Um die Schutzvorrichtung nach dem elek tromagnetischen Abschalten von neuem in Betrieb zu setzen, ist es notwendig, den Deckel31 um das Gelenh 32 aufzuklappen, die durchgebrannte Sicherung herauszuneli- eD men und den Hilfssehalter 20 mittelst eines durch die, Öffnung33 zu steckenden Stiftes in die ezeielinete Sehlusslage zurüel#7,1,idrüli:- 9 hen, worauf das Eiii.;;
Protective device for electrical circuits against inadmissible heating. The known protective devices for clever electrical circuits against inadmissible heating are divided into two groups, namely so-called fuses and so-called temperature fuses. The fuses, which consist of a conductor through which the current flows, usually a metal wire, are melted by the Joule heat generated in the conductor itself by the current flowing through it.
In contrast, in the case of thermal fuses, a soldering point is primarily heated by direct thermal radiation from a winding through which current flows and is heated to a mass corresponding to the current strength in the circuit to be protected. in such a way that when a certain temperature level of the winding is exceeded, the soldering point is unsoldered, which leads to the interruption of the current in the circuit.
The fuses only provide protection against sudden very strong overloads and the occurrence of short circuits or the like, whereas the temperature fuses protect the circuit, for example a motor, against excessive heating by a longer but less severe overload.
The essence of the protective device for electrical circuits against inadmissible heat, which forms the subject of the invention, consists in the connection of a temperature fuse with a fuse in such a way that when the temperature fuse is activated, the current is increasingly passed through the fuse and thereby it is brought to melt.
The drawing illustrates several exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. These show: FIG. 1 a circuit diagram for lower currents, FIG. 29 an embodiment of the protective device -ung according to the scheme of Fig. 1 in longitudinal section, rii:
-. 3 and 4 the associated temperature protection in the idle state and after the response , Fig. 5 a view diagram, for higher currents, Fig. < B> 6 a protective device formed in the form of a plug according to the scheme of FIG. 5, in longitudinal section, FIG. 7 a cross section along the line A- -4 of Fig. 6, Fig. 8: the circuit diagram of a protection device especially intended for inductive loads,
FIG. 9 shows part of a fourth circuit diagram, and FIG. 10 shows an embodiment of the protective device according to the diagram in FIGS / B> which at the same time provides protection against strong t 'short-term overloads.
In the circuit diagram shown in FIG. 1, 1 is the winding to be protected or the winding of a heating coil connected in the circuit to be protected. 2 is the temperature fuse and 3 is the fusible link. The temperature fuse 2 is placed parallel to the fuse 3 and is formed by a soldering point on the easily fusible 'he case,
which only sets low resistance epteec to the current passage. infolue-. n el e # of this, almost all of the current flows through the soldering point in the idle state and a small part of the current flows through the floating fuse 3. so the latter is to a certain extent short-circuited by the soldering point.
The soldering point is to be spatially borrowed in the immediate vicinity of the Wiekluno 1 or even in it itself, so that it is heated by it and, if the temperature exceeds the permissible level, is unsoldered. Dadurcb. the partial current flowing over the solder joint is interrupted and the entire current flows through the reference 3, which now melts t # and switches off the current.
Since the voltage gradient on a fuse ring is 2 # 21, an arc cannot occur if the correct choice is made.
Fig. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment for the structural training, a protective device according to the scheme of FIG. 1. The device consists of a housing 5 with a removable cover 4 Porcelain or other insulating material. The core coil 1 is arranged in the liner of the housing and is an exchangeable, fusible seal 3 of a known type.
The temperature regulator is formed by a sleeve 6 , which is held exchangeably in the coil 1 and inside which a compression spring 7 </ B > standing bolt 8 in the in Fic. _) and 3 - # P7eichneten Laue because the soldering point 2 is attached.
The current conduction is, according to the Seliema according to Fig. 1 , such that the supply through the screw terminal 9 to the lower end of the coil 1 and from the upper end of this .Spule on the one hand by the.
Kontaktfedprn 10 and the Sieher- 3 for derivation (, slzlpmme 11 , on the other hand by the ring 122 and the Sleeve 6 over the soldering point 2 into the bolt 8 and from this via the lower contact spring 14 also to the terminal 11. The coil 1 is dimensioned in such a way (it heats up during the passage of the current in exact accordance with the Masehino to be protected., So that,
if a moderate increase in temperature occurs in the machine, "the soldering point 2 is brought to arousing by the #Vzirm (, d, # r coil 1 , which increases in the same way.
The bolt 8 then snaps through the action of the spring 7, as shown in FIG. 4. and thus comes out of contact with the contact spring 14 (FIG. 4), so that the secondary short circuit formed by the temperature fuse is interrupted, i.e. the short circuit of fuse 3 / B> is canceled. Now all the current flows through the fuse 3, #velehe melts through it and switches off the current.
To reuse the Vortriebtuil- the züi can. all you need to do is remove the dechel #I and replace both the plug 3 and the sleeve 6 with a new sleeve (shown in FIG. 3) to be replaced. The sleeve 6 has a conical shape in the upper end to make it easier to replace. Seated head 15 , which presses into ring 12 and thereby forms the contact.
In the example shown in FIG. 5 and intended for higher currents, the soldering point of the temperature fuse does not carry current. The floating fuse 3 is short-circuited here by a small Hilisselialter 20, which is usually in a switched state and is opened mechanically by the appropriate temperature fuse.
The temperature gauge again consists of an under-active, an unillustrated Fe of the "stretching bolts 8 which is soldered in a sleeve 6 and in it at 2.
If it gives way to the soldering point 2, the bolt 8 , by virtue of its spring loading, snaps against the switch 20 and turns it into the hold-open position. As a result, the short-circuit path parallel to fuse 3 is interrupted again, so that the current to be protected flows through. the fuse 3 is switched off.
The bolt 8 , which is under pedal action, can be attached with the sleeve 6 to a magnetic core arranged in the coil bu-v # "e-Iieli in such a way that
that with a strong current the whole core with the bolt 8 is raised electromagnetically against the auxiliary coil and causes this to switch off.
An embodiment of the protective device based on the last-mentioned # \ rt (i # 1) is in the form of a plug, for movable connection lines), is shown in Fig. 6 n # mirl 7 where 1 is the heating coil, ') the soldering point of the temperature fuse,
3 the fuse and 20 the auxiliary holder located parallel (1 to the latter. This switch consists of several circular, resilient lugs 21, which in the case of the in Fi (r . 6 shown switched-on position L- by the pair of kiiieliebelpaar 22 apart- #p.,
Lind praises thereby ge (Ten the contact springs 23 connected to the ends of the safety fuse 3 are pressed. The electrical current flows according to the scheme m # eh Firr. 5 from Piercer 50 via a connection, not shown, to one of the two connector springs '23, then partly through switch 20, 21, partly through the fuse 3 < / B> to the other contact spring 23, further via a connection to the coil 1, also not shown,
to finally leave the connector through the cable string 51 .
The device used to open the auxiliary holder 20, 21 consists of a magnet core 25 which is movably arranged in the coil 1 and which is usually operated by a weak spring 924 in the position shown in FIG. 6 drawn low position is kept. The upper end of the magnetic core 25 is designed as a thin pin 26 , which, with its EncI plate 27 , extends from below against the head 28 of an un- magnetic sleeve 29 .
The latter sees, under the action of the spring 30, which the sleeve tries to push up and is usually relieved by the soldering point 2. If the coil 1 er -, ## exceeds a certain temperature, the soldering point 92 and the released spring 30 </ B are sufficient > by means of the sleeve 29 presses the pair of toggle levers upwards.
As a result, you see the resilient arm 21 pull together inward and their contact with the T #, oiit-, uhtfede-rn 23 is canceled, so that the reference 3 </ B > Corrmt to melt through.
The setting shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 is effective not only when a certain temperature is exceeded but also when a sudden one occurs > un- permissible high current strength, in that the magnetic core 25 carrying the non-magnetic sleeve 29 is then moved into the coil by the electromagnetic action of the current] iiiieiii, -ezocen,
and thereby also the pair of toggle levers 21, 22 to open the auxiliary switch upwards by pressing. In this way, particularly when a short circuit occurs, the current is switched off quickly before a harmful warming can occur.
In order to put the protective device back into operation after the electromagnetic switch-off, it is necessary to open the cover 31 around the gelenh 32 , remove the blown fuse and remove it the auxiliary holder 20 by means of a pin to be inserted through the opening 33 back into the specific position # 7,1, usually: - 9, whereupon the egg. ;;

Disconnect the fuse, which makes it impossible to maintain the current again if the fuse has blown. When the solder joint 2 melts as a result of excessive heating, this part of the device must of course also be replaced.
The temperature fuse itself is only accessible after removing the visual protection. For the sake of protection, the entire device can also be surrounded L, t3 by a metal jacket 36 .
In Fig. 8, a protective device is shown, which is used in particular for inductive power consumers, for example for field wiel, lun'r, larger motors, and for similar cases / B> 2 is suitable where, when switching off as a result of the release of magnetic energies n Z, ZD, 'overvoltage', s and arcing can easily occur.
In doing so, a self-resistance equal to that through which a compensation of magnetic energies can take place is maintained. If this resistance, as usual. is permanently connected in parallel, it represents an unnecessary loss of energy. If a temperature booster is arranged with a Sehmelzsieberung it is possible to switch off the protective resistor for normal purposes.
When the temperature fuse responds, the protection% viclerst- # incl is parallel to the power consumer, for example the field effect to be protected liiii -,. "Ibgeseli, iltet, while at the same time the, rvt, # vöhnlieli parallel to the switch of the temperature regulator,
The lying safety fuse receives the full working current and is thereby caused to melt through and thus switches off the working current.
In Fig. 8, 1 is the. -, # yes, around the 2D11 C motor to be protected, in which the temperature protection is directly installed. -,) is the soldering point of the latter and 3 a seliiiie17- se, which is dimensioned in such a way that it melts through when the normal working current is passed through.
The fusible link lies parallel to the switch 20 of the thermal fuse, so that the main amount of current usually flows through the shunt circuit 52 closed by the switch '220 . 17 is a well-known type of visual protection between the two conductors of the circuit to be protected, but which is in a no-current condition for ye-n, -ölinlieli.
The switch 20 is designed as a changeover switch in such a way that it interrupts the shunt 52) when the temperature generator responds. on the other hand, the shuffling resistor 17 turns on parallel to the Magnetwiel.:lun- 1 to be protected.
For the switching movement of the switch '-) 0 a spring 7 is provided, which acts on a pull rod, 8 , which is linked to the Selialter, but usually remains ineffective because the The switch is held in place by the soldering pin 2 in the position shown in FIG. 8, with the aid of the rod 8 . 18,
18 are the main safety fuses connected upstream of the circuit to be protected, which cause the current to be switched off in the event of an unzulfissi, increase in current.
The way it works. This facility is as follows: In the normal state, most of the work routine flows via the bypass 52 and the switch 20 to the consumer 1 and from there back to the network . If the soldering point 2 is soldered on as a result of an impermissible increase in temperature in the consumer, the spring 7 adjusts the switch 20.
As a result, the secondary flow 52 is interrupted, so that the full working current flows through the fusible link 3 , where it becomes permanent melt and thus the working current peeled off. At the same time, however, the switch 20 switches the self-resistance 17 in parallel to the power consumer 1 ,
so that the currents indicated by the release of magnetic energies when the working current is switched off are destroyed by the resistance 17 . The device according to FIG. 8 also ensures a completely reliable shutdown of inductive loads.
If the resistance 17 is suitably dimensioned, the special fuse 3 located in the bypass to switch 20 of the temperature fuse and the shunt 52 could possibly also be dispensed with and their activity are taken over by the main fuses 18, 18 eD. In this case, the switch 20, designed as a simple on / off switch, of the temperature fuse controls exclusively the protective resistor 17, which is usually switched off again.
When the temperature fuse responds, its switch 20 switches the resistance 17 in parallel to the circuit to be protected. As a result, an additional operating current flows through the resistor 17, which naturally results in the normal strength of the current flowing through the fuses 18, 18 being exceeded, wdourch the fuses 18, 18 are brought to blow through so that they interrupt the operating current.
The induction currents occurring in the consumer 1 are destroyed like that by the protective resistor 17 .
The temperature fuses generally have a fairly long delay z3 or inertia, so that a certain time always elapses before they are triggered or respectively. The switching element is desoldered. As necessary or desirable as this leakage is for the normally occurring overloads, it often makes it necessary to provide normal fuses or self-operating high-current switches for relatively short and heavy overloads.
In order to increase the sensitivity of the temperature protection against sudden, short-term, strong overloads, the soldering point that flows again in this case can be appropriately sized or with an upstream auxiliary or Be connected to fused metal,
that if a certain amperage is briefly exceeded, the loosening point is heated to softening by the current flowing through it, or the wire connected in front of it is melted through and the temperature fuse is triggered. Fig. 9 schematically shows part of such an arrangement.
Here, 2 is the current-carrying soldering point, which is connected in parallel to the fuse, similar to the Sellaltscheme according to FIG. 1, and in which an upstream wire 19 is soldered Sudden overload caused by the passage of the current melts through and thereby eliminates the short circuit of the melting point.
FIG. 10 shows an example for the construction of such a fuse as it can be used in particular to protect electrical machines or apparatus and can be attached directly to them. The cartridge 39 with a screw thread 38 is screwed into the insulating plate 37 of a motor clamping width, which provides both the temperature fuse and the parallel one contains switched fuse, which in turn is formed from several parallel-connected wires 3 ge.
The switching pin 8 , which is under the action of the spring 7 and is soldered firmly at 2, is similar to that in FIG. 9 with a special fusible wire 19 upstream, so that the latter is connected in series with the temperature isolation and both are jointly parallel to the remaining fusible wires 3 . The. The lower end of the cartridge, which contains the soldering point 2, is surrounded by the heating coil 1 . The power supply respectively. -Discharge occurs through wires 42, 43 and terminals 40, 41.
The feed wire 19 to the Sellaltstift 8 is dimensioned so that it can withstand the normal current continuously, but already melts at higher current values, for example double or triple the current strength, even if that Solder joint 2 should not have addressed yet.
With longer lasting, less severe overloads occurs due to the then instead of heating of the soldering point 2 by the machine to be protected BEZW. the Illeiz coil 1 a softening of the soldering point, so that the retaining pin 8 is moved into the disengaged position by the spring 7 .
In both cases, the current '#adureh is cut off so that the bypass to the fuse formed by wire 19, retaining pin 8 and soldering point 2 is opened so that the fuse 3 </ B> receives full current and melts.
