Abstract

Un sistema para generar y actualizar un mapa electrónico de caminos recorridos por vehículos en un área geográfica, que comprende: una pluralidad de vehículos situados en el área geográfica, dotados de un rastreador de posición y un sistema de comunicaciones del vehículo para transmitir una serie de informes cronológicos de las posiciones con respecto al vehículo; una red de comunicación de datos en comunicación de datos con cada sistema de comunicación de vehículos; un montaje de generación de mapas (MGM) que incluye un montaje de procesamiento y un montaje de memoria electrónica, estando el MGM en comunicación de datos con la red de comunicación de datos y dispuesto para recibir los informes de las posiciones, con el MGM estando configurado para: generar lotes de puntos a partir de los informes de las posiciones, los puntos que corresponden a las posiciones del vehículo para los respectivos vehículos en los tiempos respectivos, en el montaje de memoria electrónica; hacer funcionar el montaje de procesamiento para realizar comparaciones lote por lote de los puntos de un lote con las posiciones de los agrupamientos del mapa; basado en las comparaciones, hacer funcionar el montaje de procesamiento para actualizar el mapa mediante un procedimiento de actualización de agrupamientos.
