A method is provided for the control of a switchable water pump for a water cooling circuit in an internal combustion engine. The method includes, but is not limited to, monitoring a parameter representative of the cylinder head temperature; and in case the temperature is below a predetermined value, performing at least an on-off cycle for the switchable water pump. The on-off cycle, includes, but is not limited to, at least a first phase in which the water pump is switched OFF for a time period T1 and a second phase in which the water pump is switched ON for a time period T2.
Description
Technical field
The present invention relates to a kind of method that is used for the changeable water pump control of internal-combustion engine.
Background technique
In the modern times, the internal-combustion engine cooling system of motor generally includes water pump and suitable water cooling loop.
This water pump can be the water pump that can switch, and promptly can close so that the energy-conservation energy and the pump of heated engine faster.
Yet, usually following problem can appear: close pump for a long time and can cause the temperature of cylinder head too high in using changeable water pump.
And, if use the water-cooled cooler for recycled exhaust gas, the closing pump and can cause too much NO of long time
XDischarging.
At last, it is too much to open the oversize energy that consumes of causing of time of pump.
Summary of the invention
The objective of the invention is to design a kind of method that is used for the changeable water pump control of internal-combustion engine, it has realized the optimal compromise between low energy consumption and the high motor performance.
Another purpose is that the computing capability without complex apparatus and the electronic control unit (ECU) by utilizing vehicle provides a kind of control strategy for changeable water pump.
Another object of the present invention is to satisfy these targets by simple, reasonable and cheap solution.
These purposes are by a kind of method, by a kind of motor, by a kind of computer program and computer program, and the electromagnetic signal of the feature by having the main aspect of the present invention is achieved.
Others of the present invention have been described preferred and/or particularly advantageous embodiment of the present invention.
The present invention provides a kind of method for the changeable water pump control in the water cooling loop in the internal-combustion engine, it is characterized in that, monitor the parameter of representing cylinder head temperature, be lower than in described temperature under the situation of predetermined value, carry out at least once opening and closing of described changeable water pump and circulate, described keying circulation comprises that water pump is closed phase I at least and the water pump that the time cycle is T1 and is switched on the second stage that the time cycle is T2.
Preferred water pump to close period T 1 longer than 2 times of connection period T of water pump.
Ratio between preferred period of time T 2 and the period of time T 1 is less than 1/30.
And when being higher than the predetermined value of cylinder head temperature, changeable water pump is always connected.
The method according to this invention can with comprise program-code with realize method of the present invention computer program in steps form and realize with the form of the computer program of the equipment that comprises computer program.
Computer program comprises, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, is used for the control apparatus of IC motor, and for example the ECU of motor has wherein stored described program so that control apparatus limits the present invention in the mode identical with described method. In the case, when the control apparatus computer program, realized the method according to this invention the institute in steps.
The method according to this invention can also electromagnetic signal form realize, described signal be modulated to carry representative realize method of the present invention the data bit of a definite sequence of computer program in steps.
Description of drawings
By example the present invention is described referring now to accompanying drawing, wherein:
Fig. 1 is the more relevant experimental curve diagram between several parameters of hydraulic motor with strategy of the present invention and other pump strategies; And
Fig. 2 be with to NO of the present invention
XDischarging and the NO of accumulation
XThe influence of discharging about and with to the influence of the fuel consumption of fuel consumption of the present invention and accumulation relevant experimental curve diagram.
Embodiment
Now under the help of described accompanying drawing, the preferred embodiments of the present invention are described.
According to the present invention, the method that is used for the changeable water pump control of internal-combustion engine comprises the stage of the temperature that monitors cylinder head.
If the temperature of cylinder head is lower than predetermined value, the keying of so changeable some row of pump working circulation, it is the stage of T2 that described circulation has at least one stage and the water pump connection cycle that the water pump cycle of closing is T1.
Preferred cycle T1 is longer than 2 times of period T.
Have been found that it is favourable using than connecting the period T 2 long period T 1 of closing that many.
More particularly, have been found that the ratio between period of time T 2 and the period of time T 1 is equal to or less than 1/30.
As an example, the period of time T 2 that water pump is connected is 2 seconds or littler, and the period of time T 1 that water pump cuts out can be 60 seconds or bigger.According to circumstances can adopt other time value.
Preferably, when the temperature of cylinder head was higher than predetermined value, changeable water pump was always connected.
According to the preferred embodiment of this method, changeable water pump is always connected when cylinder head temperature is higher than 80 degrees centigrade at least.
Described temperature value is indicative fully, can according to circumstances set other predetermined value.
The effect of the continuous on-state by changeable water pump, if cylinder head temperature is lower than described predetermined value, the repetition that can circulate as mentioned above of the closing of water pump-connection stage.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, monitor the temperature of cylinder head, but do not deviate from design of the present invention described here, in alternative, can monitor the different parameters of hydraulic motor of representation temperature.
The changeable water pump controlling method of the application of the invention can realize following result.
Shown in the experimental curve diagram of Fig. 1, the cylinder head temperature that reaches with this method is in close proximity to the temperature of the cylinder head that is issued in water pump connection situation always.
Can find out from the experimental curve diagram of Fig. 2, to NO
XThe NO of discharging and accumulation
XThe influence of discharging is that these effulents roughly with under the situation that water pump is always connected are in identical level and are lower than the situation that water pump always cuts out.
At last, can find out that the fuel consumption of the strategy of employing these methods of the present invention is in close proximity to the fuel consumption when water pump always cuts out from the identical experimental curve diagram of Fig. 2.
About reducing of fuel consumption, these facts are very significant.
Another advantage of the present invention is that it can adopt the changeable water pump (SWP) of simple on-off to carry out, and is closed when covering with cooling cylinder at changeable water pump and does not require remaining water cycle, has avoided the increase of component costs.
At last, a kind of new Europe drives the fuel economy in circulate (New European Driving Cycle, i.e. NEDC), and it is considered to represent the typical use of vehicle, has used method of the present invention to carry out measuring and being about 2%.
Although described the present invention with respect to some preferred embodiment and specific application, but it is to be understood that above-described in this article description is by it will be understood by those skilled in the art that of obtaining of example rather than restriction specific embodiment various to be modified in the scope of appended claims. Therefore, purpose is the invention is not restricted to disclosed embodiment, but is that it has the gamut by the language permission of claims.
