Abstract

一种分段显示装置,其包括电子纸分段显示单元、第一电路模块及第二电路模块。电子纸分段显示单元具有第一接点组。第一电路模块具有第一基板、第一控制单元、第二接点组与第三接点组。第一控制单元、第二接点组与第三接点组形成于第一基板上,第一控制单元分别与第二接点组及第三接点组相连接,第二接点组与第一接点组相连接。第二电路模块具有第二基板、第二控制单元与第四接点组,第二控制单元与第四接点组相连且形成于第二基板上,第四接点组与第三接点组相连接。上述分段显示装置具有省电的优点。

分段显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及一种分段显示装置的结构,尤其涉及一种电子纸分段显示装置的结构。
背景技术
近年来,随着科技的进步与社会的发展,显示装置在各种电子产品中的使用越来越广泛,例如数字时钟、招牌或价格卷标中会使用到分段显示装置。而且,随着电子产品轻薄短小且易于携带的发展趋势,市场上更出现了具有厚度薄且省电等优点的电子纸显示器,如电泳显示器(Electrophoretic Display)、粉体移动显示器(Quick Response-Liquid Powder Display,QR-LPD)与电湿润式显示器(Electro-wetting Display,EWD)。
以电泳显示器为例,其是一种藉由电场来控制带电粒子分布型态,进而改变显示区对环境光的反射率,以产生显示效果的显示器。基于其显示原理,电泳显示器具有双稳态(Bistability)以及无须额外的发光光源的特点,因而可具备厚度薄且省电等优点。
然而,在现有的分段显示装置中,通常都是由液晶显示器作为显示器件的,其使用时仍需较多的电力消耗,因此容易给分段显示装置的使用造成不便。
因此,如何降低分段显示装置电力消耗,从而进一步改善分段显示装置的使用性能,实为相关领域之人员所重视的议题之一。
发明内容
本发明提供一种分段显示装置,其较为省电。
本发明提出一种分段显示装置,其包括电子纸分段显示单元、第一电路模块及第二电路模块。电子纸分段显示单元具有第一接点组。第一电路模块具有第一基板、第一控制单元、第二接点组与第三接点组。第一控制单元、第二接点组与第三接点组形成于第一基板上,第一控制单元分别与第二接点组及第三接点组相连接,第二接点组与第一接点组相连接。第二电路模块具有第二基板、第二控制单元与第四接点组,第二控制单元与第四接点组相连且形成于第二基板上,第四接点组与第三接点组相连接。
本发明还提出一种分段显示装置,其包括电子纸分段显示单元及第一电路模块。电子纸分段显示单元具有第一控制单元与第一接点组。第一控制单元与第一接点组相连接。第一电路模块具有第一基板、第二控制单元与第二接点组。第二控制单元与第二接点组相连接且形成于第一基板上,第二接点组与第一接点组相连接。
上述分段显示装置采用电子纸分段显示单元作为显示器件,由于电子纸分段显示单元具有省电的优点,因此有利于整体减少分段显示装置的电力消耗,从而提高分段显示装置使用的方便性。
为让本发明的上述和其他目的、特征和优点能更明显易懂,下文特举较佳实施例,并配合所附图式,作详细说明如下。

为更进一步阐述本发明为实现预定发明目的所采取的技术手段及功效,以下结合附图及较佳实施例,对依据本发明提出的分段显示装置的具体实施方式、结构、特征及其功效,详细说明如后。
图1为本发明第一实施例的分段显示装置的分解示意图。请参阅图1,本发明第一实施例的分段显示装置10包括电子纸分段显示单元12,第一电路模块14及第二电路模块16。电子纸分段显示单元12具有第一接点组122。第一电路模块14具有第一基板142、第一控制单元144、第二接点组146与第三接点组148。第一控制单元144,第二接点组146与第三接点组148形成于第一基板142上。第一控制单元144分别与第二接点组146及第三接点组148相连接。第二接点组146与第一接点组122相连接。第二电路模块16具有第二基板162、第二控制单元164与第四接点组166。第二控制单元164与第四接点组166相连接且形成于第二基板162上。第四接点组166与三接点组148相连接。
电子纸分段显示单元12例如为电泳式电子纸分段显示单元。
第一电路模块14连接于电子纸分段显示单元12与第二电路模块16之间。详细来说,第一控制单元144可包括微控制单元(Micro Control Unit,MCU)或驱动芯片(Driver IC),其可支持各种信号传输的接口协议(Interface Protocol),例如串行外设接口(Serial Peripheral Interface,SPI)协议或串行总线(Inter-Integrated Circuit,I2C)协议。第二接点组146与第一接点组122相连接以使电子纸分段显示单元12与第一电路模块14之间可进行信息交换。第二接点组146与第一接点组122可藉由异方性导电膜 (Anisotropic Conductive Film,ACF)、异方性导电胶(Anisotropic Conductive Paste,ACP)或连接器(Connector)相连接。进一步地,在本实施例中,第一电路模块14还可包括第一被动电子元件组149,其形成于第一基板142上。第一被动电子元件组149例如包括电阻、电容、晶体振荡器与开关等。
第二电路模块16可为输入设备,例如为键盘。第二控制单元164可包括微控制单元,与第一控制单元144相似,第二控制单元164亦可支持各种接口协议,例如串行外设接口协议或串行总线(Inter-Integrated)协议。第四接点组166与第三接点组148相连接以使第二电路模块16与第一电路模块14之间可进行信息交换。与第二接点组146与第一接点组122之连接结构相似,第四接点组166与第三接点组148亦可藉由异方性导电膜、异方性导电胶或连接器相连接。进一步地,在本实施例中,第二电路模块16还可包括第二被动电子元件组168与电源供应元件169。第二被动电子元件组168与电源供应元件169均形成于第二基板162上。第二被动电子元件组168例如包括电阻、电容、晶体振荡器与开关等。电源供应元件169用于为各电子元件提供电力,其可为一般电池或充电电池,但本发明并不以此为限,在其他实施例中分段显示装置10也可设置插头与外部电源连接来提供所需电力。
上述分段显示装置10采用电子纸分段显示单元12作为显示器件,由于电子纸分段显示单元12具有省电的优点,因此有利于整体减少分段显示装置10的电力消耗,从而提高分段显示装置10使用的方便性。此外,电子纸分段显示单元12,第一电路模块14及第二电路模块16的配合结构,还可改善分段显示装置10的连接方式,提升分段显示装置10的使用性能。
图2为本发明第二实施例的分段显示装置的分解示意图。请参阅图2,本发明第二实施例的分段显示装置20与分段显示装置10相似,其不同点在于分段显示装置20的第一电路模块24还包括芯片245。芯片245可与第三接点组248或另外增设的接点组相连接,以用于增加第一电路模块24输入/输出接口的数量,从而使分段显示装置20的使用范围进一步扩大。
图3为本发明第三实施例的分段显示装置的分解示意图。请参阅图3,本发明第三实施例的分段显示装置30与分段显示装置10相似。分段显示装置30包括电子纸分段显示单元32与第一电路模块34。电子纸分段显示单元32具有第一控制单元324与第一接点组322。第一控制单元324与第一接点组322相连接。第一电路模块34具有第一基板342、第二控制单元344与第二接点组346。第二控制单元344与第二接点组346相连接且形成于第一基板342上。第二接点组346与第一接点组322相连接。此外,电子纸分段显示单元32与第一电路模块34还可分别包括被动电子元件组326,348。本实施例中,由于第一控制单元324与被动电子元件组326直接设置于电子纸分段显示单元32上,因此还可省去基板的使用,从而降低分段显示装置30的成本。
图4为本发明第四实施例的分段显示装置的分解示意图。请参阅图4,本发明第四实施例的分段显示装置40与分段显示装置30相似。分段显示装置40包括电子纸分段显示单元42与第一电路模块44。电子纸分段显示单元42具有第一控制单元424与第一接点组422。第一控制单元424与第一接点组422相连接。第一电路模块44具有第一基板442、第二控制单元444与第二接点组446。第二控制单元444与第二接点组446相连接且形成于第一基板442上。第二接点组446与第一接点组422相连接。特别地,第一电路模块44还包括被动电子元件组448,而电子纸分段显示单元42中无被动电子元件组。本实施例中,由于被动电子元件组448建立在第一电路模块44,而电子纸分段显示单元42中无被动电子元件组,因此有利于进一步缩小电子纸分段显示单元42的面积,以节省空间,并降低制造难度,提升产品良率。
综上所述,在本发明的分段显示装置采用电子纸分段显示单元作为显示器件,由于电子纸分段显示单元具有省电的优点,因此有利于整体减少分段显示装置的电力消耗,从而提高分段显示装置使用的方便性。此外,电子纸分段显示单元,第一电路模块及第二电路模块之配合结构,还可改善分段显示装置的连接方式,提升分段显示装置的使用性能。

Claims (9)

1.一种分段显示装置,其特征在于包括:
电子纸分段显示单元,具有第一接点组;
第一电路模块,具有第一基板、第一控制单元、第二接点组与第三接点组,该第一控制单元、该第二接点组与该第三接点组形成于该第一基板上,该第一控制单元分别与该第二接点组及该第三接点组相连接,该第二接点组与该第一接点组相连接;以及
第二电路模块,具有第二基板、第二控制单元与第四接点组,该第二控制单元与该第四接点组形成于该第二基板上,该第二控制单元与该第四接点组相连接,该第四接点组与该第三接点组相连接,该第二接点组位于该第一基板的第一侧边,该第三接点组位于该第一基板的第二侧边,且该电子纸分段显示单元连接于该第一侧边,该第二电路模块连接于该第二侧边。
2.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第一控制单元包括微控制单元或驱动芯片。
3.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第二控制单元包括微控制单元。
4.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第二接点组与该第一接点组是藉由异方性导电膜、异方性导电胶或连接器相连接。
5.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第四接点组与该第三接点组是藉由异方性导电膜、异方性导电胶或连接器相连接。
6.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该电子纸分段显示单元为电泳式电子纸分段显示单元。
7.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第一电路模块包括第一被动电子元件组,形成于该第一基板上;该第二电路模块还包括第二被动电子元件组,形成于该第二基板上。
8.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第一电路模块还包括用于增加输入/输出接口的芯片。
9.如权利要求1所述的分段显示装置,其特征在于,该第二电路模块还包括电源供应元件,其分别与该第二控制单元与该第四接点组相连接。
