技术领域
本发明涉及具有光焦度梯度的镜片,尤其是涉及具存在光学坯件上形成多个叠套的同心球面部分之预型件的镜片。
背景技术
术语镜片包括半成品透镜坯料、单焦点或多焦点透镜、还包括大量的公知透镜设计的制成透镜。诸如渐增类透镜的镜片最好为双焦点镜片,因为渐增类镜片提供一个方式,按照这种方式增加的光焦度连续变化而只增加较少的象散,因而由过渡区所成的象的质量仍然可以接受。此外,渐增镜片的前表面保持连续而且平滑,使得过渡区保持基本上不可见。这种从一个弧矢曲率半径到另一较小半径的连续过渡不可避免地导致弧矢与子午曲率半径之间的差别,这一差别表现为不希望的象散。为了获得满意的逐渐增加的光学设计,重要的是使沿中心子午线的不需要的象散为最小,所述中心子午线连接主点与增加的光焦度区中心。此前,这一已经分析研究过问题并且采用有限元分析。提出过采用一个或多个脐带线的渐变设计。把样板以及圆锥截面用于仿造表面几何形状。现行的渐增镜片设计包含选择设计方法的固有缺陷,使不希望有的象散保持在小于0.25D的狭窄渐增通道,镜片周边出现不希望有的减小视场的象散、存在折射误差等。
此前曾采用折射率梯度,以便形成球面光焦度的过渡。例如,Guilino(美国专利4,240,719、5,148,205和5,042,936)公开了以仅适用于无机玻璃的方法形成连续的折射率梯度(n=f{z}),用以构成连续渐增的表面,其中通过注入离子或将镜片置于溶液中引入所述梯度,所述溶液能够把重离子扩散到镜片材料中。Guilino证明通过引入控制弧矢方向折射率变化的附加功能,在改变弧矢曲率半径的变化率时能够减小子午和弧矢曲率半径之间的差异。然而,并没有消除不希望有的象散,而且折射误差按较小的视场角值增加,因为折射率梯度的设计以及实现折射率梯度的方法产生恒定折射率的平面(即n(z)=f(z)),以便获得关于弧矢深度具有连续一阶和二阶导数的连续表面。
发明内容
本发明提供一种渐增特性的多焦点镜片,它基本上消除了不希望有的象散。渐增镜片有一个带基础球面光焦度的光学预型件、一个中间树脂层和一个上层树脂层。光学预型件的渐增光焦度区域具有一系列叠套的基本上同心的球面部分,所述球面部分形成于光学预型件表面并有逐渐变化的后部半径。具有球面部分的光学预型件表面区域涂有薄的连续的聚合树脂中间层。中间层树脂的折射率大于光学预型件材料的折射率,不超过大约0.05单位。邻近中间层加有上层,用以恢复镜片的曲面。上层具有所需的折射率,以使最终的表面与制成镜片的视远光焦度区域连续,并有与之相同的曲率半径。

具体实施方式
如图1和2所示,本发明的镜片10包括光学预型件30上形成的一系列球面部分20,其中所述球面部分20具有渐变的曲率半径。球面部分20被薄的中间树脂层40覆盖。然后将上层树脂层60加到中间树脂层40上,形成另一球面部分50,每个另一球面部分50由球面部分20和上层树脂层60的外表面的相应部分限定。每个另一球面部分50的折射率大于光学预型件30的折射率。通常期望该结构关于镜片的球面光焦度提供阶式梯度,而且期望呈现一系列类以于融合的三焦点透镜的线。然而,在本发明中,通过改变各另一球面部分50曲率半径的渐变、用于涂敷渐增光焦度区域的中间树脂层40和上层树脂层60的折射率,使渐增光焦度区域的球面光焦度变化得到控制。通过以中间树脂层40涂敷整个形成的表面,使球面光焦度的过渡连续,并使相邻球面部分20之间的边界被掩盖,所述中间树脂层40的折射率最多比光学预型件30的折射率大大约0.05单位。这样,在光学预型件30和上层树脂层60之间形成折射率梯度。沿着设计的曲线选择球面部分20的曲率中心,使图象相对于通过主点所成的象位置的象移最小。
球面部分50在镜片的基本光焦度和增加的光焦度之间提供平滑的过渡区。为了得到最好的结果,每个另一球面部分50改变邻近另一球面部分50的球面光焦度大约0.03D至0.05D,虽然每个梯度直到大约0.06D也可以接受。由于在中间树脂层40和上层树脂层60之间存在折射率梯度,制得的镜片10的球面光焦度分布呈平滑上升函数,不显示球面光焦度的继续跳跃。如果大约为3.00D的整个增加光焦度拟包含在12mm的通道内,那么每个球面部分的宽度应该为大约0.12-0.20mm。对于0.03D梯度的弧矢高度差总共为大约5微米,所述0.03D梯度由0.12mm宽的邻近球面部分表示。对于3.00D的增加光焦度,上层树脂层60的模腔的最大深度大约为500微米。模腔的深度依赖于中间树脂层40的折射率、光学预型件30的折射率、需要提供的增加光焦度以及通道长度,和增加光焦度区域的尺寸,所述通道长度由提供球面光焦度过渡区的光学设计所指定。
球面部分20的表面涂敷中间树脂层40,中间树脂层40的折射率比光学预型件30的材料折射率大约高0.03至0.05个单位。中间树脂层40的厚度将大约为1-2微米。中间树脂层40部分聚合以便在球面部分20的边界上产生连续的涂层。中间树脂层40还与上层树脂层60形成折射率梯度,这样使得两层之间的界面基本上看不到。聚合上层树脂层60,使制成的镜片10的前表面形成所需的机械的、光学的及热性能。
本发明的方法可用于形成从大约10.0mm至15.0mm的过渡区,在直径处增加光焦度区域的顶点可超过25mm。在一种方法中,过渡区是球对称的,即过渡区的长度在所有子午面上都一样。在第二种方法中,在透镜的周边过渡区长度或形状可以改变,而且可以使得鼻侧比较短。因为过渡区变短,中间光焦度的象强度变弱。然而,将会提供比传统设计好的象分辨率,因为既使有所不希望的象散,也会很小。
可以通过许多公知技术形成光学预型件30上的球面部分20,例如机械加工光学预型件、或者使用具有需要的表面轮廓的模具模铸光学预型件。也可以用各种技术将球面部分20刻蚀在表面上,包括借助化学(例如激光)或等离子体的刻蚀方法。
如果镜片是完成的(球面、非球面或复曲面)单焦点透镜,则可使折射率梯度形成于镜片两个表面的任何一个上。或者,镜片可以是半成品坯料,则梯度折射率可以形成在坯料的前表面上。在这种情况下,后表面可以磨成指定形状,有如对传统的渐增透镜所作的那样。或者,有如下述那样,后表面可以磨成所希望的球面修正,并使用具有匹配的基本曲率和指定的复曲面曲率的模具铸上复曲面。
按照一种最佳的实施例,上层树脂层60被用作附着在模具70上的附着膜,如图3所示。模具70可以是能重复使用的或一次性的。上层树脂层60部分聚合而且包括单官能团成分,以便形成非交联凝胶,该非交联凝胶具有在大约20-65℃范围内的玻璃化转变温度,最好是在大约40-50℃范围内。把附加的聚合成分扩散到树脂层中,以进一步聚合并交联树脂层,同时把玻璃化转变温度提高到高于75℃,而且把折射率变为最终的指定值,并使前表面抗刻划。可以通过热、光或两者启动第二聚合过程。附加聚合组分可以是双五(dipentaerethrytol)五丙烯酸酯或许多适宜聚合的成分中的任何一种,例如双-或三-官能团的异丁烯酸酯或丙烯酸酯。
在另一最佳实施例中,可以大批量制造和储备具有折射率梯度的球面半成品坯料或单焦点透镜,在包括沿任何子午面方向的前(凸)表面上形成的折射率梯度。这些镜片包括球面与附加光焦度的任何可能组合,所述附加光焦度是提供需要视力校正如287skus(备料保存单元),人口的基本视力部分所需要的,从而覆盖+4.00D至-4.00D范围的球面光焦度,和1.00D至3.00D范围的增加光焦度。通过改变这些镜片的前(凸)曲面同时保持后(凹)曲面固定在宽的球面光焦度范围内,改变球面光焦度。例如,可以通过使用三个后(凹)曲面覆盖+4.00D至-4.00D范围。再把所要的复曲面光焦度铸在前表面上,小心根据要求设置复曲面的轴,制成满足要求的镜片。通过把复曲面模具的凸面向下放在镜片的凹表面上铸造复曲面光焦度。选择该模具,使它的基本曲率与镜片的后面曲率匹配。在把可聚合树脂组分浇注在模具与镜片之间的空间内之前,把模具的复曲面轴设置为希望要求的特定角。随后聚合该树脂,以便在镜片的凹面上形成所要的复曲面。
也可以使用折射率梯度形成基本上不可见的双焦点或三焦点透镜,其中可以看到线段,但是描绘增加光焦度区的径向线基本上看不到。如图4所示,机械加工单焦点透镜或半成品坯料80,形成制造增加光焦度区所需要的模腔90。用薄的(大约2-3微米)中间树脂层100涂敷模腔90,所述中间树脂层100的折射率比半成品坯料80的折射率大大约0.03至0.05个单位。然后所述薄的中间树脂层100就地聚合。中间树脂层100在模腔90的边缘形成连续涂层。把上层树脂层110铸在聚合的中间树脂层100上,恢复镜片120的前表面并形成增加的光焦度区。可以使中间树脂层100部分聚合,以便与上层树脂层110形成折射率梯度。
通过下面的例子描述在镜片中形成梯度折射率。
例提供一个由二甘醇双烯丙基碳酸酯(CR-39TM)制成的球面透镜,光学直径为76mm,凹面曲率半径为4.10mm,凸面曲率半径为6.10mm,边缘厚度为0.70mm,没有复曲面光焦度,而且测定光学中心的球面光焦度为2.03D。把该透镜固定在台上并机械加工前(凸)表面,以制成一系列球面部分150,每个部分的宽度大约为90微米。第一球面部分的曲率为5.94D,最后一个球面部分的曲率为-2.00D。最后一个球面部分的子午长度为25mm。两个相邻球面部分之间的曲率变化为0.055D。然后把该透镜固定在超声波喷涂室中的夹具上,所述超声波喷涂室已经彻底用干燥氮气冲洗。为了形成中间树脂层,该透镜经过超声波产生的光聚合单体树脂喷涂。该液态树脂的折射率在聚合之前为1.51,在聚合之后为1.54。精心控制液滴的大小,约为1.0微米。所加涂层的厚度约为2微米。中间树脂层经过360nm至380nm范围的紫外辐射并部分聚合大约2秒钟。
再使经涂层的透镜与凸面曲率等于6.00D的玻璃模具结合。该模具可以透射350nm至400nm波长范围的紫外辐射。把聚合之前折射率为1.58的光聚合树脂单体组分注入透镜与模具之间的空间。所述树脂组分聚合,形成折射率为1.60的固化树脂上层。所述模具装置放置在光固化室中,并经360nm至400nm波长范围的紫外辐射。一旦上层树脂层聚合结束,就把模具从所述室中取出并脱模。所得透镜是渐增透镜,基础光焦度为2.03D,增加的光焦度等于2.00D,增加光焦度区的直径为25mm,通道长度为13.5mm。
中间树脂层的组分包括:65%w/v二乙基乙二醇双烯丙基碳酸酯、12%w/v烷氧基化脂肪族二丙烯酸酯、12%w/v糠基丙烯酸酯、9%w/v乙氧基化双酚A二丙烯酸酯、和2%w/v光敏引发剂。上层树脂层的组分包括:51%w/v乙氧基化双酚A二丙烯酸酯、20%w/v苯乙烯、12%w/v烷氧基化脂肪族二丙烯酸酯、15%w/v烷氧基化丙烷三丙烯酸酯、和2%w/v光敏引发剂。

25.一种镜片,包括:
一光学预型件,其具有第一折射率以及在一个表面上有多个叠套的球面部分,所述球面部分的曲率中心沿着设计的曲线定位,使象移最小,多个所述球面部分的每一个具有逐渐变化的半径;以及
至少一个覆盖所述光学预型件表面的聚合物层,该聚合物层的折射率大于该光学预型件的折射率。
