Description

Method and system for broadcasting access control parameters
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of Machine Type Communication (MTC), and more particularly, to a method and system for broadcasting access control parameters.
Background
The cellular wireless communication system mainly comprises a Core Network (CN), an access Network (RAN) and a terminal. The core network is responsible for non-access stratum transactions such as terminal location updates, etc., and is the anchor point for the user plane. The access network comprises base stations and base station control, the access network is responsible for access layer transactions (such as management of radio resources), physical or logical connections can exist between the base stations according to actual conditions, and each base station can be connected with one or more core network nodes. A terminal, i.e. a User Equipment (UE), refers to various devices that can communicate with a cellular wireless communication network, such as a mobile phone or a laptop computer.
Mtc (machine Type communication) service is a service for performing communication between machines. The MTC service obtains data through sensing equipment such as a sensor and the like, then reports the data to a mobile communication network through a communication module, and is accessed to a public data network through the mobile communication network, for example, the MTC service is applied to logistics monitoring, safety monitoring, remote medical detection, remote meter reading and the like. The data is managed by a specific server of a mobile operator or a special MTC operator and can be viewed by MTC users or MTC managers. In this process, the device that acquires the data required by the service is the MTC device.
The MTC service introduces some features different from the conventional mobile communication, such as a group management feature, when the feature is activated, a plurality of MTC devices of the same user may be divided into one group, a network may configure uniform parameters for the whole group, the parameters are applied to all the MTC devices belonging to the group, and an operator sets and activates the group management feature in subscription information of the group of MTC devices, and stores the group management feature in a subscriber home server (HSS). The HSS is an entity in the telecommunications network responsible for storing identity information, authentication information, authorization information, etc. of a user or a terminal device. According to different situations, the HSS can be configured to store the identity information of the user and the binding information between the user and the terminal device, or only store the identity information of the user (the binding information between the user and the terminal device may be stored by the gateway), or directly store the identity information of the terminal device. The HSS is also responsible for the subscription database of the user, and performs authentication and authorization of the user, etc. The service platform may query subscriber or terminal information from the HSS.
When the MTC equipment is attached to a network, a Mobility Management Entity (MME) obtains subscription information of the MTC equipment from an HSS and stores the subscription information locally. The MME is an entity in the core network for managing the user terminal control signaling, and is responsible for access control, including: authentication control, identity (GUTI, TAI list) assignment, user identity and equipment identity verification, signaling plane encryption, consistency protection with an eNB, conversion of security parameters and QoS parameters between a 2G/3G and an Evolved Packet System (EPS), access admission control, determination of whether requested resources can be obtained and reservation of the resources, lawful interception, mobility management (enabling tracking and recording of the current location of the UE), session management, related operations on EPS bearers, network element selection, and the like.
After the MTC technology is introduced, a large number of MTC devices may exist, and when a large number of MTC devices all need to access a network to receive services, the number of signaling for requesting access initiated at the same time is too large, which may cause network congestion, thereby affecting services of other common terminals connected to the network. In order to control the congestion, a method for limiting the MTC equipment to initiate the signaling requesting access in a broadcasting mode is provided, and the method can effectively avoid unnecessary signaling, thereby avoiding signaling overload. When the access control of the MTC equipment is needed, the access control parameters can be broadcasted through a broadcast channel. When broadcasting a new system message, the network needs to inform the terminal by means of paging. The network indicates in the paging message that the system message has changed so that all terminals will immediately read the new system message to obtain the access control parameters.
Therefore, the access control parameters are broadcasted in a manner that all terminals (including MTC devices and normal terminals) read the system messages and obtain the access control parameters, but the congestion control target is only the MTC devices, so that the normal terminals also read the system messages broadcasted for preventing congestion inevitably causes unnecessary energy consumption.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a method and a system for broadcasting access control parameters, which can solve the network congestion caused by a large number of MTC terminals initiating request access signaling simultaneously, and can also solve the problem of energy loss of a common terminal caused by broadcasting access control parameters of MTC devices.

Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present invention is further elaborated below with reference to the drawings and the specific embodiments.
As shown in fig. 1, a method of a first embodiment of a broadcast access control parameter of the present invention includes:
step 101, the base station broadcasts the access control parameters through a broadcast message.
Wherein, the access control parameters comprise: the access-restricted MTC equipment is in a delayed access waiting time; or,
the access control parameters include: the MTC terminal access permission method comprises the following steps of allowing one or more of the grade, the priority and the type of the MTC terminal to be accessed, and the waiting time of delaying access of the MTC terminal to be accessed; or,
the access control parameters include: the MTC terminal is one or more of grade, priority, type, access indication and the waiting time of the MTC terminal for delaying access.
The following two embodiments of determining network congestion and triggering the base station to broadcast the access control parameters are provided:
1. the base station determines that the network is congested when the network load reaches a preset network load threshold value according to the preset network load threshold value, and at the moment, the base station broadcasts the access control parameters through a broadcast message;
2. the core network entity determines that the network is congested when the network load reaches the network load threshold value according to the preset network load threshold value, at the moment, the core network entity sends an access control indication signaling to the base station, wherein the access control signaling carries access control parameters, and the base station extracts the access control parameters and broadcasts the access control parameters through a broadcast message.
Wherein, the network load threshold may be: the network element load rate (unit percentage, for example, the network element load rate reaches 90%), or the size of the occupied bandwidth, or the ratio of the occupied bandwidth to the total bandwidth provided by the network, and the like. When the network load reaches the predetermined network load threshold value, access of the MTC terminal needs to be restricted in order to guarantee the service quality of the general terminal.
In the embodiment of the invention, the access control parameters comprise: the rank, or priority, or type of the access-restricted MTC terminal, and/or the latency of the access-restricted MTC device to delay access. Therefore, the access control parameter indicates a certain class of currently restricted access MTC terminals, or a certain type of priority MTC terminals, or may indicate the time for the restricted access MTC terminals to delay access, and when the access time arrives, the MTC terminals may initiate a signaling requesting access to the network, thereby accessing the network. If the access control parameters do not indicate the time for delaying the access of the access-restricted MTC terminals, the MTC terminals are prohibited from accessing the network, and when the MTC terminals are allowed to access the network, the base station can also perform notification through a broadcast message.
There are two ways to carry the access control parameters in the broadcast message:
1. access control parameters as an independent system message block: adding a new System Information Block (SIB) in a broadcast message of an existing system, wherein the new SIB is used for carrying access control parameters and is dedicated to MTC terminals;
2. access control parameters as part of the existing system message block: the system information block 2(SIB2) in the broadcast message of the existing system is extended. An AC (access class) indication parameter is added to the SIB2 to indicate that the newly added AC is an MTC terminal-specific AC, and the new AC also carries an access control parameter.
When a terminal needs to read a broadcast message and acquire an access control parameter, specifically: the access control parameters may be obtained by reading the newly added SIB in the broadcast message or the AC indication parameters in SIB 2.
Step 102, the base station sends a paging message to the terminal.
103, the MTC terminal judges whether to read the broadcast message according to whether the paging message contains a special field; the dedicated field is used for instructing the MTC terminal to read the broadcast message.
The base station needs to instruct the MTC terminal to read the broadcast message through the paging message, specifically, a dedicated field is added in the existing paging message, the dedicated field is referred to as MTC _ Indication in the present invention, and of course, the dedicated field may be named according to actual needs as long as the dedicated field can instruct the MTC terminal to read the broadcast message. The embodiment of the paging message set by the base station of the invention is as follows:
Paging::=SEQUENCE{
pagingRecordList (for indicating a single terminal ID that needs to be paged)
systemlnfomodification (for indicating general system messages need updating)
etws-Indication (for indicating the need to read earthquake alarm information)
MTC _ Indication (new dedicated field for indicating need to read MTC related information, i.e. need to read broadcast message)
}
It should be noted that the paging message is sent to all terminals, including all MTC terminals and all normal terminals.
When the MTC terminal determines that the paging message contains the special field, the MTC terminal reads the broadcast message carrying the access control parameter; otherwise, it is not read. For a normal terminal, it ignores the dedicated field, i.e., whether the normal terminal reads the broadcast message does not depend on the dedicated field.
Further, values of dedicated fields may also be set, such as: for the MTC terminal, when it determines that the dedicated field is true (or other values, such as 0 or 1), the MTC terminal reads the broadcast message and obtains the access control parameters therein; otherwise, the broadcast information is not read; for the normal terminal, when reading the paging message, the dedicated field is ignored, only the systemlnfodification and etws-Indication fields are read, and when neither field has a value of true, the normal terminal does not read the broadcast message.
Therefore, if the broadcast message is only used for broadcasting the access control parameters, the fields of systemlnfo modification and etws-Indication in the paging message set by the base station are not both true, and after all terminals receive the paging message, only the MTC terminal will read the broadcast message, and the normal terminal will not read the broadcast message, thus saving the energy of the normal terminal.
It should be noted that the dedicated field set in the paging message in the present invention is specifically used for indicating the MTC terminal, so the common terminal may ignore the dedicated field, and therefore, even if the common terminal needs to read the broadcast message, the access control parameter in the broadcast message may not be acquired.
As shown in fig. 2, after the step 103, the method for broadcasting the access control parameter of the present invention further includes:
and step 104, after reading the broadcast message, the MTC terminal determines whether its own class, priority, or type is contained in the broadcast message according to the acquired access control parameter, and determines whether to initiate access to the network.
The specific implementation can be divided into the following three cases:
the access control parameter comprises: when the MTC terminal with restricted access has one or more of grade, priority, type and waiting time of delayed access of the MTC terminal with restricted access: the MTC terminal judges whether the grade, the priority or the type of the MTC terminal is contained in the grade, the priority or the type of the MTC terminal which is limited to be accessed in the access control parameters; if the judgment result is yes, the MTC terminal does not initiate access to the network or delays to initiate access to the network; and if the judgment result is negative, the MTC terminal initiates access to the network.
Secondly, the access control parameters comprise: when the MTC terminal allowed to access is in one or more of grade, priority, type and waiting time of the MTC terminal allowed to access for delaying access: the MTC terminal judges whether the grade, the priority or the type of the MTC terminal is contained in the grade, the priority or the type of the MTC terminal which is allowed to be accessed in the access control parameters; if the judgment result is yes, the MTC terminal immediately initiates access to the network or delays to initiate access to the network; and if the judgment result is negative, the MTC terminal does not initiate access to the network.
Thirdly, the access control parameters comprise: when the MTC terminal is in one or more of grade, priority, type, access indication and waiting time of MTC terminal delayed access:
the MTC terminal judges whether the grade, the priority or the type of the MTC terminal is contained in the grade, the priority or the type of the MTC terminal in the access control parameters;
if the judgment result is yes and the access indication is access restriction, the MTC terminal does not initiate access to the network or delays to initiate access to the network;
if the judgment result is negative and the access indication is access restriction, the MTC terminal initiates access to the network;
if the judgment result is yes and the access indication is allowed to be accessed, the MTC terminal immediately initiates access to the network or delays to initiate access to the network;
and if the judgment result is negative and the access indication is allowed, the MTC terminal does not initiate access to the network.
In order to implement the above method, the present invention provides a system for broadcasting access control parameters, as shown in fig. 3, including: a base station and an MTC terminal; wherein,
the base station broadcasts the access control parameters through the broadcast message; the terminal is also used for sending a paging message to the terminal;
the MTC terminal is used for judging whether to read the broadcast message according to whether the paging message contains the special field; the dedicated field is used for instructing the MTC terminal to read the broadcast message.
The base station is also used for broadcasting in the broadcast message by the newly added SIB carrying access control parameters; or, adding an AC indication parameter to the SIB2 in the broadcast message, and broadcasting the access control parameter carried by the AC indication parameter.
The MTC terminal is also used for reading the broadcast message when the paging message contains the special field.
The MTC terminal is also used for reading the newly added SIB in the broadcast message or the AC indication parameter in the SIB2 and acquiring the access control parameter.
The access control parameters include one or more of: the rank, the priority, the type of the access-restricted MTC terminal, and the latency of the access-restricted MTC terminal for delaying access.
Correspondingly, the MTC terminal is further configured to determine, after reading the broadcast message, whether the class, priority, or type of the MTC terminal is included in the class, priority, or type of the access-restricted MTC terminal in the access control parameter, and if the determination result is yes, not initiate access to the network or delay initiating access to the network; and if the judgment result is negative, initiating access to the network.
The access control parameters include one or more of: the grade, priority and type of the MTC terminal allowed to be accessed, and the waiting time of the MTC terminal allowed to be accessed for delaying access;
correspondingly, the MTC terminal is further configured to determine whether the class, priority, or type of the MTC terminal is included in the class, priority, or type of the MTC terminal allowed to access in the access control parameter after reading the broadcast message; if the judgment result is yes, the access is initiated to the network immediately or the access is initiated to the network in a delayed manner; if the judgment result is negative, the access is not initiated to the network.
The access control parameters include one or more of: the grade, the priority, the type and the access indication of the MTC terminal and the waiting time of the MTC terminal for delaying access;
correspondingly, the MTC terminal is further configured to determine, after reading the broadcast message, whether the class, priority, or type of the MTC terminal is included in the class, priority, or type of the MTC terminal in the access control parameters;
if the judgment result is yes and the access indication is access restriction, the access is not initiated to the network or the access is initiated to the network in a delayed manner;
if the judgment result is negative and the access indication is access restriction, initiating access to the network;
if the judgment result is yes and the access indication is access allowance, immediately initiating access to the network or delaying initiating access to the network;
and if the judgment result is negative and the access indication is access allowance, not initiating access to the network.
And the base station is also used for judging that the network is congested when the network load reaches the network load threshold value according to the preset network load threshold value, and broadcasting the access control parameters through the broadcast message.

correspondingly, the base station is further configured to extract the access control parameter from the access control indication signaling and broadcast the access control parameter through a broadcast message.
The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
