Description
Verfahren und Einrichtung zum Einführen des Brennstoffes in den Verbrennungs raum von Verbrennungsmotoren mit Einspritzung des Brennstoffes allein. Für Ölmotoren, bei denen der Brennstoff mittelst Düsen fein verteilt in den Verbren nungsraum eingespritzt wird, ist es für eine gute Verbrennung sehr wesentlich, dass sich dabei die Verbrennungsluft in wirbelnder Be wegung befindet. Beim Dieselmotor wird das in bekannter Weise dadurch erreicht, dass man den Brennstoff mit Hilfe hochkompri mierter Luft in den Verbrennungsraum ein bläst.
Bei Motoren mit Einspritzung des Brennstoffes allein, d. h. ohne Verwendung von Einblaseluft, werden Wirbel in der Ver brennungsluft vielfach dadurch hervorgebracht, dass ein Teil der Luft vom Kolben abge schnürt und durch einen engen Querschnitt zwischen diesem und der innern Gehäusewand in den eigentlichen Verbrennungsraum ge trieben wird.
Gemäss vorliegender Erfindung wird bei Einspritzung von Brennstoff allein in mehreren Brennstoffstrahlen in den Verbrennungsraum eine Wirbelung der Verbrennungsluft dadurch erreicht, dass die Einspritzung wenigstens eines der Brennstoffstrahlen vor den andern bewirkt wird. Die Brennstoffmenge dieses zuerst ein gespritzten Strahles verbrennt sofort, erzeugt aber örtlich eine Temperatur- und Drucker höhung, die sich rasch unter Wirbelbildung in den übrigen Verbrennungsraum verbreiten. Die später eingespritzten Brennstoffstrahlen treffen somit auf diese wirbelnde Verbren nungsluft.
Die beiliegende Zeichnung zeigt schematisch ein Ausführungsbeispiel einer Einrichtung zur Ausübung des Verfahrens.
In den Verbrennungsraum R münden drei Brennstoffdüsen <I>Dl,</I> D2 und<B>DB</B> ein. Die Vor einspritzung erfolgt durch die Düse Dl und wird dadurch erreicht, dass in die Drucklei tung der gemeinschaftlichen Brennstoffpumpe P nach der Abzweigung zur Düse D', da gegen vor den Abzweigungen zu den Düsen D' und D3 ein Hemmnis in Form eines feder belasteten Ventils V eingeschaltet ist.
Die Einspritzung durch die nach diesem Organ angeschlossenen Düsen D2 und D3 wird da durch verzögert und somit später erfolgen als diejenige durch die Düse D', die mit der Lei tung verbunden ist, welche vor dem Ventil V abzweigt. Durch Veränderung der Belastung dieses letzteren kann die Verzögerung in der Einspritzung reguliert werden. Wenn man nach der zweiten Düse ein weiteres Hemmnis einschaltet, so kann man auch die Einspritzung der Düse D1 gegenüber derjenigen durch die Düse D2 verzögern, falls dies wünschenswert erscheint.

For oil engines in which the fuel is finely distributed into the combustion chamber by means of nozzles, it is very important for good combustion that the combustion air is in a swirling motion. In the case of diesel engines, this is achieved in a known manner by blowing the fuel into the combustion chamber with the aid of highly compressed air.
In engines with fuel injection alone, i. H. Without the use of blown air, eddies in the combustion air are often caused by the fact that part of the air is constricted from the piston and driven into the actual combustion chamber through a narrow cross section between it and the inner housing wall.
According to the present invention, when fuel is injected into the combustion chamber solely in a plurality of fuel jets, a swirling of the combustion air is achieved in that at least one of the fuel jets is injected before the others. The amount of fuel from this first sprayed jet burns immediately, but locally generates a temperature and pressure increase, which spreads rapidly into the rest of the combustion chamber with the formation of eddies. The fuel jets injected later hit this swirling combustion air.
The accompanying drawing shows schematically an embodiment of a device for performing the method.
Three fuel nozzles <I> D1, </I> D2 and <B> DB </B> open into the combustion chamber R. The pre-injection takes place through the nozzle Dl and is achieved by the fact that in the pressure line of the common fuel pump P after the branch to the nozzle D ', there is an obstacle in the form of a spring-loaded valve in front of the branches to the nozzles D' and D3 V is on.
The injection through the nozzles D2 and D3 connected to this organ is delayed and thus takes place later than that through the nozzle D ', which is connected to the line which branches off in front of the valve V. By changing the load on the latter, the delay in the injection can be regulated. If a further obstacle is switched on after the second nozzle, the injection of the nozzle D1 can also be delayed with respect to that through the nozzle D2, if this appears desirable.
