Abstract

Description
本发明涉及润滑脂,它主要用于在机动车辆的传输线上使用的等速万向节,尤其球接头或三脚架接头。
在等速万向节(CVJ)内组件的运动因为滚动、滑动和自旋的结合而变得复杂。当该接头承受扭矩时,这些组件一起受到负荷,这不仅引起在组件的接触表面上的磨损,而且引起滚动接触疲劳和在这些表面之间的突出的摩擦力。该磨损能够导致接头的破坏并且该摩擦力导致在传输线中的噪音、振动和粗糙度(NVH)。NVH通常通过测定在倾伏(plunging)型CVJ中产生的轴向力来“测量”。理想地,用于等速万向节中的润脂油不仅需要减少磨损,而且具有低的摩擦系数以减少摩擦力以及减少或防止NVH。
等速万向节还具有弹性体材料的封闭罩,它通常具有波纹管形状,一端连接于CVJ的外部和另一端连接于CVJ的互联或输出轴。该罩将滑润脂保留在接头中并防止污物和水进去。
不仅该滑润脂必须减少磨损和摩擦以及防止在CVJ中的滚动接触疲劳的过早起始,还而且与构成该罩的弹性体材料相容。另外还有罩材料的降解,这一降解会引起该罩的过早损坏,使滑润脂逃逸和最终引起CVJ的破坏。用于CVJ罩的两种主要类型的材料是氯丁橡胶(CR)和热塑性弹性体(TPE),尤其醚-酯嵌段共聚物热塑性弹性体(TPC-ET)。
典型的CVJ润脂油具有基础油,后者是环烷烃属(饱和环)和链烷烃属(直链和支化的饱和链)矿物油的掺混物。合成油也可添加。众所周知的是,该基础油对于由CR和TPC-ET制成的罩两者的变劣都有大的影响(溶胀或收缩)。矿物油和合成基础油都从罩材料中抽提增塑剂和其它油溶性的保护剂。链烷烃属矿物油和聚α-烯烃(PAO)合成基础油极少扩散到尤其由橡胶材料制成的罩中引起收缩,但是另一方面环烷烃属矿物油和合成酯扩散到罩材料中并用作增塑剂且能够引起溶胀。增塑剂或增塑剂组合物交换该环烷烃属矿物油能够显著地降低特性,尤其在低温下,并且可以引起该罩被冷裂所破坏,最终导致CVJ的破坏。如果发生显著的溶胀或软化,则罩的最高速度能力会降低,这归因于在速度下的差稳定性和/或过度的径向膨胀。
为了解决该上述问题,US 6,656,890 B1提出了特殊的基础油结合物,它包括10-35wt%的一种或多种聚α-烯烃,3-15wt%的一种或多种合成有机酯,20-30wt%的一种或多种环烷烃油,该结合物的剩余部分是一种或多种链烷烃油和此外,锂皂增稠剂,和无硫的摩擦改性剂,该改性剂可以是有机钼复合物、二硫代磷酸钼和二烷基二硫代磷酸锌,以及其它添加剂如腐蚀抑制剂,抗氧化剂,耐极压添加剂和胶粘剂。然而,根据US 6,656,890 B1的润滑脂组合物在SRV(Schwingungen,Reibung,Verschleiβ的德国词的缩写)试验中测量的摩擦系数和耐磨损性能需要加以改进。
因此,本发明的目的是提供润滑脂组合物,它主要用于等速万向节,该组合物与由橡胶或热塑性弹性体制成的罩之间具有良好的相容性,并且还在CVJ中使用时有低的磨损和低的摩擦。
本发明的该目的可通过用于等速万向节中的润滑脂组合物来实现,该组合物包括
a)基础油组合物;和
b)具有相对于润滑脂组合物总量0.25wt%-5wt%,优选0.3wt%-3wt%的至少一种下式的三核钼化合物:

其中L是具有有机基团的独立选择的配位体,该有机基团具有足够数量的碳原子以使得该化合物可溶于或可分散于油中,n是1-4,k是4-7,Q选自中性供电子化合物如胺、醇、膦和醚,以及z是0-5和包括非化学计量的值。
在该三核钼化合物的全部配位体、有机基团当中的存在的碳原子的数量是至少21个碳原子,优选至少个25,更优选至少30个,和最优选至少35个。可用于本发明中的三核钼化合物已公开于US 6,172,013 B1中,它的公开内容被引入本发明中作为参考。本发明的发明人已发现,根据权利要求1的至少0.25wt%的三核钼化合物的存在将显著降低摩擦系数以及使用CVJ中的磨损。令人惊讶地,0.2wt%或更低的三核钼化合物的存在既不会导致更低的摩擦系数也不会导致当在CVJs中使用时更低的磨损。
作为根据本发明的基础油组合物,公开于US 6,656,890 B1中的基础油组合物是优选使用的,该专利的公开内容被引入这里供参考。然而,任何其它类型的基础油组合物,尤其矿物油的掺混物,合成油的掺混物,或矿物油和合成油的混合物的掺混物都可以使用。该基础油组合物应该优选在40℃下具有在约32和约250mm2/s之间的运动粘度和在100℃下具有在约5和约25mm2/s之间的运动粘度。优选,该矿物油选自至少一种环烷烃油和/或至少一种链烷烃油。可用于本发明中的合成油选自至少一种聚α-烯烃(PAO)和/或至少一种合成有机酯。有机合成酯优选是具有以脂族醇为基础的子基团的二羧酸衍生物。优选,该脂族醇具有含2-20个碳原子的伯属直链或支链碳链。优选,该有机合成酯选自癸二酸-双(2-乙基己基酯)(“癸二酸二辛酯”(DOS)),己二酸-双-(2-乙基己基酯)(“己二酸二辛酯”(DOA)),和/或壬二酸-双(2-乙基己基酯)(“壬二酸二辛酯”(DOZ))。
如果聚α-烯烃存在于该基础油组合物中,优选该聚α-烯烃选择在100℃下具有约2-约40厘沲的粘度。为基础油组合物所选择的环烷烃油优选在40℃下具有在20-180mm2/s之间的粘度,而如果链烷油存在于该基础油组合物中,优选该链烷油在40℃下具有在约25-约400mm2/s之间的粘度。
在本发明的其它实施方案中,该润滑脂组合物进一步包括至少一种锌化合物添加剂,更优选含量在约0.1wt%-约1.5wt%之间的锌化合物添加剂。最优选的,该锌化合物添加剂选自至少一种的二硫代磷酸锌(ZnDTP)和/或二硫代氨基甲酸锌(ZnDTC)、ZnO和/或ZnS。优选地,二硫代磷酸锌选自具有下式的二烷基二硫代磷酸锌:

其中R1-R4中的每一种可以是相同的或不同的和各自表示具有1-24个,优选3-20个,最优选3-5个碳原子的伯或仲烷基。尤其,如果取代基R1,R2,R3和R4表示各具有3-8个碳原子的伯和仲烷基的结合物,则能够预期优异的效果。
二硫代氨基甲酸锌可以优选地选自以下通式的二烷基二硫代氨基甲酸锌:
其中R5,R6,R7,和R8可以是相同的或不同的,和各自表示具有1-24个碳原子的烷基基团或具有6-30个碳原子的芳基基团。
通过将至少一种锌化合物添加剂添加到根据本发明的润滑脂组合物中,摩擦系数以及在CVJ中的磨损进一步显著减少。
根据本发明的再一个实施方案,该润滑脂组合物进一步包括增稠剂,后者选自锂皂、钙皂、锂复合皂、钙复合皂和/或脲-衍生物型增稠剂(urea-derivative type thickener)。所述脲-衍生物型增稠剂不限于具体的一个,并还例如可以是双脲化合物和/或多脲化合物。
在本发明的意义上,锂皂或钙皂是至少一种脂肪酸与氢氧化锂或氢氧化钙的反应产物。优选,该增稠剂可以是从硬脂酸,12-羟基硬脂酸,氢化蓖麻油或从其它类似的脂肪酸或它们的混合物或此类酸的甲基酯形成的简单的锂或钙皂。另外地,可以使用从例如长链脂肪酸与配位剂的混合物形成的锂和/或钙复合皂,所述配位剂例如一种或多种二羧酸的硼酸盐或短和/或中链羧酸的混合物。复合锂和/或钙皂的使用允许根据本发明的润滑脂组合物在高达约180℃的温度下操作,而对于简单的锂和/或钙皂,该润滑脂组合物将仅仅在至多约120℃的温度下操作。然而,全部上述增稠剂的混合物也可以使用。
根据本发明的再一个实施方案,该润滑脂组合物进一步包括添加剂包装配料,后者选自抗氧化剂,腐蚀抑制剂,耐磨剂,摩擦改性剂,和/或耐极压剂(极压添加剂,即EP添加剂)。
该极压添加剂优选是在40℃下具有约25mm2/s的粘度的无金属、硫化的脂肪酸甲酯试剂,优选以相对于该润滑脂组合物的总量的约0.1-约3wt%的量存在。极压添加剂的总硫量优选是约8-约10%(按重量)和活性硫量是约1%(按重量)。该极压添加剂对于CVJ的卡咬的防止而言显示出优异的效果。如果该硫含量超过以上定义的上限,则它促进接触金属组件的滚动接触疲劳和磨损的起始。
作为抗氧化剂,本发明的润滑脂组合物可以包括胺,优选芳族胺,更优选苯基-α-萘胺或二苯胺或它们的衍生物。抗氧化剂用来防止润滑脂组合物与氧化有关的变劣。根据本发明的润滑脂组合物可含有相对于润滑脂组合物总量的约0.1-约2%(按重量)的抗氧化剂以抑制基础油的氧化降解,以及延长润滑脂组合物的寿命,因此延长CVJ的寿命。
典型地,在CVJ的组装之前的最后操作是洗涤以除去机加工碎屑,并因此需要该滑润脂吸收任何痕量的剩余水和防止水引起腐蚀和不利地影响CVJ的特性,因此需要添加腐蚀抑制剂。作为腐蚀抑制剂,根据本发明的润滑脂组合物可以包括选自于氧化蜡的金属盐,石油磺酸的金属盐(尤其通过将在润滑油的级分中存在的芳族烃组分磺化所制得),和/或烷基芳族磺酸的金属盐(如二壬基萘磺酸,烷基苯磺酸,或过碱性的烷基苯磺酸)中的至少一种金属盐。金属盐的例子包括钠盐,钾盐,钙盐,镁盐,锌盐和季铵盐,该钙盐是最优选的。氧化蜡的钙盐也确保优异的效果。
根据本发明的抗磨损剂通过添加成膜性化合物保护表面免受物理吸收或化学反应来防止金属与金属接触。ZnDTP化合物也可用作抗磨损剂。作为根据本发明的抗腐蚀剂,优选使用磺酸钙盐,优选的含量是相对于润滑脂组合物总量的约0.5-约3%(按重量)。
传统的摩擦改性剂如脂肪酸酰胺和脂肪族胺磷酸盐已经多年用于润脂油和其它润滑剂中(参见,例如,Klamann,Dieter-“Lubricants”,Verlag Chemie GmbH 1983,chapter 9.6作为参考)。它们的作用是使润滑剂稳定但不一定在很大的操作条件范围内降低摩擦。
在本发明的再一个优选实施方案中,润滑脂组合物包括,在各情况下相对于润滑脂组合物的总量,约55wt%-约97.5wt%的基础油组合物,尤其具有在40℃下约32和约250mm2/s之间和在100℃下具有在约5和约25mm2/s之间的运动粘度,约0.3wt%-约3wt%的至少一种三核钼化合物,约0.1wt%-约1.5wt%的至少一种锌化合物添加剂,和约2wt%-约25wt%的至少一种增稠剂。优选地,脲增稠剂可以在约5-约20wt%之间的范围存在,锂皂增稠剂在2-15wt%之间和钙复合皂增稠剂在约8-约25wt%之间。
此外,根据本发明的润滑脂组合物具有由SRV试验测得的不超过0.1的滑动摩擦系数。
实施本发明的最佳模式
为了测定被根据本发明的润滑脂组合物所带来的摩擦系数和磨损的降低效果,使用Optimol Instruments SRV试验器进行SRV试验。制备从Optimol Instruments Pruftechnik GmbH,Westendstrasse 125,Munich(使用溶剂适当地清洁)获得的100Cr6标准型轴承钢制成的平圆盘下层试样并与所要考察的润滑脂组合物接触。该SRV试验是工业标准试验并且尤其与润脂油对于CVJ的测试相关。该试验在于从100Cr6轴承钢制成的直径10mm的上层球试样在负荷下在如上所述的平圆盘下层试样上往复运动。在模仿三脚架接头的试验中,200N的外加负载以40Hz的频率在80℃下施加60分钟(包括试运转)。冲程分别是1.5mm和3.0mm。所获得的摩擦系数被记录在计算机上。对于各滑润脂,所报导的值是在四个轮次中试验的结尾四个数据的平均值(1.5mm冲程两个轮次和3.0mm冲程两个轮次)。使用轮廊测定器和数字面积仪测量磨损。通过使用该轮廊测定器,能够获得在磨损面的中间中横截面的形貌。这一横截面的面积(S)通过使用数字面积仪来测量。磨损量通过V=SI来评价,其中V是磨损的体积和I是冲程。从Wr=V/L[μm3/m]获得磨损率(Wr),其中L是在试验中的总滑动距离。对于该试运转,它是在以上规定的条件下以50N的外加负载开始并进行1分钟。然后,该外加负载经过30秒由50N增加至200N。
下列物质用于所考察的润滑脂组合物:
基础油组合物
所使用的基础油组合物在40℃下具有在约32和约250mm2/s之间的运动粘度和在40℃下具有在约5和约25mm2/s之间的运动粘度。两种基础油掺混物用于本发明。基础油掺混物A是约10-约60wt%的一种或多种环烷烃油,约30-约80wt%的一种或多种链烷烃油和约5-约40wt%的一种或多种聚α-烯烃(PAO)的混合物,相对于该油混合物的总量。油掺混物A不含有有机合成酯,而相对于油混合物的总量油掺混物B含有约2-约10wt%的DOS。
该环烷烃油被选择在40℃下具有约20-约180mm2/s的粘度,链烷烃油被选择在40℃下具有约25-约400mm2/s的粘度,和PAO被选择在100℃下具有约6-约40mm2/s的粘度。
三分子钼化合物(TNMoS)
用于根据本发明的润滑脂组合物中的三分子钼化合物是以商品名称C9455B从lnfineum International Ltd.,UK获得的含硫的三-核钼化合物。它的结构定义在US 6,172,013 B1中。
对比实施例的其它含钼的化合物
对于对比实施例,使用以商业名称RC3580由Rhein Chemie RheinauGmbH,Germany销售的二硫代磷酸钼(MoDTP),具有化学式二硫代磷酸2-乙基己基钼,用矿物油稀释。此外,使用固态的以商品名称AdekaSakuralube 600(S-600)和液态的Sakuralube 515(S-515)销售的二硫代氨基甲酸钼(MoDTC),由Asahi Denka Co.Limited,Japan生产。而且,使用有机氨化物(organic amide)的有机钼配合物(organo molybdenumcomplex)(Organo Mo amide),以商品名称Molyvan 855由R.T.Vanderbilt,USA销售,以及一种胺的有机钼配合物,以商品名称Sakuralube 700(S-700)销售的、由Asahi Denka Co.Limited,Japan生产。
锌化合物添加剂
作为锌化合物添加剂,使用以商品名称Paranox-15由lnfineumInternational Ltd.,UK销售的或以商品名称RC3038由Rhein Chemie,Germany销售的ZnDTP,它是具有伯和仲烷基的二烷基二硫代磷酸锌,优选用矿物油稀释。而且,使用以商品名称Vanlube AZ由Vanderbilt,USA销售的ZnDTC以及ZnO和ZnS作为锌化合物添加剂。
增稠剂
作为锂皂(Li皂),使用由脂肪酸例如硬脂酸或12-羟基硬脂酸与单水氢氧化锂(lithum hydroxide monohydrate)反应得到的反应产物。此外,使用钙复合皂(钙复合皂),它是氢氧化钙与两种羧酸类的反应产物,其中一种具有2-5个碳原子的短碳链长度和另一种具有16-20个碳原子的长碳链长度,且其中短链与长链的比率是在1∶2和1∶5之间。
添加剂
作为抗氧化剂剂(抗氧剂),使用具有丁基和/或辛基的二苯基胺,由Ciba Specialty Chemicals,Switzerland以商品名称L-57(Irganox 157)供应。作为耐极压添加剂(EP添加剂1),使用硫化的有机化合物(脂肪酸甲基酯),它以商品名称DeoAdd MD10由DOG Deutsche OeIfabrikGesellschaft fur chemische Erzeugnisse mbH und Co,Hamburg,Germany销售(在实施例中“EP添加剂”)。EP添加剂的另一个例子是含有磺酸钙增稠剂的滑润脂,由Brugarolas S.A.,Spain生产,商品名称Ca-SGrease(Ca-S润滑脂)。
作为腐蚀抑制剂,使用二壬基萘磺酸盐的钙盐,例如由KingIndustries,Norwalk,CT,U.S.A.分配,商品名称NaSuI 729(Ca-磺酸盐)。
首先,根据本发明的润滑脂组合物的优点是通过将该润滑脂组合物的摩擦系数和磨损性与其它包含添加剂的商业有机钼(实施例A)对比来考察。生产六个不同的润滑脂组合物,如在下表中所列:

实施例A1到A6的摩擦系数和磨损的SRV测量值的结果可以从图1中推导出来。仅有实施例A1是根据本发明的润滑脂组合物,而实施例A2-A6包含其它商业有机含钼添加剂(A2-A5)或不含钼添加剂(A6)。当与对比实施例的摩擦系数相比时,实施例A1的摩擦系数清楚地降低,并低于0.09。此外,实施例A1的测得的磨损性是试验系列A1-A6中的最低磨损,并是约165μm3/m。
在附加系列的试验中,制备根据本发明其它润滑脂组合物,它们含有不同浓度的含硫三核钼化合物TNMoS化合物,列于表2中。

对于摩擦系数和磨损所进行的SRV试验的结果将可从图2中看出。
从图2a可以得到,令人惊讶地,润滑脂组合物B1至B3的摩擦系数清楚地是在0.1左右。所述润滑脂组合物B1至B3并非依照本发明。从图2a可以看到,0.2wt%或更低浓度的含硫三核钼化合物不会显著降低摩擦系数,而当与实施例B1-B3相比较时,根据本发明的润滑脂组合物B4显示了被降低约至少25%的摩擦系数。因此,如可由图2b看到,根据本发明,相对于润滑脂组合物总量,仅约0.25wt%含量的含硫三核钼化合物导致有利地降低的摩擦系数和降低的磨损值。
在第三试验系列中,锌化合物添加剂的添加对于根据本发明的润滑脂组合物的影响是通过制备根据表3的润滑脂组合物来考察的。

对于实施例C1-C6所进行的SRV试验的结果示于图3中。
可以看出,当将不具有锌化合物添加剂的实施例C1与实施例C2-C6比较时,可以看出,当将锌化合物添加剂加入到根据本发明的润滑脂组合物时,磨损尤其显著降低(不可测量的)。而且,摩擦系数也被降低并没有超过0.08的值。特别优选的是ZnDTP(C2和C3)的添加或ZnS(C6)的添加。
另外,将EP剂加入到根据本发明的润滑脂组合物的影响是通过制备根据表4的不同润滑脂组合物来证明的。

摩擦系数和磨损测量的结果可以由图4看出。
通过EP剂的加入,尤其通过约0.4wt%或更少的EP剂“EP添加剂”的加入,它是以商品名DeoAdd MD10销售的硫化有机化合物,摩擦系数被降低。而且,摩擦系数还通过加入其它含硫化合物Ca-磺酸盐1和2(实施例D6-D8)被降低。而且,在实施例D3,D7和D8中磨损尤其被降低。由实施例D4,可以得出加入0.5wt%的EP添加剂作为EP剂并不会导致摩擦系数在数值上的降低,而且对于测得的磨损给出了更高的值。因此,应避免加入0.5wt%或更多的EP添加剂作为EP剂。
最后,在根据本发明的润滑脂组合物中使用不同增稠剂的影响是通过制备根据表5的不同润滑脂组合物来证明的。

摩擦系数和磨损的SRV试验的结果可以由图5看出。
由图5中所示的摩擦系数测量可以容易地得出,当与对比实施例E2和E4相比,根据实施例E1和E3向本发明的润滑脂组合物中加入含硫三核钼化合物的有利影响。而且,与包含钙复合皂的润滑脂组合物相比,锂皂增稠剂的加入导致摩擦系数的降低。
总之,因此,根据本发明的润滑脂组合物对于摩擦系数和磨损具有有利的重要影响,导致更低的磨损和在CVJ中更低的摩擦,并防止在万向节中滚动接触疲劳的过早起始。
Claims (9)
1.用于等速万向节的润滑脂组合物,它包括
a)基础油组合物;
b)0.25wt%-5wt%的至少一种以下通式的三核钼化合物
Mo3SkLnQz,
其中L是具有有机基团的独立选择的配位体,该有机基团具有足够数量的碳原子以使得该化合物可溶于或可分散于油中,n是1-4,k是4-7,Q选自中性供电子化合物如胺、醇、膦和醚,以及z是0-5和包括非化学计量的值。
2.根据权利要求1的润滑脂组合物,进一步包括至少一种锌化合物添加剂。
3.根据权利要求2的润滑脂组合物,包括相对于该润滑脂组合物的总量0.1wt%-2.5wt%的量的至少一种锌化合物添加剂。
4.根据权利要求3的润滑脂组合物,其中锌化合物选自二硫代磷酸锌和/或二硫代氨基甲酸锌、氧化锌和/或硫化锌中的至少一种。
5.根据前述权利要求中任何一项的润滑脂组合物,进一步包括增稠剂,该增稠剂选自锂皂、钙皂、锂复合皂、钙复合皂和/或脲衍生物型增稠剂。
6.根据前述权利要求中任何一项的润滑脂组合物,其特征在于基础油组合物包括聚α烯烃、环烷油和链烷油和/或合成有机酯。
7.根据前述权利要求中任何一项的润滑脂组合物,它进一步包括添加剂包装配料,该包装配料选自抗氧化剂,腐蚀抑制剂,耐磨剂,摩擦改性剂,和/或极压添加剂。
8.根据前述权利要求中任何一项的润滑脂组合物,它包括,在各情况下相对于润滑脂组合物的总量,55wt%-97.5wt%的基础油组合物,0.3wt%-3wt%的至少一种三核钼化合物,0.1wt%-1.5wt%的至少一种锌化合物添加剂,和2wt%-25wt%的至少一种增稠剂。
9.根据前述权利要求中任何一项的润滑脂组合物,其特征在于该组合物的滑动摩擦系数是至多0.1。
