Abstract

ESTA INVENCIÓN ESTÁ RELACIONADA, EN GENERAL, CON EL CAMPO DE LA TECNOLOGÍA DE ENVASADO DE PRODUCTOS VEGETALES, COMO FRUTAS Y HORTALIZAS FRESCAS ENTERAS QUE SUELEN TENER CIERTA CARGA MICROBIANA SUPERFICIAL. CONCRETAMENTE, ESTA INVENCIÓN SE REFIERE A UN NUEVO ENVASE DE CARTÓN QUE SE CARACTERIZA POR TENER UN RECUBRIMIENTO ACTIVO ANTIMICROBIANO, A BASE DE UN COMPUESTO POLIMÉRICO EN COMBINACIÓN CON ACEITES ESENCIALES QUE FORMAN COMPLEJOS DE INCLUSIÓN CON CICLODEXTRINAS. LOS VAPORES DE LOS ACEITES ESENCIALES SE DESPRENDEN DEL CARTÓN A MEDIDA QUE SE ALCANZAN HUMEDADES RELATIVAS SUFICIENTEMENTE ELEVADAS EN LAS INMEDIACIONES DE ESTE RECUBRIMIENTO QUE ESTÁ JUNTO AL PRODUCTO ENVASADO, Y ESTOS VAPORES TIENEN UNA ACCIÓN ANTIMICROBIANA FRENTE A HONGOS, LEVADURAS Y BACTERIAS, TANTO ALTERANTES DE LA CALIDAD DEL PRODUCTO COMO PATÓGENOS PARA LOS CONSUMIDORES.
