Abstract

[0002]通常使用垫圈以在相对的表面之间产生密封,并在内燃机和许多车辆部件(例如泵)中尤其有用。为确保相对的表面之间的良好密封,通常地,液体密封剂和单独的垫圈彼此相结合,夹制于该表面之间。典型地,直接将密封剂应用到该相对的表面中的至少一个,和/或应用到该垫圈的至少一个侧面。尽管这可产生良好密封,但其通常会给组装过程增加时间和费用。
发明内容

本发明的另一个方面提供了一种制造用于在相对的表面之间产生均一、可靠密封的垫圈的方法。该方法包括由可破裂的隔膜形成多个独立的可破裂的囊珠,并包裹一液体密封剂在该囊珠内。另外,将这些囊珠彼此结合,以形成该囊珠的柔性串。

[0009]更具体地参照附图,图1显示了根据本发明一个当前优选实施方式的液体密封剂囊状垫圈10,其设置为用于相对的表面之间的组装,例如,在内燃机16的承油盘12和发动机本体14之间。垫圈10具有主体18,其支撑多个独立的载液囊珠20,此处通过示例而非局限的方式,囊珠20分布为绕闭环的周缘彼此大致上等距隔开。在组装中,当承油盘12通过例如螺纹固定方式连接到发动机本体14时,垫圈10的囊珠20在相对的表面或者凸缘22、24之间受压。在凸缘22、24之间所施加的压力下,单个囊珠20彼此独立地破裂。当囊珠20破裂时,液体密封剂从囊珠20释放,并均一地涂覆在相互配合的凸缘22、24之间的表面区域,从而在凸缘22、24之间建立均一、可靠的密封。

[0015]除了能够改变囊珠20的大小和形状之外,在各囊珠内包裹的液体密封剂的类型也可以变化。由此,垫圈10的一个部分可由囊珠20构造而成,囊珠20具有最适合于被其密封的区域的一种类型的液体密封剂,而垫圈10的另一个部分可具有另一囊珠20,其填充有最适合于被其密封的区域的另一种类型的液体密封剂。另外,应当认识到,具有活性成分(例如,环氧树脂)的液体密封剂,可以使其活性成分包括在相邻的囊珠20内并为非活性状态的活性成分。例如,例如,一个囊珠20内可包括硬化剂,而相邻的囊珠可包括可与硬化剂相反应的树脂。由此,当相邻囊珠20破裂时,树脂和硬化剂可混合并反应,从而产生在该相对表面之间的密封结合。

Claims (20)
1.一种用于在相对的表面之间形成密封的垫圈,包括:
主体;
多个独立的囊珠,以彼此间隔地由所述主体支撑,所述囊珠在该相对的表面之间施加压力下,可彼此独立地破裂;以及
包裹于所述囊珠内的液体密封剂,用于当所述囊珠破裂时,形成该相对的表面之间的密封。
2.根据权利要求1所述的垫圈,其中所述主体形成所述囊珠的柔性串。
3.根据权利要求2所述的垫圈,其中所述囊珠的串形成封闭环,其可被弯曲为与该相对的表面的周缘一致的形状。
4.根据权利要求1所述的垫圈,其中所述主体可弯曲为与该相对的表面间的形状一致。
5.根据权利要求1所述的垫圈,其中所述囊珠中的一种包裹一种所述液体密封剂,以及所述囊珠中的另一种包裹不同种类的所述液体密封剂。
6.根据权利要求1所述的垫圈,其中所述主体具有贯通开口,用于接收所述囊珠。
7.根据权利要求6所述的垫圈,其中所述囊珠中的一种包裹一种所述液体密封剂,以及所述囊珠中的另一种包裹不同种类的所述液体密封剂。

15.一种制造用于在相对的表面之间产生密封的垫圈的方法,包括:
提供液体密封剂;
将所述液体密封剂包裹在多个独立的可破裂的囊珠内;以及
以彼此定向的、间隔开的关系,利用主体支撑所述囊珠。
16.根据权利要求15所述的方法,进一步包括构成具有至少两个部分的所述主体,其中一个所述部分中由一种材料构成,其中另一个所述部分由不同材料构成。
17.根据权利要求16所述的方法,进一步包括提供至少两种不同种类的液体密封剂,并在由所述主体的一个部分所支撑的所述囊珠内包裹一种所述密封剂,以及在由所述主体的所述另一个部分所支撑的所述囊珠内包括另一种所述密封剂。
18.根据权利要求15所述的方法,进一步包括将所述囊珠连接到所述主体的外表面。
19.根据权利要求15所述的方法,进一步包括在所述主体内形成多个贯通开口,并在所述贯通开口内支撑所述囊珠。
20.根据权利要求15所述的方法,进一步包括利用所述主体的弯曲部分将所述囊珠彼此连接,以形成所述囊珠的柔性串。
