Fig. 3 montre le tube après fonçage. Fig. 5 montre le pieu terminé.
Device to facilitate the execution of a concrete pile cast in the ground. During the implementation of the process which consists in molding a concrete pile in the ground by progressive tamping of the concrete of the pile, with progressive raising of a jacking or casing tube, and by making use of a mass jacking formed by ramming a load of concrete or the like introduced into the tube, the friction between If-, soil and the latter can become so great that the lifting of the tube presents great difficulty and requires considerable time.
The present invention relates to a device intended to facilitate the lifting of the tube during the application of the above method. To this end, use is made of a free sinking kit, on which the casing tube comes to rest freely, in such a way that said kit remains in the ground after removal of the tube. This kit has a larger outside diameter than the casing tube, does not reduce the free section of the latter, and has a sharp edge with a wedge-shaped section, the outer face of which has a greater taper than the inner face. .
This device is used as follows, for example: After placing the tube on the jacking kit, the load of concrete or similar material intended to form the jacking mass is introduced into the tube and this load is clamped, so that the concrete plug known per se is obtained, which adheres strongly to the inner wall of the tube, as well as to the inner face of the jacking kit. The tube is then darkened to the desired depth, in the manner known per se, by applying hammer blows to the driving mass, after which the concrete plug is expelled, which is obtained by knocking on said stopper while immobilizing or raising the tube.
The jacking kit remains attached to the concrete plug thus expelled and, consequently, remains in the ground. Thanks to this arrangement, the expulsion of the stopper and above all the subsequent progressive raising of the tube during the execution of the pile are notably facilitated, which is due to the fact that, thanks to the larger outside diameter of the driving kit , the layer of soil adjacent to the outer wall of the tube relaxes during the sinking of the latter,
and that said tube, after freeing itself from the sinking kit, only passes through this layer of loose soil during its recovery.
On the other hand, thanks to the fact that the free section of the tube is in no way reduced, the driving of this tube is not hindered, and is even facilitated, not only because the cutting edge with wedge-shaped section penetrates easily in the ground, but also because, thanks to the greater taper of the outer wall of said cutting edge, the soil is mainly driven outwards.
By way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention is described below with reference to the appended schematic drawing, in which: Fi, - ,. 1 is a sectional view of the sinking kit.
Fi *?, 3, 4 and 5 show various phases of the method of making a pile.
In fig. 1, the jacking tube 1, which is placed on the jacking kit 2, is indicated by dashed lines. The sinking kit has a sharp edge with a wedge-shaped section. The outer face 3 of the wedge-shaped part of the kit makes a greater angle with the vertical than the inner face 4 and, therefore, is larger than the latter.
Fig. 2 shows the position of the casing tube 1 containing the concrete plug â, immediately before the start of sinking.
Fig. 3 shows the tube after sinking. In the phase shown in fig. 4, the concrete plug and jacking kit are detached from the inner end of the tube, and concrete swimming from the pile shaft has started. Fig. 5 shows the completed stake.
