Description
本发明涉及个性化粘性备忘板的制备方法。本发明还涉及制备个性化粘性备忘板的套件和制备粘性备忘板过程中所用的透明基底。
办公室、工厂或家庭环境中会使用到多种公告板或备忘板。其中一些涉及可以通过粘结剂或微复制型吊钩将物件粘附在其上的织物表面。其它一些则涉及含铁磁片(诸如钢),并且涉及使用磁体将物件固定在位。放置在这些公告板上的物件包括印刷或手写的纸张或卡片型物品,诸如备忘录、照片、剪报、食谱、购物单等等。除纸张或卡片之外,可以放置在这类板上的物品包括钥匙、硬币、铅笔、钢笔等等。公告板或备忘板可以有框架,也可以无框架;除了上述各种类型的粘合工具以外,还可以通过钉子、螺钉、和涂有粘结剂的钩环系统将公告板或备忘板固定到其下的表面上。
美国专利No.3,857,731描述一种前后表面均涂覆有粘结剂微球粘合基质的公告板,例如,可以利用该双层涂覆片制成临时公告板,该公告板自身可从墙壁或类似结构取下,而不会损害其下的表面。该专利还描述一种双面涂覆透明薄片,如聚酯膜,可将所述双面涂覆透明薄片临时施用到窗户,也可将所述双面涂覆透明薄片用于粘贴可替换的标记、徽章、装饰物等。
美国专利No.6,780,486描述一种公告板组件,该组件包括第一薄片,其具有可印刷的顶面和涂覆有粘结剂的下表面;还有与之结合的第一保护薄片,其每面都涂覆有隔离剂;透明薄片,其每面都涂覆有粘结剂;以及第二保护薄片,其每面都涂覆有隔离剂。在应用中,顶面印有诸如文本或图形之类内容,该组件从第一印刷薄片的粘结剂层和第一保护薄片的顶面之间分开,移除下面的第二保护薄片,将第一保护薄片和每面都涂覆有粘结剂的透明薄片的组合放置在印刷薄片的顶部,移除第一保护薄片,从而形成粘结剂层作为公告板的顶面。
现有领域中已知的粘性板有一个或多个缺点。例如,现有领域中的一些粘性板结构复杂,可能难以制造。此外,现有领域中的粘性板通常不能让使用者将备忘板个性化,因为本领域中众多已知的粘性板都是具有制造商提供的布局和外观的现成品。对于本领域中允许个性化的已知粘性板,它们通常只允许有限的个性化,并且不允许使用者将任何图像承载基底转换为粘性备忘板。
因此,人们期望找到提供个性化粘性备忘板的新方法。例如,人们期望找到将个性化选择机会最大化的方法,包括备忘板的背景图像、尺寸和形状方面的个性化。具体地讲,人们期望找到允许使用者将多种图像承载基底转换为粘性备忘板的方法。所期望的这种备忘板应该是临时性的,并且能从图像承载基底上取下而不会对其造成损坏。此外,如果所找到的方法使图像承载基底转换为粘性备忘板,同时对图像承载基底的外观影响最小或根本没有,即当备忘板粘附到图像承载基底时,备忘板几乎不可见,那么这种方法是优选的。人们的期望是,图像承载基底能以简单方便的方法转换为粘性备忘板。
第一方面,本发明提供一种制备公告板的方法,所述方法包括:
-提供一个在至少一个主表面上具有图像的图像承载基底;
-提供透明基底,所述透明基底在其一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,其中所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,在所述主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂;
将所述透明基底应用到所述图像承载基底的所述图像上,并用所述第二压敏粘结剂将所述透明薄片粘附其上。
与本发明相关的术语“图像”包括所有类型的信息表达,包括但不限于文字、字母、数字、标记、图形、照片、图片以及它们的任何组合。
第二方面,本发明提供制备公告板的套件,所述套件包括(i)至少一个可印刷的基底,其具有至少一个能够印刷的主表面,以及(ii)至少一个透明基底,该基底的一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,该主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂,其中所述第一和第二粘结剂用防粘衬垫予以保护。
另一方面,本发明提供一种制备公告板的透明基底,所述透明基底在其一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,在所述主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂,其中所述第二压敏粘结剂具有三维形貌特征,该形貌特征包括一系列使流体流出的通道,或其中所述第二压敏粘结剂以图形方式提供。
本发明的方法和本发明的透明基底使使用者将任何照片、印刷或手写纸片或类似物品转换为个性化粘性备忘板或公告板,该板具有可重新定位的压敏粘结剂表面,短笺、提醒便笺等物品可以在上面反复移开和粘贴。本发明使使用者以简单方便的方式制备个性化备忘板。尤其是,本发明使使用者快速并且容易地将透明基底粘附到诸如照片或装饰壁的图像承载基底上。这样做通常不会影响像承载基底的视觉外观,并且在移除透明基底时不会破坏或损坏图像或图像承载基底。
在本专利申请中可能会用到以下术语,其定义如下所述:
“粘合”是指通过界面力将两个表面固定在一起的状态,界面力可能由价力或互锁行为或两者一起组成(Halwey’s Condensed ChemicalDictionary,第11版,Van Nostrand Reinhold,New Tork,1987,第23页);
“背衬”是指一种薄的柔韧片,当其被放置为与压敏粘结剂紧密接触后,如果不损坏粘结剂涂层,就无法将其移除;可用的粘结剂制品,常被称作“胶带”,通常包含背衬和粘结剂,其是否具有衬垫取决于粘结剂的特性和粘结剂制品的预期使用方法;
“弹性”是指材料在变形力被移除之后,部分或完全恢复其原始形状的能力,其中没有恢复的变形量被称作永久变形或永久伸长;
“可压印”是指压敏粘结剂层或衬片在浮雕中使其部分表面被抬起或压下的能力,尤其是通过机械装置;
“压印的”是指其部分表面在浮雕中被抬起或压下的压敏粘结剂层或衬垫;
“衬垫”可与术语“防粘衬垫”互换使用,是指一种通常由纸张或塑料制成的柔韧薄片,当其被放置为与压敏粘结剂紧密接触后,可以在不损坏粘结剂涂层的情况下被移除;被涂覆的薄片可以在一个或两个表面上涂覆低表面能的涂层,通常是聚烯烃、硅氧烷、含氟化合物材料、或这些材料的组合,从而形成不粘的表面或释放表面,以使其容易脱离粘结剂层。每个表面的释放程度可以相同或不同。
“微观”是指这样的结构:尺寸足够小,以至于从任何观察平面进行观察时,都需要光学装置帮助肉眼来确定其形状。“Modern OpticEngineering”(W.J.Smith,McGraw-Hill,1966)中第104页至105页给出了一条标准,其中视觉灵敏度“.....根据能辨识的最小字符的角度大小来定义和度量”。当最小的可辨识字母在视网膜上对向5分的角高度或弧时,被认为是正常视觉灵敏度。在典型的250mm(10英寸)工作距离,该定义产生的对象横向尺寸为0.36mm(0.0145英寸);
“微结构”是指结构的构造,其中该结构至少有两个尺寸是微观的;该结构的局部视图和/或剖视图必须是微观的;
“微结构化衬垫”是指具有至少一个适合与粘结剂接触的微结构表面的衬垫;
“粘桩”在单独使用时涵盖粘结剂粘桩和复合物粘桩;
“粘性”是指粘结剂与基底之间的直接接触粘合,粘性可以特定于基底。
本发明使用的透明基底包含一个主表面上的第一压敏粘结剂。该第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂。本文使用的术语“可重新定位”是指当物件(如纸片)粘贴于其上时,可以再次从其移除而不损坏该物件,并且该物件可以再次粘贴到可重新定位的粘结剂上。尤其是,物件能够被移除和再次粘贴多次(如20-50次)而基本上不会影响物件与透明基底的粘合。理想的是,粘结剂从透明基底转移到物件的情况不发生或次数有限。
可以使用的可重新定位的粘接剂的具体例子是用于便条纸(由3M Company(St.Paul,MN,USA)生产)的可重新定位的粘接剂类型。可重新定位的粘结剂通常包含微球粘结剂,例如,美国专利No.5,824,748、No.5,756,625、No.5,714,237、No.5,571,617、No.5,045,569、No.4,495,318、No.4,166,152、No.3,857,731、No.3,691,140中描述的微球粘结剂。尤其适用的是美国专利3,691,140和美国专利4,166,152中公开的微球粘接剂。这些专利中所描述的微球粘接剂是不可熔、可分散于有机溶剂、不溶解于有机溶剂、固有粘性和弹性的均聚物或共聚物微球。这些微球直径通常在1至250μm范围内,优选的直径在5至150μm之间。这些微球在有机溶剂中不溶解,并且在除高极性有机溶剂(诸如甲醇和乙醇)之外的普通有机溶剂中是可分散的。通常,这些微球在诸如乙酸乙酯、四氢呋喃、庚烷、2-丁酮、苯、环己烷酯、异丙醇和高级醇之类的有机溶剂中是可分散的。一般利用大于临界胶束浓度的乳化剂,通过水性悬浮液聚合反应来制成这些微球。
在一个具体实施例中,可重新定位的压敏粘结剂包含的共聚物微球中包含按重量计90%至99.5%的至少一种丙烯酸烷基酯和按重量计10%至0.5%的至少一种单体,其中单体选自由基本上不溶于油、溶于水的离子单体和顺丁烯二酸酐组成的群组。该组合物的微球粘接剂在美国专利3,691,140中有所公开。微球的丙烯酸烷基酯部分一般包含亲油、水乳性、受限水溶的丙烯酸烷基单体,单体作为均聚物时通常具有低于-20℃的玻璃化转变温度。可使用的丙烯酸烷基酯单体的实例包括异辛基丙烯酸盐、4-甲基-2-戊基丙烯酸酯、2-甲基丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸仲丁酯等等。玻璃化转变温度高于-20℃的丙烯酸酯单体(即丙烯酸叔丁酯、丙烯酸异冰片酯等等)可以结合上述丙烯酸酯单体中的一种使用,只要生成的聚合物的玻璃化转变温度低于-20℃即可。另外,可通过包含微量非丙烯酸酯或甲基丙烯酸酯共聚单体来改变微球的发粘特性,这些单体是非离子的和水不溶性的,诸如二乙烯基苯和N-t-辛基丙烯酸酰胺。
微球的水溶性离子单体部分由基本不溶于油的单体构成。基本上不溶于油但溶于水是指单体溶解度低于按重量计0.5%,并且在给定温度(优选的是50℃至65℃)下,在油相单体中的溶解度与在水相中的溶解度的分配比小于0.005。
符合上述标准的离子单体包括丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸及其盐,诸如甲基丙烯酸钠、丙烯酸铵和丙烯酸钠、(I)三甲胺p-乙烯基苯甲亚胺、(II)4,4,9-三甲基-4-氮阳离子-7-羰-8-氧杂-癸-9-烯-1-磺酸盐、(III)N,N-二甲基-N-(b-异丁烯酰基-乙荃)丙酸铵甜菜碱、(IV)三甲胺甲基丙烯腈、(V)1,1-二甲基-1(2,3-二羟基托烷)胺甲基丙烯腈、以及具有上述溶解度要求的所有两性离子单体等等。
在另一个实施例中,可能会用到美国专利4,166,152中公开的微球粘结剂。这种微球粘结剂所基于的微球可以包含烷基丙烯酸酯均聚物,并且不需要上述离子共聚用单体。为了获得这些微球,美国专利4,166,152提出了烷基丙烯酸酯或烷基异丁烯酸酯的悬浮液聚合方法,该方法使用大于临界胶束浓度的乳化剂和离子悬浮液稳定剂。
可以配制透明基底上使用的可重新定位的微球压敏粘结剂,以提供所期望的如上述专利公布所公开的不同发粘程度和最终粘合力。
透明基底在与具有第一压敏粘结剂的主表面相对的主表面上,具有第二压敏粘结剂。第二压敏粘结剂用于将透明基底粘附到图像承载基底上。第二压敏粘结剂不需要是可重新定位的,通常仅需要是可移除的。可移除的是指可从图像承载基底上移除透明基底,优选的是不留下粘结剂残余,并且不会损坏图像承载基底和其上的图像。通常,第二压敏粘结剂是所设计的最终粘合力程度满足可移除性的丙烯酸树脂压敏粘结剂。在一个具体实施例中,第二压敏粘结剂是上述可重新定位的压敏粘结剂。在后一种情况下,第二压敏粘结剂的最终粘合力程度应大于第一压敏粘结剂的最终粘合力程度。例如,当第二压敏粘结剂为可重新定位的压敏粘结剂的情况下,在类似条件下测量时,其剥离强度至少为第一压敏粘结剂剥离强度的两倍,例如四倍。
在一个具体实施例中,第二压敏粘结剂被构造为在将透明基底粘附到图像承载基底的过程中,可以排出空气。在一个提供空气排出功能的具体实施例中,可以在透明基底上以图形方式涂覆第二压敏粘结剂,而不是将第二压敏粘结剂作为连续粘结剂层提供。因此,在没有粘结剂的地方,图形可包括诸如条纹、带或点之类的内容。通常会选择宽度足够小的这种带状图形以避免可能影响图像承载基底的外观。例如,带的宽度可能小于500微米,小于300微米,或者甚至小于100微米。此外,所应用的图形没有特别限制,可以是规则或不规则的,并且可以包括交叉的带或条纹。
在另一个提高空气排出功能的实施例中,第二压敏粘结剂具有三维形貌特征的通道,该通道可在粘附透明基底的过程中排出空气。一般来讲,相对于粘结剂表面(该表面没有考虑下面描述的粘桩)测量时,这些通道的平均深度小于45微米,通常在1至20微米之间,典型范围是3至10微米。可使用理想的小通道深度,因为这能将图像承载基底的任何外观影响可能性降至最低。可以仅在第二压敏粘结剂平面的一个方向上提供通道,也可以在两个方向上提供交叉通道。后者通常有利于最大程度地排出空气。此外,通道可以规则排列的直图形方式提供,也可以不规则图形的方式提供,和/或可以波纹状图形的方式提供。在其它实施例中,第二压敏粘结剂的流变特性被设计为可使得通道在使用时或使用后立即关闭。然而,即使通道在使用时关闭,仍然可以期望使用上述内容中公开的通道深度来避免影响图像承载基底的外观并将影响程度降至最低,因为如果不这样处理,那么粘结剂和透明基底中的不同张力可能导致(关闭的)通道结构显现出来,从而可能影响图像承载基底下面的图像外观。通过使用具有相反形貌特征的防粘衬垫(如EP 1011955和EP 951518中公开的那些)可以在第二压敏粘结剂中形成三维形貌特征。可以用于提供空气排出功能的其它有用三维形貌特征在美国专利No.5,273,805、No.5,462,765、No.5,650,215、No.5,897,930、No.6,197,397、No.6,524,649、No.6,524,675、No.6,630,218、No.6,759,110中有所公开。
在本发明的一个具体实施例中,可以通过提供具有两种粘合程度的压敏粘结剂来轻松定位透明基底:低粘合程度,它与图像承载基底初始接触;高粘合程度,它是通过用力将透明基底按压到图像承载基底上得到的最终所需的程度较高的粘合。最初较低的粘合程度通常将透明基底固定到图像承载基底上,同时仍然可被剥离并再次粘附定位。可用美国专利No.5,141,790、No.5,296,277、No.5,362,516、No.5,795,636中公开的方法获得可定位性。通过在压敏粘结剂表面提供粘结剂或非粘结剂粘桩可以方便地获得可定位性。例如,这些粘桩是从粘结剂表面产生的5至200微米之间的小凸起。一般来讲,这些粘桩占据的粘结剂表面不会超过30%。在施加压力以稳固地粘附透明基底后,粘桩将被推入粘结剂基质。粘桩可能由粘性材料组成或者由非粘性材料组成,在后一种情况下,透明基底能够通过在图像承载基底上滑动来定位。同样,粘桩可以是由粘性和非粘性材料的共混物组成。粘桩可以随机分布在粘结剂表面,或者以规则图形提供。同样,如EP 1011955和EP 951518中所公开的那样,可将粘桩的使用与通道的使用相结合,从而方便应用。
涉及本发明应用的透明基底包括透光的透明基底以及半透明基底,尽管通常优选透光的透明基底。透明基底通常是柔韧的基底。透明基底的厚度可以相差很大,但通常的选择标准是易于处理和粘附,并具有适当的柔韧性。透明基底的厚度通常为100微米至300微米。透明基底通常为透光或有颜色的透明聚合物薄膜,例如聚烯烃(诸如聚乙烯或聚丙烯)或聚酯。作为另外一种选择,透明基底可以是透写纸。透明基底可以以薄片形式或卷筒形式提供。在后一种情况中,使用者可将透明基底剪切成想要的尺寸。
通常通过防粘衬垫来保护透明基底上的第一和第二压敏粘结剂。可以使用本领域中已知的任何防粘衬垫,或者适合与压敏粘结剂结合使用的防粘衬垫。当透明基底以卷筒形式提供时,可以通过一个单独的防粘衬垫同时保护第一和第二压敏粘结剂。但是,可以分别通过不同的衬垫单独保护第一和第二压敏粘结剂。通常,人们期望通过透明防粘衬垫来保护第一压敏粘结剂,以便让透明基底更容易地粘附到图像承载基底上,因为应用本发明所述方法将透明基底粘附到图像承载基底的图像上时,使用者能够通过透明衬垫和透明基底看到图像。
尽管本发明构思使用透明基底在诸如照片或壁面设计等现有图像承载基底上制成备忘板,本发明还提供一个套件,该套件包括定制粘性备忘板(包括制备图像承载基底)的装置。因此,根据本发明这方面的内容,该套件包括至少一个可印刷的基底,其至少有一个可被印刷的主表面,以及(ii)至少一个透明基底,该基底的一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,在所述主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂,其中所述的第一和第二粘接剂通过防粘衬垫进行保护。
例如,套件的可印刷的基底可以是适于用喷墨印刷机印刷照片图像的照片纸。因此,在该实施例中,使用者将图像印刷到照片纸上以形成图像承载基底。随后,移除第二压敏粘结剂的防粘衬垫,将可以任意剪切为所需尺寸的透明基底粘附到图像承载基底(即印刷图案)上。如果第一粘结剂仍然受到防粘衬垫的保护,那么该制造备忘板的方法将在移除该防粘衬垫时完成。

具有第一和第二压敏粘结剂的各种透明基底的实施例如图1、图2、和图3所示。
在图1中,透明薄膜301的一个表面上涂覆了可重新定位的压敏粘结剂微球粘结剂302,另一个表面上涂覆了粘结剂层303,该层通过微复制型粘结剂表面305中的线性凹陷或“凹谷”304在应用过程中使空气能够排出。防粘衬垫306连接到顶面,防粘衬垫307连接到涂覆有粘结剂的透明薄膜的底面。薄膜301可以是透明或半透明的(部分透明的),可以是薄的半透明纸,并且可以是有色或水白色的。
在应用中,防粘衬垫307被移除,并将组件连接到所需表面。防粘衬垫306留在原处,允许使用者通过施加手压或辊的压力将组件粘附到所需的表面。优选的技术是轻轻将组件粘附到所需表面以便重新定位,直到组件在其下表面的定位上取得满意效果。接下来,通常从中心向外施加压力,以将组件牢固地粘附到表面。通过从中心向外施加压力,可以避免气泡滞留其中或将这一情况降至最低程度。此外,粘结剂层303的微复制型表面允许空气通过粘结剂层303和表面间的“凹谷”304渗出,从而进一步消除残存空气(会导致出现难看的气泡)的可能性。接下来,移除防粘衬垫306,从而暴露可重新定位的压敏粘结剂微球粘结剂层,以作为公告板的表面使用。
在施加压力的过程中,“凹谷”304可能会变平,进而消减表明它们存在的任何可见迹象,如细纹或条纹。
图2示出本发明的另一个实施例。透明膜401的一个表面上涂覆有可重新定位的压敏粘结剂微球粘结剂402,并在另一个表面上涂覆有提供两种粘合程度的粘结剂403,其中一种粘合程度为低接触粘结,用于施加轻度粘结压力以便重新定位;另一种粘合程度为施加更大压力获得的高度最终粘结,其粘结剂404的微复制型表面构造同样使得在应用过程中空气能够渗出。防粘衬垫405连接到顶面,防粘衬垫406连接到涂覆有粘结剂的透明薄膜底面。
图3示出本发明的另一个实施例。透明膜501的一个表面上涂覆有粘性和粘合力相对较低的、可重新定位的压敏粘结剂微球粘结剂502,另一个表面上涂覆有粘性相对较高的、可重新定位的压敏粘结剂微球粘结剂503。防粘衬垫505连接到顶面,防粘衬垫506连接到涂覆有粘结剂的透明薄膜底面。正是由于这种粘性程度差异,可以轻易移除粘附在公告板上的项目而不会从基底移除薄膜。
压敏粘结剂微球粘结剂层502可以以条纹或点状涂覆(未示出),从而通过未涂覆区域进一步提高空气的扩散能力。
图4示出使用本发明的一个实例,其中照片607用作个性化公告板的背景。有利的是,薄膜组件604被剪切得比照片大,以使得边沿690、691、692、693与照片重叠,从而将照片牢固地粘贴在下面的基底608上。
图5示出本发明的另一种用途,例如,将菜单701转换为个性化公告板。剪切所示出的粘结剂制品702以贴合菜单,然而,它可以被剪切得比图4中示出的实例更大。比较方便的是,可以以一系列常规尺寸(如“A.4”)提供粘结剂制品,以使得在A.4尺寸纸张或卡片上印刷的菜单能够使用相似尺寸的粘结剂制品。
图6示出本发明的另一种用途,例如,将其中一个非常规尺寸的印刷标语801转化为个性化公告板。比较方便的是,粘结剂制品可以以大片尺寸或者卷筒形式提供,并按大小剪切。剪切所示出的粘结剂制品802以贴合标语,然而,它可以被剪切得比图4中示出的实例更大。
Claims (9)
1.一种制备公告板的方法,所述方法包括:
-提供图像承载基底,所述基底在至少一个主表面上具有图像;
-提供透明基底,所述透明基底在其一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,并且在所述主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂;
-将所述透明基底应用到所述图像承载基底的所述图像上,并且通过所述第二压敏粘结剂将所述透明基底粘附其上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述第二压敏粘结剂具有三维形貌特征,所述特征包含一系列使流体流出的通道。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述第二压敏粘结剂以图形方式提供。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述第一和/或第二压敏粘结剂包含粘结剂微球。

6.一种制备公告板的套件,所述套件包括:(i)至少一个可印刷的基底,所述基底具有至少一个能够在其上印刷的主表面,以及(ii)至少一个透明基底,所述透明基底在其一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,在所述主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂,其中所述第一和第二粘接剂用防粘衬垫进行保护。
7.根据权利要求6所述的套件,其中所述第二压敏粘结剂具有三维形貌特征,所述特征包含一系列使流体流出的通道,或者其中所述第二压敏粘结剂以图形方式提供。
8.一种制备公告板的透明基底,所述透明基底在其一个主表面上具有第一压敏粘结剂,所述第一压敏粘结剂是可重新定位的压敏粘结剂,在所述主表面的相对主表面上具有第二压敏粘结剂,其中所述第二压敏粘结剂具有三维形貌特征,所述特征包含一系列使流体流出的通道,或者其中所述第二压敏粘结剂以图形方式提供。
9.根据权利要求8所述的透明基底,其中所述第一和第二压敏粘结剂由防粘衬垫保护。
