200包括:电池模块组件210,其被构造成具有如下结构,即:两个或更多个电池模块211被布置成使得所述电池模块彼此相邻,并且在每个电池模块211的相反两侧的下端处形成有向外突起220,其中每个所述电池模块包括以直立状态布置的电池单元(未示出),使得所述电池单元的电极端子向上指向;底板230,电池模块组件210被装载在所述底板的顶部上;以及下压托架240,其一个侧面区域覆盖电池模块211的向外突起220,另一个侧面区域联接到底板230,以便将电池模块组件210的各电池模块211适当地固定到底板230。
由于布置在车辆中的车辆部件具有高集成度,因此车辆中电池组200的装载空间有限。因此,构成电池组200的电池模块组件210具有下述结构,在所述结构中,电池模块组件210的高度H大于电池模块组件210的宽度W,并且电池模块组件210在前后方向上的长度L大于电池模块组件210的高度H,使得电池模块组件210可以装载到车辆的驾驶员座位与副座之间限定的狭小空间中。电池组200被构造成具有与电池模块组件210的结构相对应的长方体结构。
构成电池模块组件210的每个电池模块211被构造成具有下述结构,在所述结构中电池单元被横向布置,使得电池单元彼此相邻,并且将电池单元横向堆叠,使得每个电池单元被固定到电池盒250。将电池单元横向布置,使得电池单元的电极端子向上突起,并将电池盒250构造成具有框架结构,以固定每个电池单元的外边缘密封部分。
固定下压托架240的向外突起220和凹陷260形成在电池盒250的相反两侧的下端处。此外,在电池盒250的相反两侧的下端处通过钻孔进一步形成紧固孔280,用于固定电池模块组件210的紧固构件(未示出)被插入到所述紧固孔中。因此,将紧固构件插入到紧固孔280中以固定电池模块组件210,所述电池模块组件被构造成具有将电池盒250堆叠成使电池盒250横向布置的结构。
下压托架240设有固定部分270,其被构造成与凹陷260接合。固定部分270的数目和形状对应于凹陷260的数目和形状。在下压托架240的一侧与另一侧之间形成有凸缘结构290,以相对于施加到下压托架240的外部振动而提高下压托架240的刚性。
此外,下压托架240设有通孔281和282,以用于与底板230联接。通孔281和282通过钻孔形成。紧固构件(未示出)通过通孔281和282插入并紧固。
图4是典型示出了联接有本发明的实施方式的下压托架的电池模块的侧面透视图,图5和6分别是沿着图4的直线A-A’和B-B’获取的截面图。
参考这些图,向外突起220的下部朝向电池模块211向上倾斜,并且在向外突起220的最下端处形成朝向底板230突出的向下延伸部300,使得向外突起220可以被稳定地固定到底板230。因此,下压托架240被稳定地固定到底板230。
如图5的C所指示的,下压托架240的固定部分270形成为使固定部分270被布置成与向外突起220的凹陷260紧密接触的形状。在未形成固定部分270的区域中,如图6的D所指示,下压托架240形成为使下压托架240被布置成与向外突起220的外侧紧密接触的形状。因此,能够防止电池模块211的移动。
尽管出于说明的目的公开了本发明的示例性实施例,但本领域技术人员将会认识到,在不脱离本发明的如所附的权利要求书中所公开的范围和精神的前提下,可以进行各种不同的变型、添加和替换。
Claims (23)
1.一种电池组,包括:
电池模块组件,所述电池模块组件被构造成具有如下结构,即:两个或更多个电池模块被布置成使得所述电池模块彼此相邻,并且在所述电池模块中的每一个的一侧的下端或相反两侧的下端处形成有向外突起,其中所述电池模块中的每一个包括以直立状态布置的电池单元,使得所述电池单元的电极端子向上指向;
底板,所述电池模块组件被装载在所述底板的顶部上;以及
下压托架,所述下压托架的一个侧面区域覆盖所述电池模块的所述向外突起,另一个侧面区域联接到所述底板,以便将所述电池模块组件的各电池模块适当地固定到所述底板。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,其中,所述电池单元中的每一个是板状电池单元。
3.根据权利要求2所述的电池组,其中,所述电池单元中的每一个被构造成具有将电极组件安装在层压电池壳体中的结构。
4.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,其中,所述电池模块中的每一个被构造成具有如下结构,即:两个或更多个单元模块被布置成使得所述单元模块彼此相邻,所述单元模块中的每一个包括安装在电池盒中的一个或多个电池单元。
5.根据权利要求4所述的电池组,其中,所述电池模块中的每一个的电池单元彼此串联连接。
6.根据权利要求4所述的电池组,其中,所述电池盒被构造成具有位于所述电池盒的相反两侧处的框架结构,以固定所述电池单元的外边缘密封部分。
7.根据权利要求6所述的电池组,其中,所述向外突起形成在所述框架的一侧的下端或相反两侧的下端处。
8.根据权利要求7所述的电池组,其中,所述向外突起设有紧固孔,用于固定所述电池模块组件的紧固构件被插入到所述紧固孔中。
9.根据权利要求7所述的电池组,其中,在各个向外突起之间形成有凹陷,所述凹陷被构造成固定到所述下压托架。
10.根据权利要求9所述的电池组,其中,所述下压托架设有固定部分,所述固定部分被构造成与所述凹陷接合。
11.根据权利要求4所述的电池组,其中,在所述电池盒装载在所述底板上的状态下,所述电池盒的高度大于所述电池盒的下端宽度。
12.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,其中,所述向外突起中的每一个的下部的至少一部分朝向所述电池模块向上倾斜。
13.根据权利要求12所述的电池组,其中,在所述向外突起中的每一个的最下端处设有朝向所述底板突出的向下延伸部。
14.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,其中,所述向外突起中的每一个设有凹陷,所述凹陷被构造成固定到所述下压托架,并且所述下压托架设有固定部分,所述固定部分被构造成与所述凹陷接合。
15.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,其中,在所述下压托架的所述一个侧面区域与所述另一个侧面区域之间形成有凸缘。
16.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,其中,在所述下压托架的所述另一个侧面区域处设有一个或多个通孔,以用于与所述底板联接。
17.根据权利要求16所述的电池组,其中,紧固构件穿过所述通孔而被插入并紧固。
18.根据权利要求17所述的电池组,其中,所述紧固构件是螺栓或螺钉。
19.根据权利要求1所述的电池组,进一步包括顶盖,在所述电池模块组件被装载到所述底板上的状态下,所述顶盖被联接到所述底板同时覆盖所述电池模块组件。
20.一种车辆,包括作为电源的根据权利要求1至19中任一项所述的电池组。
21.根据权利要求20所述的车辆,其中,所述车辆是电动车辆。
22.根据权利要求20所述的车辆,其中,所述车辆是混合动力电动车辆。
23.根据权利要求20所述的车辆,其中,所述车辆是插电式混合动力电动车辆。
