Abstract
在真空压力造型装置中使用顶出缸来最初突破上、下模之间的密封以便有助于迅速打开上、下模,从而缩短零件造型周期。
Description
本发明涉及造型装置,具体来说,涉及在真空下压力造型零件的装置。
在美国专利4,488,862和4,612,149号公开的方法和装置中,零件是在真空下压力造型的。本说明书引用这两项专利作为参考文件。本发明是对这两项专利所公开的主题的改进。
美国专利3,784,343,号中提出了一种真空造型装置,其中只是依靠模子和活塞的运动来突破真空密封,这使零件造型循环时间长而且输出效率较低。
本发明的目的是提供一种真空造型装置,通过增加造型装置输出效率来加快零件造型循环时间,另外,通过在零件造型循环结束时快速突破环绕造型腔的真空以便于分模。
为此,在本发明的真空造型装置中,具有两个,即第一和第二模,所述第一和第二模中至少一个可以借助压头相对于另一个移动,一个密封环围绕所述第一模设置,并包括第一和第二密封件,所述密封环当压头使两模靠拢时能在两模间形成真空,其特征在于该装置还包括:
围绕所述第二模设置的分模装置,该分模装置与所述密封环和
所述压头是分开的;以及
所述分模装置的驱动装置,当一零件在所述第一和第二模之间完成造型后,该驱动装置驱动所述分模装置,使所述密封环被推离所述第二模,从而使所述第二密封件突破所述第一和第二模之间的真空密封,而两模仍保持基本闭合。
按照本发明设有分模装置,其中上下模暂时密封在一起以便形成一个绕着模腔的真空室,在本发明的一个推荐施例中,一个密封环绕着上模,它与环绕下模的下部零件一起形成密封。这个密封环也包括一个与上模形成扫动接合密封件。当上模向下降到位置时,在上模接触造型材料以前下模和上模之间形成密封。因而绕模腔限定了一个真空室。然后抽取真空,上模继续下降与下模配合,限定并处置造型的零件。已经发现,当想打开压力造型装置并取出零件时,造型过程中形成的真空使密封很难打开。为了方便上述过程,设置一个或多个顶出缸,向上推动密封环以打开上、下模之间的密封,以这种方式,可以加快生产零件的周期。
对照以下附图阅读以下的说明,本专业技术人员将理解本发明的上述优点和其它优点。
图1-3是按照本发明的压力造型装置的侧视图,各图处于造型操作的不同阶段,图中部分剖开;
图4是图3所示扫动密封部分的平面图;
图5是图4中的4-4剖面图。
图1所示为零件生产周期的开始和结束时本发明的压力造型装置10。图1中上述两个时刻的主要区别在于,在零件生产周期开始时,零件12尚未成形,应是装入模中的成形零件的纤维增强塑料:如同在上述两个引为参考文件的两个美国专利中所述一样,本发明特别适于具有大表面积(超过1平方英尺)和光洁表面的汽车车体板。顶出缸62的活塞杆64在零件生产周期的开始将不是如图所示的处于伸出的状态,而是处于缩回的状态。下面还将对顶出缸作更详细的说明。
在造型周期的开始,在适当的压头18的作用下,上模14和密封环16向下移向下模20。密封环16包括若干气缸22,气缸上端通过托架24连接于上模14,因而也连接于压头18。气缸22包括下垂的活塞杆26,在零件成型周期的开始过程中,活塞杆26在向气缸输送的恒定的气压作用下基本完全伸出,活塞杆26的下端联结着环形管件28,环形管件28有一个下表面30和一个上表面32。
在图4和5中可最清楚看到,一个密封装置34装在上表面32上。密封装置34包括一个壳体40,它有一个与上模14的外壁38间隔开的内缘36。壳体40具有一个水平的螺孔42以便装入调节螺钉44。调节螺钉44的内端安装于一个特氟隆扫动密封46,用来与上模14的光滑的垂向壁38形成扫动密封接合,随着密封46的磨损,操作者只要适当转动调节螺钉44使密封46和上模的壁之间维持适当的接合,就可以克服上述磨损的影响。
管件28的下表面30载有一个环形的管状密封50,它与固定
在下模20上的环形件52对准。随着压头18使上模14和密封环16向下运动,密封50首先开始与环形件52的上表面接触。因此绕着模腔形成一个真空室,当上、下模后来完全嵌置时,这个真空室将更为精确地被限定。如图2所示,真空室54由上、下模之间的密封环50以及密封环16和上模14之间的密封16所限定。在上模14接触能放在下模20上的造型材料(未画)之前,这个真空室54已经形成。此时通过一个真空源55在真空室54中快速抽取真空。这个真空源55是通过中空的管形环形件52和开口56与真空室54连通的。
压头18继续向下运动使上、下模处于图2所示位置,其中挡块58、60开始接触。应该注意,因为压头18的很大的力克服了气缸22中气压所提供的小得多的力,各活塞杆26因上模14继续向下运动而缩回各自的气缸22中。
当零件充分成型后(对造型材料给以足够的热,时间和压力),必须打开模具取出零件。本发明的一个特点是,模具可以很迅速地打开,并很少会产生其它方法引起维护保养的问题。因此,零件成型周期很短,因而提高了给定机器的产量。为此目的,设有一组顶出缸62以便快速打开模具。缸62在密封环62之下基本等间距地绕造型装置10设置。每个缸62的活塞杆64都与密封环16的裙部66垂直对准。现参阅图3,缸62用来提供一个向上的推力,这个推力足以克服各气缸22提供的向下的压力以及由真空形成密封附着力。在这个具体实施例中,缸62是液缸,在压头18开始一升起之前,造型装置打开步骤开始时受到驱动。这样,在上、下模之间的密封就首先被突破。否则,压头18必须克服上、下模间已经形成的真
空密封。由于首先使用顶出缸62突破密封,所以压头18可很快地升起以缩短零件造型周期。
取出零件12后,活塞杆64缩回,可以开始一个新的造型周期。
显然,上述对本发明具体实施例的描述并不是对本发明的限定,而这种限定是由权利要求书实现的。
Claims (10)
1、一种真空造型装置,具有两个,即第一和第二模,所述第一和第二模中至少一个可以借助压头相对于另一个移动,一个密封环绕所述第一模设置并包括第一和第二密封件,所述密封环当压头使两模靠拢时能在两模间形成真空,其特征在于该装置还包括:
围绕所述第二模设置的分模装置,该分模装置与所述密封环和所述压头是分开的;以及
所述分模装置的驱动装置,当一零件在所述第一和第二模之间完成造型后,该驱动装置驱动所述分模装置,使所述密封环被推离所述第二模,从而使所述第二密封件突破所述第一和第二模之间的真空密封,而两模仍保持基本闭合。
2、按照权利要求1所述的造型装置,基特征在于:还包括使压头当分模装置突破密封后分开第一和第二模的装置。
3、按照权利要求1所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述密封环包括一组具有活塞杆的气缸,当第一模与第二模进入密封接触时,所述气缸的活塞杆缩入所述气缸。
4、按照权利要求1所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述分模装置是至少一个顶出缸,该顶出缸具有一个与所述密封环的一部分对准的活塞杆,所述驱动装置驱动所述活塞杆,迫使所述密封环离开第二模。
5、按照权利要求4所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述密封环包括一组具有活塞杆的气缸,当第一模与第二模进入密封接触时,所述气缸的活塞杆缩入所述气缸。
6、按照权利要求5所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述至少一个顶出缸是一组每个都具有一活塞杆的顶出缸,当所述分模装置被驱动时,所述顶出缸的活塞杆迫使所述气缸的活塞杆进一步缩入气缸。
7、按照权利要求1所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述第一密封件是所述第一模的扫动密封,当所述第一模与所述第二模开始接触时以及当所述分模装置突破所述第一模和第二模之间密封时,所述扫动密封在所述第一模上扫动。
8、按照权利要求7所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述第一密封件包括一个壳体,该壳体包括所述扫动密封和调节扫动密封抵住所述第一模的装置。
9、按照权利要求8所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述调节装置是一个穿过所述壳体上一螺孔的螺钉,所述扫动密封位于该螺钉的一端。
10、按照权利要求4所述的造型装置,其特征在于:所述至少一个顶出缸是液压缸。
