Device for the extermination of hay, rats, hamsters and the like. (i're, renstaiid of the present invention t'zn is a device for exterminating mice, rats, hamsters and other burrowing animals by means of intensifying gases.
According to the invention, the device has two interconnected cylinders, one of which has a piston for pumping air into the other cylinder, while the latter for receiving one after ignition Stick gas is intended to develop a cartridge and is provided with a pipe for introducing vein gases into the underground transport routes and structures of the animals to be destroyed.
An exemplary embodiment of the device is illustrated in the accompanying drawing in vertical line.
Two cylinders <B> b </B> and c 'are fastened next to one another on a base plate a. A piston d is arranged in the cylinder b, the rod e of which carries a handle j outside the cylinder. The lower part of the <B> cylinder </B> cylinder <B> b </B> is connected to the upper part of cylinder c by an air duct <B> g </B>.
The cylinder <B> b </B> with the piston <B> (1 </B> represents a pump: which is designed to pump air through an opening h into the cylinder <B> b < / B> enters the cylinder C. A valve (not shown) built into the pipe <B> g </B> prevents gases from escaping the cylinder during the suction stroke of the piston <B> d </B> c are sucked over into the cylinder <B> b </B>.
An airtight, self-contained cover i, with which a sieve <B> k </B> is firmly connected, is placed on the cylinder c. An elongated sieve <B> 1 </B> is attached above the bottom of the cylinder so that it can be removed. Below the sieve <B> 1 </B> an angled tube M rotatable is inserted into the cylinder wall. A handle n is used to facilitate the transport of the device.
The use of the device described is as follows: From the cylinder c, the lid i is removed and a suffocating gases. - # A, rolling cartridge <B> '</B> pushed so far into the cylinder that it sits on the sieve <B> 1 </B>. Then the cartridge is ignited and the cylinder is closed again with the lid.
The piston <B> d </B> is now activated and air is pressed into the cylinder <B> c </B> in order to supply the cartridge with the oxygen required for combustion. In the beginning of the burning of the Pittrone, the tube assumes the position shown in which its monkey-curved end is directed upwards.
However, as soon as the cartridge develops the suffocating crash, the tube is turned in such a way that its free end can be inserted into the freely open hunches of an underground traffic channel for the animals that eat away, for example into a mouse hole.
<B> 2 </B> 'Ki -in is once again pressed air into the cylinder with # three to four powerful piston strokes <B>, </B> and thus the asphyxiating gases are forced into the traffic channel leads where he is in this
as well as arias branch] # anael. In doing so, M.an has to pay attention to it, (do not let the impulse gases escape through other holes on the outside. Such holes are closed through. Entry closed. Since the developed, asphyxiating gases are heavier than air, they flow , also through channels that extend deep into the ground.
If the above-mentioned holes have been closed by being kicked shut, another two or three powerful strokes of the piston are made and then the hole into which the tube is inserted is also closed. After about two minutes, if this hole belongs to a crang system that extends in all directions, all burrowing animals within a radius of about 2 meters in diameter around the carrion are killed.
The cylinders could also be arranged separately next to one another so that the cylinder b on the cylinder c can be removed e.g. B. is attached by means of a bayonet lock.
