另一方面,本发明涉及用于体内实时检查上皮组织以检测异常的改进方法,所述异常可以是癌性的或者可以最终发展为侵袭癌。
背景技术
耽搁至少两个月才获得癌症会诊的患者,其所面临的死亡相对危险显著高于耽搁较短时间的患者。因此,如果患者较经常地接受有效的癌症筛查,那么癌症死亡风险率将得以降低。因此,需要一种用于检测异常粘膜组织的简便快速的筛查试验,所述异常粘膜组织可能具有肿瘤表型,该表型可能指示侵袭癌的存在或者最终发展。

简而言之,本发明用于筛查上皮组织以检测可能的异常组织,其包括用预选波长的光照射上皮组织的总解剖学区域(gross anatomical area),并通过滤光镜观察被照射的总组织区域,所述预选波长的光选择性地帮助使所述总区域上的异常组织部位可视化,所述滤光镜仅透射所述预选波长的光,同时基本上阻断具有除所述预选波长以外的波长的环境光的传播,因此加强了普通环境光存在时任何异常组织部位的选择性可视化。
具体实施方式
提供以下实施例以使本领域技术员能够理解和实施本发明,并确定本发明目前优选的实施方式。提供这些实施例是为说明目的,而不是用以表示本发明的范围,本发明的范围仅由所附权利要求限定。
实施例1
对口腔进行常规目测检查,注意附着龈、口腔粘膜、牙床、硬腭和软腭以及舌的背部、侧部和腹部上的任何病变的存在。记录通过所述常规检查所注意到的任何病变。
在完成实施例1的所述常规检查以后,让患者用1%的醋酸溶液冲洗口腔至多1分钟,然后吐出。
通过使柔性外囊弯曲,使脆性的内瓶破碎,从而激活Lonky的美国专利5,329,938所述的、可以以VIZILITE为注册商标而商购获得的化学发光光源。然后摇动所述外囊,并将其插入牵引器中。所提供的光在约450nm和550nm具有谱峰并在约600nm的红区具有较小的峰,如图1所示。这些谱峰形成白蓝色的光。

Claims (1)

1.一种筛查上皮组织以检测可能的异常组织部位的方法,该方法包括:
(a)用预选波长的光照射上皮组织的总解剖学区域,所述预选波长的光选择性地帮助使所述总区域上的异常组织部位可视化;和
(b)通过滤光镜观察所述总区域,所述滤光镜传播所述预选波长的光,同时基本上阻断具有除所述预选波长以外的波长的光的传播,从而加强普通环境光存在时任何所述异常组织部位的可视化。
