在颗粒物含量低于第一值时执行一次再生,一次再生包括使废气和废气中设定量的烃类一起流入颗粒物过滤器内,并且在颗粒物含量高于第一值时执行二次再生,二次再生包括使废气和加量的氮氧化物一起流入颗粒物过滤器内。
方案2、如方案1所述的方法,其中第一值大于由颗粒物含量构成的第二值,在构成第二值的颗粒物含量下或低于构成第二值的颗粒物含量时,一次再生将颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量降至正常的颗粒物含量。
方案3、如方案2所述的方法,其中从第一值到第三值的范围包括二次再生将颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量降至第一值或第一值以下的颗粒物含量,其中第一值小于第三值。
方案4、如方案3所述的方法,包括在颗粒物含量大于第三值时指示操作人员需要进行维修。

方案9、一种内燃机系统,包括:
内燃机;
与内燃机流体连通并且被设置用于从内燃机接收废气的排气管;
被设置用于从排气管接收废气流的颗粒物过滤器;以及
控制器,被设置用于确定颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量,并且生成指令以在颗粒物含量高于第一值时执行被动再生,被动再生包括使废气和加量的氮氧化物一起流入颗粒物过滤器内。
方案10、如方案9所述的系统,其中控制器被设置用于生成指令以在颗粒物含量低于第一值时执行烃类再生,烃类再生包括使废气和废气中设定量的烃类一起流入颗粒物过滤器内。
方案11、如方案10所述的系统,其中第一值大于由颗粒物含量构成的第二值,在构成第二值的颗粒物含量下或低于构成第二值的颗粒物含量时,烃类再生将颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量降至正常含量。
方案12、如方案11所述的系统,其中从第一值到第三值的范围包括被动再生将颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量降至第一值或第一值以下的颗粒物含量,其中第一值小于第三值。

方案17、如方案9所述的系统,其中确定颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量包括确定跨越颗粒物过滤器的压差。
方案18、如方案9所述的系统,包括位于颗粒物过滤器上游的氧化催化剂和位于氧化催化剂上游的催化还原设备。
方案19、一种用于再生内燃机用废气颗粒物过滤器系统的方法,内燃机具有与其流体连通并且被设置用于从内燃机接收废气的排气管,用于从废气中去除颗粒物的颗粒物过滤器;所述方法包括:
测量颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量;
确定颗粒物已经达到指示需要被动再生颗粒物过滤器以燃烧其中收集的颗粒物的含量;以及
促使增加由颗粒物过滤器接收的废气中的氮氧化物量,其中所述氮氧化物量燃烧颗粒物。
方案20、如方案19所述的方法,包括判定被动再生是否超过设定时间,其中超过设定时间就指示需要进行颗粒物过滤器的维修。

具体实施方式
以下的说明内容在本质上仅仅是示意性的而绝不是为了限制本公开、其应用或用途。应该理解贯穿附图始终的对应附图标记表示相似或对应的部件和特征。如本文中所用的术语控制器和模块是指专用集成电路(ASIC)、电子电路、执行一种或多种软件或固件程序的(共享、专用或群组)处理器和存储器、组合逻辑电路和/或提供所述功能性的其他合适部件。在各实施例中,控制器或模块可以包括一个或多个子控制器或子模块。
图1是发动机系统10的一个实施例的示意图。发动机系统100包括内燃机102、排气系统104和发动机控制器106。排气系统104包括排气歧管108、废气后处理系统110和排气管112。气缸116位于内燃机102内,其中气缸116接收燃烧空气和燃料的混合物。燃烧空气/燃料混合物的燃烧导致位于气缸116内的活塞(未示出)往复运动。活塞的往复运动旋转曲轴(未示出)以向车辆传动系(未示出)或向发电机或者在固定应用内燃机102的情况下向这种动力的其他固定接受者(未示出)输送原动力。空气/燃料混合物的燃烧促使废气流118流过排气歧管108、排气管117并流入废气后处理系统110内,其中废气后处理系统110可以包括第一氧化催化剂119、选择性催化还原(“SCR”)设备120、第二氧化催化剂122和颗粒物过滤器124。废气后处理系统110在废气释放入大气之前先要还原、氧化、截留或以其他方式处理废气118中的各种调节成分和污染物例如颗粒物。
第一氧化催化剂119和第二氧化催化剂122均可包括例如流通式金属或陶瓷整体基板,其被包装在膨胀衬垫或者在受热时膨胀以固定和隔离基板的其他合适载体内。基板可以被封装在具有与排气管117流体连通的入口和出口的不锈钢壳体或罐内。基板可以包括设置在其上的氧化催化剂化合物。氧化催化剂化合物可以被施加为涂层并且可以包含铂族金属例如铂(Pt)、钯(Pd)、铑(Rh)或其他合适的氧化催化剂。SCR设备120也可以包括例如流通式陶瓷或金属整体基板,其被包装在膨胀衬垫或者在受热时膨胀以固定和隔离基板的其他合适载体内。基板可以被封装在具有与排气管117流体连通的入口和出口的不锈钢壳体或罐内。基板可以包括向其施加的SCR催化剂组合物。SCR催化剂组合物可以包含沸石以及一种或多种基底金属组分例如铁(Fe)、钴(Co)、铜(Cu)或钒,其能够有效地操作用于在存在还原剂例如氨(NH3)的情况下转化废气118中的NOx成分。NH3还原剂可以从流体供应源125(还原剂供应源)提供并且可以利用喷射器在SCR设备120上游的位置注入废气118内。还原剂可以是气体、液体或尿素水溶液的形式并且可以在喷射器内与空气混合以有助于散布喷雾。混合器也可以设置在废气后处理系统内以进一步帮助还原剂与废气118混合。在一个实施例中,第二流体源127可以包括烃类供应源。烃类供应源可以根据系统配置而取代或者附加于还原剂供应源。
在一个实施例中,废气后处理系统110和流体供应源125,127被有效连接至发动机控制器106(也被称为“模块”)并由其控制。发动机控制器106从传感器128a-128n收集内燃机102运行的相关信息例如(进气系统、排气系统、发动机冷却剂、外界环境等的)温度、压力、排气流速、颗粒物含量和NOx浓度。发动机控制器106可以调节注入废气后处理系统110内的NH3还原剂125或其他合适的排放物还原流体的量。而且,控制器106还可以被设置用于根据测量的参数执行设定的过程或操作例如根据颗粒物过滤器124内测量的颗粒物含量执行再生过程。在一个示范性实施例中,废气流118由可以紧密连接至发动机102的第一氧化催化剂119接收以去除污染物并符合排放标准。
颗粒物过滤器124可以被设置在SCR设备120的下游。颗粒物过滤器124操作用于过滤废气118中的碳和其他颗粒物。在各实施例中,颗粒物过滤器124可以被构造为使用包装在隔离衬垫或者固定和隔离过滤器的其他合适载体内的陶瓷壁流式整体过滤器。过滤器可以被封装在例如是不锈钢的并具有与排气管117流体连通的入口和出口的壳体或罐内。陶瓷壁流式整体过滤器可以具有由纵向延伸的壁部界定的多条纵向延伸的通道。通道包括具有开放的入口端和封闭的出口端的入口通道子集以及具有封闭的入口端和开放的出口端的出口通道子集。通过入口通道入口端进入过滤器的废气118通过邻接的纵向延伸壁部被强行转移至出口通道。正是通过这种示范性的壁流式机构来过滤废气118中的碳和其他颗粒物。滤除的颗粒物被沉积在入口通道的纵向延伸的壁部上,并且随着时间的流逝将具有增大由内燃机102承受的排气背压的效果。应该理解陶瓷壁流式整体过滤器在本质上仅仅是示范性的,并且颗粒物过滤器124可以包括其他的过滤设备例如缠绕或填装纤维式过滤器、开口泡沫塑料、烧结金属纤维等。
颗粒物过滤器124内累积的颗粒物质被定期清理或再生以减小背压。再生涉及在通常为高温(例如600℃或以上)的环境下氧化或燃烧累积的碳和其他颗粒物(也包括碳烟)。在一个实施例中,通过与控制器106通信联络的传感器128a-128n测量颗粒物过滤器124内升高的颗粒物含量并且可以执行再生。示范性的再生过程包括通过向废气118内引入燃料127(烃类或HC)而向废气后处理系统110内引入热量,从而在氧化催化剂122上进行氧化以升高进入颗粒物过滤器124的废气118的温度。
在示范性内燃机系统100运行期间,一次再生(也被称为“烃类再生”)可以执行一定的延长时段例如10到30分钟以将颗粒物减少至正常或可接受的含量。某些系统需要将发动机102升温以供再生。因此,较短的发动机运行时段(例如5分钟)或启动-停机操作可能无法为发动机提供升温以开始再生的足够时间。重复的短时段运行可以导致升高的颗粒物累积对于一次再生(也被称为“烃类或HC再生”)来说过高但并无损坏硬件(例如颗粒物过滤器)的风险。在各实施例中,升高的颗粒物含量无法通过一次再生降低可能会导致发动机在动力有限的模式下运行,直到在服务中心例如经销商或维修中心以受控的状态执行人工再生过程为止。因此,提供了一种用于废气后处理系统110的方法和系统以使得能够在颗粒物含量对于通过一次再生过程处理来说过高时实现颗粒物过滤器124的二次再生(也被称为“被动再生”),从而避免由需要人工再生导致的不合需要的车辆停机时间。应该注意的是发动机系统100可以具有多种可选结构,包括比图示更少或更多的部件。在一个实施例中,系统可以包括单个氧化催化剂119和单个颗粒物过滤器124。
图2是用于在废气后处理系统110(图1)内的颗粒物再生的示范性过程200的方块图。在一个实施例中,废气后处理系统110从内燃机102接收废气118并且使废气流过第一氧化催化剂119、SCR设备120、第二氧化催化剂122然后流入颗粒物过滤器124内。在方块202,通过合适的测量设备例如沿排气流路设置的一个或多个背压传感器测量颗粒物过滤器124内升高的颗粒物含量。在一个实施例中,可以通过确定过滤器入口和出口之间的压差来测量颗粒物含量,其中升高的颗粒物含量由跨越过滤器124的更大压差指示。用于升高的颗粒物含量的示范值可以根据发动机、环境、燃料类型和其他因素而改变。在一个实施例中,升高的颗粒物含量是过滤器内的颗粒物大于约40克。如果颗粒物含量并未升高,那么发动机102(图1)就正常运行。在方块204,对颗粒物含量是否低于用于被动再生的下限进行判定。用于被动再生的示范性下限可以是过滤器内的颗粒物约为70克。在方块206,如果颗粒物含量低于下限则启动示范性的一次再生过程。一次再生过程可以燃烧烃类(HC)127以提供热量用于燃烧颗粒物。在一次再生之后,如方块208所示,颗粒物含量被降至可以恢复发动机正常运行的“正常含量”。如本文中所述,正常的颗粒物含量就是说颗粒物过滤器124内的颗粒物含量不会造成发动机102的背压过高并且低于用于启动一次再生的阈值或下限。
在方块210,对测量的颗粒物含量是否介于用于被动再生的下限和上限之间或者颗粒物含量是否超过用于被动再生的上限进行判定。用于被动再生的示范性上限可以是约为75克的颗粒物含量。如果颗粒物含量超过上限,那么内燃机系统100(图1)就如方块212所示指示操作人员需要进行发动机维修。在一个示例中,发动机直到将其送至维修中心之前都在动力有限或低动力模式下运行。如方块214所示,如果颗粒物含量低于用于被动再生的上限,那么就启动二次或被动再生。被动再生可以在发动机仍以基本正常的方式运行时发生,由此允许操作人员无中断地继续使用。在一个实施例中,被动再生过程包括运行发动机系统100以生成加量的NOx(一氧化氮和二氧化氮)。在废气中增加的NOx即可产生另外的化学反应以促使“烧掉”颗粒物过滤器124(图1)基板上的颗粒物。在一个方面中,高NOx以比烃类再生过程更低的温度被动地再生颗粒物。在一个实施例中,因为驱动循环可能会导致颗粒物快速燃烧从而不合需要地造成高温,所以烃类再生可能无法在较高的颗粒物含量下进行。对发动机系统100任意合适的调节或动作均可用于生成额外的NOx。在一个示例中,控制器106可以促使发动机系统100调节燃料和空气的混合比以生成NOx。在另一个示例中,废气再循环(EGR)系统可以减少流入发动机内的再循环废气,这样即可导致增加NOx的生成量。
在方块216,监测用于执行被动再生过程的时间。在一个实施例中,在被动再生过程期间测量颗粒物含量以判定被动再生过程是否应该继续。如果被动再生在设定时间限制以内将颗粒物含量降至正常含量,那么发动机系统100就恢复正常运行(方块208)。如果被动再生过程继续运行而并未在设定时间限制内将颗粒物含量降至可接受的含量,那么就可以通知操作人员需要进行维修(方块212)。在方块216,时间限制可以根据发动机配置和其他因素而改变。示范性的时间限制范围可以是从约10分钟到约30分钟。在一个方面中,大约每三到四分钟去除约一克的颗粒物。示范性的再生过程200可以利用任意合适的设备例如硬件、处理器和软件以执行本文中介绍的逻辑、控制和指令。在一个示范性实施例中,一个或多个控制模块例如控制器106(图1)可以被用于执行图示过程200中的步骤。图1和图2中示出的方法和装置通过经被动过程去除颗粒物而为废气后处理系统提供了更好的性能。二次或被动再生使得能够在发动机基本正常运行期间烧掉累积的过多颗粒物,由此避免了与通过经销商或维修技术人员执行的人工再生相关联的停机时间。
尽管已经参照示范性实施例介绍了本发明,但是本领域技术人员应该理解可以进行各种修改并且可以用等价形式代替其中的元素而并不背离本发明的保护范围。另外,可以根据本发明的教导得到多种变形以适应特定情况或材料而并不背离其实质的保护范围。因此,应该认定本发明并不局限于公开的特定实施例,而且本发明应该包括落入本申请保护范围内的所有实施例。
Claims (10)
1. 一种再生颗粒物过滤器的方法,包括:
使废气从内燃机流入颗粒物过滤器内;
确定颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量;以及
在颗粒物含量低于第一值时执行一次再生,一次再生包括使废气和废气中设定量的烃类一起流入颗粒物过滤器内,并且在颗粒物含量高于第一值时执行二次再生,二次再生包括使废气和加量的氮氧化物一起流入颗粒物过滤器内。
2. 如权利要求1所述的方法,其中第一值大于由颗粒物含量构成的第二值,在构成第二值的颗粒物含量下或低于构成第二值的颗粒物含量时,一次再生将颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量降至正常的颗粒物含量。
3. 如权利要求2所述的方法,其中从第一值到第三值的范围包括二次再生将颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量降至第一值或第一值以下的颗粒物含量,其中第一值小于第三值。
4. 如权利要求3所述的方法,包括在颗粒物含量大于第三值时指示操作人员需要进行维修。
5. 如权利要求3所述的方法,包括在二次再生超过时间限制时指示操作人员需要进行维修。
6. 如权利要求1所述的方法,其中使废气和加量的氮氧化物一起流入颗粒物过滤器内促使颗粒物含量降至正常含量。
7. 如权利要求1所述的方法,其中使废气和加量的氮氧化物一起流入颗粒物过滤器内促使在低于一次再生温度的温度下燃烧颗粒物过滤器中的颗粒物。
8. 如权利要求1所述的方法,其中确定颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量包括确定跨越颗粒物过滤器的压差。
9. 一种内燃机系统,包括:
内燃机;
与内燃机流体连通并且被设置用于从内燃机接收废气的排气管;
被设置用于从排气管接收废气流的颗粒物过滤器;以及
控制器,被设置用于确定颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量,并且生成指令以在颗粒物含量高于第一值时执行被动再生,被动再生包括使废气和加量的氮氧化物一起流入颗粒物过滤器内。
10. 一种用于再生内燃机用废气颗粒物过滤器系统的方法,内燃机具有与其流体连通并且被设置用于从内燃机接收废气的排气管,用于从废气中去除颗粒物的颗粒物过滤器;所述方法包括:
测量颗粒物过滤器内的颗粒物含量;
确定颗粒物已经达到指示需要被动再生颗粒物过滤器以燃烧其中收集的颗粒物的含量;以及
促使增加由颗粒物过滤器接收的废气中的氮氧化物量,其中所述氮氧化物量燃烧颗粒物。
