Description
本发明涉及一种切割基于氨基塑料的开孔泡沫的改进方法以及生产絮片或细碎颗粒的方法,及其用途。
已知基于蜜胺/甲醛缩合产物的开孔泡沫在建筑及车辆中用于多种隔热及隔音应用,并且还用作绝缘及减震包装材料。
已知基于蜜胺-甲醛树脂的开孔泡沫的颗粒或絮片作为回收材料可以粘接在一起形成新的泡沫块(EP-B 451 535)。还可以用作改善土壤的材料。然而,当对开孔泡沫进行干切时会形成粉尘。
在磨料与抛光膏中,经常使用颗粒尺寸小、硬度高的磨料颗粒,但这导致在抛光过程中在待抛光表面上形成细微划痕。德国实用新型DE 298 08991 U1提出使用这样的抛光膏:其中磨料分散于载体物质中,并且该抛光膏的粘度在用于抛光塑料表面的抛光条件下降低。
DE-A 31 02 567记载了一种用于抛光金属表面的磨料与抛光膏,其中将硬度介于磨料颗粒的硬度与该膏熔体硬度之间的均匀分布的粉末颗粒引入该熔体中。作为粉末颗粒,提到了金属颗粒,例如铜粉、铝粉、锌粉、黄铜粉等。
本发明的一个目的是克服上述缺陷,寻找一种简单且无粉尘的切割基于氨基塑料的开孔泡沫的方法以及生产絮片或细碎颗粒的方法。
我们已相应地发现了一种切割基于氨基塑料的开孔泡沫的方法,该方法包括将开孔泡沫用一种液体浸渍,并将经浸渍的泡沫切割。这样,可以例如通过冲压机以无粉尘的方式塑造甚至复杂的轮廓。
此外,我们已发现一种生产细碎颗粒的方法,该方法包括将基于氨基塑料的开孔泡沫用一种液体浸渍,并将经浸渍的泡沫粉碎,以形成平均直径在0.1-1000μm范围内,优选在50-500μm范围内的颗粒。
作为开孔泡沫,优选使用基于蜜胺-甲醛缩合产物且比重为5-100g/l,特别是8-20g/l的弹性泡沫。泡孔数通常在50-300个泡孔/25mm范围内。拉伸强度优选在100-150kPa范围内,断裂伸长率在8-20%范围内。
为生产泡沫,可以如EP-A 071 672或EP-A 037 470中所记载,通过热空气、蒸汽或微波辐射使含有发泡剂的蜜胺-甲醛预缩合物的高度浓缩溶液或悬浮液发泡并固化。这样的泡沫可以从BASF Aktiengesellschaft以名称市购。
蜜胺/甲醛的摩尔比通常在1:1-1:5范围内。为生产甲醛含量特别低的泡沫,将摩尔比选在1:1.3-1:1.8范围内,并且使用不含亚硫酸盐基团的预缩合物,如例如WO 01/94436中所记载。
根据本发明,将开孔泡沫在切割或粉碎之前用液体如醇、酮、液态烃或水浸渍。优选使用水。
粉碎过程可以通过具有旋转刀具或压碎部件的常规粉碎机进行。合适的粉碎机为例如磨机,例如球磨机,或Ultraturrax、挤出机。
根据粉碎机的类型或刀具的旋转速度,可以得到细碎颗粒(粉末)或类似脱脂棉的碎片(絮片)。这样,可以将一块用水或醇浸渍过的泡沫以特别简单且无粉尘的方式加工成氨基塑料颗粒悬浮体。如果需要,可以随后将该悬浮体过滤或离心,并且随后可将得到的粉末干燥。
经干燥的粉末或絮片可以例如作为聚集体在挤出机中加入聚合物熔体中,或者在园艺或农业中用作改善土壤和调节湿度的材料。
除了可以在开孔泡沫的生产或进一步加工中再利用生产中的边角料或废料之外,可通过本发明方法获得的絮片或细碎粉末还特别适用作表面的清洁或抛光材料。
细碎粉末在这里可以或者直接以干燥形式,或者优选直接以含水悬浮液形式施用于海绵或无纺布和机织物,或作为涂料与成膜聚合物一起施用。特别优选含有蜜胺树脂的泡沫、无纺布或机织物。当使用无纺布或机织物时,压力易于控制,并且清洁作用可以与需要相适应。
由于开孔泡沫具有阻燃性,本发明的絮片和颗粒与水相结合适合用作出色的灭火介质。
此外,有机物质,例如洒在海上的油,可以通过本发明的絮片快速并容易地从水的表面上吸收掉,并通过将浸渍的絮片收集或用泵抽走而进行处理。
本发明还提供一种抛光膏,它含有可通过上述方法得到的细碎氨基塑料颗粒作为磨料。由于该磨料为有机物,因此它的硬度比通常使用的磨料颗粒如金刚石、α-氧化铝或硅酸盐要低。
因此,它可以单独使用于抛光膏中,或者在合适的情况下与其它常规的强磨蚀性磨料如氧化铝、氧化镁、氧化铬、氧化锡(IV)、氧化铁、碳化硅、硅藻土、金刚石粉、氧化铈和/或氧化锆一起使用。
用于抛光膏的合适载体物质为例如水、醇、聚乙二醇或蜡。用于抛光膏的载体物质优选预先在粉碎操作之前用作浸渍开孔泡沫的液体。
其它常规添加剂,例如悬浮稳定剂、抗沉降剂、膨润土或芳香剂,可以加入抛光介质或抛光膏中。
抛光介质或抛光膏适合对以下物品进行轻柔的清洁和抛光:塑料、玻璃、车窗、涂敷表面、金属、磁性数据载体、电子电路、硅晶片或牙齿、假牙、牙齿填充物或人造牙。
机械抛光可以通过将目标工件,例如包括金属、玻璃、木材、塑料或皮革,轻轻按压在水平圆盘上来进行,该圆盘由马达驱动,由呢绒布或丝绒覆盖,并且涂有本发明的抛光介质或抛光膏。

实施例1
将密度为15g/m3的一块2cm×4cm×10cm的开孔蜜胺-甲醛泡沫(BASF Aktiengesellschaft的)用水浸渍,并在家用混合器(Moulinex)中粉碎5分钟。由此得到固含量约2重量%的悬浮液。

4.根据权利要求1-3中任一项的方法,其中开孔泡沫的比重在5-100g/l范围内。
5.根据权利要求1或2的方法,其中开孔泡沫由蜜胺/甲醛摩尔比在1:1-1:5范围内的蜜胺-甲醛缩合产物制得。
6.一种通过权利要求1-5中任一项的方法得到的颗粒或絮片。
7.权利要求6的颗粒或絮片在清洁或抛光表面中的用途。
8.含有权利要求6的颗粒的抛光膏。
9.权利要求8的抛光膏在抛光塑料、玻璃、涂敷表面、金属、磁性数据载体、电子电路、硅晶片或牙齿中的用途。
