背景技术
在播放存储在光盘上的视听内容的系统中，诸如家庭娱乐系统，偶尔需要更新补充存储在光盘上的内容的内容。在BD-ROM视听应用格式规范中可以找到这种需要的例子，其中在正片电影之前可以提供“精彩预告(incoming attractions)”部分。当购买BD-ROM盘的时候，该盘上的所有内容都是静态的，并且因而不是可更新的。因此，“精彩预告”部分可能反映在顾客购买或租借该盘之前已经发布的电影。在一些情况下，观看者已经看过与“精彩预告”电影预告片(movie tailer)相关的影片。这使得光盘的“精彩预告”部分基本没用。

图1是依照本发明实施例的用于同步的视听内容的呈现和下载的系统。在图1中，内容下载和重放设备100是娱乐设备，其通过视频显示器110和音响系统115向用户呈现视听信息。重放设备100包括盘存储器(disc storage)120，其是类似于传统DVD的光存储介质。但是，在本发明的上下文中，盘存储器120设计为对405nm(蓝光)激光器响应，其提供比传统DVD更高密度的存储。因而，与传统DVD记录和重放系统所提供的标准清晰度视频相比，盘存储器120可以支持更高清晰度的视频。

将该多个较小剪辑的元数据信息传送到内容下载和重放设备中的本地存储器，其中所述元数据信息包括播放列表信息、播放项目信息以及多个较小剪辑的剪辑信息文件，所述元数据信息在本地存储器中被组织成与来自光盘的播放列表信息、播放项目信息和剪辑信息文件的元数据信息的结构相等同的结构；和
所述内容下载和重放设备中的重放控制引擎访问该多个较小剪辑中的至少一个，同时该多个较小剪辑中的至少一个正被下载到内容下载和重放设备中，其中正被下载的该多个较小剪辑中的所述至少一个以及正被访问的该多个较小剪辑中的所述至少一个在呈现给重放控制引擎的虚拟视图中表现为同样的文件类型。

从网站下载包括视听内容的剪辑，该剪辑被分段为多个较小剪辑；
在本地存储器中存储该多个较小剪辑的元数据信息，其中所述元数据信息包括播放列表信息、播放项目信息和所有所述较小剪辑文件的剪辑信息文件；
启动对该多个较小剪辑的重放；
显示该多个较小剪辑中的第一剪辑的内容，同时下载该多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑，其中正被显示的该多个较小剪辑中的第一剪辑以及正被下载的该多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑在呈现给重放控制引擎的虚拟视图中表现为同样的文件类型。
9.权利要求8所述的方法，另外包括所述重放控制引擎接收命令以重放该多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑。
10.权利要求9所述的方法，另外包括重放控制引擎信号通知应用，多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑不可访问。
11.权利要求10中所述的方法，另外包括：
所述应用从所述网站请求所述多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑。
12.一种用于同步视听内容的呈现和下载的系统，包括：
应用，联系网站，并且识别和下载多个较小剪辑，以及与该多个较小剪辑中的每个剪辑相关联的元数据信息；以及
本地存储器，存储对应于所述多个较小剪辑的元数据信息，本地存储器由重放控制引擎访问，其中所述元数据信息包括播放列表信息、播放项目信息以及多个较小剪辑的剪辑信息文件，所述元数据信息在本地存储器中被组织成与来自光盘的播放列表信息、播放项目信息和剪辑信息文件的元数据信息的结构相等同的结构，
多个较小剪辑中的第一剪辑已经从网站下载，并且其中
多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑还没有从网站下载，和
内容下载和重放设备中的重放控制引擎利用所述元数据信息访问所述多个较小剪辑中的所述第一剪辑，其中已经下载的该多个较小剪辑中的第一剪辑以及还没有下载的该多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑在呈现给重放控制引擎的虚拟视图中表现为同样的文件类型。
13.权利要求12所述的系统，其中在接收到来自重放控制引擎的表明所述多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑不能访问的信号时，所述应用启动对该多个较小剪辑中的第二剪辑的下载。
14.权利要求12所述的系统，其中所述元数据信息所包括的播放列表信息包括至少一个播放列表，所述元数据信息所包括的播放项目信息包括多个播放项目，其中每个播放项目对应于所述多个较小剪辑中的一个。
15.权利要求14所述的系统，其中存储管理器向重放控制引擎呈现所述虚拟视图，其中该虚拟视图包括在光盘存储媒介上存储的内容、以及在用于同步视听内容的呈现和下载的系统中的本地存储器中存储的内容。
16.权利要求12所述的系统，其中存储管理器对重放控制引擎给出对应于所述多个较小剪辑中所有剪辑的元数据信息。
17.在内容下载和重放系统中用于同步内容下载和重放的一种方法，包括：
用户插入包括视听内容文件、播放列表文件和剪辑信息文件的光盘；
应用启动视听剪辑从网站的下载，该视听剪辑被分段为至少第一和第二较小视听剪辑；
向内容下载和重放系统的重放控制引擎呈现虚拟视图，其中所述虚拟视图包括来自光盘的内容文件、播放列表文件、和剪辑信息文件，以及至少第一和第二较小剪辑的元数据文件集，其中所述元数据文件集包括播放列表信息、播放项目信息和所述至少第一和第二较小剪辑的剪辑信息文件；
其中所述至少第一和第二较小剪辑的元数据文件集在本地存储器中被组织成与来自光盘的播放列表文件、播放项目信息和剪辑信息文件被组织的结构相等同的结构；
其中下载的视听剪辑的文件类型与来自光盘的视听剪辑的文件类型相同；以及
当所述第二较小视听剪辑从网站下载的时候，内容下载和重放系统向用户播放所述第一较小视听剪辑，其中正被播放的所述第一较小视听剪辑以及正被下载的所述第二较小视听剪辑在呈现给重放控制引擎的虚拟视图中表现为同样的文件类型。
18.权利要求17所述的方法，另外包括在可通过内容下载和重放系统的重放控制引擎访问的本地存储器中存储元数据信息，该元数据信息对应于所述第一和第二较小视听剪辑。
19.权利要求17所述的方法，另外包括：
从应用接收重放第二较小视听剪辑的命令；以及
向应用指示该第二较小视听剪辑还没有被下载。
20.一种呈现视听内容的娱乐系统，包括
用于播放来自光盘的视听内容的装置；
用于从网站下载视听内容文件的装置，视听内容文件被分段为至少第一和第二视听剪辑；
用于下载对应于该至少第一和第二视听剪辑的元数据信息的装置；
用于当下载第二视听剪辑的时候给用户呈现第一视听剪辑的装置，其中正被呈现的所述第一视听剪辑以及正被下载的所述第二视听剪辑在呈现给重放控制引擎的虚拟视图中表现为同样的文件类型。
21.权利要求20所述的娱乐系统，其中所述用于播放来自光盘的视听内容的装置包括至少一个在大约405nm操作的激光器。
22.权利要求20所述的娱乐系统，另外包括向用于播放来自光盘的视听内容的装置呈现对应于第一和第二视听剪辑的元数据信息的装置。
23.权利要求20所述的娱乐系统，另外包括即使第一视听剪辑还没有完全下载也下载第二视听剪辑的装置。
24.权利要求20所述的娱乐系统，另外包括用于向用户指示所述第一和第二视听剪辑中的至少一个在下载过程中的装置。
