在传统的无源矩阵显示器中,逐条线地驱动显示器,因而针对每条线路需要高位驱动器(因为仅被照亮帧时段的一部分)。MLA技术一次驱动多条线,以及在TMA技术中同时驱动所有的线,并根据当在观察者的眼中整合时给出所期望的图像的印象的多个连续显示的子帧构建图像。在多个线扫描时段上构建每行(每条线)所需的发光轮廓、而不是将其构建为 在单个线扫描时段中的脉冲。因而,可以减小每个线扫描时段中的像素驱动,因而由于降低驱动电压和减少电容损耗而延长显示器的使用寿命和/或减少功耗。这是因为OLED的寿命随着像素驱动(亮度)减少至典型地1到2次幂,但是为了给观察者提供相同的视亮度(apparent brightness)而必须驱动像素的时间长度仅实际上随着减小的像素驱动而线性增加。有利的程度部分取决于共同驱动的线路组之间的相关性。
图1a示出了用于一次驱动一行的传统驱动方案的行G、列F和图像X矩阵。图1b示出了用于多线寻址方案的行、列和图像矩阵。图1c和1d示出了针对所显示图像的典型像素的帧时段内的像素亮度,或等同于对像素驱动,示出了通过多线寻址获得的峰值像素驱动的减小。
问题在于确定针对子帧的行和列驱动信号的组,使得子帧组逼近所期望的图像。先前在国际专利申请号GB2005/050167-9中描述了对该问题的解决方案(所有三个申请一并引入作为参考)。优选技术采用描述了所期望图像的矩阵的非负矩阵因数分解。因数矩阵(由于OLED显示器元件提供正(或零)发光,所以因数矩阵的元素为正)最佳地定义了针对子帧的行和列驱动信号。之后在可以操作本发明的实施例的上下文中描述了一个优选的NMF技术,尽管也可以采用其它技术。
参照图1a,首先描述整体OLED显示器系统100,该系统将实现本发明实施例的显示器驱动数据处理器150结合在硬件(优选)、软件或两者结合中。
在图2a中,无源矩阵OLED显示器120具有行驱动器电路112驱动的行电极124以及列驱动器110驱动的列电极128。这些行和列驱动器详示于图1b中。列驱动器110具有用于设置列电极的一个或多个的电流驱动的列数据输入109;类似地,行驱动器电路112具有用于设置行的两个或更多个的电流驱动比率的行数据输入111。优选地,输入109和111是易于接口的数字输入;优选地,列数据输入109针对显示器120的所有U列设置电流驱动。
在可以是串行或并行的数据和控制总线102上提供用于显示的数据。总线102向帧存储器103提供输入,该存储器存储针对显示器的每个像素的亮度数据,或者在彩色显示器中存储针对每个子像素的亮度信息(该信 息可以编码为单独的RGB彩色信号或亮度和色度信号或其它)。存储在帧存储器103中的数据确定针对显示器的每个像素(或子像素)的所期望的视亮度,并可以通过显示器驱动数据处理器150经由第二读取总线105读取该信息。显示器驱动数据处理器150优选地执行输入数据预处理、NMF、以及后处理。
图2b示出了适合驱动具有因数分解图像矩阵的显示器的行和列驱动器。列驱动器110包括一起汇集成组、并具有用于将电流设置给每个列电极的可变参考电流Iref的一组可调整实质恒定的电流源。该参考电流通过针对从NMF因数矩阵的行导出的每个列的不同值进行脉冲宽度调制。OLED具有二次伏安相关性,限制了对行和列驱动变量的独立控制。由于PWM允许列和行驱动变量互相去耦,所以PWM是有用的。
利用PWM驱动,可以通过随机地高频振动(dither)PWM周期的开始来降低峰值电流,而不是总是将周期中的“开”(on)部分作为PWM周期的开始。在关闭时间大于50%的情况下,通过在可用时段的结束处使“开启”部分的定时开始一半的PWM周期,可以取得具有较低复杂度的类似益处。潜在地,这可以将峰值行驱动电流降低50%。
行驱动器112包括可编程的电流镜像,优选地,显示器的每行(或针对同时被驱动行块的每行)有一个输出。从NMF因数矩阵的列得到行驱动信号,并且行驱动器112针对每行分布总列电流,从而针对行的电流在比率控制输入(R)设置的比率中。可以在申请人的PCT申请GB2005/010168(一并引入作为参考)中找到适合的驱动器的其它细节。由于(在该设置中)通过行驱动器有效地将行信号标准化,所以在后处理中调整列驱动参考电流和/或子帧时间进行补偿。
本发明的实施例针对该后处理的方面。例如,后处理也可调整与子帧中最亮像素的亮度成正比的每个子帧的持续时间,从而通过增加的持续时间以及增大的驱动(因而延长了像素寿命)取得高亮度。可以调整相对子帧持续时间(按比例),从而保持所期望的整体帧速率。
从GB2005/010168摘取的图2c和2d示出行驱动器。
在图2c的示例中,采用具有所谓的贝塔助手(Q5)的双极电流镜像。V1是典型地3V左右的电源,以及数字可控的电流源215、217,I1和I2 定义了Q1和Q2的集电极中的电流比。两个线路252、254的电流是I1比I2的比率,并以该比率在两个所选行之间划分给定总列电流。提供两个行电极多路复用器256a、b以允许对提供参考电流的一个行电极和提供“输出”电流(电流宿)的另一个行电极的选择。通过提供虚线258内的电路的重复实现,可以将该电路扩展至随意数量的镜像行。
在图2d的可选示例中,每个行具有与图2c中的虚线258内的电路相对应的电路,即具有电流镜像输出级,然后一个或多个行选择器将这些电流镜像输出级中所选的电流镜像输出级与一个或多个相应的可编程参考电流源(源或宿)连接。另一个选择器选择要用作电流镜像的参考输入的行。此外,尽管只示出了两个同时驱动的行,但是可以理解,易于扩展电路以给定的电流率同时驱动任何数量的行。
在优选的TMA行驱动器中,不采用所示出的输出行选择,相反,针对显示器的每个同时驱动的行提供单独的电流镜像输出。

一般来说,上述计算可以以最小二乘法拟合为特征。由于通常将行R和列C矩阵初始化,所以矩阵Q起初以目标矩阵的形式开始,从而它们所有的元素都相同,并且等于平均值initialRC。然而,从那时起,矩阵Q表示图像和组合子帧的结果之间的余量差—理想地Q=0。这样,一般来说,该过程通过添加针对子帧p的基值(contribution)开始,然后针对每行找出最佳列值,之后针对每列找出最佳行值。然后从Q中减去更新的行和列值,该过程继续至下一个子帧。典型地,执行多次重复(例如1到100次),从而针对子帧组的R和C向最佳拟合收敛。所采用的子帧数p是经验选择,但可以是例如1到1000之间。
在图1e中示意性地示出将Q因数分解为行和列因数矩阵R和C。图1f示意性地示出使用来自行和列因数矩阵R和C的子帧数据驱动具有一个时间子帧的显示器。足够快速地显示子帧,从而它们在观察者的眼中组合以给出所期望显示图像的印象。
在该说明书中,技术人员将理解对行和列的参考是可互换的,以及例如在以上方程系统中,处理确定更新的Rpy和Cxp值的顺序可以交换。
在上述方程集中,优选地采用所有整数运算,以及优选地R和C值包括8位值以及Q包括带符号的16位值。然后,尽管R和C的值的确定可以涉及舍入,但是由于Q利用所舍入的值进行更新(以及R和C的值的积不能比Q内所容纳的最大值大),所以在Q中不存在舍入误差。上述过程可以直接应用到彩色显示器的像素中(以下将详细描述)。可选地,因为眼睛对不完全的黑色不成比例的敏感,可以采用权重W矩阵以将低亮度值中的误差加权为较高。因为眼睛对绿色误差不成比例的敏感,可以应用类似加权以增加在绿色通路中误差的权重。
基于上述NMF过程的针对显示驱动器系统的实际实施方式的典型参数组可以具有每秒25帧的所期望的帧速率,每帧包括具有例如160子帧的过程的20次重复。可以在例如DSP(数字信号处理器)上以软件实现NMF过程,但是也描述了实现本过程更便宜、更低功率实施方式的硬件结构(一并引入作为参考的2006年3月23日提交的英国专利申请号0605748.3)。
图3示出了OLED显示驱动器系统300的另一示例的框图。图3的系统包括非负矩阵因数分解系统310,用于如上所述在DSP上或以硬件执行NMF。NMF系统包括加载目标图像数据的NMF处理器304,所述处理器304与行306和列308存储器块耦合,用于存储因数矩阵R和C。系统300接收可以是单色或彩色视频数据的输入图像数据,且执行可选预处理302用于例如伽马修正。将系统310的NMF输出提供至后处理器312用于实现以后描述的本发明的实施例。然后将数据传输至与显示存储器316耦合的控制器314,并传输至行318和列320驱动器用于驱动OLED显示器322。
发明内容
一般来说,将描述用于修改各个子帧的显示时段以使TMA驱动的优势最优化的系统和方法。实施例提供减小的峰值和典型的亮度、更有效地操作、增加的寿命和/或减小的驱动电流。更一般地,实施例便于像素亮度和峰值驱动电流之间精心设计的折衷。
根据本发明,因而提供一种使用多个时间子帧驱动电致发光显示器以显示图像的方法,针对所述子帧的数据包括用于驱动所述显示器的相应的第一和第二轴的第一组驱动值(R;C)和第二组驱动值(C;R),所述子帧具有相关联的子帧显示时间,所述方法包括:响应于所述子帧的所述驱动值的一个或多个,确定所显示的子帧的所述子帧显示时间;以及驱动所述显示器以将所述时间子帧显示相应的所述子帧显示时间。
在该方法的实施例中,通过根据一个或多个针对子帧的驱动值修改子帧的显示时间,可以使一个或多个驱动参数优化。例如,通过与子帧中最亮像素的亮度成正比调整(延长)子帧显示时间,可以减小针对像素的最大驱动(较长的显示时间补偿减小的驱动以给出相同的视亮度),从而增 加显示器使用寿命。
在一些优选的实施例中,针对显示器轴之一采用脉冲宽度调制(PWM)驱动。在这种情况下,通过调整针对PWM驱动的时钟周期,可以调整子帧的持续时间,这具有减少舍入误差的优点。更具体地,将时钟延展以至针对相关子帧在该轴上的实际最大驱动值,而不是至该轴上的最大可能驱动值(例如255)。
在另一个优化中,可以通过与相关轴上的最大驱动(更具体地,针对显示器的行列的最大驱动)成正比地调整显示时间,将针对显示器的一个或其它的驱动最小化。在另一个优化中,可以与子帧整体驱动成正比地调整子帧的显示时间,例如使来自电源的整体驱动电流最小化。此外或可选地,可以选择子帧的显示时间以优化这些显示器参数的一个或多个与例如参数的线性或幂缩放(power scaling)的组合。
可以理解,可以单独针对完整的图像、或(实施例中)图像的空间部分或子部分、或一个或多个彩色平面,或者针对其组合采用该技术。
事实上就该技术的应用而言,子帧显示的顺序并不重要。
在一些优选地实施例中,显示驱动包括电流驱动。因而,例如显示器的一个轴(例如列轴)可以具有电流驱动(源或宿),以及显示器的另一个轴(例如行轴)可以具有比率驱动,以根据针对第二显示轴的驱动值确定的比率(针对每行)在第一轴上划分整体驱动。在一些优选的实施例中,不具有比例驱动的轴具有脉冲宽度调制驱动。由于这允许针对显示器的第一和第二轴的驱动有效地彼此去耦合,所以这对OLED显示器尤其有效。
如上所述,在采用PWM驱动的情况下,针对子帧的参考驱动(电流)可以与子帧的持续时间成反比。优选地,应用缩放(scaling),使得针对显示器的实际驱动信号在控制范围之内,通常在显示器和驱动器电路的响应是相对线性并精确可控的范围之内。在采用针对显示器的一个轴的PWM驱动的方法的实施例中,根据最大驱动值调整PWM驱动的时钟是有优势的,从而当对驱动值定时时,计数器计数至该最大值(而不是,例如,保持时钟不变且计数至针对驱动的最大可能值)。优选地,通过左移位缩放针对其它轴的驱动值,从而设置最大值的最高有效位(MSB)(逻辑“1”,假设通常惯例)。
在采用PWM控制的方法的一些优选实施例中,利用至少12位分辨率定义PWM时钟周期。优选地,利用至少10位分辨率定义参考值(电流)。
在一些特别优选实施例中,该方法还包括例如沿着引言中所描述的线路对输入图像数据定义的目标矩阵进行因数分解。典型地,在因数分解之前预处理图像数据,例如以应用伽马修正,并可选地用于其它调整。如前所述,优选地产生第一和第二因数矩阵,当乘在一起时逼近目标矩阵。这些中的一个描述了第一组驱动值(针对第一显示轴)或每个子帧,以及另一个描述了针对每个子帧的第二组驱动值(针对显示器的第二轴)。
该方法的实施例尤其适合驱动OLED显示器。典型的显示器具有可选的不同颜色的多个像素,每个像素可通过行电极和列电极进行寻址。优选地,显示器包括无源矩阵显示器。
然而,该方法以及描述的显示驱动器以及系统的应用不限于OLED显示器但是也可应用于例如无机LED显示器、等离子显示器、真空荧光显示器以及诸如iFire显示器的厚和薄膜电致发光显示器。显示器可以是彩色或单色的。
本发明还提供用于电致发光显示器(特别用于OLED显示器)的驱动器,包括用于实现根据本发明的方法的装置。
因而,本发明还提供一种用于处理数据的显示驱动器数据处理系统,用于使用多个时间子帧驱动电致发光显示器以显示图像,针对所述子帧的数据包括用于驱动所述显示器的相应的第一和第二轴的第一组驱动值(R;C)和第二组驱动值(C;R),所述子帧具有相关联的子帧显示时间,所述系统包括:用于响应于所述子帧的所述驱动值的一个或多个,确定所显示的子帧的所述子帧显示时间的装置。

具体实施方式
首先描述一些一般种类的子帧时间计算方法,然后给出详细示例。
在实施例中,后处理的目标是延长各个子帧的时间周期(period),从而优化TMA驱动的优势。没有时间周期延长,根据所显示的图像,则不会从TMA中受益。例如利用空白、白色屏幕(其中仅在一个子帧中产生整个图像,而其它是空的),如果将所有子帧设置为相同长度,则驱动器必须尝试在可用帧时段的一部分中传递整个帧电流。
可以延长子帧以取得如下设置的四个基本目标中的一个。更一般地,在这些优化之间选择折衷点。在以下,R表示针对子帧的行值的矢量,以及C表示针对子帧的列值的矢量。
1.最小化像素亮度。在这种情况下,每个子帧的长度(持续时间)将与由RmaxCmax给出的、在给定的子帧中最亮的像素成正比(其中下标max表示子帧集中的最大值)。
2.最小化行电流。子帧长度将与由RmaxCsum给出的最高行电流成正比。这假设列是时分(PWM)轴(如图2b所示),并且行是电流(比率)控制轴。也假设有效地在时间上分布列驱动信号,例如如前所述通过高频振动“开”脉冲的开始时间。如果不是这种情况,那么通过Rmax乘以非零列信号的计数给出峰值电流(由于在子帧开始处,所有的列都是“开”)。然而,使用这作为基础是次优的,因为它能产生一些非常差的分配。优选地,因此,假设时分轴(PWM)上的时隙合理很好地分布。
3.最小化列电流。这类似于上述优化(2)。根据针对时分或PWM驱动(即如果行是时分轴)使用哪个轴,会出现与时隙分布类似的问题。可以理解,将显示器的哪个轴标为“行”轴以及哪个轴标为“列”轴是随机的。忽视非时间分配情况,则通过RsumCmax给出最大列电流。
4.最小化帧电流。这可能比前述优化作用小,除非整个电流源上有限制。然而,或许可以通过不损害显示器性能的其它方面的其它方式克服这些限制。但是如果期望最小化帧电流,则子帧时隙应该与RsumCsum给出的 总子帧电流成正比。
5.参照图4,示出了以上子帧时间分配选项(1)-(4)的可视图。更一般的情况包括这四个选项之间的折衷,可视为正方形各角限定的区域内的点(5)。在该更一般的情况中,子帧时隙可以与(Rmax)(1-0)(Rsum)B(Cmax)(1-b)(Csum)b成正比,其中a和b从0到1变化。利用这种方法,也可使用其它函数(例如线性函数)在不同的极值(1)-(4)之间缩放。根据max和sum值在大小上可以十分不同,并且它们的差可以从子帧到子帧变化来选择幂缩放。易于以查找表实现幂缩放(如果固定),尤其因为时隙不需要太精确的计算,只要它们大致正确即可。计算紧随优选需要精确的时间分配之后。
一旦决定了优化标准,则将帧时间细分为与该标准成正比的时隙,更具体地,与优化标准的值(例如RsumCmax)成正比的时隙。一般地,对子帧被认为太微不足道而不显示的标准,存在针对时隙长度的最小界限。可以限定最小有用子帧时隙(例如子帧可以在根据系统时钟周期数量的持续时间上分配),其中如果子帧具有少于一个时隙、或少于半个时隙的持续时间,则可认为子帧微不足道。
接下来描述(例如图2b中所示)驱动器装置的上下文中上述技术的优选实施方式。优选地,因此一个驱动器轴提供由参考电流按缩放的脉冲宽度调制电流驱动。优选地,另一个轴提供按比例的电流控制,根据针对轴的相应驱动值的比率规定的相对比率划分该轴上的电流。
首先描述PWM参考的确定。
基于所分配的时间计算参考电流。这与给定子帧中电流控制轴的总和成正比,以及与子帧时间成反比。如果参考电流超过它被设定的界限,则重调子帧时间。可选地,可以缩放其它子帧时间以腾出空间。
接下来描述对R和C值进行位移。
在确保所有组件正在它们控制范围内的电流控制(比率)轴上,最好将给定子帧中的值缩放,从而设定最大值的最高有效位(MSB)。例如,如果数据是8位,且如果最大值是35,那么该轴上的所有数据应该向左移两位(即乘以4),给出最大值140(即在128和255之间)。
在时间控制(脉冲宽度调制)轴上,最好延长脉冲以填充可用时间。因而,可以有效地延长PWM驱动的“开”(on)时间,使得它实际上等 于PWM时钟周期。这样做最简单的方式,不是缩放值,而是延长PWM时钟,并仅计数至最大值。延长值会引入舍入误差,不必给出简单的可选项。这在以下给出的详细示例中完成。此外,在该示例中,在时间分配阶段直接计算PWM时钟脉冲长度,而不是以后执行额外的除法。
现给出基于以上优化(1)实现的优选子帧时间计算方法的详细示例。
在该示例中,时间控制(PWM)轴是行轴,并且电流(比率)控制轴是列轴。因而,相对于图2b所示,交换了行和列驱动器的设计。
后处理计算的详细示例

现解释上述示例过程之后的工作,以定时开始。
一般,解决后处理的起点总是定时。这具有清晰的界限,一个帧的长度(例如10ms),以及用于分配的明确标准—在这种情况下,通过像素最小化峰值驱动电平。为了达到这个目标,应该分配子帧的长度,从而峰值像素电流针对所有的子帧实际上是不变的,因而,每个子帧应该相对于帧时间持续定义为 /的时间。
为了确定子帧时间的精确度,需要最小化的有用的子帧显示时段。在试验中,已从模拟和最小编程时间中发现这个时段在10μs左右。给出所需的10位(1024)精确度,这等于(假定10ms)帧时间的1/1000。给出212常数,增加额外的2位容差。由于实际希望通过PWM时钟脉冲持续时间,以及在一个子帧中将存在时钟脉冲,所以需要将子帧时间周期 除以,将从方程(5)的分子中删除。给定R的范围(在该示例中,8位),需要将tp值的精确度增加至212+8=220。这给出方程(4)用于分母,以及方程(5)用于分子。

计算出k的最简单的方式是通过简单的已知图像—在该情况下是白色屏幕。

这里,ip是12位值,所以它具有最大值4096。根据模拟,最大值应该是白屏所需标称值的大约16倍。然而,期望留下足够的开销(overhead),并保持足够的分辨率(从而舍入误差不会太明显)。已发现12位对于所需 质量并不足够—为此,需要白屏情况的1/64的最小电流以及160倍的最大值,总共需要14位。因此选择给出以10μA步长的41mA的最大参考的折衷,以大量开销(~57倍)满足针对白屏情况(提供72步长)的至少64步长的需求。因而,针对白屏的标称值ip选择为72,表示720μA。将该值代入(10),得到:

Claims (27)
1.一种利用多线寻址、使用多个时间子帧驱动电致发光显示器以显示图像的方法,所述方法包括:
输入定义了所述图像的图像数据;
根据所述图像数据确定定义了多个所述时间子帧的数据,当被显示时,所述子帧组合以给出所述图像的印象;针对所述子帧的数据包括分别用于驱动所述显示器的第一和第二轴的第一组驱动值(R)和第二组驱动值(C),其中所述第一轴包括行轴,所述行轴包括所述显示器的多个行,以及所述第二轴包括列轴,所述列轴包括所述显示器的多个列,以及所述子帧具有相关联的子帧显示时间;
在使用所述第一组驱动值驱动所述显示器的多个行的同时,使用所述第二组驱动值驱动所述显示器的多个列;
响应于所述子帧的所述驱动值中的一个或多个,确定所显示的子帧的所述子帧显示时间;以及
驱动所述显示器以将所述时间子帧显示相应的所述子帧显示时间。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述子帧显示时间响应于所述第一组驱动值的最大值与所述第二组驱动值的最大值的乘积。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述子帧显示时间响应于所述第二组驱动值的和与所述第一组驱动值的最大值的乘积。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述子帧显示时间响应于所述第一组驱动值的和与所述第二组驱动值的最大值的乘积。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述子帧显示时间响应于所述第一组驱动值的和与所述第二组驱动值的和的乘积。
6.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述子帧显示时间响应于以下两个或多个的组合:所述第一组驱动值的最大值、所述第二组驱动值的最大值、所述第一组驱动值的和、以及所述第二组驱动值的和。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述驱动包括利用脉冲宽度调制驱动来驱动显示器的所述第一和第二轴之一,所述方法还包括调整所述脉冲宽度调制驱动的时钟周期以调整所述子帧显示时间。
8.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述驱动包括利用脉冲宽度调制驱动来驱动显示器的所述第一和第二轴之一,所述方法还包括延长所述脉冲宽度调制驱动的驱动“开”时段,从而针对子帧的显示器的相应轴的最大驱动值等于所述脉冲宽度调制驱动的时钟周期。
9.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括利用由所述第一组驱动值的相对比率确定的值,驱动所述显示器的所述第一轴;以及利用由所述第二组驱动值确定的脉冲宽度调制值,驱动所述显示器的所述第二轴。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述脉冲宽度调制驱动包括驱动所述显示器的所述第二轴,以及响应于所述第二组驱动值的最大值,调整所述脉冲宽度调制时钟,以缩放所述第二组驱动值。
11.如权利要求7所述的方法,其中所述脉冲宽度调制驱动包括利用脉冲宽度调制参考值进行驱动,所述方法还包括根据子帧的所述显示时间的倒数,调整所述子帧的所述参考值。
12.如权利要求7所述的方法,其中所述第一组驱动值的值具有数字表示,所述方法还包括左移位所述第一组驱动值中的值,从而所述数字表示的最高有效位设置用于所述第一组驱动值的最大值。
13.如权利要求7所述的方法,还包括控制所述脉冲宽度调制时钟周期为至少12位分辨率。
14.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括输入定义了与所述图像对应的目标矩阵的图像数据;以及将所述目标矩阵因数分解,以确定分别定义了针对所述多个子帧的所述第一和第二组驱动值的第一和第二因数矩阵。
15.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述显示器包括OLED显示器。
16.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述多线寻址包括整体矩阵寻址。
17.一种用于驱动电致发光显示器的显示驱动器,其中所述显示驱动器被配置为利用多线寻址、使用多个时间子帧以显示图像,所述显示驱动器包括:
用于输入定义了所述图像的图像数据的装置;
用于处理所述图像数据来确定定义了多个所述时间子帧的数据的装置,所述子帧在显示时进行组合以给予所述图像的印象;针对所述子帧的数据包括分别用于驱动所述显示器的第一和第二轴的第一组驱动值(R)和第二组驱动值(C),其中所述第一轴包括行轴,所述行轴包括所述显示器的多个行,以及所述第二轴包括列轴,所述列轴包括所述显示器的多个列,以及所述子帧具有相关联的子帧显示时间;
用于在使用所述第一组驱动值驱动所述显示器的多个行的同时,使用所述第二组驱动值驱动所述显示器的多个列的装置;
用于响应于所述子帧的所述驱动值中的一个或多个,确定所显示的子帧的所述子帧显示时间的装置;以及
用于驱动所述显示器以将所述时间子帧显示相应的所述子帧显示时间的装置。
18.如权利要求17所述的显示驱动器,还包括用于计算用来调整所述子帧显示时间的脉冲宽度调制时钟周期的装置。
19.如权利要求17或18所述的显示驱动器,其中用于驱动的装置包括用于利用由所述第一组驱动值的相对比率确定的值,驱动所述显示器的所述行的行驱动器;以及用于利用由所述第二组驱动值确定的脉冲宽度调制值,驱动所述显示器的所述列的列驱动器。
20.如权利要求17或18所述的显示驱动器,其中所述电致发光显示器包括OLED显示器。
21.如权利要求17所述的显示驱动器,其中根据所述图像数据的非负矩阵因数分解NMF中导出所述多个时间子帧,其中用于驱动的装置包括:
多个行驱动器,用于驱动所述显示器的所述行;
多个列驱动器,用于驱动所述显示器的所述列;其中所述第一和第二组驱动值分别包括行和列驱动数据;以及
其中用于确定所述子帧显示时间的装置包括:
定时控制系统,用于控制响应于针对所述行驱动器的所述行驱动数据和所述列驱动器的所述列驱动数据中的一个或多个,控制所述子帧显示器的定时。
22.如权利要求21所述的显示驱动器,其中所述定时控制系统包括用于控制针对所述多个行和列驱动器之一的脉冲宽度调制驱动信号的定时的系统。
23.如权利要求21所述的显示驱动器,其中所述图像数据定义图像矩阵,所述显示驱动器包括用于将所述图像矩阵因数分解为至少第一和第二因数矩阵的乘积的NMF系统,所述第一因数矩阵定义了所述行驱动器的行驱动数据,所述第二因数矩阵定义了所述列驱动器的列驱动数据。
24.如权利要求21所述的显示驱动器,其中所述行驱动器包括比率电流驱动器,用于根据所述行驱动数据,为所述行提供电流驱动比率,以及所述列驱动器包括脉冲宽度调制电流驱动器,用于根据所述列驱动数据,为所述列提供脉冲宽度调制电流驱动。
25.如权利要求21所述的显示驱动器,其中所述电致发光显示器包括OLED显示器。
26.如权利要求21所述的显示驱动器,还包括NMF硬件加速器,用于执行所述非负矩阵因数分解NMF。
27.如权利要求17所述的显示驱动器,其中所述多线寻址包括整体矩阵寻址。
