技术领域
本发明一般地涉及传感器,并且更特别地涉及用于燃烧控制的光学探询(interrogation)传感器。
背景技术
现代工业燃气涡轮机要求高效地转换能量同时产生最少的污染排放物。但这两个要求是互相对立的,因为更高的效率一般通过升高燃烧室中的整体气体温度实现,而诸如氮氧化物的污染物典型地通过降低最高气体温度而减少。最高气体温度可通过在燃烧室中保持稀空燃比而降低,但如果燃料/空气混合物过稀,则不完全的燃料燃烧可产生过量的一氧化碳和未燃烧的烃。因此,反应区中的温度必须足够支持完全燃烧。
为了平衡对于增加的效率和减少的排放的相冲突的需要,要求极端精确的控制来调节燃烧器的反应区中的燃料/空气混合物。已提出这种系统:其用于通过监视各种燃烧参数来控制燃料/空气混合物,并且使用测得参数作为输入来控制燃料系统。例如,一种常规的系统包括控制系统,其中利用燃料流率、压力水平和排气温度分布作为用于设定燃料平稳控制阀的输入。

已提出用于涡轮机中的质量流量感测技术。例如,基于激光的多普勒频移测量系统可用于确定涡轮机进气管道中的空气流量,并且已提出类似系统,其用于通过对比来自不同频率的两个光发生器(激光器)的吸收特征而测量静态温度。依然需要用于提供光学传感器的改进的系统和方法。
发明内容

根据本发明的一个示例实施例,提供了一种用于控制与燃气涡轮机燃烧器相关的燃烧参数的方法。该方法可包括:提供穿过燃气涡轮机燃烧器的光路;使光沿着该光路传播;测量燃气涡轮机燃烧器内光的吸收;以及至少部分地基于测得的吸收控制燃烧参数中的至少一个。

根据本发明的示例性实施例,两个或更多的光学端口118、120可在各种位置定位在燃烧器102上,以在沿空气/燃料-火焰-排气通路的不同点处测量燃烧物质。根据示例性实施例,在燃烧器102内传播的准直光119可与燃烧物质相互作用,并且由于与物质的路径平均相互作用,可经历可与燃烧器102内特定化学物质的浓度关联的特定波长光谱衰减。
根据本发明的一个示例性实施例,穿过输出光学端口120离开燃烧器102的光谱衰减光可经过透镜122或凹镜124,以产生用于使用一个或多个探测器126进行感测的汇聚光束123。根据本发明的示例性实施例,可为所关心的特定波长光谱窗口内的响应而选择光学探测器126。例如,可由于其对波长光谱的紫外线部分的敏感性而选择碳化硅(SiC)光电探测器。根据另一实施例,可利用硅(Si)光电探测器来在约400至约1000nm的光谱中监视来自化学物质的发射。根据另一示例性实施例,可选择铟镓砷化物(InGaAs)光敏二极管来测量约1000至约1700nm光谱中的红外线波长。由探测器126探测到的光学信号可由探测器126转换为电信号,该电信号可由探测器电子装置128进一步处理(过滤、放大等)。来自探测器电子装置128的输出电信号可被燃烧器控制系统130用来动态地调节燃烧器参数(空燃比、燃料分配、质量流量、燃料喷嘴声学阻抗、空气流量分配等)以优化燃烧器的参数。
图2a描绘了按照本发明的示例性实施例的光学探询系统,光源发射器111可包括可调谐激光器。在另一示例性实施例中,光源发射器111可为固定波长激光器。在再另一示例性实施例中,光源发射器111、202可包括多个激光器或多个线性激光器。根据另一示例性实施例,光源发射器111可包括宽带光源,例如受激发射放大(ASE)源、超连续源(supercontinuum source)或超辐射发光二极管(SLED)。
用于探询燃烧器102内的化学物质的测量系统的设计细节可取决于相关化学物质,并且复杂性的范围可从具有单个探测器126的单线激光光源111至具有附加光学元件以使光谱的部分能够分辨和测量的可调谐激光器或ASE源。现将参照图2a-2c讨论根据本发明的示例性实施例的各种示例性光学系统和检测方案。
基本固定激光器探询实施例
根据一个示例性实施例,并且如上所述,可利用单线激光器或激光器二极管作为光源111。可调节来自激光器的窄带发射,以匹配所关心的化学物质的吸收带。例如,H2O具有接近1.45μm、1.95μm和2.5μm的吸收带;CH4具有接近1.65μm的吸收带;CO具有接近1.55μm的吸收带;C2具有接近518nm的吸收带;CH具有接近530nm的吸收带;OH具有接近310nm的吸收带;而NO具有接近226nm的吸收带。通过将光源111的发射波长与这些吸收波长的一个或多个进行匹配,并且通过选择适当的光学探测器126,可测量输入光能与输出光能的比率并且将其与所关心的燃烧物质的相对浓度关联。
多个激光器探询实施例
根据一个示例性实施例,多个激光源111、202和多个相应探测器126、214可用来同时测量多种燃烧物质,或用来通过采用标准化方法更精确地测量单一燃烧物质,如随后将要描述的。在一个示例性实施例中,一个或多个光源111、202可联入并且可经由相应的光学波导114、214发送到共用镜头116和输入端口118,并且可利用共线(或大致平行)但空间上分离的光路204、205并且可离开共用输出端口120,且可借助于光路分离或发射角使用相应的光学探测器126、214进行探测。在另一实施例中(未在图2a中示出,但在图1中暗示),该多个光源可跟随单独的通路并且可利用专门的光学装置(镜头、镜子、输入和输出端口、探测器等)。
可调谐激光器探询实施例

根据本发明的示例性实施例,光源202可包括宽带光源,例如受激发射放大(ASE)源、超连续源或超辐射发光二极管(SLED)源。在这些实施例中,覆盖源的发射带宽内一定光谱的波长的光子可同时探询燃烧器102内的化学物质,以产生组合吸收光谱。根据示例性实施例,并且参照图2b和图2c,透射光栅208或反射光栅210可用来在激光已穿过燃烧器102内的化学物质并与其相互作用之后在角度上分离宽带光的光谱分量((λ1,λ2,...λn)。然后可通过探测器阵列216中的多个(空间上分离的)探测器分辨和探测在角度上分离的光。所得到的探测信号可代表燃烧器102内组合化学物质的吸收光谱。然后可将测得的吸收光谱与所关心的化学物质的相对浓度关联,并且可利用其控制燃烧器102的参数。根据另一示例性实施例,可将一个或多个滤光器215(二色滤光器、法布里珀罗(Fabry Perot)滤光器等)放置在光路上,以将测得光谱限定在所关心的波长带。光在燃烧器前或后的过滤(在到达探测器前)可简化探测器布置,并且可用来消除对光栅或多个探测器的需要。将过滤器215放置在探测器上方还可用来减少例如来自火焰区域的不希望有的杂散光。可采用上述实施例的许多组合和变型而不脱离本发明的范围。因此,应该理解的是,本发明并不局限于所公开的特定实施例。
图1和图2a还示出了代表探测器电子装置128和燃烧控制系统130的方框。根据一个示例性实施例,探测器电子装置128可操作以调节、放大、过滤和处理来自光学探测器126、214、216的信号。探测器电子装置128还可提供用于自动调节任何相应的光学元件的位置的控制。来自探测器电子装置的输出信号可用作用于燃烧控制系统130的控制信号。例如,根据本发明的一个实施例,CH4的测得浓度,或CH4与CO2的测得比率,可用作燃烧控制系统130中的反馈,并且可提供用以动态地调节空燃比的控制。
现将参照图3的流程图描述用于测量燃烧器102内的化学物质以及用于基于测量结果控制燃烧特性的示例性方法。在方框302中开始并且根据本发明的一个示例性实施例,可提供光源111和光源控制器112。可在所关心的区域106、110附近在涡轮机管式燃烧器102的本体中提供至少一条光路,包括光学输入端口118和输出端口120,以允许来自光源111的光穿过燃烧器102传播,以通过光学吸收监视燃烧器102内存在的化学物质。光学端口118、120可由抗高温透光材料如石英、蓝宝石或其它具有低损耗以及适合所关心的波长的传输带宽的合适材料构成。在可选的方框304中,如果需要,可在输入端口118附近提供准直仪116,以校正来自光源111的光的任何光束发散并且准直光束119。在输出端口120附近,可提供聚焦装置以聚集离开燃烧器102的已修正光。根据示例性实施例,聚焦装置可为镜头122或凹镜124。在方框306中,可在输出端口120附近提供终止光电探测器126,且其可操作以接收由输出镜头122或镜子124提供的聚焦或聚集的光123。
方框308、310和312表示可使吸收信号测量标准化,以通过测量吸收信号并除以标准化信号而增加测量精度和灵敏度。在方框312中,根据一个示例性实施例,标准化信号可由在光穿过燃烧器102传播前测量来自光源111的光的一部分而产生。此类信号可能已经在光源控制器112可获得,因为典型光源控制器利用内部探测器来监视光源111的光功率以进行反馈控制。根据本发明的其它示例性实施例,可使用外部分光器和分离的探测器(未示出)获得标准化信号,以在光穿过燃烧器102传播前捕捉和探测光的一部分。方框310表示通过引导光穿过燃烧器102中的光路并通过在一个或多个终止光电探测器126、214、216处测量波长变化和/或时间变化吸收信号而获得吸收信号。方框312表示可通过将吸收信号(分子)除以标准化信号(分母)而获得标准化的测量信号。根据一个示例性实施例,由于标准化方法可以是可选的,所以如果吸收信号未被标准化,则可将分母设为1。
在方框316中,所提取的吸收光谱和/或时间变化测量信息可用来控制并优化燃烧器102的燃烧特性。例如,所提取的燃烧参数可在反馈控制环中用来调节燃料流量、空燃比、燃烧器间的燃料分配等。
受益于在前述说明和相关附图中提出的教导,本发明所属领域的技术人员会想到本发明的许多改型和其它实施例。因此,应该理解的是,本发明并不局限于所公开的特定实施例,并且改型和其它实施例旨在包括在任何所附权利要求的保护范围内。虽然文中采用特定用语,但仅在普通和描述性的意义上使用它们且目的不在于进行限制。
Claims (20)
1.一种用于控制与燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)相关的燃烧参数的方法,所述方法包括:
提供穿过所述燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)的光路(204);
使光沿着所述光路(204)传播;
测量所述燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)内的所述光的吸收;以及
至少部分地基于测得的吸收而控制所述燃烧参数中的至少一个。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,提供光路(204)包括提供输入光学端口(118)、输出光学端口(120)和至少一个光电探测器(126)。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,使光沿着所述光路(204)传播包括提供光源(111)、光学波导(114)和准直仪(116),所述准直仪(116)用于沿着所述光路(204)引导来自所述光源(111)的光。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,使光沿着所述光路(204)传播包括提供至少一个光栅(208,210)或过滤器(215),用于分离与所述光相关的光谱信息。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,使光沿着所述光路(204)传播包括传播窄带光辐射以测量吸收。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,使光沿着所述光路(204)传播包括传播在大约225纳米至大约3微米之间的波长范围内可调谐的光以测量吸收光谱。
7.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,使光沿着所述光路(204)传播包括传播宽带光辐射以测量吸收光谱。
8.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述方法还包括:
测量与所述光的一部分相关的至少一个标准化信号;以及
至少部分地基于所述至少一个标准化信号测量所述燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)内的所述光的吸收。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其特征在于,所述方法还包括:
至少部分地基于测得的吸收和所述至少一个标准化信号控制所述燃烧参数中的至少一个。
10.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述燃烧参数包括以下参数中的至少一个:燃料流率、燃料流量分配或空燃比。
11.一种用于控制与燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)相关的燃烧参数的系统,所述系统包括:
至少一个光电探测器(126),其与穿过所述燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)的光路(204)通讯;
至少一个光源(111),其可操作以使光沿着所述光路(204)传播至所述至少一个光电探测器(126);以及
控制装置(130),其可操作以至少部分地基于来自所述一个或多个光电探测器(126)的一个或多个信号控制所述燃烧参数中的至少一个。
12.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述光路(204)包括输入光学端口(118)和输出光学端口(120)。
13.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述光路包括用于沿着所述光路(204)引导来自所述至少一个光源(111)的光的光学波导(114)和准直仪(116)。
14.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述光路(204)包括至少一个光栅(208,210)或过滤器(215),用于分离与所述光相关的光谱信息。
15.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述至少一个光源(111)包括用于测量吸收的窄带光辐射源。
16.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述至少一个光源(111)包括具有大约225纳米至大约3微米之间的波长范围的可调谐光源,用于测量吸收光谱。
17.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述至少一个光源(111)包括用于测量吸收光谱的宽带光辐射源。
18.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其特征在于,所述系统还包括:
一个或多个光电探测器(126),其可操作以测量与所述一个或多个光源(111)相关的至少一个标准化信号;
一个或多个光电探测器(214),其可操作以至少部分地基于所述至少一个标准化信号测量所述燃气涡轮机燃烧器(102)内所述光的吸收。
19.根据权利要求18所述的系统,其特征在于,所述系统还包括:
至少一个控制装置(130),其可操作以至少部分地基于测得的吸收和所述至少一个标准化信号控制所述燃烧参数中的至少一个。
20.一种燃气涡轮机,包括:
燃烧器(102);
至少一个光电探测器(126),其与穿过所述燃烧器(102)的光路(204)通讯;
至少一个光源(111),其可操作以使光沿着所述光路(204)传播至所述至少一个光电探测器(126);以及
至少一个控制装置(130),其可操作以至少部分地基于来自所述至少一个光电探测器(126)的一个或多个信号控制一个或多个燃烧参数,其中所述一个或多个信号至少包括吸收信号。
