背景技术
自从20世纪50年代开始,隐形眼镜(contact lens)在商业上被用于改善视力。第一副隐形眼镜由硬材料、玻璃和硬塑料做成。随后工艺的发展产生了在当今非常流行基于水凝胶的软材质隐形眼镜。眼用镜片通常独立包装,广为人知的是采用泡罩(blister)包装。典型的泡罩包装包括一个塑料碗状物,由层压箔片覆盖从而容纳镜片。参考美国专利D458023,5467868和5656362在此被整体引入作为参考。由于这些镜片的舒适性和流行性,大规模全自动生产工序包括将眼用镜片密封在主要包装件中并且对这些镜片进行消毒。参阅美国专利6054090,6018931,5696686,5577367,5488815和申请号为2004/0112008,2005/0013729的美国专利在此被整体引入作为参考。

此处的“包装液体”指的是用于清洗、膨胀、储存、消毒或水合眼用镜片的溶液。液体的例子包括但不仅限于水、去离子水、有机溶液、含水盐溶液、醇例如甲醇、乙醇、异丙醇、叔戊醇、二氯甲烷、己烷和用于生产眼用镜片的稀释液。优选的稀释液包括有机溶剂、水或其混合物。优选的有机溶剂包括酒精、二氯甲烷、己烷、二醇、三醇、多元醇和聚亚烷基二醇。例子包括但不仅限于甘油、二醇如乙二醇酯或二甘醇、多元醇的硼酸酯如美国专利4680336,4889664和5039459所述、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、乙氧基化的烷基糖苷、乙氧基化的双酚A、聚乙二醇、丙氧基化和乙氧基化的烷基糖苷混合物、丙氧基化或乙氧基化的烷基糖苷与C2-12二羟基醇单相混合物、ε-己内酯和C2-6烷二醇及三醇的混合物、乙氧基化的C3-6烷三醇、和如美国专利5457140,5490059,5490960,5498379,5594043,5684058,5736409,5910519所公开的混合物,所有上述专利在此被整体并入作为参考。稀释液也可从具有特定粘性和Hanson结合系数的化合物的组中选取,如美国专利4680336所述的那样,其在此被整体并入作为参考。优选的液体是含水盐溶液、水和去离子水。最优选的溶液是含水盐溶液,尤其是,硼酸盐缓冲盐溶液和去离子水。加工助剂可加入到液体中,包括表面活性剂如吐温、甲基纤维素、羟丙基甲基纤维素、羧基纤维素等、抗菌剂如硝酸银、硼酸盐等。
此处的“移除”指的是任何将包装液体移出眼用镜片包装件密封部分的方法,包括并不仅限于在密封部分应用真空(抽出空气),吹入压缩空气。优选的方法是施加真空将液体从密封部分移除。
此外本发明还包括将包装液体从眼用镜片包装件密封部分内移除的装置,包括
施加真空的装置,
安置在眼用镜片生产线上的支撑物,
连接在所述支撑物上的组件,
其中所述组件包括第一表面和第二表面,
其中所述第一表面包括至少一个第一孔,其穿过所述组件延伸至位于所述第二表面的至少一个第二孔,
其中所述至少一个第一孔可移动地与所述施加真空的装置连接
其中所述生产线包括至少一个包括密封部分的眼用镜片包装件和用于移动所述眼用镜片包装件通过所述生产线的装置
其中当所述眼用镜片包装件通过所述生产线时,所述眼用镜片包装件的所述密封部分在所述第二表面区域下方不超过大约2mm处。
此处的“施加真空的设备”包括但不仅限于真空泵。优选的真空泵以4-8立方英尺/分钟(cfm)运行。真空泵从每个第二孔23泵除的空气量可以通过真空泵的速率和孔的直径(或面积)用已知方法计算。最优选的真空泵由GAST制造,Model 1023。参阅图2,支撑物13可移动地安置在眼用镜片生产线(未示出)的固定结构上。组件17与支撑物13在第三表面18和第四表面19(未示出)连接。组件17的第一表面20有三个第一孔21。优选的是每个第一孔21的直径为大约4.0mm到大约5.9mm,更优的是大约5mm。优选的是第一孔21的数目从至少1个到大约5个不等,最优选的是3个。第二表面22具有数个第二孔23。优选的是每个所述第二孔的直径为大约0.75mm到大约1.5mm,更优选的是大约1.0mm。优选的是第二孔23的数目从大约至少一个到大约至少30个,更优选的是大约15个到大约25个,最优选的是大约20个。组件17可由多种材料制成,包括但不仅限于derin、特氟龙(Telflon)、铝、不锈钢和螯合的聚醚乙基酮(PEEK)。优选的是组件17由铝组成。
图3表示支撑物13通过螺钉24可移动地安置在眼用镜片生产线上的固定结构上。眼用镜片包装件14沿着箭头15的方向移动。包装件14包括眼用镜片和少量去离子水(未示出)。包装件14具有环绕凹穴26的突起密封部分25。在描述性实施方案中,包装件14在承载器16中沿生产线移动。真空管27与第一孔21(图2示出)连接并且使用真空泵施加真空。组件17可枢轴转动地在第三表面18(图2示出)和第四表面19上安置在支撑物13上。组件17以一定高度与支撑物13连接,从而允许第二表面的环绕第二孔23的区域接触包装件将要被热密封的区域或在包装件将要被热密封的区域上方不超过大约2mm处。更优选的是这个高度设置为允许第二表面的该区域接触包装件将要被热密封的区域或在包装件将要被热密封的区域上方不超过大约0.5mm处。如图3所示,当包装件在生产线上移动时,环绕第二孔23(图2示出)的第二表面22的区域(图2示出)与密封部分25相接触。当真空泵开动,在第二表面22的孔区域与密封部分25接触时,在上游工序中残留在密封部分25中的去离子水充分地被移除。
图4是组件17由螺钉28枢轴连接在支撑13物上的透视图。三个第一孔21从第一表面20延伸通过组件17,由虚线(---)21a虚画表示出。孔21a延伸通过一个由虚线(---)虚画表示的中心导槽29,其垂直于孔21a,并且连接所有的第一孔21。中心导槽29延伸通过孔23,终止在第二表面22上。优选的是每个孔21a的直径约为4.5mm到约5.5mm,更优选的是大约5.1mm。优选的中心导槽29的直径约为5mm到约7mm,更优选的是大约6.7mm。
为了例举本发明,下面的例子被包含进去。这些例子并不限制本发明。它们仅是建议了实践本发明的方法。本领域技术人员在生产镜片和其他特定物品中的丰富知识中可以找到其他实践本发明的方法。然而,这些方法均都认为是包含在本发明范围之内。
实施例1
Galifilcon A隐形眼镜基本上按照美国专利6822016的实施例49中描述的那样被制造出来。该镜片是水合性的,放置在泡罩包装件中,如美国专利D458023中所例举。500微升的50ppm甲基纤维素含水盐溶液加入到每个包装件中,并将去离子水滴加入到包装件的密封部位。铝层压箔片由在聚酯印刷材料层和定向聚丙烯(用于密封AcuvueAdvanceTM隐形眼镜的材料)层中夹有铝而构成。包装件被热密封并且检查层压箔片中导槽的数量。在生产的411个包装件中,354个具有导槽(86.13%)。
实验反复进行,只是填充好的包装件通过歧管,歧管的一端具有孔洞,另一端连接在以4cfm运行的真空设备上。包装件通过相同方式通往热密封工段,密封并且同上述方式一样检查导槽数量。1084个包装件被检验,0个包装件包含有导槽(0.00%)。
Claims (13)
1.一种从眼用镜片包装件的密封部分中移除包装液体的设备,包括,
施加真空的装置,
装配在眼用镜片生产线上的支撑物,
连接在所述支撑物上的组件,
其中所述组件包括第一表面和第二表面,
其中所述第一表面包括至少一个第一孔,其穿过所述组件延伸至位于所述第二表面上的至少一个第二孔,
其中所述至少一个第一孔可去除地与所述施加真空的装置连接,
其中所述生产线包括至少一个包含密封部分的眼用镜片包装件和用于移动所述眼用镜片包装件通过所述生产线的装置,
其中当所述眼用镜片包装件通过所述生产线时,所述眼用镜片包装件的所述密封部分在所述第二表面的一个区域下方不超过大约2mm处。
2.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述第二表面的所述区域环绕所述至少一个第二孔。
3.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述密封部分包括提升的密封环。
4.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中当所述眼用镜片包装件通过所述生产线时,所述眼用镜片包装件的所述密封部分与所述第二表面的所述区域接触。
5.根据权利要求4所述的设备,其中所述眼用镜片包装件的所述密封部分包括提升的密封环。
6.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述组件进一步包括第三表面和第四表面,其中所述组件在所述第三表面和所述第四表面上枢轴连接于所述支撑物。
7.根据权利要求1所述的设备,包括至少三个第一孔。
8.根据权利要求1所述的设备,包括至少二十个第二孔。
9.根据权利要求4所述的设备,包括至少三个第一孔。
10.根据权利要求4所述的设备,包括至少二十个第二孔。
11.根据权利要求8所述的设备,其中每个所述第一孔的直径为大约5mm。
12.根据权利要求9所述的设备,其中每个所述第二孔的直径为大约1mm。
13.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述组件由铝制备。
