Background
The settlement joint between buildings is easy to cause water seepage, and water is generally prevented by embedding a rubber water stop belt in the settlement joint. When the embedded water stop is damaged due to various reasons and causes seam water seepage, the embedded water stop needs to be repaired, and a rubber water stop needs to be installed on the inner surface of the structure again for water prevention.
The general maintenance construction process is to stick the rubber water stop belt to the surface of concrete directly, and then to add a steel pressing plate on the surface, and to screw it up with expansion bolt. Because the surface of the concrete seems to be flat, but actually is not flat, the rubber water stop cannot be completely attached to the concrete, and a gap exists between the rubber water stop and the concrete, so that water leakage is caused, and the aim of completely blocking water cannot be achieved.
Therefore, a new installation method is needed to make the rubber waterstop more resistant to water penetration.

The method is realized by the following technical scheme:

respectively fixing the bottom steel plate on the concrete at two sides of the settlement joint through an expansion bolt mechanism or in a mode of welding with a steel bar in the concrete, and plugging a gap between the bottom steel plate and the concrete by epoxy resin grouting; coating polysulfide rubber on the surface of the settlement joint and the surface of the bottom steel plate, and installing a rubber water stop on the bottom steel plate coated with the polysulfide rubber; and installing an upper steel pressing plate and pressing and fixing the rubber water stop and the upper steel pressing plate by fastening nuts.
The method for fixing the bottom steel plate can be as follows:
(1) chiseling the concrete until the reinforcing steel bars are exposed, and welding the bottom steel plate on the reinforcing steel bars;
or,
(2) punching a hole in the concrete without the steel bar, filling epoxy resin into the hole, and fixing the expansion bolt in the hole; and then, welding and fixing the bottom steel plate on the expansion bolts, and welding and sealing all gaps between the expansion bolts and the bottom steel plate.
In addition, before the polysulfide rubber is coated, water-soluble polyurethane grouting, leakage-stopping quick cement and polyphenyl plastic filler are sequentially injected into the settlement joint.
And fixing the rubber water stop belt and the upper steel plate by using bolts or expansion bolts.
If the rubber water stop is to be replaced, the upper steel pressing plate is detached, the old rubber water stop is taken down, the new rubber water stop is replaced, and the upper steel pressing plate is installed and fixed.
Compared with the prior construction process, the installation method of the built-in detachable rubber waterstop has the characteristic of good water penetration prevention effect, and the rubber waterstop is firmly installed and can be conveniently replaced.
