Abstract

Description
本申请是名称为“LED设备中的屏蔽构件”、国际申请日为2008年5月2日、国际申请号为PCT/US2008/005854、国家申请号为200880014626.0的发明专利申请的分案申请。
技术领域
本发明大体上涉及照明系统领域,更具体地涉及用于利用LED(发光二极管)源朝向优选侧以预定光强图案照亮区域的照明设备。
背景技术
不断需求低成本且节能的照明设备。LED提供节能的光源,并且随着时间的推移LED技术的进步正在提供更高的效率。利用LED作为光源的一个优点只不过是这种光源的小尺寸转化成包含这种光源的灯具中的低材料用量,从而带来附随的成本效益。
各种用途的照明系统的优选性能要求涉及不期望照明区域中的“光溢出”的自由度。例如,优选的是道路和停车场照明系统在待照明区域上具有优异的光分布,但是相邻区域尽可能免于照明。更具体地说,在向道路或停车场提供照明时,需要能够同时向下和优选横向方向引导光而避免相邻房产上的侵入照明。当利用LED作为光源时可能难以解决此类担忧,尤其是在单个灯具中利用许多LED的情况下更是如此。
已研制出具有光屏蔽的各种LED灯具。在以下的美国专利中公开了这种现有技术灯具的实例:专利No.7,019,334(Yatsuda等)、专利No.6,972,439(Kim等)以及专利公报No.US 2006/0175626(Wall Jr.)和US 2006/0158080(Nakano等)。
具有屏蔽的现有技术的LED灯具具有本发明要解决的某些缺点和不足。具体地说,需要带有定向屏蔽的改进LED灯具,所述定向屏蔽便于精确制造同时具有改进光分布效果(包括避免非优选侧光分布)。理想的是,制造成本经济的带定向屏蔽的LED灯具能够沿优选方向在大照明区域提供高水平输出,同时最小化沿非优选方向的光。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供带定向屏蔽的LED照明设备,其克服了现有技术的包括以上涉及的某些问题和缺点。
本发明的另一目的是提供包括多LED灯具的带定向屏蔽的LED照明设备,该定向屏蔽性质上便于精确制造。
本发明的又一目的是提供带定向屏蔽的LED照明设备,其具有以上优点和改进的光分布效果,包括避免非优选侧的光分布。
本发明的再一目的是提供带定向屏蔽的LED照明设备,该定向屏蔽特别适于向道路和停车场之类的大照明区域提供高水平光输出的LED灯具。
本发明的另一目的是提供带定向屏蔽的LED照明设备,其具有以成本经济的方式利用上述型式的屏蔽引导光的上述优点。
从以下说明和附图将会清楚本发明的这些和其它目的。
本发明是一种用于沿向下和向外方向朝向优选侧的改进照明的LED设备。该设备为这样的类型,其包括:安装板;该安装板上的具有主透镜的LED封装,所述主透镜具有中央轴线;以及副透镜构件,其位于所述主透镜上方并且在二者之间建立光路。本发明的该改进设备包括位于所述安装板、LED封装和副透镜构件上方的层形式的屏蔽构件,该屏蔽构件具有屏蔽部及其周围的大致平坦的非屏蔽部。
在某些优选实施方式中,所述屏蔽构件具有与所述光路对准的屏蔽构件孔,所述屏蔽部界定该屏蔽构件孔。最优选的是,所述副透镜构件包括透镜部及其周围的凸缘;并且所述屏蔽部在所述副透镜构件的透镜部的一部分上方延伸。非常希望的是,所述屏蔽构件具有与所述光路对准的屏蔽构件孔,所述屏蔽部界定该屏蔽构件孔。
优选的是,所述副透镜构件是非对称的并具有这样的照明图案,该照明图案具有优选侧和非优选侧。所述屏蔽部定位成拦截所述非优选侧上的光。优选实施方式包括相对于所述副透镜构件、所述主透镜和所述LED封装固定所述屏蔽构件的罩。所述罩具有与所述光路对准的开口。
优选实施方式包括夹持在所述罩与所述副透镜构件的凸缘之间的屏蔽构件。优选的是,所述副透镜构件的凸缘抵靠所述安装板。当所述罩被固定就位时,所述屏蔽构件的非屏蔽部以及所述副透镜构件的凸缘被夹持。
在某些实施方式中,在所述屏蔽构件与所述副透镜之间布置弹性衬垫。最优选的是,所述屏蔽部具有面向所述副透镜的反射表面。
在非常优选的实施方式中,所述LED封装、副透镜构件和屏蔽部为多个LED封装、多个副透镜构件和多个屏蔽部。优选的是,所述LED封装在所述安装板上相互隔开。非常优选的是,各副透镜构件均位于对应LED封装的主透镜上方,各主透镜/副透镜构件对建立光路并具有中央轴线。还优选的是,存在所述屏蔽构件的多个屏蔽部。各屏蔽部均局部定位在各主透镜/副透镜构件对上方,从而拦截从对应LED封装发射的一部分光。
用于沿向下和向外方向朝向优选侧照明的LED设备在一些实施方式中可包括安装板以及其上的具有主透镜的LED封装,该主透镜具有中央轴线。该改进设备包括位于安装板和LED封装上方的层形式的屏蔽构件。所述屏蔽构件具有屏蔽部及其周围的大致平坦的非屏蔽部。
这里所用的术语“向下”是为了方便本发明及其方面的描述,而不以任何方式规定设备沿任何取向的使用。换言之,“向下”不由重力方向限制。因而,若包含这里公开的本发明的光引导LED设备的灯具向上而非向下取向,或者沿某一横向取向方向,则术语“向下”含有这样的意义。由于本发明设备的重要应用为从竖直光柱照明地面,因而使用了术语“向下”。注意,附图基本上将这样的“向下”方向示出为大致向上,因为在立体图中副透镜的复合外透镜表面的形象在这样的取向最佳清楚可见。
这里所用的术语“LED封装”是指包括基底、基底上的至少一个LED(有时称为“模(die)”)以及模上方的主透镜的组件。一个或多个——通常为几个——LED封装设置在安装板上而形成称为“LED模块”的形式。一个或多个LED模块用作各种创新灯具的光源。
本发明设备的最典型应用是用于将多个此种装置设置在所谓的LED模块上时,在灯具内使用一个或多个LED模块以实现期望的照明。道路和停车场为这样的应用,不过还存在此种装置的多种其它应用。

具体实施方式
图1-4和图9示出用于沿向下方向48和向外方向49朝向优选侧36照明的LED设备10。LED设备10包括:安装板12;该安装板上的具有主透镜16的LED封装14,该主透镜16具有中央轴线18;以及副透镜构件20,其位于主透镜16上方并在二者之间建立光路22。如图1和图2所示,安装板12连接至散热片54。一个或多个(通常为几个)LED封装14布置在安装板12上而形成所谓的LED模块58。一个或多个LED模块58用作各种创新灯具。
如图3中所示,层形式的屏蔽构件24位于安装板12、LED封装14以及副透镜构件20上方。屏蔽构件24具有屏蔽部26及其周围的基本平坦的非屏蔽部28,如图6中所见。图5和图6示出屏蔽构件24具有与光路22对准的屏蔽构件孔30,屏蔽部26界定屏蔽构件孔30。
如图7和图8中所示,副透镜20包括基本透明的透镜部32及其周围的凸缘部34。透镜部32与凸缘部34相邻,如图7和图8中所示。屏蔽部26在副透镜构件20的一部分上方延伸。副透镜构件20是非对称的,并具有照明图案50,该照明图案50具有优选侧36和非优选侧38,如图9-11中所示。屏蔽部26定位成拦截非优选侧38上的光。
在图10和图11中,副透镜20限定由附图标记36表示的优选侧。图10和图11还以附图标记38表示朝向相反的非优选侧38的方向。
图10和图11示出包含LED封装14、单个主透镜16以及单个副透镜20的实施方式的二维光强分布50。利用光线跟踪软件模拟从LED设备10中发出的照度而产生图10和图11中的图案50。
图11中的照明图案50的亮度示出利用屏蔽构件层24的相对强度分布,表明从设备10发出的很大比例的光被设备10的屏蔽构件层24朝向优选侧36重新引导,并且非优选侧38上仅有少量侵入光。图10示出在不存在屏蔽构件层24的情况下的相对强度分布,表明来自设备10的光不受阻挡,从而在非优选侧38上产生大量侵入光。
图1-4示出罩40相对于副透镜20、主透镜16及LED封装14固定屏蔽构件24。罩40具有与光路22对准的开口42,如图1-3中所示。屏蔽构件24被夹持在罩40与副透镜构件20的凸缘34之间。
如图6中所示,当罩40被固定就位时,屏蔽构件24的非屏蔽部28和副透镜构件20的凸缘34被夹持。在某些实施方式中,副透镜20的凸缘34抵靠安装板12被夹持。
在某些实施方式中,如图6中所示,屏蔽构件24的屏蔽部26具有面向副透镜构件20的反射表面44。在LED设备10的另一实施方式中,封闭屏障构件层——例如衬垫46——被夹持在屏蔽构件24与副透镜构件20之间,如图3所示。在LED设备10的再一实施方式中,铝层56被夹持在安装板12与副透镜20之间,如图3中所见。
LED设备10可仅由安装板12上的一个LED封装14以及对应的主透镜16、副透镜构件20和屏蔽构件24构成,或者由安装板12上的多个LED封装14以及对应的主透镜16、副透镜构件20和屏蔽构件24构成。
在图3中所示的某些实施方式中,多个LED封装14在安装板12上相互隔开。在某些实施方式中还存在多个副透镜构件20,如图3中所示。各副透镜构件20位于对应的LED封装14的主透镜16上方。各主透镜/副透镜构件对52建立光路22,并具有中央轴线18,如图6中所示。在某些实施方式中还存在屏蔽构件24的多个屏蔽部26,如图3中所示。如图3和图6中所示,各屏蔽部26均局部位于各主透镜/副透镜构件对52上方,从而拦截从对应的LED封装14发射的一部分光路22。
这里论述和示出的多个部件可应用宽范围材料。尽管已根据具体实施方式描述了该设备的原理,然而应当清楚地知道这些描述仅以示例方式做出,并不意图限制本发明的范围。
Claims (13)
1.一种LED设备,其用于沿向下方向和向外方向朝向优选侧照明,所述LED设备包括:(a)安装板;和(b)该安装板上的LED装置,
所述LED设备还包括:
非对称的透镜构件,其具有位于所述LED装置上方的透镜部并且与所述LED装置建立光路,所述透镜构件具有包括优选侧和非优选侧的照明图案;以及
位于所述安装板、LED装置和透镜构件上方的层形式的屏蔽构件,所述屏蔽构件具有与所述光路对准的屏蔽构件孔、界定所述屏蔽构件孔的屏蔽部、以及大致平坦的非屏蔽部,所述屏蔽部在所述透镜部的一部分上方延伸。
2.按照权利要求1所述的LED设备,其特征在于:
所述LED装置是包括主透镜的LED封装;
所述透镜构件是与所述主透镜建立光路的副透镜构件。
3.按照权利要求2所述的LED设备,其特征在于,所述LED设备还包括相对于所述副透镜构件和所述LED封装固定所述屏蔽构件的罩。

在所述安装板上相互隔开的多个LED装置;
多个所述透镜构件,各透镜构件均位于对应LED装置上方,各透镜构件/LED装置对建立光路;以及
所述屏蔽构件的多个屏蔽部,各屏蔽部均局部位于各透镜构件上方,以拦截从对应LED装置发射的一部分光。
10.按照权利要求9所述的LED设备,其特征在于:
所述多个LED装置是多个LED封装,每个LED封装均包括主透镜;
所述多个透镜构件是多个副透镜构件,各副透镜构件均位于对应LED封装的主透镜上方,各主透镜/副透镜构件对建立光路。
11.按照权利要求10所述的LED设备,其特征在于,对于所述屏蔽构件的各屏蔽部,屏蔽构件孔与对应光路对准,并且所述屏蔽部界定所述屏蔽构件孔。
12.按照权利要求10所述的LED设备,其特征在于,所述LED设备还包括相对于所述副透镜构件和所述LED封装固定所述屏蔽构件的罩。
