背景技术
在产烃井中,能够调节流体从地层进入井眼、从井眼进入地层、以及在井眼内的流动常常是有益的。这样的调节可用于多种目的,包括防止水锥或气锥、最小化产砂量、最小化水和/或气的产出量、最大化油的产出量、平衡多个带之间的产出量、传输信号,等等。
因此将理解,在可变地限制井中流体流动的领域中实现改进在上述情况下将是令人期望的,并且这样的改进在多种其他情况下也将是有益的。
发明内容
在以下公开的内容中提供了一种可变流阻系统,其为可变地限制井中的流体流动的技术带来改进。下面描述了多个示例,其中为了多种目的而选择性地限制流动。
在一个方案中,为本领域提供一种与地下井一起使用的可变流阻系统。该系统可包括:流室,流体成分流经该流室,该流室具有至少两个入口,并且具有根据经由相应的入口流动路径流入该流室的流体成分的比例而改变的流阻。致动器朝向入口流动路径之一偏转流体成分。

具体实施方式
图1中代表性地示出的是能够体现本发明的原理的井系统10。如图1所示,井眼12具有从套管16向下延伸的大体竖直的无套管段14,以及通过地层20延伸的大体水平的无套管段18。
管柱22(如生产管柱)被安装在井眼12中。多个井筛24、可变流阻系统25和封隔器26在管柱22中相互连接。
封隔器26封闭管柱22与井眼区段18之间径向形成的环空28。照此方式,可经由位于相邻的多对封隔器26之间的环空28的隔离部分,从地层20的多个间隔或带产出流体30。

例如,并非为了符合本发明的原理,井眼12必须包括大体竖直的井眼段14或大体水平的井眼段18。流体30并非必须仅从地层20被产出,这是因为在其它示例中,流体可被注入地层内,流体可既被注入地层内又从地层被产出,等等。

在下述示例中,流经系统25的阻力(流阻)能够根据需求和/或响应特定的条件而被选择性地改变。例如,通过系统25的流动能够在管柱22被安装的同时以及砾石充填操作期间相对地受限制,而在从地层20产出流体30时,通过系统的流动则可相对地不受限制。作为另一示例,通过系统25的流动能够在表示蒸汽驱操作中的蒸汽突破的较高温度相对地受限制,但是通过系统的流动能够在较低温度相对地不受限制。
以下更充分地描述的可变流阻系统25的示例能够在流体的速度或密度增大时增大流动的阻力(例如由此平衡多个带之间的流动,防止水锥或气锥,等等),或在流体粘度减小时增大流动的阻力(例如由此限制产油井中的诸如水或气等不期望流体的流动)。相反,如果流体的速度或密度减小,或者如果流体的粘度增大,则这些可变流阻系统25能够减小流动的阻力。
流体是否为期望流体或不期望流体,取决于所进行的生产或注入操作的目的。例如,如果期望从井中产出油,但是不产出水或气,则油是期望流体而水和气是不期望流体。
请注意,在井下的温度和压力条件下,烃气体实际上可完全地或部分地处于液相。因此应理解,当术语“气体”在此被使用时,超临界相、液相和/或气相均可包括被涵盖在该术语的范围内。

虽然图2所示的井筛24属于如绕线井筛这样的本领域技术人员公知的类型,然而在其他的示例中也可使用任何其他类型的井筛(如烧结式、膨胀式、预充填式、丝网式,等等)或者这些井筛的结合。如果需要的话,也可使用额外的部件(如罩、分流管、管线、仪器、传感器、流入控制装置,等等)。
可变流阻系统25在图2是以简化方式示出的,但是在优选示例中,如以下更充分地描述的,该系统可包括用于执行多种功能的多个通道和装置。另外,系统25优选地在管柱22周围至少部分地周向延伸,或者该系统可在作为管柱的一部分相互连接的管柱结构的壁中形成。
在其他示例中,系统25可不在管柱周围周向地延伸或者在管柱结构的壁中形成。例如,系统25可按扁平结构等来形成。系统25可处于被附接到管柱22的分离的壳体中,或者其可被定向,以使得出口40的轴线平行于管柱的轴线。系统25可处于测井管柱上,或者被附接到并非管状的装置。系统25的任何方向或构造均可被使用,而符合保持本发明的原理。
现在再参照图3,沿图2的线3-3的可变流阻系统25的剖视图代表性地示出。图3所示可变流阻系统25的示例可在图1及图2的井系统10中使用,或者可在其他的井系统中使用,而符合本发明的原理。
在图3中可看到,流体成分36从入口38经由通道44、入口流动路径46、48以及流室50流到出口40。流动路径46、48是通道44的分支,并且在入口52、54处与室50相交。
虽然在图3中,流动路径46、48按照几乎相同的角度从入口通道44分叉,但在其他示例中流动路径46、48可相对于通道44不对称。例如,流动路径48可按照与流动路径46相比较小的角度从入口通道44分叉,使得当致动器构件62不延伸时(如图3所示),更多的流体成分36将通过流动通道48流向室50。
如图3所示,由于众所周知的科恩达效应或者“附壁”效应,更多的流体成分36确实经由流动路径48进入室50。然而在其他示例中,流体成分36可经由流动路径46、48基本上相等地进入室50。
流经系统25的流体成分36的阻力取决于经由相应的流动路径46、48以及入口52、54流入室内的流体成分的比例。如图3所示,接近一半的流体成分36经由流动路径46和入口52流入室50,并且大约一半的流体成分经由流动路径48和入口54流入该室。
在该解决方案中,通过系统25的流动相对地不受限。流体成分36能够在到出口40的途中在室50中的多个结构56之间容易地流动。
现在再参照图4,其代表性地示出另一构造的系统25,该构造与图3的构造相比,通过系统的流阻增大。优选地,系统25的流阻的这种增大并非是由于流体成分36的性质的改变导致的(虽然在其他示例中,流阻的增加可以是由于流体成分的性质的改变导致的)。
如图4所示,偏转器58已经相对于通道44移位,使得流体成分36受影响而更多地流向分支流动路径46。因此,与经由入口54流入室中的比例相比,更大比例的流体成分36流经流动路径46,并且经由入口52流入室50。
当大部分流体成分36经由入口52流入室50时,流体成分趋于在室中逆时针旋转(如在图4中观察到的)。结构56被设计为促进室50中这样的旋转流动,并且作为结果,流体成分36中更多的能量被消耗。因此,与图3的构造相比,流经系统25的阻力在图4的构造中增大。
在该示例中,偏转器58由致动器60来移位。可将任何类型的致动器用作致动器60。致动器60可响应任何类型(例如电、磁、温度等等)的刺激(stimulus)而运行。
在其他示例中,偏转器58可响应偏转器的侵蚀或腐蚀而移动(即使得其表面移动)。在另一示例中,偏转器58可以是原电池中的牺牲阳极。在另一示例中,偏转器58可由于被溶解而移动(例如由盐、聚乳酸等等制成的偏转器)。在又一示例中,偏转器58可由于在其表面上的沉积物(例如由于水垢、沥青质、石蜡等等,或者由于作为保护阴极的电流沉积物)而移动。
虽然在图4中显示出致动器60的构件62已经移动,从而使偏转器58移位,但在其他示例中,偏转器能够被移位而不将致动器构件从一个位置移动到另一个位置。构件62可替代地改变构造(例如,伸长、缩回、膨胀、溶胀,等等),而不需要从一个位置移动到另一个位置。
虽然在图3及图4中,流室50具有多个入口52、54,但可使用任何数量(包括一个)的入口,而符合本发明的范围。例如,在2010年6月2日提交的美国申请序列号12/792117中描述了一种流室,其仅具有单个入口,但是流经该室的阻力根据大部分流体成分经由哪个流动路径进入该室而改变。
可变流阻系统的另一构造在图5及图6中代表性地示出。在该构造中,通过系统25的流阻能够由于流体成分36的性质的变化而改变,或者利用致动器60响应特定条件或刺激而改变。
在图5中,流体成分36具有相对较高的速度。随着流体成分36流经通道44,流体成分会经过在通道的一侧形成的多个室64。每个室64与压力操作式流体开关66互通。
如图5所示,在通道44中的流体成分36的速度提高时,较小的压力将会作为流体成分流过室64的结果而被施加到流体开关66,并且流体成分将受影响从而流向分支流动路径48。大部分流体成分36经由入口54流入室50,并且通过系统25的流阻增大。在速度较低和粘度增大时,更多的流体成分36将经由入口52流入室50中,并且通过系统25的流阻由于室中的更少的旋转流动而减小。

在图7中,致动器60包括构件62,该构件具有在其上形成的、或者被附接到其上的偏转器58。构件62包括材料68,该材料响应来自控制器70的电信号或者刺激而改变形状或者移动。电力可通过电池72或者另一来源(如发电机等等)被供应到控制器70。
传感器或检测器74可用于检测从远程位置(例如地球表面、水下井口装置、钻塔、生产设施等等)传输到致动器60的信号。该信号可以是遥测信号,例如通过声波、压力脉冲、电磁波、振动、管操纵(pipe manipulation)等等来传输。与本发明的原理一致,任何类型的信号均可由检测器74来检测。
材料68可以是能够响应电刺激的施加或取消而改变形状或者移动的任何类型的材料。示例包括压电陶瓷、压电体、电致伸缩体,等等。可包括热电体,以便响应温度的特定改变而产生电力。
可施加电刺激以使流体成分36朝向分支流动路径46偏转,或者使流体成分朝向分支流动路径48偏转。替代性地,可在不期望借助偏转器58使流体成分36偏转时施加电刺激。
在图8中,构件62包括材料68,在该构造中,材料68响应来自控制器70的磁信号或者刺激而改变形状或者移动。在该示例中,由控制器70供应的电流利用线圈76而转变成磁场,但是如果需要,也可使用其他技术(例如永磁铁等等)将磁场施加到材料68。
该示例中的材料68可以是能够响应磁场的施加或者取消而改变形状或者移动的任何类型的材料。示例包括磁性形状记忆合金、磁致伸缩体、永磁铁、铁磁材料等等。
在一个示例中,构件62和线圈76可包括音圈或螺线管。螺线管可以是闭锁型螺线管。在此处描述的任何示例中,致动器60可以是双稳态型,并且可被锁定到延伸的和/或收缩的构造内。
磁场可被施加,以使流体成分36朝向分支流动路径46偏转,或者使流体成分36朝向分支流动路径48偏转。替代性地,当不期望借助偏转器58来偏转流体成分36时,可施加磁场。
在图9中,偏转器58使流经通道44的流体成分36偏转。在一个示例中,由于构件62的侵蚀和腐蚀,偏转器58能够相对于通道44移位。这种侵蚀或腐蚀可由于人为干预(例如,通过使构件62与腐蚀性流体接触)而导致,或者可由于时间推移(例如,由于构件62上的流体成分36的流动)而导致。
在另一示例中,构件62可被形成为,通过使其成为原电池中的牺牲阳极而相对快速地腐蚀。电解液流体78可被选择性地引入通道80内而暴露于材料68(例如经由延伸到远程位置的线路等等),与同样暴露于流体的另一材料82相比,材料68可以相对不贵重。
如果例如构件62是原电池中的保护阴极,该构件可由于在其表面上的电流沉积而生长。在其他示例中,构件62可由于在该构件上的水垢、沥青质、石蜡等等的沉积而生长。
在又一示例中,材料68可以是可溶胀的,而流体78可属于引起材料溶胀(即体积增大)的那种类型的流体。多种材料是公知的(例如,见美国专利第3385367号和第7059415号,以及美国专利申请公开号第2004-0020662号和第2007-0257415号),这些材料响应与水、液态烃和/或气态或超临界态烃的接触而溶胀。替代性地,材料68可响应流体成分36中所包含的期望流体对不期望流体的比值增大、或不期望流体对期望流体的比值增大而溶胀。
在另一示例中,材料68可响应离子浓度(如流体78的PH值、或者流体成分36的PH值)的变化而溶胀。例如,材料68可包括聚合物水凝胶。
在又一示例中,材料68可响应温度的升高而溶胀或改变形状。例如,材料68可包括热敏蜡或者热形状记忆材料,等等。
在图10中,构件62包括活塞,该活塞响应通道80与通道44之间的压差而移位。当需要移动偏转器58时,通道80中的压力相对于通道44中的压力增大或减小(例如经由延伸到位于远程位置的压力源的线路,等等)。
图10示出的是铰接叶片式的偏转器58,但应清楚地理解,可使用任何形式的偏转器而符合本发明。例如,偏转器58可以是螺旋桨等等的形式。
在图10的构造中,偏转器58的位置可取决于流体成分36的性质(压力)。
在图11中,致动器60响应磁场的施加或取消而运行。例如,磁场可通过将磁性装置82运送到通道80内而被施加,该通道可通过管柱22延伸到远程位置。
在该构造中的致动器60可包括与图8的构造相关而在以上讨论的任意一种材料68(例如,响应磁场的施加或取消而改变形状或移动的材料、磁形状记忆材料、磁致伸缩体、永磁铁、铁磁体材料,等等)。
磁性装置82可以是任何类型的产生磁场的装置。示例包括永磁铁、电磁体,等等。装置82可借助缆绳、钢丝等等来运送,该装置可通过通道80,等等而被下放或泵送。
图11的构造的一个有益应用是使单个或多个致动器60能够选择性地运行。例如,在图1的井系统10中,可能期望增大或减小流经部分的或所有的可变流阻系统25的阻力。磁性镖(magnetic dart)可通过所有的系统25被下放或泵送,以运行所有的致动器60,或者缆绳运送的电磁体可被选择性地设置在邻近一些系统的位置,以运行那些被选择的致动器。
现在再参照图12,流体成分36的压力或流量比时间的示例性曲线图被代表性地示出。请注意,压力和/或流量能够通过运行可变流阻系统25的致动器60而选择性地改变,并且该压力和/或流量的变化能够用于将信号传输到远程位置。
在图13中代表性地示出的是在井眼12的无套管的区段14被钻出时的井系统10。流体成分36(在这种情况下被称为钻井泥浆)通过管柱84(在这种情况下为钻柱)而循环,排出钻头86,并且经由环空28返回到地面。
致动器60可利用以上描述的控制器70来操作,使得流体成分36中产生压力和/或流量的变化。这些压力和/或流量的变化能够具有数据、指令或者在其上调节的其他信息。以这种方式,信号能够借助可变流阻系统25而被传输到远程位置。
如图13所示,处于远程位置的遥测接收器88利用一个或多个传感器90检测压力和/或流量的变化,上述一个或多个传感器测量系统25的上游和/或下游的上述性质。在一个示例中,系统25可将表明多个测量值的压力和/或流量信号传输到远程位置,这些测量值是通过随钻测量(MWD)、随钻测井(LWD)、随钻测压(PWD)或者在管柱84中相互连接的其他传感器92来取得的。
在其他示例中,系统25的信号传输能力可用在生产、注入、刺激、完井或其他类型的操作中。在生产操作(例如图1的示例)中,系统25可将表明每一单个带的流量、压力、构成、温度等等的信号传输到远程位置。
现在可充分地理解,以上公开的内容为可变地限制井中的流体的流动的技术提供了重要的改进。以上描述的可变流阻系统25的部分的或所有的示例均能够被远程地运行,以可靠地调节地层20与管柱22的内部之间的流动。以上描述的系统25的部分的或所有的示例均能够被运行,以将信号传输到远程位置、和/或能够接收被远程传输的信号以运行致动器60。
在一个方案中,以上公开的内容描述了与地下井一起使用的可变流阻系统25。系统25可包括流室50,流体成分36流经流室50;室50具有多个入口流动路径46、48,并且具有根据流体成分的比例而改变的流阻,该流体成分经由相应的入口流动路径46、48流入流室50。致动器60能够改变经由相应的入口流动路径46、48流入流室50的流体成分36的比例。
致动器60可使流体成分36朝向入口流动路径46偏转。致动器60可使偏转器58相对于流体成分36流经的通道44移位。
致动器60可包括可溶胀材料、响应与被选择的流体类型接触而改变形状的材料、和/或响应温度变化而改变形状的材料。
致动器60可包括压电陶瓷材料和/或从以下群组中选择的材料:压电体、热电体、电致伸缩体、磁致伸缩体、磁形状记忆、永磁铁、铁磁体、可溶胀、聚合物水凝胶、以及热形状记忆。致动器60可包括电磁致动器。
系统25可包括控制器70,控制器70控制致动器60的运行。控制器70可响应从远程位置传输的信号。该信号可包括电信号、磁信号、和/或从以下群组中选择的信号:热、离子浓度以及流体类型。
流体成分36可流经井中的流室50。
系统25还可包括流体开关66,该流体开关响应流体成分36的性质的变化而改变经由相应的入口流动路径46、48流入流室50的流体成分36的比例。该性质可包括速度、粘度、密度以及期望流体对不期望流体的比值中的至少一种。
流体成分36的由致动器60进行的偏转可将信号传输到远程位置。信号可包括压力和/或流量变化。
以上公开的内容还提供一种可变地控制井中的流阻的方法。该方法可包括相对于流体成分36流经的通道44来改变偏转器58的方向,从而影响流体成分36流向流室50的多个入口流动路径46、48之一,流室50具有根据经由相应的入口流动路径46、48流入室50的流体成分36的比例而改变的流阻。
改变偏转器58的方向可包括将信号传输到远程位置。传输信号可包括控制器70选择性地运行致动器60,该致动器使偏转器58相对于通道44移位。
应理解,以上描述的多个示例可沿多个方向(如倾斜、颠倒、水平、垂直,等等)并且以多个构造被利用,而不背离本发明的原理。附图中示出的实施例仅作为本发明的原理的有效应用的示例而被示出和描述,本发明并不限于这些实施例的任何具体的细节。

Claims (51)
1.一种与地下井一起使用的可变流阻系统,所述系统包括:
流室,流体成分流经所述流室,所述流室具有多个入口流动路径,并且具有根据经由相应的所述入口流动路径流入所述流室的流体成分的比例而改变的流阻;以及
致动器,其改变经由相应的所述入口流动路径流入所述流室的流体成分的比例。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器使偏转器相对于流体成分流经的通道移位。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括可溶胀材料。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括响应与被选择的流体类型接触而改变形状的材料。
5.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括响应温度变化而改变形状的材料。
6.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括压电陶瓷材料。
7.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括从以下群组中选择的材料:压电体、热电体、电致伸缩体、磁致伸缩体、磁形状记忆、永磁铁、铁磁体、可溶胀、聚合物水凝胶、以及热形状记忆。
8.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括电磁致动器。
9.根据权利要求1所述的系统,还包括控制器,所述控制器控制所述致动器的运行,并且其中,所述控制器响应从远程位置传输的信号。
10.根据权利要求9所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括电信号。
11.根据权利要求9所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括磁信号。
12.根据权利要求9所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括从以下群组中选择的类型:热、离子浓度、以及流体类型。
13.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述流体成分流经所述井中的流室。
14.根据权利要求1所述的系统,还包括流体开关,所述流体开关响应流体成分的性质的变化而改变经由相应的所述入口流动路径流入所述流室的流体成分的比例。
15.根据权利要求14所述的系统,其中,所述性质包括速度、粘度、密度、以及期望流体对不期望流体的比值中的至少一种。
16.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,流体成分的由所述致动器进行的偏转将信号传输到远程位置。
17.根据权利要求16所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括压力变化。
18.根据权利要求16所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括流量变化。
19.一种可变地控制井中流阻的方法,所述方法包括:
相对于流体成分流经的通道来改变偏转器的方向,由此影响流体成分以流向流室的多个入口流动路径之一,所述流室具有根据经由相应的所述入口流动路径流入所述流室的流体成分的比例而改变的流阻。
20.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括将信号传输到远程位置。
21.根据权利要求20所述的方法,其中,传输所述信号还包括控制器选择性地运行致动器,所述致动器使所述偏转器相对于所述通道移位。
22.根据权利要求20所述的方法,其中,所述信号包括压力变化。
23.根据权利要求20所述的方法,其中,所述信号包括流量变化。
24.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括运行致动器,所述致动器包括可溶胀材料。
25.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括运行包括致动器,所述致动器响应与被选择的流体类型接触而改变形状的材料。
26.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括运行致动器,所述致动器包括响应温度变化而改变形状的材料。
27.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括运行致动器,所述致动器包括压电陶瓷材料。
28.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括运行致动器,所述致动器包括从以下群组中选择的材料:压电体、热电体、电致伸缩体、磁致伸缩体、磁形状记忆、永磁铁、铁磁体、可溶胀、聚合物水凝胶、以及热形状记忆。
29.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,改变所述偏转器的方向还包括运行电磁致动器。
30.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中改变所述偏转器的方向还包括响应从远程位置传输的信号来运行致动器。
31.根据权利要求30所述的方法,其中,所述信号包括电信号。
32.根据权利要求30所述的方法,其中,所述信号包括磁信号。
33.根据权利要求30所述的方法,其中,所述信号包括从以下群组中选择的类型:热、离子浓度、以及流体类型。
34.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,所述流体成分流经所述井中的流室。
35.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,流体开关响应流体成分的性质的变化而改变经由相应的所述入口流动路径流入所述室的流体成分的比例。
36.根据权利要求35所述的方法,其中,所述性质包括速度、粘度、密度、以及期望流体对不期望流体的比值中的至少一种。
37.一种与地下井一起使用的可变流阻系统,所述系统包括:
流室,流体成分流经所述流室,所述流室具有至少第一和第二流动路径,并且具有根据经由相应的所述第一和第二入口流动路径流入所述流室的流体成分的比例而改变的流阻;以及
致动器,其使所述流体成分朝向所述第一入口流动路径偏转。
38.根据权利要求37所述的系统,其中,所述致动器使偏转器相对于流体成分流经的通道移位。
39.根据权利要求37所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括压电陶瓷材料。
40.根据权利要求37所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括从以下群组中选择的材料:压电体、热电体、电致伸缩体、磁致伸缩体、磁形状记忆、永磁铁、铁磁体、可溶胀、聚合物水凝胶、以及热形状记忆。
41.根据权利要求37所述的系统,其中,所述致动器包括电磁致动器。
42.根据权利要求37所述的系统,还包括控制器,所述控制器控制所述致动器的运行,并且其中,所述控制器响应从远程位置传输的信号。
43.根据权利要求42所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括电信号。
44.根据权利要求42所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括磁信号。
45.根据权利要求42所述的系统,其中,所述信号包括从以下群组中选择的类型:热、离子浓度、以及流体类型。
46.根据权利要求37所述的系统,其中,流体成分流经所述井中的流室。
47.根据权利要求37所述的系统,还包括流体开关,所述流体开关响应所述流体成分的性质的变化而改变经由相应的所述第一和第二入口流动路径流入所述流室的流体成分的比例。
