Description

光信息记录媒体
技术领域
本发明涉及一种下一代光信息记录媒体,尤其是关于一种在记录层中使用了色素的蓝光光盘等下一代光信息记录媒体。
背景技术
光盘等光信息记录媒体作为信息记录媒体正在快速普及。如上所述的光信息记录媒体有如CD-R(Compact Disk-Recordable,可记录光盘)那样的在厚度为1.2mm、直径为120mm或80mm的透光性树脂基板上依次形成着记录层、反射层的光信息记录媒体。近年来,要求更高的信息记录密度。因此,考虑缩短激光波长且使用数值孔径(NA:numerical aperture)较大的物镜的方式,实现如DVD±R(Digital Versatile Disc-Recordable(一次写入式数字通用光盘)/Digital Versatile Disc+Recordable(可记录式数字通用光盘))那样的光信息记录媒体。所述的DVD±R具有如下构造,即,为了增大基于短波长化与高NA化的磁盘的倾斜角度(仰角)的容许值,贴合2张厚度为0.6mm的透光性树脂基板,且在所述基板间夹持着反射层及记录层。
然而,近年来,为了记录高精细的影像数据,要求更高的信息记录密度。因此,提出了如蓝光光盘(BD-R)那样的具有如下构造的光信息记录媒体,即,在厚度为1.1mm的树脂基板的其中一面上形成着反射层及记录层,在形成着所述反射层及记录层的面上设置着厚度为0.1mm的透光性盖层。
如上所述的光信息记录媒体如日本专利特开2003-45079号公报所示,在其中一面上形成着导槽(预刻槽)的厚度为1.1mm的树脂基板上依次形成着反射层、记录层,而且设置着厚度为0.1mm的透光性树脂制的盖层,形成与CD-R或DVD±R相等的尺寸。另外,如日本专利特开2003-36562号公报所示,也有时为了保护记录层,在该记录层与盖层之间设置着由透光性无机材料构成的保护层。

发明内容
[发明所欲解决的问题]
所述专利文献等中记载的光记录媒体的记录层由包含偶氮系色素或花青系色素等色素的有机物质或Si、Cu、Sb、Te、Ge等无机物质构成,通过照射记录用激光形成凹坑来记录数据。然而,采用相同构造的情况下,如果为在记录层中使用了有机物质的光记录媒体,则存在抖动特性及调制度恶化的问题。有机物质的记录层在记录时照射激光形成凹坑时,有发热量增多的倾向。所述热量不仅使记录层变形,也使基板或盖层变形。然而,通常,为了确保良好的循轨,基板或盖层使用难以热变形的材料。因此可认为,由于热容易蓄积在记录层中,所以因所述热而导致抖动特性恶化。另外,有机物质的记录层有光程变化减小的倾向,因此有调制度降低的倾向。此处,为了增大光程变化,考虑加深导槽的深度。然而,在加深导槽的情况下,有记录层的色素量增多、发热量增多的倾向。因此可认为抖动特性更恶化。
本发明的目的在于获得一种即使是在记录层中使用有机物质的情况下抖动特性及调制度也良好的光信息记录媒体。
[解决问题的方法]
本发明中,作为第一发明,提出一种光信息记录媒体,其包括:基板,其在中心部分具有贯通孔且在其中一面上具有螺旋状导槽;反射层,其形成在所述基板的形成着所述导槽的面上;记录层,其形成在所述反射层上且由包含色素的有机物质构成;以及透光性盖层,其形成在所述记录层上;所述光信息记录媒体的特征在于,所述盖层由固化树脂形成,且与所述记录层相对的界面区域的弹性系数在25℃时为40MPa以下。
发明者们发现,当对光信息记录媒体进行记录而形成凹坑时,通过使盖层的界面区域塑性变形而形成使凹坑深入盖层那样的形状,则减少向记录层蓄积的热,抖动特性良好,且光程变化增大调制度良好。根据所述第一发明,通过盖层的热变形来吸收记录时的记录层发出的热,在冷却后,变形以深入到所述盖层那样的形状保留下来,因此,减少向记录层蓄积的热,抖动特性良好,并且,光程变化增大调制度良好。
另外,本发明中,作为第二发明,除所述第一发明外,提出一种光信息记录媒体,其特征在于:所述盖层由第一树脂层以及弹性系数低于所述第一树脂层的第二树脂层构成,且所述界面区域由所述第二树脂层形成。
根据所述第二发明,可以在对光信息记录媒体进行记录时,通过使第二树脂层塑性变形,减少向记录层蓄积的热,并且利用第一树脂层确保盖层的耐久性。
另外,本发明中,作为第三发明,除所述第一发明及所述第二发明外,提出一种光信息记录媒体,其特征在于:所述基板的导槽上的所述界面区域的厚度为19~30μm。
根据所述第三发明,可以确保能减少向记录层蓄积的热且使抖动特性良好的变形量。
此外,本发明的光信息记录媒体中,为了保护记录层,也可以在该记录层与盖层之间设置着由透光性无机材料构成的保护层。因此,本发明中,作为第四发明,除所述第一发明及所述第二发明外,提出一种光信息记录媒体,其特征在于:在所述记录层与所述盖层之间设置着保护层,且该保护层的压入塑性/弹性为40%以下。
在记录层与盖层之间存在保护层的情况下,为了获得本发明的效果,保护层也必须跟随于盖层的变形而变形。根据所述第四发明,保护层的塑性变形的倾向强于弹性变形的倾向,因此保护层易于跟随于盖层的变形而变形。因此,可以将C/N(Carrier to Noiseratio,载波噪声比)的变化率(ΔC/N)抑制在1dB以下,从而可以减小对抖动特性的影响。
[发明的效果]
根据本发明,在记录层中使用了包含色素的有机物质的光信息记录媒,可以获得良好的抖动特性及调制度。

具体实施方式
以下根据图1~图2,说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的第一实施形态。图1所示的光信息记录媒体1具有:圆板状基板2,其在中心部分具有贯通孔(未图示)且在其中一面上具有形成为螺旋状的导槽3;反射层4,其形成在所述基板2的形成着所述导槽3的面上;记录层5,其由形成在所述反射层4上且包含色素的有机物质构成;以及透光性盖层6,其设置在所述记录层上。
基板2是厚度t为1.1mm且直径为120mm的树脂制基板。所述基板2可以任意选择使用先前的光信息记录媒体中用作基板材料的各种材料。具体而言,可以列举:聚碳酸脂、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯等丙烯酸树脂;聚氯乙烯、氯乙烯共聚物等氯乙烯系树脂;环氧树脂;非晶聚烯烃;聚酯树脂;铝等金属;玻璃等;且可以根据需要并用所述各材料。在所述材料中,从成型性、耐湿性、尺寸稳定性及低价等方面而言,优选热可塑性树脂,尤其优选聚碳酸脂。此种基板2通过射出成形形成。此时,在模具内设置着压模,通过此压模在基板2上形成螺旋状导槽3。所述导槽3以0.35μm或0.32μm的间距从内周侧向外周侧形成为梯形螺旋槽3,且凹坑形成在所述导槽3内。
反射层4,在形成着所述螺旋槽3的区域的整个表面上由Ag合金或Al合金等反射率高的金属薄膜形成,且通过溅镀法等形成。记录层5是通过旋涂法,将包含色素的有机物质例如于TFP(tetrafluoropropanol,四氟丙醇)溶液中溶解着偶氮系色素或花青系色素等色素的有机物质涂敷到形成着所述反射层的整个表面上而形成的。
盖层6由透光性树脂形成,且通过旋涂法等将利用紫外线或射线而固化的固化树脂(硬化性樹脂)的厚度形成为0.1mm。所述盖层6的透光率在固化后的厚度为0.1mm、且以波长为405nm的光用分光光度计进行测定时为70%以上,优选80%以上。所述盖层6由固化后在25℃时的弹性系数为40MPa以下的固化树脂形成。此处,25℃时的弹性系数是通过纳米压痕技术(神户制钢技法/Vol.52,N0.2(Sep.2002)P74~P77)来测定的。此外,由弹性系数为40MPa以下的固化树脂形成的盖层6较柔软,容易损伤,因此也可以在光入射侧的表面上设置着由丙稀酸系树脂等构成的硬膜层(未图示)。另外,对于弹性系数的下限未特别限定,但为了防止因施加局部压力而导致盖层6变形,优选10MPa以上。
此处,根据图2说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的第一实施形态的作用。将记录用激光(未图示)照射到光信息记录媒体1时,导槽3内的记录层5的色素分解,形成凹坑7。此时,在记录层5中产生热,使基板2及盖层6产生热变形。为了确保良好的循轨,用难以产生热变形的材质构成基板2。因此,弹性系数低的盖层6的热变形增大。由此,凹坑7形成为深入到盖层6中的形状。
因盖层6的弹性系数较低,所以深入到盖层6中的形状的凹坑7在冷却后仍维持着深入到盖层6中的形状。如此,通过使盖层6易于产生热变形,减少向记录层5蓄积的热,且抖动特性良好。另外,通过使凹坑7形成为深入到盖层6中的形状,光程变化增大,并且折射率接近于1的空间增加,因此,提高表观上的折射率变化,获得良好的调制度。
此外,无须使盖层6整体的弹性系数为40MPa以下,仅使与记录层相对的界面区域的弹性系数为40MPa以下即可。此处,与记录层5相对的界面侧的区域是例如距记录层5与盖层6的界面有19~30μm厚度的部分。然而,凹坑7形成在导槽3内,因此存在所述导槽3的部分的厚度成为问题。因此,此时,界面侧的区域的厚度为导槽3上的界面侧的区域的厚度。
其次,根据图3~图4说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的第二实施形态。图3所示的光信息记录媒体11与第一实施形态的光信息记录媒体1不同之处在于,盖层16为弹性系数较高的第一树脂层16a与弹性系数较低的第二树脂层16b的双层构造,第二树脂层16b形成与记录层15相对的界面区域。
如上所述的盖层16以如下方式形成。在基板12的形成着导槽13的面上,依次形成反射层14及记录层15后,于此记录层15上用旋涂涂敷作为第二树脂层16b的固化树脂。使第二树脂层16b固化后,用旋涂涂敷作为第一树脂层16a的固化树脂,其后使此第一树脂层16a固化。如此,贴合第一树脂层16a及第二树脂层16b形成厚度为0.1mm的盖层16。
所述第二树脂层16b形成与记录层15相对的界面侧的区域,因此,对于其厚度而言,优选在导槽13上的厚度t为19~30μm。如果处于所述厚度范围内,则可以确保能够获得良好的抖动特性及良好的调制度的变形量。
此处,根据图4说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的第二实施形态的作用。将记录用激光(未图示)照射到光信息记录媒体11时,导槽13内的记录层15的色素分解,形成凹坑17。此时,在记录层15中产生热,第二树脂层16b产生热变形。由此,凹坑17形成为深入到盖层16中的形状。
深入到第二树脂层16b中的形状的凹坑17,因第二树脂层16b的弹性系数在25℃时为较低的40MPa以下,所以在冷却后仍维持着深入到第二树脂层16b中的形状。由此,可减少向记录层15中蓄积的热,抖动特性良好。另外,通过使凹坑17形成为深入到第二树脂层16b中的形状,光程变化增大,并且折射率接近于1的空间增多,因此,提高表观上的折射率变化,获得良好的调制度。
其次,根据图5~图7说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的第三实施形态。图5所示的光信息记录媒体21与第一实施形态的光信息记录媒体1的不同之处在于,在记录层25与盖层26之间设置着由透光性无机物质所形成的保护层28。
所述保护层28用以防止如下混和现象,即,在盖层26成膜时,记录层25中所包含的色素向盖层26扩散,或用于形成盖层26的固化树脂的溶剂等向记录层25浸透等。构成所述保护层28的材料可以列举:氧化硅尤其二氧化硅、氧化锌、氧化铈、氧化钇等氧化物;硫化锌、硫化钇等硫化物;氮化硅等氮化物;碳化硅;氧化物与硫的混合物;以及下述合金等。利用溅镀法等方法形成所述保护层28。
具有如上所述的构造的光信息记录媒体21中,必须使盖层26变形,并且使保护层28变形。为了使保护层28跟随于盖层26的变形,将保护层28的压入塑性/弹性设为40%以下即可,由此,可以将C/N的变化率ΔC/N抑制在1db以下,可以减小对抖动特性的影响。此处,压入塑性/弹性定义为
压入塑性/弹性[%]=
(弹性塑性变形功)×100/(弹性塑性变形功+塑性变形功)。
此处,根据图6所示的图表,详细说明压入塑性/弹性的定义。纳米压痕技术中,对样品施加测试荷重后,一面描画负荷曲线a一面到达位移e,从而到达位移e与测试荷重的交点c。其次,去除测试荷重时,一面描画卸载曲线b一面到达位移d。此时,将负荷曲线a、卸载曲线b以及位移轴所包围的区域A的面积设为塑性变形功[N·m],将卸载曲线b、位移轴以及连接点c与点e的垂线所包围的区域B的面积设为弹性塑性变形功[N·m]。根据所述算式,当压入塑性/弹性缩小时,点d靠近点e,区域B的面积减小,其结果为,塑性变形的倾向强于弹性变形的倾向。
此处,根据图7说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的第三实施形态的作用。将记录用激光(未图示)照射到光信息记录媒体21时,导槽23内的记录层25的色素分解,形成凹坑27。此时,产生热,第二树脂层16b以及保护层28产生热变形。由此,凹坑27形成为深入到盖层26中的形状。
深入到盖层26中的形状的凹坑27,因盖层26的弹性系数在25℃时为较低的40MPa以下,所以在冷却后也可以维持深入到盖层26中的形状。另外,保护层28的压入塑性/弹性为40%以下,塑性变形的倾向较强,因此,保护层28跟随于盖层26的变形而变形。如此,通过使盖层6易于产生热变形,减少向记录层5蓄积的热,抖动特性良好。进而,通过使保护层28易于跟随于盖层26的变形而变形,可以将ΔC/N抑制在1db以下,可以减小对抖动特性的影响。另外,通过使凹坑27形成为深入到盖层26中的形状,光程变化增大,并且折射率接近于1的空间增多,因此,提高表观上的折射率变化,可以获得良好的调制度。
此外,本实施形态中,列举了盖层26由一层树脂层形成的示例,但即使由如第二实施形态那样的双层树脂层形成所述盖层26也可以获得相同的效果。另外,对于压入塑性/弹性的下限未特别限定,但为了防止因施加局部压力而导致保护层28变形,优选10%以上。
此处,根据以下实施例说明本发明的光信息记录媒体的效果。
(实施例1)
用射出成形,制作在中心部分具有贯通孔、且具有轨距为0.32μm的导槽、外径120mm、厚度1.1mm的圆板状聚碳酸脂制基板。将Ag合金溅镀到所述基板的形成着导槽的面上而形成100nm厚度的反射层。其后,利用旋涂法涂敷在TFP溶剂中溶解着图8所示的偶氮系色素的色素溶液,以80℃干燥30分钟形成记录层。准备好所测试的样品数的记录层。
其次,利用旋涂法,将固化后在25℃时的弹性系数不同的UV(ultraviolet,紫外线)固化树脂涂敷在各已准备好的样品上,其后,进行固化并形成厚度为25μm的第二树脂层。其次,利用旋涂法,将固化后在25℃时的弹性系数为1700MPa的UV固化树脂涂敷在各样品上,其后,进行固化并形成第一树脂层,贴合所述的第一树脂层与第二树脂层,形成0.1mm厚度的盖层。
使用市场销售的记录播放装置(例如Pulstec工业(股份)制ODU-1000),以波长405nm、数值孔径(NA)0.85、线速4.92m/s,评估以如此方式获得的样品的光信息记录媒体的记录/播放特性,且求出此光信息记录媒体的记录时抖动特性及调制度。其后,从基板上剥离盖层,洗掉色素,利用纳米压痕技术,以0.1mN的测试荷重,求出第二树脂层的弹性系数。将记录时抖动特性为8.0%以下、调制度为45%以上的光信息记录媒体设定为合格品。表1及图9表示其结果。

根据以上结果,如果弹性系数为40MPa以下,则记录时抖动特性为8.0%以下,调制度为45%以上,可以获得良好的结果。
(实施例2)
用射出成形,制作在中心部分具有贯通孔且具有轨距为0.32μm的导槽、外径120mm、厚度1.1mm的圆板状聚碳酸脂製基板。将Ag合金溅镀到所述基板的形成着导槽的面上,形成100nm厚度的反射层。其后,利用旋涂法,涂敷在TFP溶剂中溶解着图8所示的偶氮系色素的色素溶液,以80℃下干燥30分钟,形成记录层。准备好所测试的样品数的记录层。
其次,利用溅镀法,将压入塑性/弹性值不同的透光性保护层材料涂敷到各样品上,形成厚度0.5μm的保护层。其次,利用旋涂法,将固化后在25℃时的弹性系数为35MPa的UV固化树脂涂敷到各已准备好的样品上,其后,进行固化,形成厚度25μm的第二树脂层。其次,利用旋涂法,将固化后在25℃时的弹性系数为1700MPa的UV固化树脂涂敷到各样品上,其后,进行固化,形成第一树脂层,贴合所述的第一树脂层与第二树脂层,形成0.1mm厚度的盖层。
使用市场销售的记录播放装置(例如pulstec工业(股份)制ODU-1000),以线速度4.92m/s、播放功率0.35mW、记录功率5.5mW、记录时播放功率(偏压功率)1.2mW,对以如此方式获得的样品的光信息记录媒体进行6T连续记录(1T长度=0.08μm),且利用频谱分析仪,测量记录后不久的C/N。继而,使播放功率增加到0.55mW,对相同轨道进行1分钟的播放,1分钟后,使播放功率恢复到0.35mW,再次利用频谱分析仪测量C/N。根据初始C/N与利用0.55mW的功率播放1分间后的C/N的差,求出ΔC/N。
对于测定了ΔC/N的各样品,从基板上剥离盖层,洗掉色素,取下保护层,利用纳米压痕技术,以0.1mN的测试荷重,求出弹性塑性变形功及塑性变形功,计算出压入塑性弹性。表2表示其结果。

根据以上结果,如果压入塑性/弹性为40%以下,则ΔC/N为1db以下,可以获得不会对抖动特性造成影响的保护层。

Claims (4)

1.一种光信息记录媒体,其包括:基板,其在中心部分具有贯通孔且在其中一面上具有螺旋状导槽;反射层,其形成在所述基板的形成着所述导槽的面上;记录层,其形成在所述反射层上且由包含色素的有机物质构成;以及透光性盖层,其形成在所述记录层上;
其特征在于:
所述盖层由固化树脂形成,且与所述记录层相对的界面区域的弹性系数在25℃时为40MPa以下。
2.根据权利要求1所述的光信息记录媒体,其特征在于:
所述盖层由第一树脂层以及弹性系数低于所述第一树脂层的第二树脂层构成,
所述界面区域由所述第二树脂层形成。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的光信息记录媒体,其特征在于:
所述基板的导槽上的所述界面区域的厚度为19~30μm。
4.根据权利要求1或2所述的光信息记录媒体,其特征在于:
在所述记录层与所述盖层之间设置着保护层,且该保护层的压入塑性/弹性为40%以下。
