Abstract

Un elemento de protección de pared lateral 1 con forma de escudo para un neumático de vehículo 3 que comprende una base radialmente interna 6, con un borde externo 11 que forma el extremo radialmente externo 2 y que se extiende en una dirección circunferencial U, y con un segmento de escudo 5 que se extiende desde dicho borde externo 11 hasta al menos dicha base 6, en donde dicho borde externo 11 se encuentra al menos parcialmente descentrado axialmente hacia adentro desde dicha base 6, que se caracteriza porque dicha base 6 comprende un elemento de fijación 7 para fijar dicho elemento de protección de pared lateral 1 a un soporte 44, y donde se provee una zona de deformación 9 entre dicho elemento de fijación 7 y dicho borde externo 11 y se extiende desde un extremo 34a en la dirección circunferencial U que está en la parte frontal hacia el extremo posterior 34b que se dispone en la dirección opuesta a dicha dirección circunferencial U, y exhibe un aumento en la capacidad de deformación en comparación con dicho elemento remanente de protección de pared lateral 1.
