Pile for foundations. The object of the invention is a pile for foundations.
It comprises several tubes arranged concentrically one inside the other so as to be able to move with respect to one another, in the same way as the tubes of a telescope. In the central tube can slide a plug with a conical point which is crossed, as well as this tube, in the direction of its length, by a rod also crossing the ram which acts on the tubes and serving as a guide in its course, this rod allowing the removal of the components it passes through, from the stake, when the latter is fully inserted.
The appended drawing represents, by way of e xamples, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of a first embodiment; Fig. 2 is a partial section; Fig. 3 is a detail view; Figs. 4 and 5 are longitudinal sections of the second embodiment. In the embodiment, the stake represented by figs. 1 and 2 comprises two concentric tubes 1 and 2. The outer tube 2 is provided, at its upper end, with an outer ring 3 and, at its lower end, with an inner ring 5. The inner tube 1 carries, at its upper end, an outer ring 4.
The tube 1 is arranged to be able to move axially in the tube 2, the rings 4 and 5 then serving as guides. On the upper end of the two tubes 1 and 2 is disposed a removable ring 6 formed of two parts 6 'and 6 "which are interconnected by pins passing through holes 18 drilled in the ears of each of these parts ( Fig. 3) The ring 6 acts on both the end of tube 1 and the end of tube 2.
The tube 1 is closed, at its lower end, by a plug 8 with a conical point which can slide inside the tube and has a groove 9 which is intended to receive the materials, for example earth, which could pass. between the tube 1 and the plug 8. These materials would risk causing jamming which would subsequently make it difficult to remove the plug 8. This plug 8 is crossed by a rod 10 disposed axially in the tube 1 and carrying, at its end lower, a small head stronger than the lower end of the plug 8.
This rod 10 also passes through the head piece 11 on which the sheep 7 acts, as well as the sheep itself and serves as a guiding member for the latter during its movement. The head piece 11 has a projecting circular part which rests on the ring 6 and the outside diameter of which is such that it can pass inside the tube 2. The head piece 11 and the stopper 8 are connected by a wooden piece 13 which is also traversed by the rod 10. The driving of this stake is done as follows The impact of the ram 7 causes the simultaneous driving of the tubes 1 and 2 and of the stopper 8. This simultaneous depression of tubes 1 and 2 takes place until the ring 6 is removed. The latter is generally removed when the head of the tube 2 has reached ground level.
The part 12 of the part 11 then comes to rest on the tube 1 so that under the action of the slack tone, this tube will descend on its own, but the tube 2 remains in place in the ground and serves as a guide.
When the driving of the pile is completely finished, the rod 10 makes it possible to withdraw from the inner tube all the members which it passes through, that is to say the plug 8, the part 13 and the part 12.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, tubes 1 and 2 constituting the pile, are arranged in the same way as in the first embodiment. They are also provided with rings 3, 4 and 5 and on their upper parts is arranged a ring 6.
In the tube 1 is disposed a part with which the conical point stopper is integral, part having a groove 15 of the tines to receive the materials which could pass between the tube 1 and the part 14. The latter is traversed as well as a sheep. 16, by a guide rod 10. This sheep has, in its upper part, an annular projection 17 which comes into contact with the ring 6 and whose diameter is such that it can pass inside the tube 2 while resting then on the upper end of the tube 1.
In this embodiment, the ram 16 acts simultaneously on the ring 6 and on the part 14 for driving the two tubes 1 and 2. When the upper part of the tubes has reached ground level, the ring 6 is removed. so that the projection 17 then acts only on the end of the tube 1.
When the pile consists of a number of tubes greater than two. we say poses on the upper part of each of them a ring corresponding to the ring 6 shown in the drawing.
Instead of having a ring on the upper part of each tube, we could fix, for example to the upper part of the sheep, bases, each of which would act on a tube and which could be removed. successively. This embodiment is especially indicated when it is a question of piles comprising more than two tubes, because one then avoids the difficulties which may result from the need to remove the rings which have been driven in with the tubes, below. from ground level.
