技术领域
本发明一般涉及电视广播系统,更详细地说,涉及用于抑制发射的电视节目中的预定节目段的方法。
背景技术
看电视时常常有一些广播内容不适合于室内一个或多个观众。为了向观众提供对所观看的节目有更多的控制,节目提供商已实施了一种评级系统,用它对整个节目的内容按预定尺度评级。
一些节目提供商在他们的模拟信号中包括有”关闭-加标题”信息供”V芯片”处理。如果所接收的评级符合用户以前输入的评级,所述芯片就基于评级尺度来抑制节目的全部显示。V芯片仅允许抑制全部节目。
视频压缩,例如MPEG-4、MPEG-2(而MPEG-2在较小程度上)提供包括有关发射节目内容的详细信息的可能性。在数字信号中存在的更详细的信息允许从发射信号中去除不需要的部分或节目段。但实时抑制所接收的节目段会导致节目的中断。
父母或其它监护人想要抑制的节目段的实例是含有暴力,性场面,广告等的节目。没有这些段的话,节目就会被认为是正常的或是观众可以接受进行观看的。
所以需要提供一种抑制节目段的方法,既不抑制整个节目,也不中断发射信号的连续观看。
发明内容
所以本发明的一个目的是提供一种不中断观看发射信号的抑制节目段的方法。
所述目的和其它目的可按照本发明的实施例来实现,其中用于抑制广播节目中的不需要的节目段的方法包括:接收来自服务提供商的节目信息;确定在所接收的节目信息中是否存在不需要的节目段;以及修改显示的节目来消除不需要的节目段。
按照本发明的其它方面,用于抑制广播节目中不需要的节目段的方法包括起始步骤,即,确定是否已启动节目控制方式。一旦启动节目控制方式,就装入有关来自服务提供商的节目内容的节目信息。有了装入的节目信息,以及以前存储的用户偏好,就很容易鉴别在所接收的节目信息中是否有不需要的节目段。
当存在不需要的节目段时,计算关于所述节目段的时间补偿系数。按照本发明的一个方面,所述时间补偿系数用来延迟节目的开始,以便在去除所有不需要的节目段后仍提供节目的不间断显示。
按照本发明的另一方面,所识别的不需要的节目段用来计算紧接的前一个所需节目段的时间延长系数。
当紧接的前一个所需节目段具有的时长大于或等于不需要的节目段和紧接的前一个所需节目段二者的小数计算时,不需要的节目段就被去除,而紧接的前一个所需节目段延长预定的时间量。
按照本发明的又一方面,抑制广播节目中不需要的节目段的方法包括以下步骤:确定是否已启动节目控制方式;当已启动节目控制方式时,装入来自服务提供商的有关节目内容的节目信息;识别在所接收的节目信息中是否存在不需要的节目段;确定是否可延长所需的节目段以便对去除不需要的节目段作补偿;计算用于去除不需要的节目段的时间补偿系数;以及在去除所有不需要的节目段的情况下向用户不间断地显示节目。

具体实施方式
图1a示出已分解成由节目提供商发送的一些可识别部分的整个节目的定时图。在此实例中,有7个部分(1-7),代表节目广播中的内容特定点。内容特定点是基于内容和相应的级别例如暴力、性场面等来识别的。
如图所示,示范节目开始,在第2和6部分有”暴力”部分或场景,在第4部分有广告中断。其余部分1、3、5和7也是节目的一部分,但对于识别来说是无关紧要的。
按照本发明的实施例,识别数据是由节目提供商以表的形式发射的,所述表很容易结合在节目的声频/视频数据流中。图1b示出示范的节目表,所述表将各部分编号(1-7)与它们发生的时间相关,并且还包括所述部分的级别和内容识别信息。
利用具有大存储器(例如具有硬盘驱动器和个人视频记录(PVR)的机顶盒)的数字TV接收机来实现本发明。观众借助于屏幕菜单选择节目控制方式。在此方式下,用户可利用TV评级来识别节目中不需要的内容,以便在接收时将其去除。一旦所述用户进行了选择,他们的偏好就存储在接收机中。就在节目开始之前,节目表(例如图1b)先被接收,并开始本发明的延迟显示方式处理。
图2示出按照本发明的一个方面延迟显示方式方法200的流程图。开始时,要确定节目控制方式是否已经启动(202),如果没有,接收到的节目表被忽略不计,整个节目以正常工作方式被显示。否则,从数据流中捕获节目表并将其存储(204)。然后将以前存储的用户偏好与装入表中的节目识别数据进行比较,以确定是否有任何不需要的段需从节目中去除(208)。

去除实际的节目段2和6仅在实际接收发射信号时才有可能。结果,如果节目的开始时间延迟了3分钟,就可能做到连续或无缝显示节目。如图3中所示,按其时间表时间接收节目并将其写入存储器(例如HDD),但选择延迟方式工作的用户将在3分钟后观看节目(即,从存储器中读出)。当用户在3分钟后观看节目时,所述算法以部分1开始仅仅从存储器中读出所需的各部分。这样,在节目预定开始时间的3分钟后节目被完整地显示。
在此实施例中,用户在节目预定开始时间后实际赢得了3分钟的时间,因为节目的终止仍相同。这样,在本发明的延迟显示方式中,通过为用户计算新的”虚构”开始时间,在接收时就可将节目的不需要部分或段去除掉。”虚构”开始时间等于实际开始时间加上不需要部分的总时间。
在因延迟显示方式导致的3分钟等待时间中,接收机可以显示空白屏幕,可有或没有倒数计时器,或提供声频音乐或其它声频。3分钟等待时间到了,接收机可提供声频告警,提醒用户节目开始。
按照本发明的另一优选实施例,有可能减少甚至消除用户在能够观看节目的所需部分之前的等待时间。图4A和图4B示出修改的用于消除等待时间的图2的方法。所述方法使用本专业的技术人员已知的声频/视频处理技术来延长所需的A/V信号的一些部分。延长所述信号导致节目所需部分的”虚构”的时间延长,直到实际接收到不需要的部分为止。结果,时间延长减少了并且有时完全消除了节目开始的初始等待时间。这种时间延长显示方式不需要来自服务提供商的任何附加数据,而可以使用图1b所示的相同的节目表。
由于要延长所需的节目段,因此必需有一个主观的延长极限,在此极限下显示的信号不会减弱。这对于保证显示信号的质量和避免用户具有观看慢动作图像的印象是必需的。已确定合理的延长极限是0.85,而可接受的延长极限范围是在0.85到1之间。
参阅图4A和图4B,最初的步骤202-216和图2的步骤完全相同,不再赘述。一旦”总和”已初始化到零(214)且最后的所需节目段到了(216),就要确定是否满足(402)TPART-(M-1)>=[(TPART-(M-1)+TPART-(M))*0.85],式中M是在目前分析中不需要的部分。在此实例中,TPART-5>=[(TPART-5+TPART-6)*0.85],得到(920-900)=20>(20+1)*0.85=21*0.85=17.85。于是,此次确定的结果是YES,这就是说,可以用大于0.85的系数来延长部分5以便在接收到部分6时将其去除。用户只看到延长的部分5,它已额外覆盖了已去除部分6的时长,更重要的是,和图2的第一实施例不同,这次没有等待时间。

现需要计算等于〔(TPART-1+TPART-2)-TPART-1/0.85〕的准确等待时间。在此实例中,得到12-11.765=0.235分=14.1秒。所以,在此实例中,等待时间只有14.1秒,而在图2的实施例中是3分。将等待时间存储在”总和”参数中(414),使”总和”=0+14.1=14.1秒。参数N再减去1(406),得到N=1-1=0。
下一次的判定(224)是YES,向用户显示一条消息,问他们是接受或拒绝这14.1秒的延迟开始。如果用户说NO,则恢复正常工作方式,如果用户说YES,则数字电视进入”延长显示工作方式”。
图5示出利用图1a实例的数值的时间延长工作的定时图。所述初始等待时间从延迟显示方式下的3分减少到14.1秒。观众在14.1秒后开始看节目,在节目段1开始时从存储器中读出数据,且显示时间以0.85的系数延长。节目段2被去除,节目段3和4正常显示,节目段5以0.85的系数延长,节目段6被抑制,而节目段7不变。

Claims (7)

1.一种用于抑制广播节目中的不需要的节目段的方法,所述方法包括以下步骤:
确定是否已启动节目控制方式(202);
当已启动所述节目控制方式时,装入与来自服务提供商的节目内容有关的节目信息(204);
识别在接收的节目信息中是否存在不需要的节目段(208);
如果在接收的节目信息中识别出存在不需要的节目段,则通过比较紧接不需要节目段的前一个需要节目段的时长与不需要节目段和前一个需要节目段的组合时长,以确定所述需要节目段的时长与所述组合时长之比是否大于等于或者小于时间延长极限系数,从而确定是否可以延长需要的节目段来对去除不需要的节目段进行补偿(402);以及
如果能够延长需要的节目段来对去除不需要的节目段进行补偿,则计算用于去除不需要的节目段(404,406,412,414,416)的时间补偿系数;以及
在已去除全部不需要的节目段的情况下向用户不间断地显示所述节目。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括在接收的节目信息中没有不需要的节目段时,恢复到正常工作方式(210)的步骤。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述确定是否可以延长需要的节目段的步骤还包括以下步骤:
比较(402)紧接不需要节目段的前一个需要节目段的时长与所述时间延长极限系数和所述组合时长的乘积,其中所述组合时长是不需要节目段和前一个需要节目段的组合时长;
当紧接不需要节目段的前一个需要节目段的时长大于或等于所述乘积时,计算时间延长系数(404);以及
当所述紧接不需要节目段的前一个需要节目段的时长小于所述乘积时,计算等待时间(412)。
4.如权利要求3所述的方法,还包括以下步骤:
按照计算的时间延长系数延长紧接所述不需要节目段的前一个需要节目段;和/或
延迟所述节目的开始,所延迟的时间等于计算的等待时间。
5.如权利要求4所述的方法,还包括以下步骤:
向所述用户显示所计算的等待时间;以及
要求用户输入(228)以便确认所述节目延迟计算的等待时间后开始。
6.如权利要求3所述的方法,其中:
所述计算时间补偿系数的步骤包括,使延迟节目开始的时间段、或者延长需要节目段的时长、或者延迟节目开始的时间段和延长需要节目段的时长的总量等于计算的不需要节目段的时间补偿系数。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中:
所述时间延长极限系数的范围为0.85至1。
