Abstract

The invention relates to a device in a motor vehicle comprising at least one electronic drive control unit for electronically controlling a plate which is substantially flush with the outer surface of a tailgate in its rest position. The plate is movable from a rest position to a handle-like protruding position (preferably at a predetermined angle). The electronic drive control unit is designed such that it detects an opening command of the tailgate opening switch and, in the presence of the opening command, moves the plate from its rest position into the protruding position. Preferably, the emblem is designed as a plate and at the same time functions as an anti-contamination protection for the reversing camera.

The present invention relates generally to a device in a motor vehicle, comprising at least one electronic drive control unit for an auxiliary actuating mechanism for opening a tailgate.
Background
In a BMW series vehicle, for example, the following auxiliary operating mechanism for opening a rear cover is known:
1) in the form of automatic, remotely controllable opening and lifting devices, or
2) In the form of an opening switch integrated in the downwardly directed tailgate handle.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide an auxiliary actuation mechanism for opening a tailgate/tailgate, in particular without an automatic lifting device and without a mechanical handle.
To this end, the invention provides a device in a motor vehicle, comprising at least one electronic drive control unit for electronically controlling a plate which is substantially flush with the outer surface of the tailgate in its rest position, said plate being movable from the rest position into a handle-like protruding position, wherein the electronic drive control unit is designed such that it detects an opening command of the tailgate opening switch and, in the presence of the opening command, moves the plate from its rest position into the protruding position.
The invention also relates to a device in a motor vehicle, comprising at least one electronic drive control unit for electronically controlling a panel which, in its rest position, is substantially flush with the outer surface of the tailgate. The plate is movable from a rest position to a handle-like protruding position (preferably at a predetermined angle). The electronic drive control unit is designed such that it detects an opening command of the tailgate opening switch and, in the presence of the opening command, moves the plate from its rest position into the protruding position. Preferably, the emblem plate functions as a plate design according to the invention and/or the plate at the same time as a contamination protection for the reversing camera.
Emblems are known per se, for example from the applicant's vehicle, as an anti-contamination protection for reversing cameras. In this case, the emblem is set to an adjustment when the reverse gear is engaged, in order to release the reversing camera.
The invention now sets for: if it is desired to open the tailgate while preventing soiling of the fingers, the panel is caused to protrude on the basis of an already existing panel of this kind, either by means of a separate device for displacing the tailgate body panel, which is handle-like or can be used as a handle.
The invention further proposes the following preferred design:
the plate is arranged for contamination protection of the camera;
the duration of the displacement of the plate from its rest position into the protruding position depends on some determined signal, alone or in combination, which can generally occur as a function of the opening command;
the displacement of the plate from its rest position into the protruding position is maintained at least so long: until the tailgate is lifted beyond a predetermined minimum opening and/or until the tailgate is closed again and/or until a predetermined time (e.g., 10 seconds) has elapsed;
the panel is a rear deck-body section;
the plate is a logo plate;
the plate being movable about an axis of rotation;
the opening instruction can be emitted by a rear cover opening switch on a remote control and can be detected wirelessly by the electronic drive control unit;
the opening command can be emitted by a tailgate opening switch in the vehicle interior and can be detected by the electronic drive control unit via an electrical connection.

Detailed Description
In the drawing, a front view of a logo plate as a movable plate 1 according to the invention is shown in the upper left position. In the upper right position a side view of the plate 1 is shown. In its stop position P0, the panel 1 is substantially flush with the outer surface of the tailgate, which is not further shown here. The plate is rotatably supported about a rotation axis 7 by a displacement adjustment unit 6. The displacement regulating unit 6 can be controlled by means of an electronic drive control unit 2. The plate 1 is movable from its stop position P0 into a handle-like protruding position P1 by means of the drive control unit 2, the displacement adjusting unit 6 and the axis of rotation 7. The plate 1 is preferably also provided for contamination protection of the camera.
The displacement of the panel 1 into the protruding position P1 may for example be kept at least so long: until the tailgate is lifted beyond a predetermined minimum opening or until the tailgate is closed again or until a predetermined time (e.g., 10 seconds) has elapsed after manipulation by the opening command a. Device in a motor vehicle, comprising at least one electronic drive control unit (2) for electronically controlling a plate (1) which is essentially flush with the outer surface of the tailgate in its rest position (P0), said plate being movable from the rest position into a handle-like protruding position (P1), wherein the electronic drive control unit (2) is designed such that it detects an opening command (A) of a tailgate opening switch (4; 5) and, in the presence of the opening command (A), moves the plate (1) from its rest position (P0) into the protruding position (P1), the plate (1) forming a handle for opening the tailgate in the protruding position (P1).
2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the plate (1) is arranged for contamination protection of the camera.
3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the duration of the displacement of the plate (1) from its stop position (P0) into the protruding position (P1) depends on certain signals, alone or in combination, which can normally occur in accordance with the opening command (a).
