根据另一示例性实施方式的方面,提供一种包括PCB和LED封装的LED模块。该LED封装提供为安装在PCB的上表面的一侧从而朝PCB的上表面的相对侧发射光的侧视型LED封装。PCB包括基板、连接孔、绝缘层和间隔带。连接孔穿过基板的上表面和下表面形成从而使连接构件能耦接到基板。绝缘层涂覆在基板上同时与连接孔的圆周向外间隔开预定距离。间隔带提供在绝缘层的上侧以在连接孔周围形成台阶差。
LED模块还可以包括引线端子和引线端子容纳槽。引线端子形成在LCD封装上从而给LCD封装提供电力。引线电子容纳槽形成在PCB中以容纳引线端子。
LED模块还可以包括从PCB的下表面突出的连接器从而将PCB连接到外部电源。
LED模块还可以包括设置在间隔带的上侧同时与LED封装邻近的白色带。

在以下的描述中,即使在不同的附图中,相似的附图标记用于相似的元件。在该描述中限定的内容,诸如具体构造和元件,被提供以有助于示例性实施方式的全面理解。然而,可以实施示例性实施方式而不用那些具体限定的内容。此外,公知的功能或构造没有被详细描述,因为这会以不必要的细节使本发明模糊。
图1是示出根据一示例性实施方式的LCD的分解透视图。图2是示出图1的LCD的液晶模块的透视图。图3是图2的液晶模块的分解透视图。图4是图2的液晶模块的截面图。
参照图1至图4,LCD 1包括前盖3、液晶模块10、主基板2以及后盖4。主基板2通过施加信号到液晶模块10来操作液晶模块10。前盖3和后盖4分别设置在液晶模块10的前侧和后侧以覆盖并支撑液晶模块10和主基板2。
液晶模块10包括液晶面板20、背光单元70和盖组件30,盖组件30覆盖并支撑液晶面板20和背光单元70。
液晶面板20对应于液晶模块10的显示区。虽然在附图中没有示出,但是液晶面板20包括两个薄玻璃基板、插置在这两个薄玻璃基板之间的液晶分子、以及配置为施加电压到液晶分子的透明电极。
背光单元70设置在液晶面板20的下侧从而向液晶面板20发射光,并且包括LED模块110、反射片100、导光板90以及光学片80。应该注意到,对部件的描述仅是示例性的并参照附图提供。因而,被描述为上或下的部件可以分别设置在显示器的前侧或在显示器的后侧,反之亦然。
导光板90以六面体的形式提供,包括丙烯酸基树脂(acryl resin)。
各种图案形成在导光板90的底表面上。这样的图案阻碍引入到导光板90的侧面的光的全反射,使得光均匀地穿过导光板90的上表面发射。
反射片100提供在导光板90的下侧从而将导光板90中经受全反射后向下行进的光朝向导光板90反射。
光学片80包括保护片81、棱镜片82以及散射片83。
散射片83提供在导光板90的上侧使得穿过导光板90上表面发射的光被散射并提供到液晶面板20。散射片83可以提供有涂层(未示出),该涂层具有散射光的珠粒(bead)。
棱镜片82配置为在垂直于液晶面板20的显示面的方向上收集通过散射片83散射的光。
保护片81提供在棱镜片82的上侧以保护棱镜片82,棱镜片82容易由于灰尘而引起划痕(scratching)。
LED模块110包括PCB 130以及安装在PCB 130上的LED封装120,并向导光板90发射光。根据当前的示例性实施方式,一对LED模块110彼此对称地设置在液晶模块10的左侧和右侧,但是LED模块110的配置不限于此。备选地,一对LED模块110可以设置在液晶模块10的上侧和下侧。备选地,LCD 1可以仅包括提供在液晶模块10的侧面的一个LED模块110。下面详细描述LED模块110的构造。
盖组件30配置为覆盖并支撑液晶面板20和背光单元70,并包括顶部框架(sash)40、中间模50以及底部框架60。
顶部框架40包括形成液晶模块10的边缘的边框(bezel)41以及顶部侧壁42。边框41的端部43设置得与导光板90的侧面(lateral side)或者光学片80的侧面在一个垂直线上。
边框41可以是具有小于约15mm的长度(L)的超窄边框。
底部框架60包括:底部61,支撑反射片100、导光板90和光学片80;基板容纳部62,容纳LED模块110;底部侧壁64;以及允许连接器从其穿过的连接器穿过部63。
基板容纳部62通过使底部61的两个端部凹入而形成以容纳LED模块110。
在LED模块110下侧提供的连接器200通过穿过连接器穿过部63而暴露到液晶模块10外面。
中间模50包括中间侧壁52和支撑部51。
中间侧壁52具有与顶部框架40的边框41紧密接触的上侧以及与LED模块110的PCB 130紧密接触的下侧。
支撑部51设置在液晶面板20与光学片80之间使得液晶面板20与光学片80间隔开预定距离。支撑部51具有与液晶面板20紧密接触的上侧以及与光学片80紧密接触的下侧,从而稳定地支撑液晶面板20和光学片80。
盖组件30的这样的构造通过用第二连接构件(S2)将顶部框架40的顶部侧部42耦接到底部框架60的底部侧壁64而组装。
图5是图3的LED模块的透视图。图6是图3的LED模块的俯视图。图7是将图3的LED模块的一部分放大的截面图。图8是将图3的LED模块的一部分放大的俯视图。图9是图3的LED模块的侧视图。图10是图6的LED模块沿线I-I截取的截面图。
以下参照图1至图10详细描述LED模块110的构造。
LED模块110包括:PCB 130,导光板90安装到PCB 130;以及LED封装120,安装在PCB 130的上表面上。
为了实现超窄边框,LED封装120包括其中发光面122形成在LED封装120的封装体121的侧面上的侧视型LED封装。
液晶模块10使用在PCB 130的上表面的一侧成行安装的多个LED封装120来向PCB 130的上表面的相对侧发射光。
参照图10,引线端子123形成在从LED封装120的封装体121向下延伸的腿部124上,使得电力被提供到LED封装120。此外,引线端子容纳槽133形成在PCB 130中以容纳引线端子123从而防止引线端子123暴露到外面,由此防止LED封装120由于具有导电性的异物而引起短路。
PCB 130包括:基板140;绝缘层150,涂覆在基板140上;间隔带160,提供在绝缘层150的上侧;白色带180,提供在间隔带160的上侧;连接孔170,使基板140耦接到底部框架60的基板容纳部62;以及连接器200。
基板140使用金属诸如铝形成。因此,从LED封装120产生的热通过基板140快速传导并且与外部或室外空气产生热交换。此外,虽然在附图中没有示出,但是基板140被图案化有配线,该配线连接到LED封装120的引线端子123使得驱动信号被传输到每个LED封装120。
第一连接构件(S1)向下插入到连接孔170中使得基板140耦接到底部框架60的基板容纳部62。
第一连接构件(S1)包括具有螺纹的主体部(B)以及在主体部(B)的上侧提供的头部(H)。由于第一连接构件(S1)向下插入到连接孔170中,所以头部(H)设置在液晶模块10里面而没有暴露到液晶模块10外面。
基板140涂覆有用于电绝缘的绝缘层150。绝缘层150使用白色PSR形成。
避开第一连接构件(S1)的头部(H)涂覆绝缘层150。
参照图7和图8,绝缘层150涂覆在圆形区域外,该圆形区域具有与头部(H)的直径(D1)相同的直径。也就是,绝缘层150涂覆在基板140的一区域上并与连接孔170的圆周171间隔开预定距离(D2)。因此,第一连接构件(S1)的头部(H)与基板140紧密接触。
这样的局部涂覆减小了由连接构件(S1)的头部(H)所引起的台阶差而不用额外的工艺。
参照图7,间隔带160提供在绝缘层150的上侧。间隔带160具有与第一连接构件(S1)的头部(H)的厚度(T1)实质相同的厚度(T2)。由于绝缘层150的厚度(T3)远小于间隔带160的厚度(T2),所以头部(H)的厚度(T1)被认为与间隔带160的厚度(T2)实质上相同。
间隔带160的安装在连接孔170周围形成台阶差,该台阶差对应于第一连接构件(S1)的头部(H)的厚度(T1)。
因此,当第一连接构件(S1)被固定到连接孔170时,防止导光板90和反射片100在保持平坦状态时由于头部(H)的突出而倾斜。
此外,连接器200被设置成在PCB 130的下侧伸出,由此防止导光板90由于连接器200而倾斜地安装在PCB 130上。此外,连接器200设置在PCB 130的边缘以改善LED模块110的组装效率。
PCB 130的端部分190具有额外的连接构件与其耦接的孔131,从而改善PCB 130与底部框架60之间的耦接力。孔131的形成减小了PCB 130的端部分190的面积,因此PCB 130的具有孔131的端部分190太小而不具有附接到PCB 130的间隔带160,结果间隔带160可以被容易地分离。因此,间隔带160没有提供在PCB 130的具有孔131的端部分190上。
然而,为了防止液晶面板20具有光反弹(light bouncing),其中该光反弹在绝缘层150的白色PSR由于在PCB 130的端部分190上不存在间隔带160而暴露时引起,黑色丝状图案涂覆在PCB 130的没有间隔带160的端部分190上。
一般地,执行丝状图案的涂覆以在绝缘层150的上侧图案化预定符号。因此,通过在不具有间隔带160的端部分190上执行这样的普通丝状图案工艺,防止了光反弹并减少了亮部分而不用额外的工艺。
白色带180提供在间隔带160的上侧同时设置在LED封装120与导光板90之间以使得从LED封装120发出的光被有效地引入导光板90。白色带180将光引入效率提高10%以上。
如上所述,通过实现超窄边框而提供差异化设计。此外,通过仅使用常规工艺而不用额外的工艺实现了该示例性实施方式的LCD和LED模块,由此能够批量生产。
前述示例性实施方式和优点仅是示例性的,而不应被解释为限制性的。当前的教导可以容易地应用到其它类型的装置。此外,示例性实施方式的描述旨在是说明性的,而不旨在限制权利要求的范围,许多替换、变型和变化对于本领域技术人员将是显然的。

Claims (27)

1.一种液晶显示器(LCD),包括:
盖组件;
液晶面板;
导光板,配置为引导光到所述液晶面板;
发光二极管(LED)模块,包括印刷电路板(PCB)和多个LED封装,所述导光板位于该印刷电路板上,该多个LED封装安装在所述PCB上从而向所述导光板的侧面发射光,该PCB包括具有连接孔的基板;
连接构件,位于所述导光板的与所述液晶面板相反的后侧,从所述PCB的上表面延伸穿过所述连接孔并被紧固到所述盖组件以将所述PCB的基板耦接到所述盖组件;以及
间隔带,设置在所述基板的上侧使得所述导光板平坦地位于所述PCB上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的LCD,还包括绝缘层,该绝缘层避开所述连接构件的头部涂覆在所述基板上。
3.根据权利要求1所述的LCD,还包括白色带,该白色带提供在所述间隔带的上侧并设置在所述LED封装与所述导光板之间,使得从所述LED封装发射的光的一部分被所述白色带反射并被引入到所述导光板。
4.根据权利要求1所述的LCD,其中所述LED模块还包括将所述PCB连接到外部电源的连接器。
5.根据权利要求4所述的LCD,其中所述连接器在所述PCB的下侧伸出。
6.根据权利要求4所述的LCD,其中所述连接器设置在所述PCB的边缘处。
7.根据权利要求1所述的LCD,其中所述连接构件从所述PCB的上侧到下侧地向下延伸穿过所述PCB并被紧固到所述盖组件,并且
所述间隔带构造为在所述连接孔的周围具有开口区域。
8.根据权利要求7所述的LCD,其中所述盖组件包括:
顶部框架,
中间模,和
底部框架,
其中所述PCB耦接到所述底部框架。
9.根据权利要求1所述的LCD,其中所述LED封装包括侧视型LED封装,该侧视型LED封装安装在所述PCB的上表面的一侧从而朝所述PCB的上表面的相对侧发光。
10.根据权利要求1所述的LCD,其中所述LED封装包括配置为接收电力的引线端子,并且
所述PCB还包括配置为容纳所述引线端子的引线端子容纳槽。
11.根据权利要求2所述的LCD,其中所述绝缘层包括感光型阻焊剂。
12.根据权利要求2所述的LCD,其中所述间隔带具有与所述连接构件的头部的厚度实质相等的厚度。
13.根据权利要求2所述的LCD,其中所述间隔带提供在所述绝缘层的上侧,除了所述PCB的端部分之外。
14.根据权利要求13所述的LCD,其中所述绝缘层的没有设置所述间隔带的上侧涂覆有黑色丝状图案。
15.一种液晶模块,包括:
液晶面板;
盖组件,包括配置为覆盖所述液晶面板的边缘的边框;
导光板,配置为引导光到所述液晶面板;以及
发光二极管(LED)模块,包括:
多个LED封装,向所述导光板的侧面发射光,和
印刷电路板(PCB),所述多个LED封装被安装在所述PCB上,所述PCB包括基板和连接孔,该连接孔形成在所述基板中以将所述基板耦接到所述盖组件,
第一连接构件,配置为从所述PCB的上表面插入到所述连接孔中,以将所述LED模块耦接到所述盖组件,并且
其中所述导光板安装在所述PCB上使得所述导光板的端部设置在对应于所述边框的端部的位置处,
其中所述导光板被支撑在所述PCB的基板的前表面上。
16.根据权利要求15所述的液晶模块,其中所述盖组件包括:
顶部框架,包括所述边框并容纳所述液晶面板;
中间模,配置为插入到所述顶部框架中以紧密接触所述边框并支撑所述液晶面板;和
底部框架,配置为插入到所述顶部框架中并支撑所述LED模块;
第二连接构件,配置为将所述顶部框架的顶部侧壁耦接到所述底部框架的底部侧壁。
17.根据权利要求16所述的液晶模块,其中所述底部框架包括:
底部,支撑所述导光板;
基板容纳部,相对于所述底部凹入以容纳所述LED模块;以及
连接器穿过部。
18.根据权利要求17所述的液晶模块,其中所述PCB还包括:
绝缘层,涂覆在所述PCB的上表面上,除了与所述第一连接构件的顶部接触的区域之外;
间隔带,提供在所述绝缘层上并配置为在所述连接孔周围形成台阶差,使得所述PCB的顶表面变得与所述底部平齐以平坦地支撑所述导光板;以及
连接器,配置为通过所述底部框架中的所述连接器穿过部突出到所述液晶模块外面。
19.一种液晶显示器(LCD),包括:
盖组件;
液晶面板;
导光板,配置为引导光到所述液晶面板;
发光二极管(LED)模块,包括印刷电路板(PCB)、多个LED封装,所述导光板安装在所述PCB上,该多个LED封装安装在所述PCB上并向所述导光板的侧面发射光,其中所述PCB包括基板、涂覆在所述基板上的绝缘层以及提供在所述绝缘层的上侧的间隔带;以及
白色带,提供在所述间隔带的上侧并设置在所述LED封装与所述导光板之间,使得从所述LED封装发射的光的一部分被所述白色带反射并被引入到所述导光板。
20.根据权利要求19所述的LCD,还包括具有头部的连接构件,其中所述PCB包括基板、涂覆在所述基板上的绝缘层以及提供在所述绝缘层的上侧的间隔带,所述基板具有连接孔使得所述连接构件能够延伸穿过所述PCB并被紧固到所述盖组件,所述间隔带在所述连接孔的周围具有开口区域。
21.根据权利要求20所述的LCD,其中连接器在所述PCB的下侧伸出。
22.根据权利要求20所述的LCD,其中连接器设置在所述PCB的边缘处。
23.一种液晶显示器(LCD),包括:
盖组件;
液晶面板;
导光板,配置为引导光到所述液晶面板;
发光二极管(LED)模块,包括印刷电路板(PCB)和多个LED封装,所述多个LED封装安装在所述PCB上并向所述导光板的侧面发射光,其中所述PCB包括具有连接孔的基板;
连接构件,位于所述导光板的与所述液晶面板相反的后侧并具有头部,所述连接构件从所述PCB的上表面延伸穿过所述连接孔并被紧固到所述盖组件,以将所述LED模块耦接到所述盖组件,
其中所述导光板安装在所述PCB上。
24.根据权利要求23所述的LCD,其中连接器在所述PCB的下侧伸出。
25.根据权利要求23所述的LCD,其中连接器设置在所述PCB的边缘处。
26.根据权利要求23所述的LCD,其中所述PCB还包括涂覆在所述基板上的绝缘层以及提供在所述绝缘层的上侧的间隔带,所述间隔带在所述连接孔的周围具有开口区域。
27.根据权利要求26所述的LCD,还包括白色带,该白色带提供在所述间隔带的上侧并设置在所述LED封装与所述导光板之间,使得从所述LED封装发射的光的一部分被所述白色带反射并被引入到所述导光板。
