Abstract

背景技术
一些机顶盒包括在设备电力接通时被照亮的键盘和/或区域。这种照明可能令人不满地干扰设备的其他区域。
发明内容
本发明旨在一种用于在设备电力接通时照亮机顶盒表面一部分的光管(light pipe)。所述光管可以例如由塑料模制。所述光管有利地沿着线性路径作为光子的良好载体。此外,光管应该允许光线传输到所述部分之外。

具体实施方式
本发明旨在一种光管,在设备电力接通时,所述光管照亮机顶盒表面的一部分。所述光管可以例如以塑料材料模制而成。
图1示出了机顶盒100侧视图的一部分。机顶盒100包括光管122(图2)。光管122照亮机顶盒100表面的一部分。例如,所述光管可以照亮按钮、指令键或者机顶盒表面轮廓。在一种实施方式中,如图2所示的光管122照亮机顶盒100上包括按钮和指令键的表面的一部分。
取决于机顶盒100的特性,所述光管可以具有各种形状。例如,所述光管可以具有方形、卵形、矩形或圆形等轮廓。参照图2,光管122在一种示例实施方式中具有大致矩形形状。
例如具有矩形形状的光管122还可以包括90度拐角边缘和/或曲线边缘。例如参照图2,大致矩形的光管122具有曲线边缘和90度拐角边缘两者。
通过放置例如与光路成大约45度角的表面150,光线可以在光管122中以直角传播。随着表面150的入射角接近全内反射(TIR)临界角,沿着光路传播的光线减少。
在一种实施方式中,可以通过增大表面150的反射性来提高光线沿着光路传播的效率。例如,可以以反射材料涂覆所述45度角的平面。适当反射材料的示例可以包括银涂料、银箔和电镀铬等。
光管122可以由模制塑料材料制成。塑料材料可以为染色塑料材料。染色塑料材料可以具有任何颜色,包括例如红色、蓝色、绿色、黄色、橙色和粉红色等。
作为可选方案,本发明的光管122可以由包括两个或多个不同区段的模制塑料材料形成。对于这种实施方式来说,所述两个或更多个不同区段可以由两种或更多种不同的染色塑料材料形成。因此,所述光管的所述两个或更多个不同区段将被以不同的颜色照亮。
在一种实施方式中,光管122在塑料构件120中形成通道(光路),并且耦接到至少一个光源130。图2所示的示例光管122形成沿着模制塑料构件120一部分延伸的光路。构件120可以具有任何形状和宽度,并且可以包围光管122全部或至少一部分。光路可以沿着3个维度延伸。例如,参照图2,光管122在构件120内沿着x方向和y方向从光源130延伸。此外,光管122还可以在构件120内,从点122a开始沿着z方向延伸。
光管122应当有利地以这样的材料形成,该材料是沿着其线性长度良好的光子传输器。此外,光管122的材料应该允许光线传播到光管外侧。
如图2所示,光管122耦接到至少一个光源130。所述至少一个光源130应该足以为沿着光管122线性长度延伸的光线提供大致均匀的亮度。此外,所述至少一个光源130应该足以以大致均匀的亮度向光管122外侧传输光线。
所述至少一个光源130可以沿着光管122的长度定位在任何位置。在如图2所示的一种实施方式中,两个光源130彼此相邻地定位在矩形光管122的一端。但是,在使用一个以上的光源130时,所述光源130可以沿着光管122定位在不同位置。例如,两个光源可以定位在矩形光管(未示出)的相对拐角处。
所述至少一个光源130可以是适合为沿着光管122线性长度延伸的光线提供大致均匀亮度的任何光源。此外,所述至少一个光源应该足以以大致均匀的亮度向光管122外侧传输光线。所述至少一个光源130例如可以是发光二极管。
图3是光管122的边缘的截面图,为光管122提供光线的一个或多个光源130设置在该边缘处。在一种实施方式中,一个或多个光源130从光管122下侧提供照明。图3示出了来自设置在光管122下侧的光源130的光线。在一种实施方式中,所述一个或多个光源130从倾斜凹槽140中提供照明。所述倾斜凹槽140应该优选具有小于大约90度的倾斜角。具有小于大约90度倾斜角的倾斜凹槽散射光线并且使得光子向光路方向垂直反射(参见图3)。所述倾斜凹槽布置允许以受控方式计量光线,从而以大致均匀的方式将光线传输到光管122周边周围。
前述内容例述了用来实践本发明的一些可行方式。在本发明的范围和精神内,许多其他实施方式也是可行的。因此,意思是说,前述说明内容作为例述而非限制,并且本发明的范围由附带的权利要求书及其全范围等同物来限定。
Claims (9)
1.一种设备,包括:壳体,其中所述壳体的一个或多个部分是透光的;和耦接到所述壳体的所述透光部分的至少一个光源。
2.如权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,所述壳体的所述一个或多个透光部分是光管。
3.如权利要求2所述的设备,其特征在于,所述光管具有倾斜表面。
4.如权利要求3所述的设备,其特征在于,

5.如权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,所述至少一个光源是发光二极管(LED)。
6.一种用于宽带和视频相连的房屋的机顶盒,包括:壳体,所述壳体的一个或多个部分包括光管;和
耦接到包括所述光管的所述壳体的所述一个或多个部分的至少一个光源。
7.如权利要求6所述的机顶盒,其特征在于,所述光管具有倾斜表面。
8.如权利要求7所述的机顶盒,其特征在于,
所述倾斜表面以材料涂覆。
9.如权利要求6所述的机顶盒,其特征在于,所述至少一个光源是发光二极管(LED)。
