Abstract
LA PRESENTE INVENCIÓN SE REFIERE A UN BIORREACTOR Y A UN PROCESO PARA PRODUCIR PRODUCTOS DE FERMENTACIÓN DE GAS, LOS CUALES SON PARTICULARMENTE APROPIADOS PARA PRODUCIR HIDROXIALCANOATOS (PHAS) MICROBIANOS USANDO UNA MATERIA PRIMA DE ALIMENTACIÓN GASEOSA CONTENIENDO CO2. EL PROCESO COMPRENDE LOS SIGUIENTES PASOS: A) PROPORCIONAR, POR LO MENOS, UN RECIPIENTE DE FERMENTACIÓN DE GAS (2) PARCIALMENTE LLENADO CON UN CALDO DE FERMENTACIÓN LÍQUIDO (11) Y PARCIALMENTE LLENADO CON UNA FASE GASEOSA (15); B) CONTINUAMENTE RETIRAR UNA ALÍCUOTA DEL CALDO DE FERMENTACIÓN LÍQUIDO (11) DEL RECIPIENTE DE FERMENTACIÓN DE GAS (2); C) PROPORCIONAR UN SUSTRATO GASEOSO (14) COMPRENDIENDO CO2, H2 Y O2; D) CONTACTAR EL CALDO DE FERMENTACIÓN LÍQUIDO (11) EN LA FORMA DE GOTITAS PULVERIZADAS CON EL SUSTRATO GASEOSO (14) EN LA FASE GASEOSA (15); E) CULTIVAR LOS MICROORGANISMOS DE FERMENTACIÓN DE GAS CON LA MEZCLA DE GAS-LÍQUIDO OBTENIDA EN EL PASO D PARA FORMAR UNA MASA CELULAR CONTENIENDO, POR LO MENOS, UN POLIHIDROXIALCANOATO; F) RECUPERAR, POR LO MENOS, UN POLIHIDROXIALCANOATO A PARTIR DE LA MASA CELULAR.
