Description

MBMS service processing method and system, and UE processing method and device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) processing technology, and in particular, to a method and a system for processing a Multimedia Broadcast multicast service, and a method and an apparatus for processing a User Equipment (UE) of an MBMS service.
Background
With the rapid development of the internet and the popularization of large-screen multifunctional mobile phones, a large number of mobile data multimedia services and various high-bandwidth multimedia services, such as: video conference, television broadcasting, video on demand, video advertisement, online education, interactive games and the like, not only meet the continuously rising business requirements of mobile users, but also bring new business growth points for mobile operators. These mobile data multimedia services require that multiple users can receive the same data at the same time, and compared with general data services, the mobile data multimedia services have the characteristics of large data volume, long duration, time delay sensitivity and the like. In order to efficiently utilize mobile network resources, the third Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP) proposes an MBMS service. The MBMS service is a technology for transmitting data from one data source to multiple targets, and realizes sharing of network (including core network and access network) resources, and improves utilization rate of network resources (especially air interface resources). The MBMS service defined by 3GPP can not only implement message multicast and broadcast of plain text at low rate, but also implement broadcast and multicast of high-speed multimedia service, and provide a variety of rich video, audio, and multimedia services, which undoubtedly follows the development trend of future mobile data, and provides better service prospects for the development of third Generation (3G, 3rd Generation) digital communication.
In the Long Term Evolution (LTE) R10 version, a mechanism is being discussed to help a network side to know the receiving condition of a certain MBMS service at a UE side, and through the mechanism, the network side can know whether a certain MBMS service is received by the UE. Thus, for those MBMS services that are not received by the UE, the network side may stop transmitting the MBMS service. This can help the network side to save power and spectrum resources. But specifically what mechanism is used is currently under discussion. Some modes may be referred to, for example, the network side actively triggers and requires the UE to report whether the UE is receiving a certain MBMS service, or the UE side actively reports MBMS service information that the UE is receiving, and the like.
By adopting the above-mentioned mechanism for obtaining the UE receiving condition of a certain MBMS service, energy saving on the network side can be achieved, but some problems are also brought, for example, since the network side initiated statistics for a certain MBMS service is periodically or event triggered, instead of the real-time counting result, if the network side performs counting result for a certain MBMS service, if the MBMS service is not currently received by the UE, the network side stops transmitting the MBMS service, if, however, after a while, some UEs (which may have just accessed the network or which are receiving other MBMS services while counting) are interested in the MBMS service that is switched off without UE reception, when receiving, since the MBMS service is closed, the newly accessed UE or the UE newly switched to receive the closed MBMS service will not receive the MBMS service. However, the MBMS service and the tv program are both scheduled to be played in advance, during the playing of the MBMS service, the UE should receive the corresponding MBMS service at any time, but since the network side stops the MBMS service and does not inform the UE in advance, the users of the UEs do not know the reason why the MBMS service cannot be received, and do not know whether the MBMS service is caused by the UE or the network side, which brings great inconvenience to the users and degrades the user experience.

Detailed Description
The basic idea of the invention is that a parameter list is added in the MCCH to bear the related information of the MBMS stopped to be sent by the network side, so that when the UE side monitors the MCCH, the UE side can determine the information of the MBMS stopped to be sent by the network side at present through analyzing the related information in the parameter list, and the UE does not receive the MBMS stopped to be sent any more and can inform the user in time; the corresponding selection is made by the user: and the MBMS service is not received any more or a request for retransmitting the MBMS service is sent to the network side.
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings by way of examples.
The main purpose of the invention is to configure and send the MBMS information closed by the network side in the MCCH aiming at the MBMS closed by the network side, so that the UE can know which MBMS are currently stopped to be sent by the network side after receiving the MCCH. And for the MBMS service which stops sending, the UE reminds the user through a human-computer interface.
Currently, only the related information of the MBMS service being transmitted is carried in the MCCH, but in the technical solution of the present invention, the MBMS service configuration information in the MCCH changes, for example, a network side needs to configure MBMS service information for stopping transmission in the MCCH. Meanwhile, the technical scheme of the present invention changes the behavior of the existing UE, for example, after the technical scheme of the present invention is adopted, the UE monitors the MCCH before receiving the MBMS service of interest, and needs to determine whether the MBMS service of interest to be received by the UE has been stopped being transmitted by the network side, and if the MBMS service of interest to be received by the UE has been stopped being transmitted, the UE stops receiving the subsequent related information. Meanwhile, the UE displays some reminding information for the user through a human-computer interface, and then the user determines the follow-up operation.
The MBMS service for which transmission is stopped and the MBMS service for which the network side is turned off are mainly those for which transmission is stopped or turned off when no UE reception is found after reception status statistics is performed via the network side.
The essence of the technical solution of the present invention is further illustrated by the following specific examples.
Example one
In the invention, a new parameter list is required to be added in the MCCH for bearing the MBMS information which is closed because no UE receives the MBMS after being counted by a network side. In the invention, the purpose of setting the MBMS information is to uniquely identify one MBMS, so that the UE can conveniently confirm which MBMS is closed by the network side.
Several specific representation modes of the MBMS service information are further given below. The MBMS service identifier may be a service identifier (serviceId), a sessionId of the MBMS service, an identifier of a Physical Multicast Channel (PMCH) in which the MBMS service is located, and one or more combinations of Logical Channel Identifiers (LCIDs) of Multicast Traffic Channels (MTCHs) in which the MBMS service is located. When combining, the purpose of uniquely identifying one MBMS service in the MCCH needs to be achieved. For example, only the serviceId of the MBMS service may be used, because the number of bits of the serviceId is large and there are 24 bits, one MBMS service may be uniquely identified in the MCCH. For example, a combination of the PMCH identifier and the LCID of the MTCH may also be used, and in one MCCH, the combination may uniquely identify one MBMS service, and the overhead of this manner is 9 bits. Wherein, PMCH marks as 4bit, LCID is 5 bit. The above description is only an exemplary illustration, and the present invention is not limited to the above identification manner for the MBMS service.
In the invention, when the parameter list is added at different positions in the MCCH, the specific forms of the MBMS service information in the parameter list are different, thus causing different signaling overheads. A schematic illustration of the location of the added parameter list in the MCCH is given below. Specifically, as shown in table 1:
Figure BSA00000204970300081
TABLE 1
Wherein, the thickened part is a newly added parameter list, and the specific name of the parameter list is not required. The newly added parameter list is located at the same position as common sf-A1loc-r9, common sf-AllocPeriod-r9 and pmch-InfoList-r9 in the MCCH, and the MBMS service information that is stopped being transmitted by the network side may be further added to the newly added parameter list.
According to the present invention, when the network side finds that the MBMS service 1 is not currently received by the UE after one-time statistics or in other manners, the network side may place the related information of the MBMS service 1 in the parameter list, so that when the UE wants to receive the MBMS service 1 again, the UE must first receive the MCCH where the MBMS service 1 is located to determine the control information, the scheduling information, and the like of the UE, and when the UE receives the MCCH, it can find that the MBMS service 1 is located in the added parameter list in the MCCH, then the UE will stop receiving the other control information of the MBMS service 1 at this time, and meanwhile, according to the set rule of the present invention, the UE can know that the MBMS service 1 has been stopped being transmitted by the network side, and the reason for stopping transmission is that the network side stops transmitting because the UE does not receive during the statistics. The UE may indicate to the user through the human-machine interface of the UE that the MBMS service 1 has been stopped from transmitting due to no UE reception as a reason. Thus, when the user of the UE sees the prompt message on the human-computer interface, the user can know the reason why the MBMS service 1 stops transmitting. The UE of the invention can also output prompt information to the user of the UE on the human-computer interface of the UE to prompt how to operate currently to receive the MBMS service 1 when the user is interested in receiving the MBMS service 1. For example, if a user of the UE is prompted to be interested in the MBMS service 1, a service request may be initiated for the MBMS service 1 to request the network to retransmit the MBMS service 1. The MBMS service request can be directly displayed on a human-computer interface, so that the user operation is facilitated. The specific prompting information is determined by the prompting mode set in the UE. The present invention is not limited to the above-described manner.
Thus, the MBMS service 1 information is placed in the parameter list added in the MCCH, and some friendly prompt information is output to the user of the UE in the human-computer interface of the UE, so that the user experience can be greatly improved.
Example two
The embodiment is a technical scheme improved on the basis of the first embodiment.
When the network side stops sending an MBMS service that is not received by the UE, the corresponding network side needs to place the relevant information of the MBMS service in the parameter list newly added to the MCCH.
In the first embodiment, the information identifying the MBMS service is placed in a parameter list newly added to the MCCH. In this embodiment, on the basis of the first embodiment, in addition to the information identifying the MBMS service stopped by the network side, some control information related to the MBMS service stopped by the network side is placed in an additional parameter list. The related control information is information that needs to be configured in the MCCH originally when the MBMS service is normally transmitted, and specifically includes: information of PMCH where the MBMS is located, information related to the MBMS in the PMCH and the like. The information continues to be configured and generated by a Multi-cell/Multicast Coordination Entity (MCE) and is sent to the relevant base station, and the base station updates the information in a parameter list newly added to the MCCH and sends the MCCH to the UE. The base station continues to generate MCH Scheduling Information (MSI) of the MBMS service and transmits it to the UE. However, the base station does not transmit the MTCH, which is the data of the MBMS service. In this way, after receiving the request for re-sending the stopped MBMS service initiated by the UE, the network side can immediately start the MBMS service for re-sending, so that the user experience effect is increased.
Or, the control information related to the stopped MBMS service is information that needs to be configured in the MCCH originally when the MBMS service is normally transmitted. Wherein the information is generated continuously by MCE configuration and is transmitted to the relevant base station, the base station updates the information in the parameter list of MCCH new addition and transmits the MCCH to the UE. The base station does not generate MSI of the MBMS service and does not transmit MTCH, which is data of the MBMS service. In this way, compared to the foregoing way, after receiving the UE initiated request for re-sending the stopped MBMS service, the network side will start the re-sending of the MBMS service slightly slowly, and the base station needs to generate the MSI again before re-sending the stopped MBMS service requested by the UE.
Or, the network side stops the transmission of the control information related to the stopped MBMS service, that is, the network side does not generate the information that needs to be configured in the MCCH when the MBMS service is normally transmitted. The base station no longer generates MSI information. In this case, the network side may send other MBMS services on the MBMS service resources that have stopped sending, or release these MBMS resources, or send other non-MBMS services. In this way, after receiving the request initiated by the UE for retransmitting the stopped MBMS service, the network side may start the retransmission of the stopped MBMS service very slowly, and the network side may need to reconfigure the entire MBMS service control plane information, and sometimes may not transmit the requested MBMS service because there is no resource due to the shortage of system resources, and therefore, sometimes even may not restart the transmission of the stopped MBMS service.
The network side needs to record the progress information of the MBMS service transmitted according to the original transmission rule, that is, when the network side retransmits the MBMS service, the transmission is started from the new progress, and the part that has not been transmitted before is skipped over directly.
As an example, the present invention is not limited to the way of adding the parameter list to the MCCH to indicate the MBMS service that the network side stops transmitting, but the corresponding indication bit may be added to the PMCH related information in the MCCH to indicate the MBMS service that the network side stops transmitting. The processing method for indicating the mode of the MBMS service that is stopped being transmitted by the network side based on the indication bit is substantially the same as the aforementioned MBMS service processing method based on the parameter list as in the aforementioned first and second embodiments, and details of implementation thereof are not repeated here.
