Abstract

技术领域

背景技术
由临床医师、科学家和其他人培养微生物或细胞所使用的典型皮氏培养皿是尺寸不同的浅的聚苯乙烯塑料有盖培养皿。皮氏培养皿通常以二十只培养皿的包装出售,其中每只培养皿直接堆叠在彼此的顶上并且被塑料套围绕。图1中显示包含在塑料套中的皮氏培养皿的现有技术包装的图解。

发明内容
本发明通过提供一种改进的皮氏培养皿扁平包装(“扁平包”)和生产所述包装以便延长所述皮氏培养皿的货架期和保存的方法来实现这种需要。
在一个方面,本发明提供了一种含有多个皮氏培养皿的用于延长其货架期及保存的扁平包装,所述扁平包装由一种光学透明、高阻隔、防潮、防气和抗微生物的小袋组成。小袋具有含有固定于其中的多个皮氏培养皿的内腔,在所述内腔中所述多个皮氏培养皿的每一个彼此相邻定位。所述小袋的透明性和其中皮氏培养皿的固定允许皮氏培养皿的货架期延长和无菌性保持、破损率大大降低,并且增强每个皮氏培养皿的可视性,所述可视性增强允许使用者容易地检查每个皮氏培养皿的污染和/或破裂。
在另一个方面,本发明提供了一种生产含有多个皮氏培养皿的用于延长其货架期及保存的扁平包装的方法。该方法包括获得无菌、光学透明、高阻隔、防潮、防气和抗微生物的小袋,将多个无菌皮氏培养皿插入小袋的内腔内部,在所述内腔中每个皮氏培养皿与另一个皮氏培养皿相邻定位,向所述小袋的内腔施加真空以便从小袋排空空气,任选地用惰性气体冲洗小袋的内腔,并且将小袋热密封。
在一个实施例中,扁平包装具有易开装置,如拉链锁。

小袋可以由目视清澈的透明塑性材料组成,所述塑性材料是例如而不限于聚丙烯、定向聚丙烯(OPP)、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)或它们的组合。

根据本发明的扁平包装维持无菌并且向包含在其中的皮氏培养皿提供至少十二个月的货架期。

现在参考附图,图2显示了根据本发明的多个皮氏培养皿12的扁平包装10。扁平包装10包括多个皮氏培养皿12被包含并且固定在其中的小袋14。如在图3和4中所示,小袋14具有内腔17,其具有定位在其中的多个皮氏培养皿12的每一个。多个皮氏培养皿12的每一个与另一个皮氏培养皿12相邻定位,其间具有非常小的间隔16(最佳地显示在图3中)。

本发明还提供了一种生产用于延长皮氏培养皿保存的皮氏培养皿扁平包装的方法。该方法包括以下步骤:提供无菌、光学透明、高阻隔、防潮、防气和抗微生物的小袋,将多个无菌皮氏培养皿插入小袋的内腔内部,在所述内腔中每个皮氏培养皿与另一个皮氏培养皿相邻定位,向所述小袋的内腔施加真空以便从小袋的内腔排空空气,任选地用惰性气体冲洗小袋的内腔,并且然后将小袋热密封。
真空包装(Vacuum packing)或真空包装(vacuum packaging)是在密封之前从包装中移除空气的包装方法。典型地将它用来从容器中移除氧气以延伸其中的内容物的货架期并且限制需氧细菌和真菌的生长。可以使用能够降低小袋内腔内部的空气压力至大约0.5毫巴的任何适合的真空装置(例如而不限于,真空腔)而实现根据本发明的真空包装。在排空之后,可以用惰性气体(如氮气)冲洗小袋。在用惰性气体冲洗之后,将小袋热密封。适合的热密封方法可以包括而不限于气动热密封方法。

因此,本发明提供了胜过现有技术的皮氏培养皿包装的以下显著优点和改进:(1)容易看见和检查每个皮氏培养皿的缺陷或污染的能力,这与现有技术的堆叠的皮氏培养皿包装相反,其中处在堆叠体顶部和底部之间的平皿的可视性非常有限(参见图1);(2)皮氏培养皿的缓冲作用增加,原因在于并排安置每个皮氏培养皿,而不是直接在彼此顶部上安置;和(3)大大降低的在扁平包装中的皮氏培养皿的移动性,原因在于插入皮氏培养皿之后将扁平包装真空包装,这与未经真空包装并且因此并非不活动的现有技术的皮氏培养皿包装相反。由本发明提供的皮氏培养皿的不动性基本上消除了在扁平包装中的皮氏培养皿的破裂。
根据本发明的皮氏培养皿扁平包装允许皮氏培养皿的出乎意料之外的长的货架期,即,平均至少十二个月或更长。这与具有大约三个月平均货架期的现有技术的包装皮氏培养皿形成对比。
应当理解的是,本发明扁平包装的小袋可以容纳的皮氏培养皿的数目将取决于小袋的大小以及包含在其中的每个皮氏培养皿的大小。典型的皮氏培养皿具有35mm×10mm、60mm×15mm、100mm×20mm或150mm×25mm的尺寸(直径×高度)。在一个实施例中,扁平包装的小袋可以容纳大约十个到大约二十个具有35mm×10mm、60mm×15mm或100mm×20mm尺寸的皮氏培养皿。在另一个实施例中,扁平包装的小袋可以容纳大约五个到大约十个具有150mm×25mm尺寸的皮式培养皿。
可以将本发明的扁平包装中的皮氏培养皿彼此相邻安置,在小袋的一个平面中对齐。可替代地,可以将皮氏培养皿加倍至多到形成两列相邻的皮氏培养皿。

实例
本发明的用于延长皮氏培养皿货架期和保存的改进的扁平包装进一步描述在以下非限制性实例中,当与现有技术的皮氏培养皿包装相比时,所述非限制性实例仅旨在在说明本发明的优越特性,因为其中的众多修改和变更对于本领域的技术人员将是显而易见的。
实例1.皮氏培养皿的扁平包装与现有技术的包装皮氏培养皿的比较
不同的供应商提供了胰酶大豆琼脂(TSA)单平板。然而,由NanoLogix公司(NNLX)提供的产品因其独特包装而有差别。称为“扁平包装”,它包括以坚固的蜂窝状构造在单层中排列的十个单平板,即,平板不在顶部彼此堆叠。另外,聚合物封套小袋用真空密封,从而进一步增强了包装的坚固性。其他供应商典型地使单平板在塑料包装或套中以十个或更多的量彼此在顶部堆叠,导致圆柱形构造。这些圆柱形包装未被真空密封。因此,可能在单平板内部出现高度冷凝。进一步地,由于缺乏真空包装,在圆柱形包装中的皮氏培养皿未被固定。由于典型的皮氏培养皿是从聚苯乙烯塑料制造的,如果粗暴地处理它们的装运箱,则它们易受破坏。因此,在装运期间存在显著的培养皿破损率。
由NNLX生产、包装和装运的TSA单平板(NNLX,批号0006513)的货架期试验是由Battelle Memorial研究所来实施的。在递送之后,目视检查在扁平包装中的每个单平板的损坏或污染,由于包装的透明性以及在扁平包装中的单平板的安置,这是容易进行的。注意到的是,在扁平包装中的NNLX TSA单平板没有受损或显示出冷凝。
货架期试验是在十二个月时间段内实施的,并且涉及在每个单平板上使用呈连续稀释物的纯化炭疽芽孢杆菌(Bacillus anthracis Ames)孢子,将包装在扁平包装中的NNLX TSA单平板与包装在常规圆柱形塑料套中的TSA单平板进行比较。在37℃±2℃孵育18至24小时之后,将菌落计数。将在来自第三方供应商的单平板上的细菌生长的定量值与在NNLX TSA单平板上的细菌生长进行比较。

1.一种含有多个皮氏培养皿的用于延长其货架期和保存的扁平包装,包括:其中含有多个无菌皮氏培养皿的光学透明、高阻隔、防潮、防气和抗微生物的小袋,所述小袋具有内腔,所述多个皮氏培养皿的每一个彼此相邻地定位于所述小袋的内腔中,其中所述小袋的透明性和其中皮氏培养皿的安置允许皮氏培养皿的货架期延长和无菌性保持、皮氏培养皿的移动性降低、以及增强使用者对每个皮氏培养皿的可视性。
2.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述多个皮氏培养皿在所述小袋的一个平面内对齐。
3.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述小袋是由目视清澈的塑性材料组成的,所述塑性材料选自下组,该组由以下各项组成:聚丙烯、定向聚丙烯(OPP)、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)及它们的组合。
4.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中将真空施加至所述小袋的内腔以便从中排空空气。
5.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中在施加真空之后,任选地用惰性气体冲洗所述小袋的内腔。
6.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述惰性气体是氮气。
7.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中将所述小袋在施加真空之后被热密封,并且任选地用惰性气体冲洗。
8.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述小袋具有易开装置,如拉链锁。
9.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述小袋和所述多个皮氏培养皿在无菌环境中被无菌处理。
10.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述多个皮氏培养皿包括大约十个至大约二十个皮氏培养皿。
11.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述小袋的形状选自下组,该组由以下各项组成:圆形、矩形、椭圆形和正方形。
12.根据权利要求1所述的扁平包装,其中所述多个皮氏培养皿具有至少十二个月的货架期并且保持无菌至少十二个月。
13.一种生产含有多个皮氏培养皿的用于延长其货架期及保存的扁平包装的方法,包括:
获得光学透明、高阻隔、防潮、防气和抗微生物的小袋,所述小袋具有内腔;
将多个皮氏培养皿插入所述小袋的内腔内部,所述多个皮氏培养皿的每一个与另一个皮氏培养皿相邻定位;
向所述小袋施加真空以便从所述小袋和多个皮氏培养皿抽空空气;
任选地用惰性气体冲洗所述小袋;并且
将所述小袋热密封,其中所述小袋的透明性和其中皮氏培养皿的安置允许皮氏培养皿的货架期延长和无菌性保持、皮氏培养皿的移动性降低、以及增强使用者对每个皮氏培养皿的可视性。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述多个皮氏培养皿在所述小袋的一个平面内对齐。
15.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述小袋由目视清澈的塑性材料组成,所述塑性材料选自下组,该组由以下各项组成:聚丙烯、定向聚丙烯(OPP)、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)及它们的组合。
16.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述惰性气体是氮气。
17.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述密封小袋具有易开装置,如拉链锁。
18.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述小袋和所述多个皮氏培养皿在无菌环境中被无菌处理。
19.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述多个皮氏培养皿包括大约十个至大约二十个皮氏培养皿。
20.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述多个皮氏培养皿具有至少十二个月的货架期并且保持无菌至少十二个月。
